Ebony moved back around so that she was sitting regularly on the chair once again. She put one foot on the edge of the chair, and just listened to Josh talk about getting out of intensive care. No retorts, no comebacks, nothing.
The only thing on her mind at the moment was leaving. She knew she could never really shake Josh off, seeing as how he had his own little portable portal. And she didn't really like the idea of trying something that she had never really done with the Black Arts. They were dangerous enough by themselves. No need for complications. She could always just ignore him for the rest of his stay, but then he might ask questions. And she had already done enough heroics that he was going to try and pay her back somehow. Sometimes she wandered why she even tried.

The silence was starting to kill Josh, not literally, but still. He slumped a bit into the pillow behind his head as he stayed quiet as well. Akward silence. What could she be thinking about? Leaving? Throwing him off a cliff? Magic? Josh would kill to be a mind reader by now. It would make his life a whole lot easier when it came to these things. He folded his arms across his lap as he looked around the very blank white room. "So...." He said with an akward like tone, trying to break the silence was hard, especially when there was nothing really to talk about. At least at times like these...
"I...Uh....Hope you aren't upset with me. I mean...you did cancel and escort to bring me here. Which I am very greatful for." Josh mumbled some, keeping his voice light, quiet, and calm as he spoke. No emotion, no change in pitch at all. Just a bland monotone would work for now. Doing all he could to keep himself from getting worked up and striking a high fever again, he had to stay....collected.

Ebony looked down at him. He was trying to keep himself calm and was also trying not to set her off. Ebony mentally sighed as she looked forward. The guy had been through a lot in the past couple days. Trying to look for his sister, and ending up on the wrong world. Ends up with her as a friend. And now, he almost got killed by a bird and a virus. But, they guy was royalty. He would be fine in a couple days and be right back on his feet, most likely annoying her once again.
"I have been contemplating on using you as my next punching bag when your healed. Just to let you know."

Josh just rolled his eyes as she spoke of using him as a punching bag. Well....he'd be ready for that when the time came. Just as he was about to say something the high pitched sqeaky voice was heard once again from the annoyance to Josh- that nurse who was goo goo gaga all over him. "Joshy!" She ran in smiling and very very well dressed, makeup all done nice and what not. Trying to impress the Prince. What a fail. "Joshy! I was wondering, if maybe after you were out of here and all well again..." She moved infront of Ebony and sat on the side of Josh's medical bed as she more or less ran her fingers through his hair. Oh boy if looks could kill, this girl must've been so oblivious to Josh's expression. It more more of a 'save me, kill me, do something!' kind of look. "...We could go out....you know? Have some fun." She giggled.
Leaving Josh on the spot he didn't know what to respond, and still be nice. "Uh...I um...."

Ebony scowled deeply when the nurse from before walked in, all made up looking like she was ready for a date. Ugh. Ebony just ignored her when she came in, butting in when Josh would mostly likely need her...again. But, then the nurse went right past her to Josh, as if she was just air, invisible to the naked eye. Oh, that set Ebony off. She didn't care about what she was about to do. She hated the nurse just about as much as Josh did now. She would help him, willingly this time, not asking for anything in return...well, maybe one thing.
Ebony stood up, and tapped the nurse on her shoulder, clearing her throat ready for the mental turmoil she was about to face with her actions she was about ready to commit. The nurse ignored her. Ebony went into over-drive. She grapped the girl's back collar and pulled, yes pulled her back quickly causing the nurse to yelp out with surprise. Ebony quickly grabbed her chair, put it right next to Josh's bed, sat down, put one of her gloved hands over his, and glared at the girl.
"That's my boyfriend you're groping."
(I'm sorry Ebony, I had to do it XD)

Josh felt akward as he sat there silently as the girl was starting to get on his last nerve. Then came another shocking moment from Ebony. She yanked the girl back and touched his hand, saying he was her boyfriend? Wow. Did he ever owe her BIG TIME. Josh just stared at Ebony a little bewildered, before slowly shifting his gaze to a now very broken girl who stared at Josh and Ebony, like she was about to cry or something. "Darn it!" She yelled in her sqeaky voice, which made Josh jump a bit as she stamped her foot into the tiles below her feet. "I knew I should've made my move before he joined the army." She whimpered before a rush of tears went to her eyes and she cried, running out of the room leaving Josh's eyes twitching a bit as he couldn't understand what just happened.
Josh looked at Ebony. Still wondering why she did that. Wouldn't seeing Josh tortured by that girl be more fun then using him as a punching bag? Josh thought so. He wondered what must've come over to her react so...Josh couldn't even find the words. "I owe you for that...and alot of other things."

Ebony watched with satisfaction as the girl broke down and ran. Well, she wouldn't be bothering them again. She sat there for a few seconds just going over what happened in her head until she realized she still had her hand over Josh's. She immediatly pulled back, putting her hands in her lap. She had actually felt...comfortable. She quickly shook the thought out of her head and turned her head to glare at Josh.
"You DO owe me...big time. Don't count on me helping you so much later on in the future. And I only did that because I was getting tired of seeing that girl's face. It was getting annoying the way you just sat there, too."

Josh let his eyes wander in the opposite direction of Ebony. If he wasn't in such a...bad condition he probably would've cracked a joke or something, but also this did make Josh a little speechless. Which made it all even worse, akward silence killed. So Josh smiled some and looked at Ebony again. "I wish I would've had a camera. Did you see her face before she burst into tears? Oh. Priceless!" He chuckled a bit folding his arms and sulking back into his pillow.
Once these next few days were over Josh would be back on his own, helping himself with everything. That would be just fine by him, he always took care of himself, he just happened to stumble over a few rough spots here and there, like the virus, that wasn't an expected event really. Who could predict things like that? Certainly not Josh. One thing that did come to mind was whether he would go back to Cocoon, travel to Gaia, or just stay here. He wasn't really sure.
(i kinda wanna speed this up, hope its okay)
---------2 days later-----------
Josh stretched his back as he walked out of his legit room of the Delatorr palace. He was out of Intensive care and back on his feet, healthy once again, clear of any virus or sickness unlike 2-3 days ago when he was practically dying. But now he was all good and ready to travel. He had thought about what he was going to do, and that was to briefly be around Cocoon a little longer, then head off for Gaia. Of course he wasn't going to Cocoon JUST for Ebony...but...okay well maybe he was. "Oh it feels so good to be out of that bed! And able to move again!" He said to himself with another stretch.

Ebony had decided to stay at Delatorr while Josh was stil slightly bed-ridden. The Palace workers were nice enough to prepare a simple one person room for her, and she stayed with Josh for a bit until she discovered the Palace library. From there, she had pretty much been in there her etire stay, reading away on all kinds of knowledge that still hadn't been discovered by herself. She mostly read magic books, some of them even mentioning the Black Arts. She scoffed when any of them mentioned how dangerous they were, seeing as how she was perfectly fine after using them for so long. And once again, the Palace workers were kind enough to allow her to borrow some of them and she was happy to take up the offer. Ebony strode up next to Josh and slapped him on the back, telling him in her own little way that she was there. "That's great and all, but it would be nice if you could take me home now. Who knows how much has been backed up because of my little 'vacation'." (Back in Cocoon-At the Same Time) On a large plot of land, sat a magnificent Victorian Gothic mansion. A couple smaller buildings that looked similar to the main building sat around it. Lestava Magic Academy. A serene school that taught the young and willing the arts of all types of magic. There has only been one occurrence when a student had to be expelled because of use of the Black Arts. [glow=white,2,300]"It would seem that occurences of the Black Arts are growing larger with each passing day."[/glow] [shadow=black,left,300]"She must be exterminated! We cannot allow such impudence on magic to keep going on!"[/shadow] "Sadly, I have to agree. She could always turn dark and hurt the lives of innocence. We cannot allow for that to happen.""Indeed. We shall call upon her to ask for forgiveness. And then...we strike."

Josh looked at Ebony rolling his eyes some before shaking his head. "It's only been about 2 and a half days. Im sure you'll be fine." He said with a light chuckle swinging a duffle back across his shoulder. If he was going to stay in Cocoon for awhile, he'd need some stuff with him, like extra clothes and what not. He nodded at Ebony before taking out his phone. "I've already said my goodbyes...so I guess I can take you back. Plus, im staying in Cocoon for awhile. Might as well search the place while I'm there. Knocks one world off my list." He shrugged activating the device and teleporting them to Cocoon.
Cocoon.....A long way from home, but a very short teleport away. It would be easy to pop back and fourth if need be for anything. All Josh needed to do was get back on his initial goal with Ebony, become friends somewhat, maybe more than that, but see how it goes, then depart for Gaia, or some other world to search.

Ebony walked back to the inn and up to her room. If she had missed anything it would most likely be posted at her door. Surprisingly there wasn't that much. Ebony though her door would be covered in all kinds of posts and notices. Nope. It was just a few recommendations for research from her superior back at the facility, and a letter. Ebony turned the letter around, and then she just stood there for a couple seconds in shock. She quikcly ripped it open and read the contents, once, twice, three times.
"...What the-? Forgiveness! They expell me for something I didn't do, wait two years, and then ask for forgiveness. Those freeloaders!"

Josh was about to unlock his own door at the Inn and settle back in and what not before exploring the city again and NOT being attacked to death, until he heard Ebony's little outburst. He walked over, curious to see if she was okay or if she was going to explode or something. "Are you alright?" He asked quietly as he stood a few feet from her. Something was obviously not good, she wasn't happy from the look on her face and what she had said. If she didn't want him to know, he would walk away if Ebony wanted him too, he was just curious. As always. "You don't sound too happy." Stating the obvious.

Ebony read it once more, her scowl growing deeper as she read each word over again. She quickly memorized where they wanted to meet her, so that she could go and give them a piece of her mind, knowing there was no way they could punish her now. It would be in one of the smaller buildings, that was located closer to the Academy's borders. Ebony remembered the location vividly, no matter how many times she pushed back the memories from her mind.
She quickly ripped up the letter and set them ablaze with her black flames. She wrenched her room door opened, and stormed in, closing the door, muttering an "I'm fine" to Josh.
She fell down on the bed, her arms covering her eyes. Should she go and chew them out violently, or stay back and act like a cowardly puppy? She quickly chose the former. She would never turn down a fight, and at the moment this "act of forgiveness" was starting to seem more like a trap. If they were going to ask for forgiveness, why not ask her at least 6 months after she left? She had been convicted of setting one of the Smither workshops on fire. The Academy needed it to allow the students to make their amulets, and trinkets needed to perform other means of magic. Ebony, of course, had been working in there at the moment of the fire. She had even helped get some people out of there safely, but it had given the Board reason enough to expell her, and seeing as how no one else came forward to say they set the workshop on fire, the call to have Ebony expelled was forwarded.
Ebony sat up on her bed and looked out her window. If they were planning on war, then she would be prepared no matter what.

Well Josh certainly felt hostility in that response. He just kinda stood there for a minute deciding what to do. Go see what was wrong? and possibly die of she made him explode or something with magic or walk away and stay in once piece. Knowing Josh he would go for the dangerous choice. But he wasn't just gonna barge into her room and demand a response that was legit. THAT would get him killed on the spot surely. So he simply knocked on her door. "Ebony? Are you sure you're okay....you didn't look okay..." He said calmy sounding concerned a bit. He waited for a response but sighed and opened the door. "Ebony...? Whats wrong?"

Ebony quickly set to work, putting her bag upside down, to allow the research books that were needed earlier to fall onto her bed. Anything else fell out as well. Ebony quickly moved over to her desk, and opened the drawers, one after the other, picking up any amulet, pendant, or any other trinket that she may need. She quickly went over all of her more complex Black spells, making sure she remembered the motions or object needed for the conjuring.
Ebony moved over to the window ignoring Josh's knocks at her door. She didn't want to get him involved at the moment, having complete faith in herself that she could handle this alone. Besides, there was no way he knew the place of meeting seeing as how she burned any and all evidence of the letter in her slight temper tantrum earlier. She looked down out of her window, as she pushed it up. She could handle the two-story drop to the ground easily seeing as how she dealt with a lot of them when she was younger. She had just put her one leg through when Josh opened the door, surprising her. She lost her balance, and fell forward back onto her carpeted floor.
"Well, so much for the quick escape plan," she muttered to herself.
