Break time!
Josh was excited to finally take a break from searching for Repa. It'd been a few weeks since he left Cocoon for his search, and so far, on those few weeks, he had no luck. Failed once again. Oh well he'd have pleanty of time to search...in a few days or a week or so, after seeing Ebony. So back to Cocoon Josh went. He figured, he'd start at the inn, see if Emilia knew where Ebony was, or if she was at the Inn right then. So Josh walked into the Inn and smiled at Emilia and waved. "Hey Emilia! Good to see you again....Say...you don't happen to have a room available for a few days do you?"
Emilia smiled and nodded with a nice response. "Oh yes, Its good to see you too Josh. And yes, theres a room available." With that she handed him the key and he went to check out his room, drop off his stuff and what not before his search for Ebony would now commence. Shockingly it was the same exact room Josh had a few weeks ago, that was nice. He looked at Ebony's door and sighed. No notes on her door, she must not be in. He dropped off his stuff and walked back down to the lobby area. "Emilia? Another question....Do you happen to know where Ebony is?"

Emilia thought for a moment, before answering.
"Actually, I think she's still sleeping. She just got back from an escort yesterday, and then she was up all night working on research. The girl has to be exhausted."
Ebony, was in fact sleeping the day away. The last escort was pretty tough, with the royal being one of the most perkiest people on the whole planet. And then, she had to come and finish a research report. Her desk was still covered with all her books and papers, some of which had fallen to the floor. Ebony was just barely able to stay awake to put her pajamas on before literally faling onto her bed and falling asleep.
Emilia grabbed a stray bar glass and started to clean it.
"She should be awake soon or even now. She usually gets up early even with all-nighters."
(Hope that's ok)

Josh listened to Emilia before nodding some. So Ebony was here, well that made travel time a little shorter for him, but was he really going to go up and possibly wake her up? What if she was sleeping? That would be rude...But then again, Emilia did say she was probably up by now, so why not give it a try? A few light taps against her door wouldn't hurt anything. "Thanks Emilia!" Josh said racing up the stairs once again, skipping a few as he was anxious, he got to Ebony's door and took in a deep breath. "Calm down Josh...Control your emotions." And with a deep breath Josh lighty tapped against Ebony's door, so if she was awake...she would hear it, if she was asleep, well it wasn't loud enough to wake her up.
Josh felt so...jittery and anxious he was starting to get impacient...What was he gonna say to Ebony? What was he gonna do? Would he take her out, and they catch up then? Or something? Josh wanted to, but that was only if Ebony was up for it. So he waited for a few moments, if nothing came to the door, then Josh would wait in his room for awhile before trying again.

Ebony was actually still sleeping, but being a light sleeper didn't help much. She had actually woken up to the light knocks, and immediately thought it was Emilia. And she couldn't turn her away because it could be something. She slowly got up, and went in the direction of the door. Her hair was slightly messy but still in it's usual appearance. She opened the door, not even noticing Josh, since she was half asleep.
"What is it, Emilia. It's too early for this."
It took Ebony awhile to finally gain some composure, and realize it was Josh at her door. All evidence of being tired swept away from her face as a large grin appeared on her face.
"Josh! You're back!"
Ebony had the biggest urge to throw her arms around him, but she held back seeing as how she wasn't in the best of clothes.

Josh just looked at Ebony as she started speaking to Emilia. He chuckled a bit, she was exhausted and he could tell, seeing as she didn't realize this was Josh for awhile. Finally when she realized it was him Josh's smile grew wider. "Well hello there sleeping beauty....Sorry if I woke you up or something." Josh shrugged his shoulders some before gripping her into a tight hug, seemed he beat her too it, no matter what she was wearing. "Yeah im back...for a week or so...im not sure how long...but no less than a week." Once he let her go his smile faded down some. "How would you like to go out later? Once you're less....Tired and what not...Give us time to catch up some?" Josh suggested in a light tone. "My treat?"

Ebony hugged him back, a smile still evident on her face. It had been a while since she had seen him, and it was nice to see his face again. Even if he was only staying for a week.
"Going out sounds nice. After what I just went through in terms of employment, I need some relaxation. Just let me uh...change."
Ebony reentered her room, and quickly got to work. She tidied up her desk...somwhat, and changed out of her pj's into her usual baggy garb of clothes. She grabbed her bag, and left the room.

Josh smiled as he waited outside her room, leaning against a wall thinking lightly about what he was going to do while he was here...probably try to hang out with Ebony as much as he could, of course he also had to rest up some for his next trip to whatever world came next. With a sigh he closed his eyes for a split second before Ebony came back out and they left.
Josh had his hands in his pockets as he kept a grin on his face. He didn't really know where they were going to go, just a spur of the moment choice. Of course, Josh had no idea what they were about to run into. "So any place specific you wanna go? I didn't really plan ahead..." He said scratching the back of his head before he stopped cold in his tracks. His eyes spotted a sleek, shiney black bike that looked all too familiar, not as familiar as the driver...

Oh wasn't life just splendid when you had nothing to fear? Nothing to lose? Geoff was certainly becoming fond of this world traveling thing. Stirring up some chaos wherever he went, oh but he wasn't just looking for a good time, innocent people to hurt, oh no, he was looking for revenge, with a little chaos on the side. Geoff sat in the middle of an empty street, just plotting what he would do once he saw one of those Raines kids...well not so much kids as they were adults now, not that they would settle things like mature adults...at least Geoff wouldn't.
Luck seemed to be on Geoff's side today, not Josh's but that was okay. Things would turn out...not so great for either one none the less. Geoff sat on his bike, one foot on the ground to keep him balanced as one on the gears of his handlebars, ready to take off when needed, but when his crimson eyes caught sight of a pretty girl, and a very familiar face, his day was made. No more searching, let the little rat come to him now. An evil grin spread across his face as he let the engine of his bike die down as he shut it off and got off. His black attire making him definately look like the typical baddie around here. He folded his arms as his trench coat swayed in the light breeze. "Hey there Buddy...did you miss me?" Geoff lightly talked before looking at Ebony. "Awww lookie here, Sergent Raines got himself a girlfriend...? Im surprised you arent hovering over you sister right now back home..."
Geoff grinned before stepping closer to the two and looking at Ebony holding out his gloved hand and he slightly bowed a little. "Pleased to meet your aquaintence Miss...Im surprised to see Mr. Raines here found such a lovely young lass such as yourself..." He grinned very nicely, no signs of danger yet. "Im Commander Geoff Cross...at your service....an old mentor of Josh's here..."

Ebony stopped when Josh did. She looked at him quizically before following his gaze to a man that was heading in their direction, all dressed in black. And he didn't look trustworthy. At all. She crossed her arms, and her face basically went into the sort of emotion that Josh would usually see when he first met Ebony.
Ebony listened intently as this Geoff guy went on about Josh and her being a "beautiful lass." Oh joy.
"...Nice to meet you."

Josh was not happy. Not happy at all. That attitude that appeared before Ebony went to face on the elders...well its back. Josh's face showed only anger as his fists tightened like he was going to throw a punch or something. When Geoff started mentioning his sister well Josh was done listening. "Hey! You have got alot of nerve talking about her- Don't bring her up again BUDDY." Josh said coldly before even more anger boiled in his blood. Geoff was talking to Ebony. GEOFF- a bad guy who used to be his best friend- Was talking to EBONY. Josh about threw a fit. He stepped infront of Ebony being all protective and solider-like as he was right in Geoff's face. "You don't have the right to speak to her. You hear me!?" Josh growled, woah, his anger has been intense before, but nothing like this. "You speak to her again, and I swear it'll be the last thing you ever say." Josh growled again.

Ebony looked on as Josh became furious at Geoff. He usually wasn't like this, and she could easily tell something was not right with Geoff. With the way he spoke of Josh's sister and then Josh becoming infuriated...something was definitely not right, and she was sure it wasn't about just a simple little feud. She sighed. Josh would not like this.
"Geoff, correct? May I ask what may have broughton Josh's infuriated side s easily?"

Josh's reaction was great. Priceless. Everything Geoff thought it would be, but with Ebony being there, Josh's protective side kicked in obviously as Geoff stared at Josh who was now somewhat blocking Ebony from his view. Josh's fuming words just added to Geoff's amusement, but when Ebony spoke up, Geoff raised an eyebrow now looking at her before folding his arms across his chest. "Josh just has a lousy way of controlling his temper i suppose." Geoff shrugged a bit looking back at Josh for a moment before looking back at Ebony. "He's probably just a bit sore from our last encounter...wasn't very lovely but then again....thats what happens when you get blinded in one eye." Geoff said harshly as his eyes or visable eye looking back at Josh. If looks could kill...
Geoff moved his bangs out of the way from blocking his eyepatch. "Joshy here left me a gift from our last meeting...both he and his sister." He said letting his bangs drop waiting just for Josh to explode or something.

Josh was about ready to beat the crap out of Geoff right about now. Not even saying anything Geoff pissed him off, but when Ebony spoke up, Josh's head snapped to look at her with wide eyes. "What are you-?" He was going to finish his statement before Geoff started speaking again. Josh had a lousy way of controlling his temper eh? Josh just forced out an unnecessary smile that seemed rather cold and still angry looking but this was just to try and keep his emotions down and under control. "Be careful or i might send you off with another gift" Josh growled still with a forced smile before glancing at Ebony. "Well Geoff...as FUN as this reunion has been...We've got plans..." He said wrapping his arm around Ebony and almost pulling her to go so they could get away from Geoff.

EBony was slightly shocked at the sight of the eyepatch that covered Geoff's left eye, but she made sure that her shock was not evident on ehr face. She glanced over at Josh who looked like he was about ready to attack this guy at any moment, but she was immediately brought back to reality as Josh started to pull her away.
"Is there something you're not telling me?" she whispered.

Geoff knew all this would get Ebony's curiosity roused up. He noticed her whisper something to Josh as he pulled her away, and obvious question about the situation, so Geoff, being nice, Ran up to answer her question. "Oh. I don't think Josh here wants to tell such a dreadful story of poor pitiful me...but...If you are interested i'd be more than happy to share the details Josh would more than likely leave out for your sake." Geoff said blocking their way.
"See...a year or so Ago, Josh and I here used to be the best of friends...Till that fateful evening at the Army's typical yearly ball, I met a pretty young lady. Princess Raines, and Josh here...with his sick twisted hold against his baby sister, didn't like that too much. So naturally his temper got the best of him and he and his sister blinded my left eye..." Geoff shrugged making the story seem so terrible for him, almost made you wanna feel bad for him and label Josh the monster. "They had me banished over a little crush...and here I am...a monstrosity...trying to make a living...half blind...and alone. Now what kind of friend does that?" Geoff said glancing around for Ebony's reaction and obviously Josh's
