~HighWind Nightmare~ ”I made a promise...to protect my family. ” She thought about what he said. “Its no that...” She trailed off then, unsure of exactly how to express her feelings about what she felt. What did she want exactly? She had wanted to be off Cocoon and be back on Gran Pulse, but now that she was here, she realized it was more then that. She wanted to have Vanille here with her, she wanted to have it be like it used to be, with happy clan members and children running around, the festivals, the towns. She wanted to remember what her focus was, to be done with the fal'cie and never have to worry about her friend turning into a cie'th. For too long she had felt the weight of maintaining her determination. Of always being strong and facing what came at her, of having to face reality, she had always tried to protect Vanille, to shield her from bad things, like any older sister would do. But she just wanted to be able to smile and laugh with Vanille again. To be able to relive the past, and to have that future Angeal seemed determined to make her get.“Being back here is...it makes me think theres some way, some hope...but it doesn't FIX anything! I've still got this brand, and time is still ticking. Nothings changed.”
She lay there and stared at the stars, but now she wasn't seeing the twinkling of life so far away. No, in her mind was he way Vanille had looked when she had forced her into that elevator. She couldn't let Vanille have shock. That would just speed up her brand, but the look of defeat and sadness in her eyes had tore at her heart. How could she express everything when Vanille rejected finishing their focus?! They had to go on, even if it was unfair. Fang lifted her hands from underneath her head to rub her face. She hated not knowing what to do next, where to go. She needed a plan! She needed to know where to go, and yet she couldn't remember.
The words of gratitude that came from his mouth seemed sincere, and she knew it wasn't easy for him to say them. Fang could be heartless, cold and utterly withdrawn, but she had more compassion then anyone would guess. “Thats what I do Angeal. I stick to decisions I make, good or bad.” She felt a smile tug at her lips when he told her that she was he best friend he'd had in a long time. Her smile turned to a chuckle, “Considering I've hit you more times then I've hugged you, I think you need better friends.” When he walked away she was puzzled. She continued to lay there for a moment, wondering why he had suddenly shut himself down and withdrew, as he did often.
Suddenly she sat up and glanced over to where he was laying. “So thats it? Do you always walk away from things?” She got up and went to the fire, leaning down and picking up sticks to bank the fire with. She stared into it for a moment arms crossed, lost in thought maybe he had been right when he had told her it was ok to let people in. Was he right? Should she let others in? Her entire life she had been taught to rely on herself, not to trust others, and now she was actually thinking about doing it.

He laid there for a moment, he had been telling her to let someone into her heart, but here he was having problems doing it himself, what a hypocrite. He tossed and turned until he felt comfortable and then when he heard what he said he sat back up as to reply. ''I'm not walking away from just anything, I'm walking away from someone I don't wanna hurt'', he said trying not to look her in the face as he did not want to meet her gaze and immediately melt. He wanted to stay resolved in this effort, if he and Fang got too close he ran the risk of leaving her when he did not want to. She meant a lot to him as it was, and dying on her was out of the question. So what was his solution? To push her away as far as possible, it was best for her, and him in the fact that he would not have to worry about leaving her behind.
''I have already almost died on you twice, if I let you in and someone actually gets lucky enough to kill me..... What are you gonna do Fang'', he asked and turned his head to the ground. ''I know the kind of life I lead, and I could not leave you and hurt you like that'', he said looking down still and hoping she would not scold him for making it seem like she was dependent on him. ''Every battle I go into, it's like I don't care if I return alive or not, but now I have you to think about, and Fate, and Sonny'', he trailed off looking at Cerberus sitting guard about 50 yards off.
''I have people who genuinely care about me and it scares me to death thinking about not seeing them anymore. I would think about you every time I risk my life, and it clouds me and my abilities'', he said fighting the urge to look at her. He was sure that her gaze was a hateful one at this point. But he spoke straight with her hoping she would understand.

~HighWind Nightmare~ “Thats your future right there, all you've gotta do is survive.” Instead of being completely serious when Angeal told her that he had almost died on her twice, she surprised herself by laughing. “That is very true. But in case you haven't noticed, your not dead yet.” Stirring up the flames, Fang then turned toward him and put her hands on her hips. Nodding at him, she shrugged her shoulders, “Your forgetting something. I'm just as apt to leave you as you are to leave me.” She rolled her shoulder towards him, “Dont'cha remember? I'm a l'cie, same as you.” Crossing her arms then as he asked her basically what she was going to do. “Me? Well I'd go on to complete my focus. What else is there for me?” She made it sound so...unattached, yet that wasn't what she meant. She was just looking at the reality of the situation, what she would have to do, what she was going to do anyway. She had to remind him that she was not going to rely on him for her life. “Besides, I have to go on to complete it anyway, either way I'm either a cie'th or a crystal.”
What she didn't get was the fact that he had yelled at her for having the same opinion as he did now. “Now that you have me? Angeal I can take care of myself. IF anything happened to you, I'm not...some flighty school girl that wouldn't know what to do.” Raising her brow, she looked down at him, “Besides, wasn't it only a few minutes ago back on Cocoon that you were chewing me up one side and down the other for having the same opinion?” Wow...talk about ironic. She wasn't about to let him win this argument. “You won the last argument we had on this subject, don't even think I'm lettin ya get away with winning now.”
“Oh well now we're gettin somewhere. I didn't ever think you'd admit to being scared of anything.”She went to sit by him, coming close and glancing at him from the side. “Oh yes, don't think your gettin out of this one.” She rested one leg atop the other in a crossways fashion and turned her head to look at him. “Fear is good if its controlled. You step back and make wiser decision if you have a little bit of fear...not that I would know though, so if you don't wanna take my advice on it, then you don't have to.” She understood more then he probably realized. She knew what it felt like, to reject getting close to anyone. Maybe that was the reason she felt drawn to Angeal, because he thought the same in a lot of ways, he was just more controlled while he did it, whereas she was wild.

Angeal got up and tried to walk away but something kept him from walking completely away from her. He turned around to her and sat back by her before she started talking again. ''I'm sorry Fang, I did not mean to make it seem as though you needed me, I just don't want you to get attached to me then something like today happens again but next time they actually finish the job'', he said looking down again. His eyes kept meeting with the ground because he knew he was being stupid as hell right now. All that talk he did about her letting people in and now he was reneging on his previous beliefs. He had his reasons for not wanting her to get hurt. He had to get through her head that he was not going to hurt her by dying on her.
Enough sin had plagued Angeal's life, from hurting people, to murder. Hurting this woman would not be one added to the list in his head. ''You can win this war of words, but my actions WILL reflect my argument. And trust me I don't need to get out of this one, I'm not going to drag you down with me if I die'', he said in a matter-of-fact tone.

~HighWind Nightmare~ “Thats your future right there, all you've gotta do is survive.” Fang shrugged slightly and gave a little half smile, almost like she was sad she had said that. He was right. As must as she hated admitting it, she had gotten attached to him. If she knew he was dead she would...well she didn't know exactly what she would do. She had made a promise to protect her family, but was he like her family? She sighed and put her hands on her hips, putting her head back like she did when she was either deep in thought of distressed about something. How was this going to work? She had tried to tell him as well as herself how they couldn't ever be together, but it hadn't worked, and now whether they liked it or not, they were attached. The very thing she swore never to do. She knew it held power over her, because like he said, if he died, what was she going to do? Except that he had time, she didn't. The thing was, she knew she would have to face reality, nothing ever lasted forever. She wouldn't be alive a year from now, so why even think about the future?
“Loike it or not Angeal, we're 'attached' to each other. Why else do you think I would even let ya' near me?” She turned her back on him then, “I don't loike this Angeal, being attached. It makes things complicated. Especially with you filling my head with nonsense only to turn around and be like that yourself. You actually had be believing that I had a future.” She felt a heaviness in her heart, and she didn't like that either. Fang narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms, trying to block him out of her thoughts and heart. It would do no good to think of him, besides, he was the one pushing her away. Not that she hadn't done enough pushing of her own. Deep down she knew he was right. But nothing lasted forever. Even she would be willing to give it a shot, knowing full well she couldn't shirk her responsibilities. Even if he did get over this attitude it didn't change anything. She still had to go on, get stronger and find out what her focus was.
“Tch. That your excuse?” She turned back then, walked toward him. The fire reflected off her wild green eyes as she did so. “You want that, Fine.” She had walked closer, and out of sudden recklessness she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. After she did she stepped back and retreated, both physically and emotionally, becoming the Fang everyone knew. The one that pushed you away and knew how reality was. Going, she picked up her lance and went toward where the light of the fire began to not be so bright. That was where she stopped, and with that she turned around, “You want that, you have it. You don't have to worry about me. I'll drag myself down.” Words: 630 Muse: good Notes: www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8xvv9kjd3I I saw this and went o.O but it actually kinda describes the setting with the music lol <3

Angeal turned around as she called his hypocrisy out, he hoped she let it go and he was wrong, she had grilled him on it and he had no rebuttal. ''I'm not saying that you...'', he said but was cut off by her lips pressed up against his and once more they were kissing. And this time not only did she want to do it, but she started. As soon as she started, she pulled away, it scared and confused him. He wanted her to keep going but she backed away looking like she was not sure about what she had just done. He looked at her as she spoke, and suddenly they were right back to it. Did she think the kiss was going to steal away his morale? Hah, hell no.
He straightened back up as she said she would drag herself down on her own. ''Over my dead body you will. I bet you're not going to damnit'', he snapped hoping to keep her on the retreat, but then he realized who she was and thought to himself, Damn, I just screwed myself up. He froze right then and there, he hesitated before he spoke. ''I'm not letting you go anywhere. I'm going down ALONE, you're the one with everything to live for. I don't'', he said bracing for certain death. He smiled unknowingly, he usually smiled when he was genuinely frightened.
Angeal knew how bullheaded she was, she was even more of a pitbull than he was. ''Oh crap'', was all he said before sitting down on the rock and preparing for a long yelling match that she would probably win if he let her.

~HighWind Nightmare~ “I made another promise...to protect...my family. Sometimes, you've gotta choose!” Well apparently she found one way to make him stop talking. Apparently she should have been kissing him this entire time. Maybe then he would start being quiet and listening to her more. That was nice, not arguing. Of course, that didn't last long. You see? She could try and agree with him, and then he would just on a rampage about how she shouldn't do what he had just told her to do. She laid a hand against her forehead and sighed, he contradicted himself way to much. She wondered how she could have met the one man who could match her when it came to stubborn pride and determination. Of course she would have to. The look on his face had been shock at first, but then it was almost like rage again when she mentioned that he was right.
First he didn't want her near him, then he wouldn't let her let it go. How was she ever supposed to know what he felt anyway? She wanted to go up to him and start making him understand what he was saying and slap some sense into him. Yet she didn't, because obviously that wasn't going to help anything. Not letting her go anywhere? Who the hell did he think he was anyway? This was HER home, and he couldn't do a damn thing to stop her from doing whatever she wanted to do. She marched up to him and stood as he sat down, green eyes blazing, but slowly, ever so slowly the blazing left. She laid her lance down and sat beside him, staring into the fire. “You know what? You contradict yourself more then anyone I've ever met.”
She should have walked off, but yet what was making it so she couldn't? It was more that he had been hurt, it was like she couldn't leave. Stretching her legs out, she tried to not let herself be mad. “Ok so we've established that your not letting me go anywhere. But have you considered that maybe you don't have a choice? Things happen that we can't control.” She always surprised herself, like now, she was calm when she probably could have flown off the handle. “Your a real pain in the neck. Why do you have to be so damn stubborn?” She said that with a little smile, because he was probably thinking the same thing of her. She wondered why he was even still there. “So what happens now? More yelling at each other? Or can we just disagree? You know neither one of us is going to win.” Words: 561 Muse: good Notes: none

''You can let it go, I already know what I'm going to do. You can not alter my course of action with a kiss, I'm stubborn true enough but you are too'', he said smiling and walking over to her and pulling her into another kiss. This one was a bit of a summation of his feelings towards her, it was deeper and had more passion behind it. She was not going anywhere apparently, and if she thought he was then this kiss would make it obvious how far in this situation they were in, and he was in it for the long one. He pulled away and looked at her in the eyes, blue eyes clashed with green and he tried to convey his feelings without words, he hated expressing his feelings through words, so cliche. His face was a bright red from the blood rushing to his cheeks, probably anticipating. But anticipating what? He had kissed her and she had punched him once, kissed him back, and he had just had his mouth attacked by her.
He looked off rubbing his neck and his other hand fell to the wrap that covered the hole in his side. He had really just confessed to her basically his deepest feelings to her and he wanted her not to reject him. Maybe she was going to return them, and if she did he would be extremely pleased. ''Um...I'm sorry for that Fang'', he said still rubbing his neck and looking into the ground. Come on now, he was not that stupid, he submitted to her before he even knew what she would do. This was uncharacteristic of him, he was really going through some changes and he wasn't sure that he liked it.
''Um, I guess I just bent, so you win......'', he knew he wasn't going to win and neither was she. But she was a woman, she held grudges.

~HighWind Nightmare~ ”“If you don't have the nerve for it, I'll do it myself! Go on alone, get stronger, and smash Cocoon out of the sky!”” He thought she had just been just trying to get him to change his mind? A puzzled look crossed her face as he said that. Oddly enough the thought hadn't crossed her mind until afterwards when he finally stopped yelling at her for her decisions. So maybe it was correct that she had been trying to get him to change his mind. Either way, she hadn't been trying anything. And then of course he had to go and just start smiling at the notion that she was stubborn as well.
Of course, she didn't have time to respond before they were once again kissing. Caught up in the moment, she was once again holding her arms around his neck and kissing him back. Why did he make her so confused?! One minute she was ready to be spitting nails at him she was so angry and then next she was allowing him to kiss her. No, that wasn't right, because she was kissing him back. For once she didn't know how to react to someone, and that of course meant she wasn't in control of the situation. It seemed as though just when she knew exactly what to say he would be kissing her and it would all erase from her mind.
She looked at him and didn't say anything, but her gaze was steady, not giving anything away. Or at least, she tried not to give anything away. She was probably failing miserably at it, but one could always make a valiant effort. He had asked her why she didn't let others in and the real reason was because she was afraid, not that she would admit it. Afraid they would be taken from her no matter what she could do. Afraid she wouldn't be strong enough to protect them. Then she chided herself, who was she kidding? Angeal could take care of himself. She didn't have to worry about that.
Confusion was still muddled in her eyes as she peered into his intense blue eyes. He was trying to tell her something, what? Every time it seemed like he would say something, he would look away. And yet was she so different? Yet his eyes...something, it seemed he had so much to say with them. And what the hell was she feeling? Did she even know what love was? Of course he seemed to have feeling for her, but he had admitted himself he didn't know what love was. But what did that matter? She had never felt the way she did about anyone else...and yet, she couldn't quite place the feeling. It was an annoyance to be confused.
“Oh come on now, we both know thats not true. But its aloight, ever think there was a time I didn't want to win an argument?” She didn't always like acting like she did. Sometimes she liked to be equal, no one winning against the other. “Besides, something tells me you'd never actually bend to me anyway, which, I have to say, is one of the reasons your so appealing.” Giving him a sharp look out of the corner of her eye she proceeded, “I guess I might like having met my match in the stubborn department.” She shrugged and crossed her arms, glancing away from him, not entirely sure she liked admitting that. Of course its not like she could suck that back in. Besides, maybe getting that out in the open was a good thing.

Angeal thought this time for sure that she would pop him on in the mouth, but surprisingly she kissed him back, and possibly with the same intensity that he began with. He looked down after they finished speaking with there eyes and seemed to be peering into hell and into the devil's heart. He could not stand being knocked out of his anger by compassion, it was like a sort of weakness. Some times SOLDIER would hire women to quell the anger of the more misanthropic operatives. A woman held enormous mind power, especially over a man who's mind was clouded by anger or any other type of clouding emotion. And it was on display here, he did not want her to get involved, but he could not be without her. Such a catch 22 here, and he did not want to make a decision because someone would lose.
A smirked lifted itself on his face and he knew for once in his life he would be able to trust someone not to die on him. He was only with her for a day but she was reliable and she had proven it. ''You're the stubborn one. Why can't you just listen to what I'm saying? I'm not the type you want to get mixed in with'', he said. Thn the thought of his focus came into play. ''And there is no way in hell I want you around when I face Sephiroth, he would not think twice about killing you. I just can't...'', he trailed off knowing how ruthless his old friend really was.
''Nah, I can't put you in that situation Fang... No not at all'', he said letting his face turn into a frown. ''If Sephiroth kills me, then he will kill me alone. You are not part of the deal.''

~HighWind Nightmare~ ”“If you don't have the nerve for it, I'll do it myself! Go on alone, get stronger, and smash Cocoon out of the sky!”” Fang raised her face up to look into the sky, “Tch, are we back to arguing about who's more stubborn?” Honestly they seemed to be arguing more then anything. It wasn't in Fang's character to back down. Ever. But the more she was around Angeal the more she realized that for quite possibly the first time ever she didn't have to keep her defenses up so high with someone other then Vanille. Scared her, but she was willing to give it a shot if he wouldn't keep arguing all the time. Yet something in the way he repeated what she had originally told him made her smirk right back at him. If he wanted to believe that let him. He was right, but that wasn't the point now was it. And so she decided to try something new and actually agree with him. He'd probably argue with her about that as well though. They were both just to damn stubborn.
“Ok, yeah, I'll admit your right. Your probably not someone I should get mixed up with. Hell I have my own problems, my own focus that might end up killing me. So what? That isn't really what we're talking about here is it?” Putting her hands on her hips, she looked at him with steady green eyes that under no circumstances gave an inch. He should be logging this down because he might never see her actually agree with him or his notions again. She glanced at him, “Who said anything about being around when you face Sephiroth? I probably won't even be human when you go do that. I'll be cheering for you from a crystal, or be a cie'th.” She shrugged, her view on the matter was that they all just had so long to live anyway. Besides, no one told her what to do. Not even the fal'cie.
He frowned way to much. Time to try reasoning, not that she did that tactic all that often either. “What are we even arguing about? We say the same thing, it just sounds different to us. You say you don't want me to get involved, I say the same thing. When does it end? When we're both buried?” Fang glanced at her own brand. Scorched...it meant she still had time, but when would the clock start ticking for her again? Suddenly she turned to Angeal, her face set. “Do you know how much time you have left on your focus?” Of course, the exact time couldn't be pinpointed, but you could get a general idea about how much time you actually had left. It was a good thing to know, especially to say your goodbyes if your brand got too far along. Words: 602 Muse: good Notes: none

She was right, he was just arguing for what seemed to be argument's sake, they were going around in circles. Her points were precise and he knew there was no way around them. He could not be there for her focus just as she could not his, and truth be told he did not want her to see the fight that would go down between he and Sephiroth, as the outcome would probably not favor Angeal. And God forbid she should jump in, then Sephiroth would have no remorse whatsoever. This was the same guy who burned a village and it's people because he had a temper tantrum. Her eyes gleamed and he saw how serious she was, a source of green flame unwavering in her face, unfortunately this meant he could not win the argument they were having, he could tell this was how it would be though.
Angeal knelt down feeling the pressure being relieved on his side made a sigh of relief spring from his mouth. Nobody knew what Angeal's deal was, he was fine with putting himself in mortal danger, but not those he loved. Wait? Love? Nah ignore that part of this post. He sat there for a second feeling the ground around him. This place reminded him so much of his home world, minus the nocturnal monsters that attacked at night, he was sure there were some that attacked at this time, just the fact that Cerberus was guarding them made it a little hard to slip by and mount one.
''Ya know I don't think I've ever met anyone quite like you, you're a live one'', he said sitting there one eye open and the other closed due to a slight sting in his side. Then she asked him how much time he had to complete his focus, and with his specific focus it was the same as asking him when he was going to die, he did not really have an answer. ''The group of fal'cie told me I had....336 full moons to complete my task'', he said lying back and looking to see if the moon was currently full.

~HighWind Nightmare~ ”“If you don't have the nerve for it, I'll do it myself! Go on alone, get stronger, and smash Cocoon out of the sky!”” Fang waited as he seemed to be mulling over what she had said, just the same as she was mulling over what he had said. Could she really go up against the fal'cie, fight them and come off victorious? She had to do something, and it was either that or nothing, since she had no idea what her focus was. If only she could remember! What she didn't know was that Vanille had lied when she said her memory was gone as well. She wouldn't figure out until she went up against the first fal'cie she did, when he would reveal to her in a blaze of glory exactly what her mission was. Then she would know...she was to become Ragnarok and destroy Cocoon, that was her focus, and no one would stop her from completing it. She knew it would be no easy road, but she had to keep going, keep being stubborn, determined to complete what she didn't know she had to do. Fang couldn't go it alone, even if she was to stubborn to admit it, she would need Vanille, Light and the rest to keep going, though at times she would feel alone and betrayed, in the end she would gain a new family.
He knelt and she went to go feed more sticks onto the flame. There wasn't enough for all night, but then again the fire would go out after they went to sleep anyway. What would they do in the morning? If things went alright and Angeal wasn't out of his mind with infection she would like to go to Oerba. The place it had all begun for her, and unknown to her, the place it would all end. The start and the finish, it was her home village, the place she had grown up at, somehow she knew they would find it in ruins. There appeared to be no one on Gran Pulse that still remained alive. They hadn't seen anyone...and she had this feeling. She stood there and closed her eyes, resting her body in case she needed the energy for battle. She rarely was drained, but a little extra wouldn't hurt.
Then his voice brought her out of her resting and she turned her head to look at him. No one quite like her? “A live one. I'm going to take that as a compliment even if it wasn't meant to be.” Fang had to smile at that because she hadn't met anyone quite like him either. Actually, she had never met anyone she would submit to in the least. Most couldn't compare to her strength, which put a damper on the whole respecting people thing. She turned and went to sit down near him as he told her how long he had. That long? And he had been told how long he had?
“Angeal your lucky ya know that? I've never known a l'cie that got told the time they had to complete the focus, and I've known a lot of l'cie.” He had a long time actually, longer then Vanille and her had had the first time. She remembered that part, just not what the actual focus was. That part was completely gone. “Its usually a guessing game.” She liked the stars, as she had said earlier, so she leaned back and watched them flicker and twinkle. “So your really going to go up against your old friend?”

Angeal was focused on what she was saying about him being lucky and all. Honestly he did feel like he was lucky in a sense that nobody had probably ever gotten this close to Fang besides this Vanille girl, but Angeal had broken the wall of protection around her. Then she asked about Sephiroth and that destroyed his calm collected mindset, how WOULD he beat Sephiroth, Angeal surely was not strong enough to take him alone. ''Yeah it's so ... I guess ironic, I always thought that if there was one person I would never have to fight and kill, it would be a fellow SOLDIER'', he said his mood falling from triumphant to dismal. Same guy he vowed to stand beside because of honor, now he was fated to either kill him or die by his blade.
Fang did not know how destructive and deadly Sephiroth was, what Ultimecia did to Angeal, Sephiroth could do for recreation. He was a different breed, who knows, maybe Angeal could take him alone, maybe he would die a horrible death this time around...again. Regardless, there would only one of the two monsters living at best when they were finished. ''But honestly, I probably will die before I get the chance to complete my focus'', he said looking as a frowned pushed it's way on to his face once again. He would swear he was bipolar if he didn't know otherwise. He was not scared by any stretch of the word, he just knew Sephiroth's skills when they were in SOLDIER, and they had quite possibly grown since then, however Angeal was sure his had grown as well.
Cerberus had been listening this whole time Angeal was sure, meaning he knew what their task together was. Even though the dog was huge powerful and menacing, Angeal knew he would be only of small help to him against Sephiroth. Then again, Sephiroth might had a fear of dogs, at least Angeal could hope for this in the least....

Green eyes that matched the vibrant color around them now stared at the sky. She was staring, but not seeing, mind a long ways away from the stars now as he talked. She was sure he was facing his own fears and challenges that came with being a l'cie. It wasn't just obtaining amazing power and having your own personal beast to fight by your side. It was hard, the focus, the worry, the strain. Why had they become l'cie? They hadn't been branded because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They had been branded because of her stupid grudge against Anima. She had gone to become a l'cie, but she had never wanted to drag Vanille into the mess. But like so many other memories she needed...that one was lost, an empty page.
A fellow SOLDIER. Fang wondered how it would be, to go up against the people you had always trusted, had always been around, fought with, laughed with, bleed with. Could she ever fight Vanille? She wondered about that, but honestly, when it came right down to it, she didn't think she could. She felt the chill of the night air then, but it still wasn't bothering her. The fire was burning down behind them, crackling and popping, but the dark had surrounded them. She clasped her hands together over her stomach. She rested her eyes again and listened to what was going on around her. Steady breathing, the fire, distant river rippling, yet she didn't go to sleep.
It was no use thinking about the future, but it was also hard to get your mind off it, especially when everything could be on the line, as it was right now. More doom and despair about the future. “Honestly? What happened to you have something to live for?” Fang opened her eyes then and turned her head to look at him out of the corner of her eyes. Though she couldn't see his actual expression, she was sure it would have some sort of scowl on it. All she could make out was his form and a few features, the dark hid all his facial features. Another deep breathe, “So how come you're so gloomy about this? Is this Sephiroth that powerful?” She would love to know what her focus was...ironically she was staring right at it. Cocoon...the lighted up planet was able to be seen from Gran Pulse below, and she was looking at it from her resting place, her focus...to destroy Cocoon...
