She was not from the same world as him, she had not seen the things Sephiroth did with the blade. He put Angeal's previous skills into a remedial stage, but now Angeal had no idea how they would match up. As a matter of fact the way he ripped those PSICOM soldiers really was something to behold, even though he was not proud of killing in such a fashion. Still though, the savage acts he saw in his days as companions with Sephiroth were more than he had done in his life. ''Um, let me put it like this. He is probably the most powerful being I have ever had the pleasure and displeasure of fighting'', he said looking at his wide open palms. The cool air pushed its way through Angeal's hair shifting it from one side to the other......except his sideburns, they with stand ALL natural occurrences.
His face wanted to smile at the memories of his days in SOLDIER but then it was pushed far from his mind when he remembered his grim task. He wondered if there was any chance of him actually beating Sephiroth, but those thoughts quickly threw themselves from his head as he was brought back to reality.
Nobody knew the whirlpool of emotions that raged about inside Angeal, he prided himself keeping his cool in situations when the normal man would crumble. The thoughts gnawed at the back of his skull as a dog does at a bone when hungry, he wanted so badly to just find another way to keep his humanity and not have to kill Sephiroth, but he was sure there was no way to do so. How could a person be close to someone one day and be tasked to kill them the next, when in actuality it had been years since the two had met. But he was with Fang now, and the fact that his time was limited made him want to spend all the time he could with her.
He flopped back into the dirt causing a small cloud of dust to be displaced from its original position and be thrust into the air. ''I don't really want to talk about it anymore, it I die I die, if I don't then I become a crystal, seems like catch 22 to me, ya know?'', he asked her. His arms propped themselves behind his head and he stared up wondering if that was his final destination, beyond the stars.

~HighWind Nightmare~“Yeah, its unfair, but guess what, we grin and bear it like good l'cie.” The most powerful thing. Well that sounded like a jolly old time. The most powerful being. Somehow she decided he meant what he said. In SOLDIER they must have fought some pretty tough things right? Sephiroth must be pretty powerful. Fang wondered at that, but didn't make a comment. He was right, the road ahead of him looked pretty bleak, but he had the power the fal'cie had granted him right? If he had been able to fight this Sephiroth in the past even mildly close to winning it should be a lot easier with his power. But she didn't speak that aloud. It was nice, just laying here talking instead of having to run around fighting all the time. Fang thrived on those circumstances, but sometimes she needed a break.
Her hair was tousled and she yawned silently then. “It sounds like you'll need lady luck on your side if you want to make it through this.” Fang believed in lady luck, but of course that only went so far. Really it was up to each individual person to make their own destiny and fulfill their own dreams. You trained hard, worked hard and fought hard and you should get by. At least she hoped it would work out like that. Stubborn pride only got you so far, the rest was up to you if you made it or not. In the future Fang would feel ready to give up many times, but each time she did Fang would realize just how much she had to look forward to. Besides, her family in the future would be there for her, to make her realize just how much she needed them.
The future for both of them looked bleak, but he was right. Why talk about it when soon it would become reality for both of them. She couldn't help but wonder, but as for the talking, she didn't need to talk about it anymore, he was right. “Alroight then, Subject closed.” She cleared her throat, and glanced again at Cocoon lit up in the distance. “I used to sit up on the highplanes on the Steppe's and look at Cocoon off in the distance and just wonder why they took my family away from me.” She could hardly remember her family, only the hatred she had felt afterwards when she realized it was Anima's fault. It was the fal'cie's fault that her family had been killed because he hadn't been able to protect them.
She should just go back to being the hard, ice cold woman she normally was. This whole being nice and talking to someone wasn't really like her. Keep it all locked in and you'd survive. It was when it was all laid out on the table that you started developing weaknesses. She rubbed her face with her hands and leaned her head back down again.

He could not recollect any memories of him being stationary like her, he seemed to always be on the move, no down time. But she sat and actually had time to think about such things as family. Of course Angeal had thought about his mother before, but she had even walked out on him, much like he did Zack and SOLDIER as a whole. ''I never really wondered about family, I kind of had it all in SOLDIER, we were brothers in arms. As cliche as that sounds, a lot of blonds and brother-ships were formed by the blade and ended by the same'', he said picking up a stick and beginning to draw with it in the dirt, most kids drew stick figures of houses and cars, but Angeal only drew disturbed doodles as a toddler, swords and armored men whom he sent into battle. He wondered now as an adult if there were any spouses that waited on their return, any children to await them as they returned triumphant from whatever pseudo war Angeal had made in his mind. But I digress....
There was no family to go back to for a warrior who had been fighting as long as he had, in most cases that is. However he supposedly had Zack who proved to be his own downfall through his own fault however, in all actuality he appreciated Zack ending him, or else he risked losing his honor. And as he had preached before a man with no honor was no quality of a man at all, and Angeal was no different. The bullet wound in his side began to tingle as he remembered all the times he went off into tangents to Zack about honor and Zack would get so confused. But with Angeal's fall came the opportunity for Zack to rise into his own, and this pleased Angeal to an extent, because he finally got to see the kid become first class.
The night air had began to take a toll on Angeal, his lungs had started to accommodate themselves to the cold wind entering and exiting. It gave a feeling of constriction, no doubt breathing in more than freezing air was easier than having your lungs freeze over. The mist started showing on his breath, which caused him to cup his hands over his mouth to warm his hands, it did little though.
At least she had known her family on more than a superficial level, which in retrospect probably made losing them all the harder. In this case Angeal had had the luxury of detachment and therefore he shed no tears when his mother died, so rather than offering anymore commentary on the situation he turned his eyes back to the ground and started his analysis of the dirt and the creatures within it, the ones he could see anyways. His hands started to tug at numbness and he knew the fire was an excellent way to maintain his body temperature, so he scooted next to it and held his solemnity as to not show weakness.

~HighWind Nightmare~“Yeah, its unfair, but guess what, we grin and bear it like good l'cie.” Actually that didn't sound half bad, not really wondering about your family. Fang tried not to, but there was always that sentimental part of her that wondered. Still, she wasn't actually surprised in the least that he didn't really think about his family ever. He was the kind that didn't seem all for the whole mushy family thing. Not of course, that she could blame him for that. Anyone having lived his life, with the SOLDIER thing and all, probably hadn't thought all about their family all that much. Of course, she could be wrong about that. “Either way they're dead and buried, best not to think about them to much.” Even trying as hard as she could, Fang had a hard time remembering her family in the least. The orphanage was a clearer memory, and the anger at Anima for failing to protect them.
In SOLDIER they were that tight of friends? Fang hadn't ever really felt very close to any friends other then Vanille. Harboring a grudge against a fal'cie and being an orphan would do that to you. Besides, she hadn't had time to be buddy buddy with anyone after being turned to a l'cie. Of course, her memory had been wiped clean on that subject as well. “SOLDIER didn't sound all that bad, though of course I wasn't there. Someday, your going to have to show me this world of yours. I'd like to see what its like.” Fang hadn't known there was any other worlds other then Gran Pulse or Cocoon out there, but according to what he said there was at least one other world.
She meant what she had said however, seeing somewhere else might be a nice thing. Of course, getting to go now wasn't an option. She couldn't think of anything past getting her focus completed. She didn't have 14 years, Vanille could be turned into a cie'th at any time. Especially with her heightened emotions and what she had gone through lately. Fang needed complete the focus as soon as was possible, sooner then that actually. Being turned to crystal might not be the best way to go, but it was a lot better then being turned to cie'th. After...she could still hold onto that idea, that hope that Angeal was right and she would have a future after this journey had been completed.
She was trying to think positively here, which wasn't always easy. Vanille could teach her a few things, like how to have fun even if you were dealing with a huge load on your shoulders. The night air was being blown along with a gentle breeze, and though it was chilly, it wasn't freezing. Still, she felt a bit of a shiver run through her body and that pulled her back out of her thinking. Angeal had scooted closer to the fire, so she followed suit. Maybe it would be fine after she completed the focus. At least she had something to look forward to now. The fire warmed him completely, then he saw through his periphery Fang scooting nearer to him and the fire. Of course in Angeal's mind she was just moving next to him, the twisted thought patterns of the male mind huh? He began to blush, and frantically he wanted a way to get the blush off of his face so she would not be able to see. ''Oh yeah, my home world....No... That's not a place you want to go, this Gran Pulse place is wonderful and dangerous at the same time. That place is just a constant struggle to stay alive. Unless you go to the right part, but honestly I have no Idea where that is now'', he said looking into the dancing fire and seeing his world with screaming voices and flames signifying it's downfall.
As much as he hated to admit it, Angeal's part in SOLDIER had a part in destroying Gaia, or degrading it at least. It was his fault to some extent, him, Sephiroth, and Genesis were all key components in SOLDIER and it's conquest of the world. He knew this all too well, many had told them with their eyes and other gestures when Angeal would walk passed. The children were wrenched from the streets by parents who did not want their children to be exposed to him. ''People don't exactly like me on my planet. SOLDIER does some pretty bad things'', he said rubbing his neck in the back and craning it into the hand that was on it.
Hard to believe someone could dislike Angeal I mean.... Sideburns....duh...

~HighWind Nightmare~“Yeah, its unfair, but guess what, we grin and bear it like good l'cie.” He seemed to know her very well. Even saying that she didn't want to go to his home world. “Its that bad?” honestly that only made her want to see it more. She hadn't thought anything more then Cocoon or Gran Pulse existed, and now to figure out there were more worlds out there. It made her adventurous side kick in. Someday, whether he liked it or not, she would probably end up there sometime anyway. It was just her way, give her a challenge and she would be there to complete it. So just the fact that he said she wouldn't like it made her want to go even more so. Yet it felt almost horrible, obviously you couldn't just dislike the place you grew up in and lived in. So obviously it had to be really bad for him to say that?
“Gran Pulse is definitely the place for me, wide open spaces, big beasts and a lot of sun, but I've always thought there was nothing else other then Pulse and Cocoon. I'd like to see how this world is so horrible.” But of course, with how far her arguments had been going since she had met Angeal she doubted he would listen to her now either. One could always try however. Sitting down and crossing her legs again, Fang felt the heat from the fire warm her an stifled a yawn with her hand. Had the day been really this long? She had woken up on Cocoon and ended up in Gran Pulse.
Eventful day. She didn't notice the blush, and if she had, Fang would have attributed it to the heat of the fire. Sometimes she wondered about atonement and all that stuff. SOLDIER had done that bad of stuff? Her own mind flashed back to the Gorge when she had come up with the idea of raising hell with a fal'cie and having that possibly jumpstart their memories. It hadn't worked out that way, instead a little boy had been turned to l'cie, no chance...no future. That was something that had been eating at her conscience little by little. In the future she would get to apologize for what had happened, but until then she would have to life with the guilt she pretended wasn't there.
“We've all done things that we regret. Can't be any worse then hanging out with me on Cocoon. At least entire squads of the military don't try and come wipe you out just for breathing.” Of course, there was another thing she wasn't sure about, “Or do they?” They had somehow gotten onto this unpleasant subject again. “So you'd refuse to let me see this Gaia?” Not that it would ever happen. She had a focus to complete, not a vacation to take. She couldn't leave to go anywhere anyway. So why bother wanting to go anywere? The cold air and the warm fire created a medium of body temperatures in Angeal, hot, but yet cold, similar to riding with the windows down in the cold with the heat blasting in a car(Which is amazing btw). He looked at her sideways as she asked if military came after you, and the truth was, when you were a good SOLDIER who stayed in line then you WERE the army. But if sedition was more up your alley, then yes, they sent the entire company at you, turks included. Angeal, Zack, Cloud, Genesis, and Sephiroth all had gon against SOLDIER and all of them had come close to death, if not they had died. That goes to show you employee appreciation...
What ticked Angeal off is that he gave up his humanity for SOLDIER and he died for it too, which in his mind was honorable, but he had seen children killed, mothers weep, and men slaughtered. ''Yeah, that's what they did to my student Zack, the entire SOLDIER core came after him. He took them all on, killed a majority then he was gunned down'', he said the emotions flooding him and the memories of Zack fading.
Nothing should be subjected to such a gruesome death, he was probably numb though, the pain would have long passed by the second or third bullet wound. ''I don't want you to see how that world is, poverty, and corruption run rampant'', he said running his nails through the dirt allowing it to go under his finger nails. The feel of the earth between his fingers breathed new life into his lungs, suddenly he realized that he had not been to Gaia in about 10 years perhaps it had been changed by something.
But he doubted it...

~HighWind Nightmare~ “I guess I deserve it...after what I did.” Fang didn't see the sideways glance he had shot in her direction, instead she was peering into the night again. She had the tendency of looking off in a faraway manner whenever she was thinking about something. Eyes were sparkling, reflecting he fire that was shining its light around them, but for now she rested with her chin on her hand, knees bent once again. Of course she couldn't go to Gaia, not just because it wouldn't be the easiest to get there from Gran Pulse, but because of what she was.
More and more so she was wishing to not be a l'cie. How nice not to have to worry about anything. Of course, that was the reason the Cocoon citizens hated pulse l'cie so much. They were a threat to their perfect world. If there were no l'cie there was virtually no danger. The fal'cie had made them into their own little pets. Something Fang could never deal with. The people of Cocoon were good and in that way the fal'cie gave them what they wanted in return. They were nothing more then slaves that were forced to obey the fal'cie's every wish and demand. A hell of a way to live your life, Fang thought Cocoon citizens were weak scum that did nothing more then hide behind their mass numbers and pretend to do be strong.
Yeah roight. those that fought behind a crowd were weak. It was those that stood alone that were the most powerful. That was her way of thinking, at yet, how many times had Vanille chewed her out and told her that she needed to let others in, let others help, not go it alone and all that jazz? Probably thousands. The more they talked the more it seemed that they had faced many of the same things in their lives. Someone to relate to, it was actually somewhat nice...having someone that understood. “An entire army....you SOLDIER's really aren't people to be reckoned with are ya.” Curling her hand into a fist, Fang proceeded to look down at it and wonder what the future would bring for her. Would an entire army come after her at some point? PSICOM wasn't anything to a l'cie, but in mass quantity...
Shoving that thought out as well, Fang listened. “Alroight then. I still say that goes on just about everywhere you go though.” With a yawn Fang leaned down until she was laying on her side facing the fire. Her lance was there next to her and she thought about the past. It had been different growing up here then anywhere else had been. But maybe 500 years did that to a world. “Oerba, the village I grew up in. It wasn't like that. No one had their own things, we all lived together. The whole clan. But of course, beneath the surface it wasn't much different.” Closing her eyes, Fang smiled in remembrance, that had been a long time ago...
“You just remember that promise and come back here then, since I can't come to this Gaia after I'm done.” stated in a matter o fact way, she wasn't taking no for an answer. She would see him, that faith was back. Maybe having someone around that was just as hard headed as she was was a good thing...

Something was going on with him, she spoke of promises, and he never made those to ANYONE. Because the matter of the fact was, he might not live long enough to see the promise come to fruition, and he knew his honor would take a shot if a promise went unfulfilled. But it gave him a feeling of inspiration, a need to stay alive, just to see her again. A feeling that regardless his living and getting back to her was a constant in this equation of traps, and perpetual violence. Worst come to worst, and he does not come back to her, she gets mad, nay, livid. He began to think what her reaction would be at the news of his death, and he did not doubt for a second that she would not hesitate to enter the lifestream and beat the hell out of him for his incompetence.
''Honestly, I have no idea if I will be able to with my focus and all things being accounted for. I hate to say it, because it has gotten extremely cliche, but I could die at ANY time, so don't ya know...bank on my reappearance'', he said rubbing his side burn and tracing it down to his chin. ''I never noticed this....But my sideburns are pretty epic. But on a more important note, Please don't be too mad if I can't come back to you. It will be through no fault of my own'', he said smiling hoping she would not smack him don right then and there, she was definitely violent and feisty enough to do it.
The night air became restless and rustled his hair about him making it go in his eyes and he refused to do anything to contain it. ''Oerba? What's that, I've talked enough, and now you need to do the same'', he said folding his arms and leaning back on a boulder which stood behind him about the same height and width of his shoulder (Haha I rhymed).

~HighWind Nightmare~ “I guess I deserve it...after what I did.” So scratch that idea as well. Honestly she couldn't blame him. Why make promises you might not be able to keep? It made her respect him more, not angry that he couldn't promise anything. Laying there watching the flames, Fang wondered about her own promise. Would she be able to find Vanille and get her back here before it was cie'th city? That time back in the gorge when she had promised. 'Don't you worry, I'll come and find you, no matter where you go.' Would that be something she couldn't keep? The pressure was weighing down on her again, but as always she put up a front of emotionless strength and let it go. That was what she was good at, so she would just go on and fulfill that promise, no matter the costs.
“Ok noted. So this is the last time we'll ever see each other...seems appropriate for l'cie.” Closing her eyes again, she lay there with her head on her arm and listened to the crackle of the flames. So relaxed, more so then she had been since she had woken up on that god forsaken planet Cocoon. Somehow she knew she could relax a bit, let her guard down. Besides, they had a 5 ton dog to watch over them, Fang was pretty confident she could relax without getting eaten by anything. There was always that chance however, thus the lance resting within easy reaching distance.
Men were so strange when it came to their facial hair. Seriously, who randomly talked about their sideburns? With a smile on her lips, Fang opened her eyes and turned her head until she was looking over at where he was sitting. “Epic?” Yet the seriousness penetrated when he made the comment about it not being his fault. He was right, really, when it came right down to it, there was nothing either of them could do about the destiny of being a l'cie. Turning back to the flame, Fang had a quiet moment as she stared into them. Finally she answered him. “I wont blame you, hell, I know the feeling.” Eyes narrowed slightly as she brooded about the fal'cie and l'cie. What would happen when she figured out it was her own decision to become a l'cie?
With a chuckle Fang raised her head and propped her hand underneath her head to keep it up. “Just when I thought I'd get outta talkin'.” Green eyes got that faraway look again as she relived her time growing up in Oerba. “Oerba...I really did love it there. It was the village I grew up in...so lush and green, with flowers all around it. Everyone...lived together. Like one big happy family, there wasn't anything that was 'mine' or 'yours' it was ours. All the clans livin' together. My clan was the Yun clan, thus my name....Oerba Yun Fang.” With a sigh she stopped for a moment. Would it even still be around? 500 years was a long time, especially with the fate of the village unknown after Cocoon's surface had been ripped by l'cie...by Fang...only she couldn't remember. “Its a long ways from here, but if you want to see the place I grew up I'll take you there. It might not even be around though.” Blinking, Fang rose until she was sitting and glanced over at him. “It has...after all, been 500 years since I was last alive and on Gran Pulse.” He'd probably get a kick out of knowing she was that old, of course, she was twenty one in real age.

Angeal blinked at first not paying attention assuming that she was being sarcastic. But sarcastic to what? Angeal hadn't said anything, was she really...that old? ''Huh'', He double took to her about twelve times, if that was possible. 500 hundred years definitely trumped his nominal 26, and she still looked younger than he did, he had been battle conditioned, but she not only had been alive longer, but this meant she had probably been in more battles. That fact did not discourage him much, he took solace in the fact that not many people could hold a candle to him in the category of hand to hand or sword to sword combat.
''Five hundred? Wow you're old, like really old. I mean if you were any older you would probably turn to dust'', he took a long pause before speaking again and choosing his words very carefully. He realized his last couple comments probably would not go over too well with Fang. He knew women did not like it when you commented on their age, but honestly she pulled the whole super old thing off with out any problem, because the fact still remained she looked young.
Finally he decided to see just how far he could push it without her becoming irate and smashing his face in. He looked to Cerberus hoping something would cause him to come closer so that he could prevent Fang from slugging him one for his following statement. ''You freaking fossil'', he said smiling and having a few chuckles all the while bracing himself from an inevitable punch or something of the sort. For some reason time seemed to slow down allowing him to to think of every possible outcome. With every passing second he became more aware of how bad of a decision he had made by saying it.

~HighWind Nightmare~ “I guess I deserve it...after what I did.” Fang waited for the comments about her age. Yes, technically she was five hundred and twenty one years old. When she had been twenty one she had completed her focus, thus being turned to crystal. For the next five hundred years she had remained that way, in crystal stasis, her gift for completing her focus. But the fal'cie had ended that time when he had brought them to Cocoon and revived her and Vanille once again, this time with a new focus. Sitting there looking at the flames, she glanced over her shoulder to see Angeal staring at her. Yup, maybe she should have mentioned the age thing earlier...
Then again he might not say anything. As they remained in silence Fang lifted her lips into a smile and waited for the inevitable. Sure enough, he recovered quicker then she had thought he would, or anyone would. How were you supposed to react to that anyway? Fang tried to put herself in his shoes and wondered what she would say if he had told her the exact same thing. It didn't seem all that odd to her however, having lived through it and being that old. “Five hundred and twenty one years old actually.” That part made her smirk. Seems he was still somewhat recovering from that comment.
Part of her wondered if he actually believed her or if he was just thinking she was joking. She was actually that old, but in reality she had only been alive for twenty one of all those years. For some reason she sat there with her knees bent and glanced over at him out of the corner of her eyes. The first comment made her raise her eyebrows and look at him, but it didn't get her back up like the next one did. Fossil?! Who was he calling a fossil!? In a matter of seconds Fang had risen to her knees and was now glaring at Angeal. “Who'r you callin' a fossil?!” Kneeling there glaring at him, Fang wondered if he did want to die today. Not by any damn PSICOM either. She would gladly wipe that smirk right off his face. He sure was pushing the issue. Oh yes, no calmly asking if it was true for him, or even how. Just calling her a fossil. Yup, he wanted to die.
Should she just punch him and get it over with? Or tackle him back into the ground? Either way would work. She chose the later. In seconds she had went from kneeling to tackling him back into the ground. Putting a hand on his chest to hold him down, she glared down at him. “Kindly take that back?” Spitfire might not be a good enough term for Fang. But he had brought it upon himself with a comment like that. No one called Fang a fossil and go away with it. “I haven't actually been alive for that long. I'm twenty one, but I have been in crystal stasis for the last five hundred years.”

He opened his mouth and let out a brief laugh at her immediate reaction, ''Whoa Whoa calm down old woman, don't want you to hurt your hip or something'', he chuckled and in a blink she was on top of him. It didn't scare him at all, as a matter of fact the lack of space between them was a bit more desirable. He could do nothing but stare up into her eyes with a questioned expression plastered across his face, she was wildly gorgeous in a way that he had not seen in a woman ever before in his life. It did not scare him but rather attracted him to her further. He knew his silence would compel her to become more aggressive, which he was willing to deal with in this position.
''Now let's say hypothetically...I don't take it back...Then what happens?'', he said provocatively. Of course this statement would ignite her more competitive side. He turned his head with a 'pfft' expression on his face exposing the side of his face and neck on purpose, who knew what she would do next.
''Something tells me you aren't gonna do a thing old....woman...'', he said adding fuel to her already raging fire. He knew he should stop trying her patience before he found his head planted in the dirt under it.

~HighWind Nightmare~ “I guess I deserve it...after what I did.” Apparently Fang hadn't thought that move through all the way. Though she was kneeling on the ground, she was still halfway laying on him as he chuckled and stared up at her. Good thing he was enjoying himself. So like a man, not to take her seriously, which only made her temper flair a bit more. Yet with an effort she held it firmly in check and only glared down at him, green eyes snapping. The silence moved its way around them as she mulled over whether to reply or not. Why reply? It would only give him the satisfaction of riling her up a bit more. So she pressed her lips together and knelt there staring down at him.
His next question made her stiffen and retreat, getting off him completely and sitting back on her heels. She was getting in to deep with this. So taking a step back physically and emotionally, Fang sat on her heels and raised an eyebrow. “Enjoying playin' with me are ya?" Playing with her temper, getting her to explode. He sure was good at it though, because the next comment got her temper flaring again. Old woman! “Tch. Better watch your mouth, or it just might be full of dirt as you stare down into the Gran Pulse ground.”
Fang turned and sat down, still close, but looked into the fire again, controlling her temper. Which wasn't easy with him around. Not many could get her to loose her temper so quickly. Yet she withdrew emotionally as well. “Any more wise cracks 'bout me bein' a fossil or are ya' done now?” Sending him a glare of her shoulder, Fang sat there and crossed her arms. The night was cooler, but with the fire they should be able to manage just fine. Eyes drooped a bit as she sat there, had the day really been that long? Where had the time gone? Of course, outrunning PSICOM and running into Angeal had been an exciting day to say the least.
With a yawn Fang stretched her arms and arched her back to get the kinks out. Tilting her head back again, she looked at the stars once more. “Ya know, I almost liked it better when you were hurtin' from that wound, at least you were easier to deal with then.” Under her breath she added, “Less cheeky.” For once with him she hadn't risen to the challenge and taken the bait. Realizing he was just playing with her went a long ways. So keeping temper in check, Fang glanced at him and didn't look away for a moment.

''Awww'', he groaned as he retreated from his proximity, it truly was nice to have her that close to him on a regular basis. However he could tell that she was being made uncomfortable by his antics, he needed to stop them. Time for some of that Angeal suave that may or may not have been diminished because of his wound. In the blink of an eye he was darting toward her and he pinned her in the same fashion she had gotten him in a few seconds earlier. This one however was with affection more than anger. The care was noted by his fingers weeving themselves within hers and him looking her square in the eyes. Her hands were warm and delicate but at the same time destructive. He wished so badly that his gloves stood in between their skin being against eachothers.
He looked into her eyes and knew immediately that he could deal with seeing her face when he rose n the morning. Which was weird because he did not even know if he would stay alive. Maybe in his mind he had already rationalized that he would do whatever it took to be with her. His position was one of dominance however, and he smiled warmly at her. ''Look, I didn't mean you're old. You're the most wildly beautiful thing I have ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on Fang, Your age is not something I care about'', he knew she didn't need this but he felt obligated to let her know what he thought of her after those jokes.
Hopefully this wouldn't turn into one of those awkward moments that left the both of them silent for the rest of the night. As a man Angeal never expressed himself well, being that he never saw it a need because he would never get attached to a woman in his line of work. So it came to him as a surprise when he said this, ''Did I really just say that?'', he asked himself out loud as if he was alone. Then he took solace in the fact that he did mean it and he snapped back to reality and met her gaze once more. ''Yes I did And I meant it'', he said triumphantly as if conquering himself.
''I...I feel at peace here in this place...with you, it's like you allow me to be more myself than anyone else ever could'', he said looking over her face for a change in expression. He adjusted himself so he was not leaning all of his weight down on her from this position. Something about her put him in a state of tranquility, even though according to her this place was extremely dangerous, which brought another point. He felt oddly safe while around her, not that Angeal was weak or anything, he just knew she would have his back.
''I know this is sort of odd coming from me...I'm not normally this mushy'' , he said retreating a bit himself and loosening his gip onher hands, which wasn't tight to begin with. ''You probably didn't want to hear that'', he said feeling bad about himself and his open-ness with her, he thought he was supposed to be a cold ruthless war machine who only throve in danger. Yet here he was being all emotional with her. Oh how his walls had fallen and she was breaching him without any problem
