Josh looked over and saw Ebony. She didn't look to...cheery as she read a notice for something. Maybe it was bad news or something. Josh figured he would avoid speaking to her now seeing as she just didn't look too happy and he didn't want to catch her at a bad time and worsen his chances. But a simple hello wouldn't hurt would it? Josh looked over before talking a bit. "Morning" He said before taking off out of the building to try and find something to do, of course he was going to talk to her later, but he needed some time to think of something to say rather than just be lame about it.
Josh needed some place to think, and being stuck in a room all day wasn't classified as fun to him. So walking around the streets would be okay? Maybe see the beach, he knew there was one nearby, that might be a good place to start.

Ebony glanced and nodded back at Josh has he passed and spoke his greeting. She watched as he walked down the hallway, before looking at the notice. They wanted her to come in two days. Plenty of time to train, and practice her magic to get ready for the long trek to the described area. She headed out as well, but went in the opposite direction of the beach. When she first started her Escort job, she had found a deserted mansion with a large courtyard. No one visited it through the year, so it was a perfect area for Ebony to practice the Black Arts. That way she could keep control over the large source of magic that was stored within her. She approached the mansion, and grinned to herself as she started to speak the incantations under her breath.

Josh sat on the sand on the beach of Bodum. It was nice, he liked how peaceful this end of town was. Not a PSICOM soldier in sight. It was the perfect place to think and relax. Josh was thinking, how could he get Ebony to...well go out with him? Not like on a date...yet, but even just as friends. He wanted to repay her for her kindness. So what if this meant he would be here longer than he thought. Repa was most likely alive and well anyhow. Josh was starting to feel the heat of the beach and decided it was time to wander around out of the scorching heat of the beach.
Josh wandered through the city as he had the day before. Nothing seemed to have changed, although the soldiers no longer questioned him or threatened him, they simply looked him and looked away, something about "foreign scum" but it never bothered him enough to fight them. He just mentally pictured it and went on walking. Josh discovered himself at a place he hadn't seen yesterday, it was really actually very quiet and cool looking. It was a large mansion with a large courtyard...sound familiar? His eyes scanned the lot as he shrugged and was about to leave, till something...no someone caught his eye.

Ebony stood in the middle of the courtyard, her eyes closed and concentrating. Quickly, little black pentagrams appeared around her and she opened her eyes, smirking.
"Black Shot."
Black bullet-like things zoomed out of the pentagrams, flying through the air, and hitting trees, rocks, and anything else in sight. Finally, all the black bullets had hit at least one simple mark, and the pentagrams disappeared. She let out a breath, and wiped at the sweat on her forehead. She had gone through almost every single one of her Black Spells, and she figured it was time to go back to the inn and rest up. That is, until she turned around and saw Josh staring at her.

Josh just stood there and stared as he watched her do the Black arts. 1. It was wicked cool, and 2. she must be really good at it. Now this made his magic look like baby stuff. Josh was going to leave before she ever noticed him but she turned to quickly for him to tell if she was done or not. Josh was now caught on the spot. His mind raced as he panicked. With a swift turn he whistled and power walked out of sight before breaking into a run to get away from the area before she got him and possibly murdered him. Way to go Josh...way to go.

Ebony watched as Josh ran off. Oh, he wasn't getting away with what he just saw. She turned back around, and summoned another pentagram, this one being much bigger, big enough for her to fit through.
"Black Void!"
Ebony ran through the pentagram, and appeared right in front of Josh.
"What all did you see!?"

Josh saw Ebony appear and he skidded across the grass below his feet, which was wet from morning dew and he slipped and fell on his back. He looked up at Ebony who was less than happy. Josh shrugged with a nervous smile and a laugh to go along. "I just saw you poof infront of me?" He chuckled nervously before shutting up and knowing this probably wasn't the time. "Um. I was wandering and I...just saw you wipe your forehead and turn around. Thats all." He figured he better cut out the part of him seeing her do Black arts. "I didn't mean to end up here..."

Ebony turned around, and clenched her hands into fists, trying to at least control some of her anger. Not only was he trying to be smart, but he had probably also seen her use the Black Arts, even if he said he didn't. With the way he was staring at her, well she could easily tell he saw the spell as well. And, she had just used it again to stop him from getting too far. Great.
Ebony could feel the magic swell up inside her because of her anger. She quickly pointed her hand at a tree, and it immediatly burst up in black flames. She turned back around, and glared at Josh.
"If you tell ANYONE, what you just saw, I will find you and throw you off the biggest cliff I can find."
Ebony turned back around, and then proceeded to practically stomp her way back the inn.

Josh sighed a sigh of relief as she started to storm off. He got his nerve back and got to his feet and ran to catch up to Ebony. "Throw me off the highest cliff? That doesn't sound very creative." He shrugged some shoving his hands in his pockets. "If you want to kill ME. You're going to have to be a little more creative and thoughtful about it." Josh grinned some, not too much, he didn't want to push her buttons anymore than he already did. "And I wont tell anyone....I swear on my brother's grave." He said holding his hand up.

"Would you rather I burn you , like I did that tree? And you better not. If anyone finds out I can do magic such as that, then all my hard work will have been for nothing, and I'll be right back where I started. On the streets running."
Ebony hated mentioning anything that involved her past. She had had enough with it all back then, and she didn't need rememberance of it now. Especially, since she had a steady income. You didn't have that on the streets. You only had the clothes on your backs, and any pickpocketing skills you aquired in that time.

Josh blinked a few times. Perhaps he would rather fall off a cliff for thousands of feet. "Um...ill take the being thrown off a cliff." He mumbled before listening to her. Living off the streets? What...did she mean by that? was she like that before? Josh would never know that feeling. He had a place to stay and anything his heart desired...so he had to ask. "What do you mean...off the streets? Did you use to live...on the streets?" He asked quietly no more joking around with him. He was dead serious now.

Ebony slowed down her quick pace, until it was just a simple stroll. She thought she should probably tell him, since he would most likely find out anyway. She sighed and simply told him the shortened version.
"I was abandoned when I was young, and lived off the streets until I was 15. I entered the nearby Magic Academy, but after about a year of that, I was expelled for something I didn't even do. I just got the room at the inn about a year ago as well. My research and escort jobs are the things that keep me from running dry on money."

As said before Josh couldn't relate to that. He grew up rich and well taken care of. "Oh...Im...sorry to hear that." He mumbled looking down as their pace had slowed some. This wasn't working the way he planned really. But at least she didn't hit him or say anything about throwing him off a cliff again. Josh simply let his shoulders shrug up and down a bit. "If its money you're worried about..." He started thinking of all the cash he had, he had so much money that he didn't even know what to do with it at times. "I could...give you a loan...maybe you need to get away from Cocoon....travel some." He suggested. "Make a better life for yourself then some boring routine..."

Ebony glanced at Josh, and then noticing the inn off in the distance, quickened her pace once more.
"I'd rather work for the money than just simply obtaining it out of pity. Besides, the research job allows me to read any book I wish, and I travel enough with all the snobby Princes and Princesses I escort."

Josh nodded some. "I understand. Of course you wouldn't have to think of it as pity cash...because well, I wouldn't take pity on you, believe me. Think of it as a gift." He said before shrugging. "You escort Royalty?" He asked a little bewildered. He was indeed Royalty, but why blow that into the conversation? Josh would rather not. "Maybe you at least need a vacation of some sort. I know the perfect place that would...be amazing." He grinned.
