...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Wandering around didn't seem to be getting her anywhere. She had opened more doors then she would like and walked down a ton of hallways. Still no sign of Reno. Short legs moved swiftly as she went from one room to the next, poking her head in and hoping that Reno would be standing there talking to the guy they had been sent after. Still nothing! She was getting frustrated, how many places could there be to go through? There had to be an end sometime. And yet there just seemed to be more and more places to look. Cissnei found herself more and more thinking of that horror movie she had seen while she was in the real world. All horror films seemed to be set in a place like this. An old warehouse with bad lighting that seemed to go on forever.
Once she thought she had heard her voice. Pausing, Cissnei turned and tried to locate where the sound had come from, but after a few moment she shrugged it off as her imagination. She hadn't heard anything else, to far away to hear it right. She was wandering further away from him as he was backtracking to find her, both just missing the other as they searched. But as she was getting deeper and deeper into the warehouse, he was back in the room where they had started in. Opening her jaw up, Cissnei rubbed it again and looked around her. Nothing. With a weary sigh, she started backtracking herself to where she found another split in the hallway she had been searching. With a shrug, she turned down this hallway, making a mental note of where she had to go to get back to the main room.
Luckily Cissnei was good at remembering, so with a great ease she remembered where she had to go to get back out. Otherwise she would have been in some serious trouble. Her thoughts turned to Reno. Was he keeping quiet and interrogating the man? She had no doubts he had gotten him, but why was he so quiet now? She didn't hear him calling her name the first few times. The sound of herself thinking was louder then anything that was going on around her, but with the distance they were away from each other, she hadn't been able to hear. She couldn't go on forever though. She would have to meet up with him eventually. Cissnei fought down the odd feeling she had in the pit of her stomach and continued walking.
Jaw throbbed, stomach hurt a bit from where she had been kicked so hard. But she was trying to ignore that and focus on what was going on right at the moment. First off, she had to find Reno! And soon. For some reason she had begun to get a bit desperate to find him. Something wasn't right...something...but she couldn't place just what it was that was so out of place in her mind. “Reno!!” She yelled out again, though she got no response to that one either. It was odd, and altogether way to quiet. The sad thing was that the moment she had chosen to yell his name out again he had yelled hers out, so she hadn't heard it and continued wandering, though she was now backtracking toward the main room. She should start over again, maybe the second time around she could find him.
That was when she heard her voice being yelled. She whipped around, “RENO!!!” She called back, but just like him, she had only heard it once and couldn't tell the location of his voice. But what she had heard made her mouth dry and heart accelerate once again. That hadn't been a 'Cissnei job done, common.' that had been a desperate yell. In a matter of seconds Cissnei was running down the hallway toward the front room, the way she had thought he had went. She failed to turn down the hallway she needed to to find him, rather thinking he might have run into some more goonies in the main room.
Running as fast as she could, Cissnei burst through the doors to the main room and skidded to a stop. “Reno?!” A quick glance around showed no Reno, but something else caught her eye. The man they been sent to get was died to a piece of pipe and struggling to get out. She jogged over to him and knelt down to eye level. The look in his eye was murderous as he glared back at her. “Were did he go! Which way?!” The stress in her voice showed through, Cissnei had always been the compassionate one, and Reno meant more to her then anyone in the world. She couldn't hide her fear that something horrible was happening to him. He just glared at her and didn't say anything, but his face was twisted up in a smirk. She was angry now, emotions were going off the wall and she felt fear, and disgust. In a split second, without even thinking, her gun was out, cocked and pressed against his head. “Tell me!”
The smirk was replaced with a fearful look, obviously he was a coward. “I don't know anything! He just ran out!” Cissnei stood there, staring down at him, her grip firm and not shaking in the least, but she felt that ugly side of her kick up. That side that made her the cold ruthless fighter she was when she was in 'Turk mode,' the side that ShinRa had honed from a young girl to someone who thought everyone was the enemy. Though that side of her didn't show often, it was showing now. But the fear in his eyes told her he was telling the truth. She remembered him struggling and knew they couldn't let him escape. With a quick flip of her wrist Cissnei caught the gun by the barrel in midair and in the same motion swept it down and hit him hard with the butt of the gun, knocking him unconscious.
What was going on?! Why would Reno run out? He should have just waited here, she would have come back. But that meant she must have passed him on the way back here. She felt the fear creeping up into her heart. Was she going to loose Reno too? Everyone...everyone she had ever gotten close to had been taken away. Wetting her lips, she looked down at the unconscious man before pivoting on her heel and walking away. She made it to the doorway leading to the web of hallways again and hesitated. Should she just wait here and he might come back? But no. That call hadn't just been a searching yell. Taking a deep breathe to try and calm herself, Cissnei stepped back into the hallway, determination written all over her features. She could do this. “Reno hold on.” she whispered and then closed her eyes, hoping he would be alright. He had to be alright...

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early This whole place was one giant maze! You went from room to room and continued to get lost! There wasn’t any clear cut answers or anything here, it made things so difficult and Reno just figured himself lost by now. Wandering aimlessly through the many storage rooms…hell even a worn down laboratory in this place…it was creepy too, the lights flickering every now and then…the occasional rat scurrying across the floor, it was definitely something out of a horror movie, and Reno was alone…hopelessly lost. With an angry huff Reno pressed his hands to the sides of his head and closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath to try and release some of the newfound anger he was building from all this…craziness of this stupid place.
Couldn’t they have stuck a map on a few walls? With a big red dot that said ‘YOU ARE HERE’? That would’ve made life so much easier! Or even a GPS system through this place! Reno then felt shivers run up his spine as he lowered his arms to his sides and just wondered exactly how many people had entered here…and not made it out? If any? Again, his mind was only flickering back to the horror movies he had seen, trying to be a tough guy and what not, but they never left him on good terms. Being a Turk and all you faced some of the most dangerous things alive…but adding the fears of horror movies to the mix, just made you jittery and unstable. Reno had to get a grip on himself and stop letting his imagination run wild, that would certainly get the best of him if he kept this up.
With all this stress building up, Reno tried to take deep breaths and calm down his mood. He wasn’t happy at the moment, in fact, he was both angry and worried. He wanted to know if Cissnei was alright, but he just couldn’t find her! Perhaps he should’ve stayed back towards the entrance and just waited. Then he might have just eventually ran into Cissnei coming back…what a day this was turning out to be. With a heavy sigh, Reno pivoted and turned around to start heading back…that is if he knew which halls to take and what not, this was just ridiculous. As Reno started to head back he felt like he was going the wrong direction, taking turns he shouldn’t have and ending up in a dead end storage room and just…sighing. That was when he discovered his new brand, and almost started freaking out, but mostly on the inside, on the outside, his eyes were just wide before this brand burned with power and he had fallen to a knee, calling out for Cissnei though it was probably useless.
As Reno sat there on his one knee, his non-branded arm holding his branded one as it stung with a fiery power. He remembered reading something about L’Cie when he was researching those creatures that he and Zack and ran into back on the streets. Something about summons…Eidolons as they were called. Was this going to lead to Reno’s new summon? Oh he hoped not! He didn’t want to fight anything right now! He was already down and depressed about this L’Cie thing enough! As the orange diamond shapes began to appear around Reno in a circle, he looked down at the ground and another large diamond shape was under him, he scuttled to his feet and backed away from the weird looking shapes and watched as the shapes rose up and out of them came a creature who looked so…deadly and it struck fear into Reno’s heart. His face twisted from angry to despair.
Reno stood there not able to feel his legs as he still gripped his arm with the brand on it, the burning faded away a bit as he stared at the creature in front of him. Wings on its back and floating in the air…maybe this really was a horror movie…and Reno wasn’t going to make it to the sequel. As he stood there in fear, he decided something…well if he was going to go out, might as well go out with a bang! He dropped his hands to his sides forming into fists as the look on his face changed once again, his eyes narrowed and his brows furrowed and her stood up tall towards the creature. “Alright then…If this is how it’s going to end…then I’m going to do my damnedest to make sure I go out strong!” He said in a loud tone as the Eidolon floated there, still scaring Reno, but he wasn’t going to show it. “Well…what are you waiting for? Bring it on!” He said provoking the creature as he cracked his knuckles and waited to be obliterated.Words: 916 Muse: Great! Tagged: Cissnei, Clay Matthews, Raji, creepy clown and fridge... ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei was still rooted to the spot right inside where the web of hallways started. Biting her lip, she glanced over her shoulder at where the men were all unconscious on the floor. Heart beat was accelerated as she turned her head back and squared her shoulders. Reno, she had to find Reno! That shout hadn't just been to find her, something was the matter, and she needed to find him. How exactly though? It wasn't as if she knew exactly where he was now. No turning back now. With confident strides she set out to find Reno Sinclair. Boyfriend, comrade and co-worker. No backing down, no turning around, this was going to be seen through.
Amazingly she turned down the right hallway this time, figuring she would go the way she had thought the yell had come from. Of course it was just guesswork now. Still, she would find him because it had now become almost like another mission. Mission finding Reno. That was how she looked at it. Getting her emotions involved wasn't good when she was trying to keep a clear head. So she focused on one thought. This is a mission. Thats all it is. Your mission? Find Reno. Go! With that little pep talk Cissnei was now shut down emotionally and had switched over to her business side. The side of her that didn't let anything get to her, didn't let her emotions get involved. She was now a Turk, not Reno's girlfriend, as she had been when she had been freaking out.
It was a good feeling. Being in control of the situation. Not that she was completely on top of the situation, but just feeling like you were got you a long ways. And she felt on top of her emotions and in control of her own brain and emotions, she would be able to get through this. No giving up...no backing down. She was a Turk. Turk's didn't fail, they just got up, brushed themselves off and tried again. That was what made them great. The sounds of her quiet steps echoed in her ears as she walked. So quiet, she was light on her feet but with no other sound it seemed unnaturally loud. Thats when she got her first break other then Reno's shout. A roar suddenly filled the air around her, hitting her ears with a blast. (I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Diablos roared so that she can actually find her way lol)
Head whipped up quickly and crimson eyes changed yet again. “RENO!” Something about that roar...without thinking Cissnei was running toward where the sound had come from, confident that if she found whatever had made that sound she would find Reno. Everything else was forgotten as Cissnei tried to remember where the roar had come from. She shoved open every door down the hallway, opening them all to find nothing. Thats when she saw the dead end. The end of the hallway...one more door. Running over to it, Cissnei grasped the door handle and pushed it open, bursting inside the door quickly. So much for quiet.
She had never been so happy to see anyone as she was to see Reno then. Confident it was him, crimson eyes had only room for Reno in them for a moment. “RENO!” That burst out of her lips before suddenly the rest of the scene filled her eyes. Cissnei had made a few running steps toward him before seeing what he was facing. Whatever it was was huge, and everything about it screamed scary. Skidding to a stop, Cissnei's mouth dropped open and she stood there staring at whatever it was that was floating there. What the hell is that? Adrenaline accelerated her heart once again, but no matter what it was, at least she had found Reno. She had been on her way to hug him, but crimson eyes were held almost in a trance at what was floating behind him.
What had he found? And what was going on? She needed answers, but first, it seemed as if they needed to fight this thing. “What is it?!” Shuriken came out there, she didn't need to know what it was, all she needed to know she already knew. Reno was alive. He was alive, and they were both going to stay that way, no matter what this huge thing was that they were facing off with.
With another roar Diablos raised its arm and waved it before bringing it down. Cissnei felt a dark magic surround her and she felt her energy being sapped. With a gasp, Cissnei fell to her knees and her shuriken clattered to the floor next to her. Pain seemed to come from the inside out, the attack weakening her. Trying to get to her feet, Cissnei rose halfway before dropping back down, unable to find the strength. Kneeling there on one knee, the other leg bent, Cissnei wondered if this was the end. Her hand was pressed against the floor and she took in great gasping breathes as she tried to find her strength, any reserve! Anything! She saw double then, her body trying to recover from the magic that had just been thrown at her. "It can't...end this way." That was spoken in a whisper, her head hung down and her eyes closed. Breathe in, hold it for a second, breathe back out.
Her heart was beating faster trying to counter the magic and she felt the adrenaline giving her body the strength it needed. Opening her eyes, she raised her head slowly and picked up her shuriken, stood up then, standing a bit unsteadily on her feet. It wasn't if she could or not, this was something they had to do. She cut her gaze over to Reno, giving him as close a smile as she could muster. Her hand shook that was holding her shuriken, but her body was getting strength back. Another hit like that though, and she might not be able to get back up again. She couldn't take another hit like that! Words: 1136 Muse: great!! Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno breathed in heavily as he stared at the creature ahead of him. It was definitely scary looking and Reno could tell just by looking at the size of this huge thing that he could be swept off the face of the planet by one swing from this thing. If this was how it had to be…at least he didn’t have a focus to worry about anymore after this battle. He gritted his teeth as his hands were balled into fists, he had one foot forward and the other back a little ways in an aggressive stance. With Reno provoking the beast, he roared loudly, and Reno felt his ears ring as his eyes crossed a bit at the loud sound of the roar, he closed his eyes until the roar stopped and he was left with a minor headache and a ringing in his ears, but beyond all that, he heard Cissnei yell out his name. So she was alive…that was a comforting thought, but he didn’t want her to end this way! No! She couldn’t know he was a L’Cie! He had to keep her safe no matter what.
When Cissnei made it into the room, a look of worry swept across Reno’s face as she stood there in the same room with him and the Eidolon, his sleeve still pulled back from his wrist to show off his brand, but he had forgotten about it. When she asked what it was, Reno hesitated for a moment. Not sure how to respond he pulled out his Mag Rod and stared back at Diablos. “I’m….not sure. It just appeared.” Reno explained quickly before Diablos roared again and sent a waving arm towards the two, Reno, in Turk fighting mode, Jumped and rolled out of the way avoiding the attack but Cissnei, wasn’t so lucky. He skidded to a stop from his roll and looked back at Cissnei, she had been hit with magic. She had dropped her Shuriken and Reno gritted his teeth once more, leaping up to his feet as she was down on one knee.
Running over to Cissnei, Reno watched as Diablos started forming another magic attack aimed for Cissnei. He ran over and slid against the floor ending up right in front of her, his arms spread out blocking her from any sort of attack that would come from the Eidolon. He was so worried about Cissnei, especially when she said she couldn’t end that way. This was utterly horrible. Reno stood in front of Cissnei like a barrier, a shield, and he started provoking the beast once again, but this time to come after him and leave her be. “Come on then! What are you waiting for?!” He provoked with a smirk on his face as he took a few steps away from Cissnei, drawing the beasts attention away from her and towards the opposite side of the room. “Cissnei! Get out of here!” He called over another roar from Diablos before the Eidolon took on a physical attack, swinging its arm down to try and claw at Reno. He just back flipped out of the way, landing on his feet before he looked beyond the summon at Cissnei as she rose to her feet.
“Cissnei, I’m not kidding. Get back to the helicopter I’ll meet you there.” He said quickly before jumping out of the way of another attack and scurrying over to Cissnei while Diablos was getting even angrier. As Reno made it over to Cissnei he placed his hands on both of her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. “Cissnei, I can’t have you hurt okay? I’ll meet you outside…I promise. Just please give me something less to worry about.” He pleaded another thought entered his mind. ‘She leaves and is safe…I stay here and go down with the beast…all is well right?’ But he just promised he’d come out with her. ‘If I live…’ he thought to himself again, knowing this could be the end…it sickened him. If this was it…then he better make the most of the next like 5 seconds before Diablos came to crush the life out of him.
This next little piece Reno was going to spit out, really….he really meant what he was about to say, when you are in a life and death situation, things just come to you. Reno realized it may have been soon to blurt these words out, but he had to say them, especially if he never got another chance after this. While still holding onto her shoulders, Reno stared at Cissnei, a worry some look still on his face as he tried to put a smile on, small but still there. “Cissnei, I…Love you…” he said quietly before starting to inch Cissnei towards the doorway. “Remember that okay…” this definitely sounded like a good-bye. As Reno looked at Cissnei, he was just about to hug her tightly and give her a kiss before he felt the presence of Diablos behind him, he clenched his fists as he whipped around and a firey magical blast came out of his hand and was sent towards the beast. L’Cie had magical powers…that was handy…after striking the beast, it wailed a bit before landing on the ground in front of Reno, his brand burned before the Eidolon disappeared into a small crystal into the shape of a diamond…it landed in Reno’s hand and he just stared at it.Words: 1031 Muse: FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." So Reno didn't know what it was either? That thought was unsettling, but how many times had they gone up against things they didn't know and win? They were Turks! No matter what they were faced with, they won. They couldn't afford to loose. It was their business to win. They could do this. They had to do this. Those thoughts crossed her mind even as she stood in a calm, collected manner. Cissnei had always been good at being a Turk, mainly from her natural ability in fighting and the severe training she had been put through as a young girl, but also because of her calm nature and level headedness. Under most circumstances, nothing got to her to unsettle her, thus she could remain calm and think of ways to get out of tough situations.
Yet as she got surrounded by the dark magic and fell to her knees, “ugh.” feeling the pain that enveloped her body brought a bit of fear to surface within her. Head was hung and facing the ground as she knelt there, trying to get the strength back. Bitingn her lip, Cissnei thought back to the time when she had almost been killed by a strong Genesis copy. Luck had been on her side that day as well, but would it be the same today? Vaguely she realized that Reno had come to her rescue, standing in front of her, and for another few seconds she just knelt there, breathes coming in shallow gasps. The magic had felt like it had drained her breath from her body. Almost like she couldn't get any air in her lungs. Crushing her, but slowly the feeling was wearing off, the affects must not be long lasting.
Finally getting enough energy back to rise to her feet, Cissnei felt her shuriken through almost numb hands, but the feeling there was returning as well. Yet she was still dizzy, unable to cut through the fog that seemed to be clouding her senses. Crimson eyes swung to Reno as he told her to get out. She couldn't let him fight this battle alone! No, she had to help him with this, how could she walk away and leave him? She had been worrying for the last few minutes on whether he was fine or not, how could she possibly leave and not know what was happening? Even with her calm, cool self, she would be freaking out, and being here, watching, even in harms way was better to her then not having a single idea what was happening to her friend, co-worker and boyfriend. It would kill her. She shook her head stubbornly and raised her shuriken, a determined look flashed across her face.
Yes she hurt, yes she felt dizzy, but she was also a Turk. Cissnei never backed down, she would see this through to the end. “I can't!” Was all she said in reply. As it attacked Reno Cissnei let her shuriken fly, it was a weaker attack then normal though, from her lack of strength. (I had to get one attack in at least rofl) Cutting a long slash through the beasts hide, it came back around and though Cissnei would have normally caught it with expert hands, with her numbness she couldn't get her fingers to grasp it right, and it clattered to the ground once more. This was doing more irritation the damage, but it was still something, and it made her feel more accomplished as well, more like she had helped. Cissnei glanced down at the weapon that lay where it had fallen and went to pick it up once more. Logically she probably should go. Her body was in pain and she couldn't seem to get her strength back.
Arm reached out to get her weapon, it was a good thing the beast wasn't coming after her. Before she could lean down to pick it up, hands were on her shoulders. Lifting her face up, Reno filled her gaze. Crimson eyes were somewhat blank as she took in what he was saying. How could she possibly leave? Opening her mouth to argue, something about his eyes caught her attention. So entrapping, more emotional then she had probably ever seen him. His words made sense, but how could she go and not know? His words were almost pleading, her gaze was unwavering, and yet she could feel her resolve breaking down. And...he had promised! She clung to that one shred of hope, that he was telling the truth. He couldn't die, he had promised her he would live. In only a few seconds they shared an emotional moment. Cissnei didn't want to leave, fearing that this would be the last time she would get to see Reno. His hands seemed heavy on her shoulder blades, heart pounded heavily, slowed down by the magic that had hit her with a vengeance. “Reno I-...” She cut herself off, not knowing exactly what she wanted to tell him. That, he was her new dream? That she was happier with him then ever? That she loved him?
It really was amazing that when everything was on the line, your life hung in the balance, hanging by a thread. Time seemed to slow down to an extreme, breathe in, look at Reno, breathe out. Eyes were wide as she looked at him, trying to know, trying to make up her own mind. When he smiled she didn't know what to make of it. He was telling her to go, that he wanted her to live, and he could very well die here right now, and he had a little smile on his face. Her own emotions were a swirl right at the moment, almost as if she couldn't make up her mind to be determined or freaked out. Somehow she could feel something important coming, but what he said made her mind empty. He...he...he loved her?! The conflicting emotions only heightened then. Cissnei tried to cling to the hope that she would see him again, but it was so hard when you were a Turk. Knowing...knowing that even though he promised he could die at any second and leave her.
Her lips trembled and she tried to hold it together, but could she do it? Her feet moved without her thinking about it, just following Reno's guiding as he took her toward the door. Cissnei was still staring at him, an odd expression on her face. Remember that? It sounded like he was going to die then. Like he was telling her to leave so she wouldn't have to see it. Looming ever behind though, the beast. Cissnei had just made up her mind to stay and die with him when suddenly he spun on his heel and sent a mass of fiery magic attacks toward the beast. Cissnei stood, dumbfounded, Reno had never been able to use magic like that before...how was he doing it? Right before her eyes it disappeared into what looked to be a small crystal or diamond and dropped into Reno's hand.
In a few seconds Cissnei would wonder about that, but for now she was simply acknowledging the fact that they were alive. “Reno!” She burst out before feeling her legs move. In a few running strides she had gotten to him and made a leap, arms settling around his neck and she hugged him tightly. Tears had formed in her eyes and blurred her vision. Her face was buried in his neck and she tried to hold her tears back. No one made her so emotional. “I thought...I'd never see you...again!” Her voice was muffled, and arms were wrapped around his neck and her clasp tight, almost as if only then facing the idea that she might never have seen him again. “Or tell you I love you as well.” That was spoken in a whisper, Cissnei hadn't ever been good at expressing her emotions, especially when it came to relationships. But with Reno it had just come, in the heat of the battle she realized that she loved him. It all became so clear then. But she was still holding onto him like she was never letting go, her heartbeat accelerating as she once again thought about what could have happened. Squeezing her eyes closed, a few tears started down her face and she tried to block out the thought of what might have happened...but one thing she didn't know...their entire life had changed, and yet she just didn't know it yet.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno had a theory of what this was…and if he remembered his research correctly, this wasn’t going to be pretty. Eidolons appeared to bring failing L’Cie to their doom…or at least that’s what the stories described it as. If that was how this day was going to end, then shoot, Cissnei really HAD to leave! If Reno was going to go down, there was no way in hell he was taking her with him. He wanted her to live, finish all those things she wanted to do before she died…not waste her time getting crushed and beaten to death here. That was Reno’s job as of now, this was his problem, his focus, not hers. She didn’t need to get dragged into this mess, and even if Reno did survive this, he wasn’t going to tell her about his being a L’Cie now, she was not going to interfere with his problems. She didn’t need that type of weight on her shoulders. It was Reno’s burden to bear.
Cissnei was down, and Reno was in front of her, guarding her like a shield as his face had determination written all over it. Thankfully Diablos didn’t try to strike with another attack, otherwise Reno would probably go down with Cissnei, then they’d really be in trouble. So standing there in front of Cissnei, Reno had his arms out, keeping her out of the line of fire before provoking the Eidolon to another part of the room. It all seemed to be working in Reno’s favor right about now, now that he was very positive about the outlook of this battle, in fact, it scared him half to death, but there was no time to show emotion and admit his fears, his only true concern was making sure Cissnei was safe and no longer harmed. “These things never know when to quit.” He grumbled keeping Diablos’ attention with continuous ways to provoke him.
Reno was doing quite well at keeping the beast’s attention, but Cissnei throwing her weapon and having it pierce its skin, made it roar and what not. Still keeping a good eye on Reno, Diablos swung his arm at Reno and Reno ducked under the attack, rolling out of the way as the summon’s arm got stuck in the wall, giving Reno ample time to try and get Cissnei out of here, and her continued to try and persuade her out of here with his pleads. But she just seemed stubborn, of course she didn’t say much of anything since she entered the room. Sure Reno had just spilled out his emotions and guts in very few words, but he had to say what he felt, and make sure Cissnei knew exactly what he was thinking about her and what not. His persistence to get her out of there continued, but Diablos just got his attention.
With that magical fire attack, Diablos wailed and had transformed into crystal, landing in Reno’s palm he stared at it for a few moments before realizing what he had said to Cissnei. He had thrown out the ‘L’ word…perhaps it was too soon? Of course, Reno felt as if he was going to die today so….it wasn’t really something he could plan, it just came out, and he never regretted it. Not one bit. As he gripped the diamond shaped crystal he closed his eyes for a moment before putting the crystal in his pocket and turning back to Cissnei who seemed to be in all sorts of emotions. When she said his name, he felt relief, and he began to smile before she ran over to him, leaping at him and giving him the biggest hug in the history of hugs.
"Cissnei..." Reno gasped as that hug Cissnei did, it sent Reno down into the ground. She had leapt at him and he didn’t expect such a reaction from her! As Reno fell back onto the floor, his head hitting the ground below him, he really didn’t care, he just wrapped his arms around Cissnei, glad she was okay, and glad to be alive. Taking in a deep breath and closing his eyes he just felt so grateful right now. Here he was, sure he was on a floor from this giant mega tackle hug he received, but he couldn’t be happier. Though Reno did make sure to pull his sleeve back down over his brand as he decided to enjoy this little moment. Especially when Cissnei said she loved him too. That made his day…more like his week…or year. Life and Death situations sure bring out the true emotions in a person. “I never break a promise...” He said with a grin as a wave of relieve washed over him. He would worry about his brand and focus later, for now…he was content.Words: 903 Muse: Great! Tagged: Cissnei Notes: May not be as long as your last one....>.> but still great!

...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." A good day at the office? You lived. In their business it was easy to die. Today was just a tribute that. No one lived forever granted, but every day of their lives they faced situations where they might be killed. It was an unsettling thought, but Cissnei had never really thought about it before this moment before. Before it had just been her, but now...now she had something to live for. Reno. Sappy right? But still, he had given her something to live for, to look foreword to, something to survive for. While it was a good feeling, it also took the edge off. Now it wasn't just herself with nothing truly to live for. She now WANTED to live, and thus, in tight situations, she could get more emotional. It could be compromising, but she would not stop doing what she was doing.
What else was there for her? She had tried being 'normal' and that hadn't worked out so well. Yes, she had excelled at everything she did. But that wasn't the point. Cissnei had hated it, the people didn't know anything and yet they thought they were hotshots. But back to the situation at hand. The beast was taken down quite swiftly once Reno sent magic attacks in its direction. Cissnei had seen Turks use materia before, but as far as she knew, Reno had no materia equipped. It didn't make any sense! Why was he able to use magic without the use of materia? For a second she just stood there, wondering if it was truly all done with now, but then she was on her way toward Reno with blinding speed.
Her name was spoken with a gasp and the next thing she knew they had fallen to the ground. To elated to even think about it, she just kept hugging him fiercely with her face buried in his neck. Always fiercely devoted to those that were around her, especially those she cared about, Cissnei could feel the adrenaline she had felt from the battle start to wear off. Now that it was all over and done with, she could not feel like she was never going to see Reno again. It was amazing how clear things became when you might loose them. Clear as day, and a few minutes previous, when she had thought she might die, or that Reno would, her life had flashed before her eyes. So cliché, but it was correct. What had she ever had to live for? Nothing. When it came right down to it, nothing.
She felt his arms go around her and closed her eyes, a little sigh escaped her lips. Just to sit...or rather lay here was enough for her. A deep shudder ran through her body and Cissnei loosened her grip somewhat from around Reno's neck, still holding onto him, but not in a death grip anymore. When he said he'd never break a promise the tears she had been able to hold back now threatened her again. Swallowing hard, she nodded silently, smiling through the tears and she remembered what he had told her when he had given her the promise ring. “I know...for those few seconds, when I thought I'd never see you again...” She trailed off, unsure of how to say what she was feeling. Was she supposed to just come right out and tell him what she was feeling? This was all so new to her, the emotions, actually caring for someone. She hadn't been close to anyone in years, not since leaving ShinRa. “I...knew I would...because you had promised.”
Leaning back a bit, Cissnei lay there with his arms around her and looked at him, a tiny smile on her face and reached up with her hand to brush the tears away. “When did I turn into such a crybaby anyway? I haven't cried in...I don't cry.” With a little chuckle, she dried the traces of tears away from her face before leaning her head down on Reno's chest again, wrapping her arms around his neck again. If she had to die now she wouldn't be so upset. Having him know she loved him and being loved in return helped things be easier. Her mind had been cleared of everything she wanted to ask him about the diamond thing, or what had happened, all she wanted to do was lay here and hug him. She inhaled a few times and caught his scent, -as stalkerish as that sounds- and it relaxed her. Her hands were still a bit numb, but feeling was returning more rapidly. Eyes closed again and her body relaxed more before she remembered the man they had been sent after. Should they be getting him back to ShinRa? Or could it wait for a few more minutes...? She didn't want to leave...

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Well….today was anything but boring. Reno could vouch for that himself, and Cissnei probably could as well. Today had been far from ordinary, this was probably the closest Reno’s been to death, and to think…even after this ‘life or death’ moment was over, Reno still had a long tough road ahead of him. He was a L’Cie now, a brand marked on his wrist to show for it…and magical powers that he didn’t understand. It was all going to be so confusing…and the worst part, how to leave Cissnei behind? He was NOT going to let her get involved with this L’Cie mess. He knew then and there that at the end of the day…he’d have to turn in his resignation and call it quits. How he hated to quit the life he knew, but there was no way he could stick around a ticking time bomb…just waiting to complete his focus which, he had a theory of. That glimpse he saw, destroying the ShinRa company. He wasn’t going to stick around for that to fall to pieces once again, and by his own hands.
Part of Reno wanted to tell Cissnei about the brand, the focus, everything, but another part figured he should just keep quiet, what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her. He had to let her go…let her be safe, and not get involved with this L’Cie junk. After witnessing the damage she took from his own Eidolon, that was nothing into comparison to what he could go through. He’d seen the way Cloud acted once before, your emotions and thoughts get twisted into something wicked…you get very testy, and learning from experience, Reno didn’t want to risk hurting Cissnei himself. It was something he dreaded, so leaving her behind was the best possible solution, no explanations, no nothing. He would just leave without so much as a ‘good-bye’.
As Cissnei then came bolting to him, the speed from her running really knocked Reno down and she fell on top of him just hugging away at his neck and what not. He sighed in heavily as she continued to hug him around the neck. As weird as this all turned out to be, this was a nice loving moment. Both had spit out the ‘L’ word and truly meant it, that made it all worth it in the end, so long as Reno knew Cissnei loved him…that would carry him on to the end of his focus and beyond. How it sickened him on the inside to think about leaving her behind…at the company he was ordered to destroy. Damn Fal’Cie…why the hell was one here anyway? Must be PSICOM’s doing or something like that…Reno was curious, but not curious enough to go back and investigate the Fal’Cie that branded him.
Reno could hear her voice, clear as day, but somehow something in her voice told him she was about to cry. Sometimes people just picked up on those things, and Reno was one of them. As she continued to hug him, no longer in a choke hold or anything, Reno felt safe, he felt happy again, forgetting his focus and just listening to her speak. He had promised her he would stay alive and always be there for her, and he always kept his promises. “I did promise…and I’m a man of my word.” He said with a grin on his face as he kept his arms loosely around her and just breathed in steadily, his chest rising up and down a little as he took in breaths to try and calm his heartbeat down from one…the fight that had just happened, and two…well Cissnei was hugging him while laying on top of him, he couldn’t help but blush or something like that, which thank god she had her face buried in his neck for the time being.
And now she decided to lean back, Reno almost held his breath as he tried to get the burning blush that was creeping up his neck to go away, and it did soften a bit when he finally saw her brush tears away from her eyes. “You’re not a crybaby…believe me…I’ve seen one before.” (Loz) “You’re one of the toughest people I know…the way you took that hit…” He said with an encouraging grin as she then leaned down back against his chest. He let a huge sigh escape his lips as he took in the moment, on hand laying flat on the ground, the other against Cissnei’s back. It was probably time to get going, back to the ShinRa building, but this moment could last a few moments longer…Reno wanted it to. He closed his eyes with a smile on his face, as always and just let time tick away. After a few minutes of silence and enjoying the quiet tender moment they had, Reno finally spoke. “As much as I would love to continue to just lay here….I think we better start heading back…wouldn’t want them to send Rude or Elena out to find us now would we?” He said with a brief chuckle waiting for Cissnei to speak up or do something.Words: 974 Muse: Super Fantastic! ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." If Cissnei knew that Reno was thinking of leaving without so much as a goodbye he would have hell to pay for it. Though quiet and reserved in most situations, when she got on a roll Cissnei could be very bossy. Probably a trait she had picked up from her days of gaining respect in ShinRa as a very young girl. The youngest to successfully join ShinRa, the Turks were her family and she had felt it her duty and responsibility to look out for each and every Turk member. With that brought a few different types of personality traits. First and foremost, a fierce determination as well as a powerful loyalty to ShinRa and all the Turks. Secondly, it brought a motherly side as she looked out for them, even if they didn't wish for her to do so. Thus came the personality trait of being bossy. If she knew he was thinking of leaving she would chew him up one side and down the other for thinking of leaving, especially without saying goodbye.
Yet of course she remained oblivious as she lay half on top of him and laid her head down on his chest. Had he been any less preoccupied with thoughts and feelings of fear that she might have just seen the last of Reno she might have been blushing as well. Laying on him though, didn't bother her because she was thinking about what had all just happened. Cissnei knew nothing about the fal'cie or l'cie or else she would have the pieces together. Soon though, she would remember about the diamond and ask him about it, soon. At the moment she was just content trying not to think about anything and just laying there. Yet as always, Cissnei was all business and that side of her would return, it always did, no matter what the situation was.
Smiling then, for the moment it was all better, Reno had promised and she believed him. “I know.” Simple reply, but that was Cissnei. She usually didn't go into long explanations of her feelings, going the simple route in order to save time and breathe, which somewhat was a balance between Reno's talking abilities. Cissnei hadn't noticed the blush, probably for the same reason she wasn't blushing herself. She wasn't, after all, the greatest person with emotionally or physically being close to someone. (Physically being like hug and stuff, not to sound creepy lol) So this was new that she would be laying on top of him practically without a thought about it.
Thankfully he didn't agree with her that she was a crybaby. Cissnei didn't like that thought, it made her feel inferior to the other Turks. Cissnei hadn't ever seen a Turk cry, so just the fact that a few tears had come down was embarrassing in itself. Of course, if Reno had agreed teasingly it wouldn't have been so bad, just the fact that he might think she really was a crybaby that got to her. Strong emotionally and physically, Cissnei could deal with almost any situation, -within reason of course- and come out victorious in the end, yet she had never thought of herself as an elite member, though she was. That hit...what would he say if she had been scared out of her wits on the inside? The only thing that had saved her was the fact that when in tough situations, Cissnei was able to completely block out the fear and focus on the problem at hand.
“Thank you.” It was more then a 'thanks for giving me a compliment,' that was a more in depth thank you. Thanking him for making her cease to worry, thanking him for saving her life, thanking him for being there, thanking him for telling her he loved her. So many different things. Yet when it came right down to it she was thanking him for being Reno Sinclair, second in command of the Turks. Enough being sappy. Curling up just a bit, she laid there with her head on his chest and felt his heartbeat going in a perfect rhythm. Calming almost as her heart was beating at the same pace. Just a few moments...then they could go back to work. With a deep breath, and pressed her face against his chest and closed her eyes.
Of course nothing could last forever, including their tender moment. When he said they should start heading back Cissnei suddenly realized where they were. Business side kicked in again and she pushed against his chest until she was leaning back again. Sitting up, she suddenly realized that she had been laying on top of him practically. A blush crept up her own neck at that, and she nodded with a little sigh. The moment couldn't go on forever even if she wanted it to. “I suppose your right, ShinRa waits for nobody.” Smiling down at him laying there, Cissnei brushed her hair behind her ear and glanced over her shoulder at the door. It was somewhat awkward that she had jut realized they had been laying down on the floor. But pushing that aside, Cissnei got to her feet and held out her hand to Reno, though he didn't need her assistance. Crimson eyes stared into blue eyes. “At least we got our man right?” Words: 1000 Muse: better! Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno had his thoughts full right now. How exactly was he going to get away from ShinRa? Giving a resignation…that would be too suspicious and it would scream that something was wrong. Reno was so dedicated to his job…that, it just wasn’t a good idea. He’d probably end up sneaking out, and not showing up for a long time. A weird thought then came into his mind…was he creative enough to stage his own death? No probably not, a silly idea…but it did continue to linger in his head for a few moments. Perhaps take the helicopter? Crash it purposely and make it look like he died in the crash? No, he couldn’t do that to people, especially Cissnei and even Rude. The Turks were his family and he didn’t want them to feel any heartache from his ‘death’. He let the idea slip away from his mind as he just tried to think of here and now…nothing more.
What more was there to think about? Reno truly feared the future, though his face didn’t show any expression, just blank as he laid there on the ground, Cissnei laying on him and thankfully not looking at his face. He seemed to be in deep thought and he was, he had to push that stupid idea of staging his death out of his mind, and just plan an escape from the ShinRa building…undetected. He knew the building’s ins and outs like the back of his hand, it wouldn’t be hard, so long as no one caught him. He’d do it in the middle of the night, the darkest time, to make it easier on himself, and he’d just make a run for it. Or maybe take one of the vehicles silently, he didn’t know. But he’d have to plot this all out soon enough…before it’s too late.
With a heavy sigh Reno decided to forget about it for now, though he couldn’t let it slip away from him for very long. For now he was content with here and now, Cissnei and him together, not dead or anything near that, very much alive in fact. He was just…happy to hear her speak, even if it was only a few words at a time, if even one word. “Good…” he replied to her knowing about him keeping a promise…which..he generally would do, but there was something that crept into his mind. Hadn’t he said he would always be there for her? That was going to eat away at him once he left…keeping a promise like that would be hard, and with these circumstances, he just couldn’t. He wasn’t going to tell her about him being a L’Cie or his focus, that was one thing he couldn’t do, because knowing her she’d want to help, and he was NOT going allow that. EVER.
“You’re welcome.” Reno simply stated with a grin returning to his face, no longer deep in thought now, he just decided to enjoy the moment while it lasted. Of course getting back to ShinRa was a priority…but for now, Reno was out of work mode and into boyfriend mode…enjoying the time together, for it could very well be the last moment they share before he runs off to figure this focus thing out. That right there killed him on the inside. But the grin on his face hid the fact that he was hurting on the inside, it would be painful to walk out of those doors and never come back, unless he decided to fulfill his focus. Which then made him remember, those beasts he and Zack had fought once upon a time, those creatures he researched, those were called Cie’th, failed L’Cie turn into them, so basically it was focus or bust. Either way, Reno didn’t exactly have a bright happy future ahead of him. Time was going to run out sooner than he thought…and he didn’t even know how much time he had for this stupid mission of his! Lovely.
When Cissnei started talking again, Reno blinked and looked at her as she sat up. A small blush could be seen on her face and Reno just grinned like a fool again as she got up, clearly stating that ShinRa waited for no one, which was true. As Reno then started to get up himself, he felt his brand burn under his sleeve, he had to ignore that for now and when Cissnei reached her hand out to help him up, he gladly took it…with his left hand, not wanting to risk her seeing the brand. Once up he brushed off his jacket and shirt and nodded at her. “Yup, we got him alright.” He said with a wink before placing an arm around her shoulder. “Let’s get going…and hope we don’t get lost on our way back…I swear this place must have thousands of rooms…or is just one big maze.” He said with a small shrug leading her towards the door and trying to shove those thoughts of a horrible fate away from his mind.Words: 956 Muse: Good Tagged: Cissnei Notes: Sorry if its crappy...Reno was actually quiet lol!

...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei was being quiet, just trying to figure things out, but something she never would have expected? Reno being...well quiet. One thing she had always been able to count on was the fact that Reno would be there to liven things up, but he seemed to be just as quiet and reserved as she was. Not, of course, that she minded. After all, maybe he was thinking the same things she was. About life and dying and all that mayhem. Though he was thinking of that in a roundabout way, Cissnei had to admit she never would have guessed what he was thinking about. Had she known all hell would break loose. Quiet girl stereotype only went so far. Reno leaving the Turks would be like having the one happy part gone. The rest were...well Cissnei loved them, but none of them could brighten up her day with just a smile, or make her laugh even when she was deep in thought, or was her boyfriend.
Still, the fact that he was so quiet was a bit unsettling. It was a Rude deep in thought moment all over again. Of course, the last time they had both been so quiet was when they had been thinking about the future. It might be hard being a Turk now. Cissnei had never thought about it before, the fighting, the fact that they might die. After all, she was an orphan, no real family, no ties. All she had was the Turks. Having something to live for certainly mixed up the pot and changed your outlook on life. Perfect example here. Clinging to that one person who was the single most important person in her life, Cissnei closed her eyes again and cleared her thoughts as best she could, in effect wiping the slate clean. A fresh start trying to get away from the odd thoughts and swirling emotions. Easier said then done, yet somehow she managed to accomplish it for a second or two before she was reawakened to the fact that they still had a job to do.
After getting to her feet she clasped his hand and he stood up. Straitening her own suit, Cissnei got her appearance all situated and combed a hand through her chestnut hair. Probably a bit mussy, but she could always fix it later on. Making sure the rest of her ensemble was neat looking, Cissnei glanced over toward her Shuriken laying on the ground. Retrieving it, Cissnei returned to where Reno was brushing himself off. He still wasn't saying anything, so she just kept to herself as well, staring down at where they had been laying with that blasted blush creeping up her face again. She knew it was there...it always seemed to be there. How had she leapt at him so crazily anyway? Of course, she had been elated that they were alive and well, but that still didn't mean anything. Cissnei was supposed to always be in control of her emotions. It was how she had been raised and trained under the harsh training she had revived. Maybe thats why she loved Reno so much.
He made her feel human.
The best reason to love someone? Maybe, or possibly all the other reasons. Because they completed you, made you laugh, you loved it when they kissed you, companionship, smiling even through the tears, the list was endless. So quiet. The silence was almost potent, swirling around them in a flurry, but she broke it and they got to talking again. Cissnei had been missing the smile on Reno's face, and as it returned once again she felt hope. Hope that something wasn't amiss. Yet, like any good Turk, she had a feeling. A feeling she hated! It was that feeling like something wasn't right. Something was out of place and it couldn't be fixed. Pushing the feeling aside, she focused on what was happening right now. One of those world famous dazzling smiles.
Should she say anything about him being quiet? Obviously he didn't want to talk about it or anything...but...still, something made her almost want to ask. Opening her mouth to do so, Cissnei closed it when Reno gave her a wink and placed his arm around her shoulder. Was everything...alright? Strangely perceptive, Cissnei turned her head and looked up at Reno, a questioning gaze. Yet she couldn't help but smile in return. He even was joking around a bit. Maybe she should just let it rest. But something wasn't right. Yet she didn't know what it was. Feeling the height of his arm across her shoulders made her sigh a bit, just happy that he was still there. “A maze...I was running around forever trying to find you. Scariest moments of my life I think.” A hesitant pause, come right out with it? Or just let it simmer under the pot until a later date? “Reno? Are you...ok? Whatever that thing was...it didn't hit you or anything did it?” He was acting strangely, but then again they -more like he- had just faced something big that they didn't know about and had won. Reaching her arm up, Cissnei wrapped it around his waist with an inward sigh. This was another reason why she loved him. Call it cliche if you like, but he always made her feel all warm and cuddly inside.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno really needed a distraction, otherwise his intense quietness would be questioned sooner or later. He was never this quiet. He figured he could play it off as ‘I almost died…just…thinking about all I’m thankful for’ rather than spilling the beans about him plotting his escape from ShinRa and from those he cared about. Pulling his fellow Turks, and especially Cissnei, in the line of fire, would not fly with him, he wanted to take care of this by himself without drawing any attention to himself, especially from PSICOM, he’d seen the way they’d gone after Cloud Strife, he couldn’t fight them off like some people could. It would be a suicide mission if he went up against PSICOM alone…so no one could know about this, no one.
Now that they were up and situated, Reno was going to get back to talking, cracking jokes, and trying to be as normal…well, Reno normal, as possible. He grinned happily as they talked about the place being a maze, which was no exaggeration to him at least. “You were running around looking for me? I was running around looking for you! That’s probably where we got lost.” He said with a shrug. “I kept hearing my name get called a few times, which turned me all around in this place.” He said still grinning and keeping his arm around Cissnei’s shoulder. “But all that matters, is we’re both here…and that hopefully we don’t get lost again!” He said with a chuckle before ruffling Cissnei’s hair and running off a bit, which he knew he’d probably get yelled at for, or maybe even hit for it, but it lightened up his mood perfectly.
When she asked about how he was…Reno didn’t know what to say really. He turned around and looked at her with that grin plastered to his face. “Me? Oh I’m fine…I didn’t get hit or anything just…probably got a little freaked out that’s all. But I’m good now…” he said shrugging his shoulders a bit trying to brush the subject off and play off as if he were fine, which, physically he really was, but still, knowing that was HIS Eidolon…he was a L’Cie…it wasn’t so comforting. “How are you feeling? I mean…you did take a magical hit and all.” He said concerned a bit, focusing more on her than himself as they continued to walk through the many halls of this building back towards where they started…the exit and where Reno had tied up that scientist…which Cissnei had knocked out.
Returning to their initial spot, Reno looked down at the scientist who was knocked out and raised an eyebrow, his eyes flickering back to Cissnei. “Someone decided to take a nap?” he said chuckling and looking around at the damage that had been dealt when Cissnei was fighting off the guards. She really could hold her own, and those lessons had come in handy probably. That was one good thing that would ease Reno’s mind about leaving her behind. She could definitely handle herself, no matter what you threw at her she could easily take care of herself, he didn’t need to be around to play hero while she was a damsel in distress. No. She was a Turk, and like any other Turk, male or female, she could handle herself, and probably out-do a lot of the other workers there. One less thing to worry about. With a heavy sight Reno walked over and opened the door they had come in, sunlight beaming through the doorway and practically blinding him for a few moments as his eyes adjusted to the light. “Well let’s get’em and go!” Reno said in a cheerful tone as he walked back over, untying the man and walking him out to the helicopter, hands tied around his back just in case he woke up.
Outside, honestly that mission didn’t take all that long, between traveling there, fighting, the Fal’Cie thingy, and Diablos, it had taken a total of probably 2 hours perhaps? That was a lucky mission in Reno’s eyes…time wise. All other events had taken their toll, leaving some sort of mark. Reno had his brand and Cissnei got the breath knocked out of her from Diablos. Though this right here seemed a bit like déjà vu, they got their man, hoisted him into the back of the chopper and were going to head back to the ShinRa building. Isn’t this like what happened when they were on their way for their first mission together after Cissnei returned to ShinRa? Except, with that little mishap on their way to the mission, no one really got hurt and had anything to show for it. “Ready to roll?” he said out by the helicopter after getting their ‘hostage’ tied up in the back and taken care of. ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei had to laugh at that, apparently they had both been running around crazily trying to find each other. Odd how coincidental that was, but she just shrugged and kept walking. The warmth of his arm around her made her sigh happily and practically glow. (lol had to fit that in xP) Her arm went around his waist and they just walked for a bit. She was happy to do only that, breathing, walking, trying to keep her mind off what could have happened. Yet it wasn't working, Cissnei's overactive mind wouldn't leave her alone. What if Reno had died? What if that magic had killed her? One thing settled into her mind. She must get stronger. No matter what, she had to get stronger and never take another hit like that. It really was an eye opening experience. Strength was the key. Reno was helping her by knowing martial arts, but she needed to get even stronger.
She couldn't let anything happen to anyone. Cissnei had always been the motherly one yes. But it was something more then that. Overprotective of those she cared about, having never had a family she was determined that nothing would happen to her new family, otherwise known as the Turks. She just couldn't let anything happen to them! If she knew about Reno she would help him do whatever he needed to do to help him through the focus. Which of course was the reason that he didn't want to tell her. Still, she had no idea what was happening with him or that weird creature, but now she was thinking about it again. Why had it disappeared? What had it been? And why hadn't the body been there after it had been defeated? The questions were swirling around her head, but before she could talk her hair was getting ruffled and Reno was chuckling.
“RENO!” That came out in a mock gasp and she then was in hot pursuit of him. It had gotten her mind off the bad things, but still, her hair would NOT be messed up! He ran fast, but once he stopped Cissnei was right behind to tackle him. Ok, so she didn't tackle him, but she did jump up to put him in a headlock, proceeding to give him a noogy. In order to give him a noogy she had been standing on her tippy toes and still could barely accomplish it. Still she did, and then it was her turn to laugh, somewhat evilly in fact. “Ha! I so got you back for all the hair messing!” when she released him and stepped back Cissnei was more composed and only had a smirk on her face. “What you get for messing with elite Turk member Cissnei!”
Things then had to get serious, as they always seemed to get with them. He didn't take any hits. But it didn't fly with her. Something was definitely wrong. Something....something...but she couldn't put a finger on it. Something, if she thought about it for longer she might be able to figure it out. “If your sure...” She wouldn't let it drop completely, but for now, she would allow him to think she was buying that story. Of course, while she could feel something was wrong, Cissnei hadn't a clue what it was, and thus her overactive mind was trying to figure it out. Still, perhaps for the moment she should leave well enough alone and just enjoy the fact that they were both alive and well. Going with that, Cissnei attempted a smile.
He asked her about herself. Honestly, she wasn't doing horrible, but she was still feeling the affects. “I'm great.” Hands were still a bit numb, as was her entire body, but it was wearing off slowly. Head seemed to be a bit in a fog as well, maybe that was why she wasn't able to think of what was wrong. “Ok so maybe not great, my body still feels somewhat numb and my head is a bit foggy, but nothing time cant heal, the affects seem to be shorter term then some could be.” With a shrug Cissnei focused again, she had a headache, but even that had diminished. Enough about her though. Cissnei had never been able to go into length about her own sob stories. Tending to focus more on what others had to say and were thinking.
They had made it back to the main room. The other men weren't important, no one but their mission mark mattered. Reno met her eyes for a moment and made a comment about the man and Cissnei laughed a tiny bit. “Yeah I decided he needed to take a nap, he wasn't telling me any information that I needed.” With a tiny shrug she watched as he walked the guy out toward the helicopter. With a glance at the men around her, Cissnei hesitated a moment before following him. “Yes, lets go. Sending two Turks on a mission is the way to go, cleans it up fast.” Walking next to him, she glanced back one more time at the place they had been sent on. As Reno took care of the hostage, Cissnei stood beside the helicopter and looked back once again.
Though her face was emotionless, Cissnei was deep in thought. What HAD that beast been? Why was Reno acting so quiet? What had happened back there? Why had it disappeared? His speaking once again pulled her out of her stupor. Ready? With a little sigh she turned around and attempted a smile, “Yes, lets go. The sooner we get this done the sooner we can get it off our minds. The President and Tseng should be happy with our quick completion.” Walking back toward the helicopter, she opened the door and put a foot on to get in. She hesitated once again, foot in the copter and glanced back again. Little did she know just what that beast had done...or what it meant for the future. Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno wondered how many times they had been in the same room, just a few seconds before the other. It was silly the way they both had run around looking for the other, but still, things eventually turned out, despite Reno’s current situation. He was just happy to be alive and well, Cissnei too. At least, he thought they both were okay, it seemed like it. Both able to stand, talk, and other things like that…so that counted as ‘okay’ in his book. With a stupid grin on his face, back to his old Reno self, Reno kept his arm around Cissnei as she had hers around his waist. He couldn’t help but grin, even at times like this. L’Cie or not, he was still a man, still human, and feels never left him. Cissnei was still the one he wanted to be with and that was clear just by the smile on his face.
He couldn’t help but ruffle Cissnei’s hair. It was totally and unexpected move, and it probably cleared the air a bit on how silent he was before…or maybe it just covered up the fact that he was quiet. Goofy and grinning, Reno ran but didn’t realize what was coming after him as he stopped to turn and talk to Cissnei. Before he knew it, he was head locked. He had to bend a bit so she didn’t have to stand up so tall, but when her fist rubbed across his hair and what not, he knew he probably deserved it. Pure payback for all the ruffles he gave her. He chuckled as he continued to get noogied and she rubbed it in that this was payback, well deserved payback. “Alright! I get it! You win! No more noogies and no more ruffling” he chuckled before she let him go. He stood straight up as his goggles had fallen down in front of his eyes and his hair was a complete mess. Blinking for a minute, Reno slid his goggles over his head and placed them in his pocket before taking the hair band out of his pony tail and re-doing his hair, running his fingers through the once neat spikes to try and smooth things over, but oh well. Once that was all done he put the goggles back on his forehead like usual and went back to walking out. “That wasn’t funny Cissnei…you could’ve nearly ruined my perfect hair day…but that’s okay, I saved it.” He said with a wink.
Continuing their way out, Reno kept going along with his story about him being fine. He simply nodded and kept reassuring Cissnei that he was great! Fantastic! And all that jazz. “I’m perfectly fine Cissnei…I’m positively sure.” He grinned but it fell a bit as she said she wasn’t that great, which who could blame her? She had taken a huge hit from Diablos, which now Reno felt responsible for. Great. He was playing the blame game with himself now. “I’m sure it’ll wear off I mean…it has some I can tell.” He said trying to look at the positive side of things right now. Perhaps the day would be a little better? No probably not. Today was an utterly horrible day, and it wasn’t even over yet! It was going to get worse…much worse.
Reno had the guy in the helicopter in no time! Now it was just time to get going and head back to ShinRa. “You’re right…and a happy Boss means no paydocks for Reno…maybe.” He said with a small smile before starting up the helicopter and letting the propeller on top swirl around until it was ready to lift into the air and start back to ShinRa. As things then were ready to go, the helicopter lifted into the air and began flying back to the base. Reno kept quiet for a few moments, looking as if he were focusing on the skies and his piloting, which was a legit reason for him to be somewhat quiet, but still, his mind was on other things. It was decided in his head that he would leave late tonight…but he did want to do one last thing for Cissnei…to be nice and to give her something to remember him by…just in case things didn’t work out for him. There had to be some way to tell her that he was leaving…and might not ever come back. But…he just couldn’t bear to see the look on her face when he said that…he couldn’t do it face to face.
This was going to get complicated REALLY quick. With a sigh he came back to reality and away from his thoughts. “So…when we get back…I think I’ll take care of this guy and what not…then I think it’s time I take a nap. I haven’t been sleeping that well lately.” He said taking one hand off of the controls and rubbing the back of his head before he yawned some. Placing his hand back on the controls they came to the ShinRa building, landing on the pad and cutting the engine, Reno hopped up and took the scientist out, he was fully awake now so Reno didn’t have to drag anyone along, unless someone didn’t want to cooperate. “Well I’ll see you later Cissnei…I hope you really are doing okay.” he said with a yawn again before heading into the ShinRa business…to take care of a few things before he departed for…anywhere but here.Words: 1036 Muse: AHHHHHHHHHHMAZING! ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei felt a devilish grin cover her face, no more hair ruffling for her! With that she realized that that she should have gave him a noogy before. Darn her short height and having to practically jump up just to reach his neck to put him in a headlock. But she had been successful and almost felt like dancing. Yet she contained her enthusiasm and put her hands on her hips, sticking her tongue out at him. For some odd reason when she did that she remembered Shotgun of the Turks from years before. Maybe because Shotgun had always stuck her tongue out at Rod to irritate him. She realized just how much taller he was from her then. Standing at a whopping 5'1 he was almost a foot taller then her, which made it hard to do the whole intimidating thing. It was almost like a secret weapon, as the bad guys always thought they'd have an easy time defeating her. Little did they know.
As he fixed his hair Cissnei ran a hand through hers, combing it out. Cissnei was very unlike Reno in the area of dress and grooming. While he never really cared about his clothing appearance, she had always been very firm about having her suit neat and clean. Yes she peeked up at him as he let his hair loose and tied it back into a ponytail. He had so much hair. His perfect hair da-...Cissnei laughed and then put a hand over her mouth. Of course, that aside she had to admit he basically did have perfect hair days, despite the spiky appearance. For a moment she wondered how long it had taken him to grow it out. All the years since she had been gone? How long had that been? 5? 6? longer? She would have asked him bu of course hat would probably lead to an hour long discussion about his hair.
Her entire life growing up she had thought of Reno as a ladies man, and with the wink she realized he was that. Adding that to the fact that she blushed every time he winked at her and you had just about the cutest couple ever. She was still standing with her hands on her hips but she had reverted back to her shy quiet self for the moment. Because of that Cissnei wasn't looking quite so sassy anymore. Why was it that every time he looked at her she felt all skittery and shy.
Thankfully the subject changed, however, and she could stop being so shy. But it wasn't necessarily a better subject because she couldn't help but be worried about him. It was her lot in life, to be worried about the other Turks. Though she tried to hide just how much she cared under a facade of calm indifference, underneath she was completely soft hearted about her 'family.' The cold exterior was only because of her background. Glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, Cissnei decided not to make a big issue of it, yet something was still off. No way to know what though, at least not yet, soon enough she would figure it out, only it wouldn't be on the happy terms. “Ok I'll just stick to thinking about the fact that we're both alive then.”
As she clambered into the helicopter she couldn't help but smile at Reno saying no paydocks. That was something that seemed to be somewhat of a legacy around ShinRa, Reno getting paydocks. It was actually quite funny, “Maybe, of course he could give you paydocks for not being able to keep up with me.” putting he headphones on her head again, she gave him a nod and a thumbs up, telling him she was ready. Glancing back at the man they had tied up in the background, she got an evil glare and he almost snarled at her. With an eyebrow raise Cissnei shook her head and turned back around. Fiesty one. She probably wouldn't be happy either though, if she were a hostage ready to be going to ShinRa for interrogation. Luckily they weren't going to have to deal with that part, it had been their job to simply get the man.
Reno taking a nap. Of course that was to be expected of him, but just the way he had said it. He hadn't been sleeping well? Reno always slept well. Actually she kinda thought he was odd in that way. Nothing bothered his sleep, not missions, not the possibility of loosing his life, nothing. With another raise of her eyebrow Cissnei reached over and touched Reno on the shoulder, narrowing her eyes slightly, studying his face before her eyes returned to normal size. “Ok Reno, you take a nap. I've got the paperwork for this one alright? The least I can do. You just get some sleep.” He even yawned then. She didn't say anything else, but something was wrong.
When they got back to ShinRa Cissnei jumped out and nodded as Reno said he'd see her later, yet she didn't say anything until he walked away. When he was out of earshot Cissnei sighed before whispering, “I hope your really doing okay as well...somehow I don't think so.” Shaking her head, Cissnei retrieved her Shuriken and walked after Reno, only she went toward Tseng's office. Time to check in and tell him what was going on. For some reason, Cissnei couldn't shake off that feeling of dread. Feelings of dread from the mission left over? Or something more?
