Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now. “That might not be a good idea. The sheep’s wool might just absorb water and make you sink faster.” Wasn’t that a helpful thought? Back to the sheep though it always seemed to go that way. Since the start of the day those sheep had been a very big subject for the two. “But I think you’ll be fine. I’ll be around so there’s nothing to worry about” Vanille smiled wide looking upon the tower that was toppled over some. Last she knew the tower stretched up far, it was built by the Fal’Cie and now…what had happened to it? Must’ve been pretty massive to topple something as great as that was in half, while examining the tower from where she was standing Vanille’s eyes wandered up to the part where the tower cut off and her attention went directly to a flying object, an animal perhaps? As it swirled around the top of the tower Vanille gasped recognizing it now that she got a better look at it. Getting up and Running off a few steps and stopping just to get a better view she turned back to Fate and started pointing at the thing. “Look! A Fal’Cie!” She said looking back at the Fal’Cie as it entered into the tower. Well wouldn’t that be a fun adventure? Not likely. Looking back at Fate about the idea of telling people he was from Cocoon, that probably wasn’t a good idea. “Well…we’ll see. Lets see if we find anyone when we get to Oerba first okay? I don’t know if everyone here has gotten over their fear of Cocoon people.” Vanille shrugged a bit deciding that their break was over for now. Perhaps one later when they actually needed it. “This tower…was built by the Fal’Cie…no one really knows why, but it used to be so tall…Now its just like everything else. In ruins.” It was hard to imagine something of natural causes making this great structure topple over like that. It must’ve happened during the war of transgression or something. “Now it looks to be the home of that Fal’Cie…hopefully it’s a peaceful Fal’Cie…” She said with a heavy sigh. “I don’t think it’s haunted, though there may be some creatures or workers in there…you never know. It’s been so long…guess we’ll just have to find out for ourselves huh?” She squeaked with a smile heading off around the palisades towards the tower’s entrance. “This is fun…”

"But they're evil. All evil beings float in water," Fate nodded, "It's a scientific fact actually. "All evil beings, especially cute small sheep, can float in water." There was nothing to worry about... Unless Vanille couldn't swim or there was actually a huge monster in the water that had a taste for Fate. But whatever, it was too late to turn back now and even if he could he would not. "I'm not worry... Okay, i'm not worried much. Besides, i'm too pretty to get hurt," He said, "Also I've been told mutiple times that i'm so annoying and stubborn that I could survive just about anything."
A Falcie!? Of course Fate's eyes found what Vanille was pointing at. That's.... a Falcie... Looks like a GF... 'Cept bigger. Ya wanna go catch it!? .... It was a joke. Laugh. This Falcie looked amazing to say the least. Swirling around the tower as if nothing else mattered. Well, nothing else did matter to it is what Fate thought. The only question Fate had was how would he get to the Falcie so that he could question it, so that he could help Vanille. "That's a Falcie... This may sound dumb, but he or she or whatever isn't going to get mad that you're here on Pulse instead of Cocoon, completing your focus?"
Fate did pause for a moment before letting out a deep sigh. He had been trying to sway away from the whole focus conversation, but somehow he ruined that. He was just concerned that the Falcie might do something seeing Vanille here. She had a job that was forced upon her by these Falcie and she wasn't doing it. "Sorry..." He rubbed his neck. It was best for the boy to keep his mouth shut for the time being. Anything that was bound to come out wouldn't have sat well with Vanille. He simply smiled and followed her toward the tower's entrance. Her idea of fun is traveling through a tower with a huge monster! Oh, I apologize... I meant FALCIE!!! It looks like it can swallow us all at once!

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille just giggled as they had gone on about the ‘evil’ sheep and their ability to float or not. “Okay okay, if it’s a proven fact then I believe you.” She smiled happily as they continued to make their way towards the entrance of the tower. The cliffs near the tower were pretty high and were under the watch of flying pulse creatures, screeching and squawking as they looked at the new comers to this part of the land. Vanille just took in a few deep breaths as they walked, hoping none of these creatures swooped down for some sort of battle. That wouldn’t be fun, but she had doubt that they would get hurt or anything. Her and Fate could take on these creatures easily, especially with the power of magic that Vanille had and Fate’s ability to control electricity. “Well, as long as you are okay, then I have nothing to worry about.” Vanille shrugged a bit as the entrance to the tower became visible. Now back onto the topic of the Fal’Cie. Honestly, Vanille had no idea what the Fal’Cie thought anymore, some of them talked, some didn’t it was hard to tell what they wanted from people anymore. “Um. I don’t think it’ll be mad…it might be more mad that we’re about to step into its home rather than me completing my Focus.” That didn’t sound too positive. “But we’ll make it through…Some of the pulse Fal’Cie just don’t seem to interact with humans or anything…unlike the Fal’Cie that had branded Fang and I.” Anima…the stupid Fal’Cie who picked her and Fang had been located around Oerba but was moved by a Cocoon Fal’Cie…it was all part of a scheme that Vanille had no idea about right now… An Apology? Oh…for bringing up the L’Cie thing. Oh well. It was bound to happen anyway. Besides, right about now it didn’t bother her anymore. “Oh. It’s okay. It doesn’t bother me as much right now…It’s something I’ve gotten used to.” Vanille shrugged a bit stepping into the doorway and all the light just seemed to disappear. It was very dark in this tower, only a few blueish lights on the floor and some ahead to light the way. Climbing through the tower would be…interesting. Vanille had never been in this tower before, just around it and such but at the way it looked it would be the quickest way to Oerba. “ You doing okay?” She asked stopping and turning to look at Fate. Was this journey okay with him? Did he really believe going to Oerba would help? “if you ever need to rest or something just tell me okay? I don’t want to kill you from lack of sleep or something…I’d feel bad.” She added a small smile at the end of that as a joke.

"Alright, now if only I can get the rest of the world to believe me." He smiled. It was always nice to see Vanille smile. Fate was actually doing something right. He did have that strange ability to make his friends laugh and smile so he guessed it didn't come as a surprise. All the creatures flying around didn't bother Fate at all. So far none of the creatures had bother them besides those sheep. But they weren't a threat at all. They would make a nice pair of shoes or a cool coat... Kiddin'! I like the lil' critters.
Fate nodded slightly. Angry Falcie or not, going through the tower was the quickest way. Worst come to worst they could always try to out run it, right? Maybe Fate could get branded by this Falcie... Unless only one Falcie could do the branding. Either way, it wouldn't have hurt to try... It could totally just kill us, ya know instead of brandin' us... Just puttin' that out there boss. "Of course we're going to make it through! Tch! You're with the Great Fate!" He smiled, "Towers with giant Pulse Falcie are no match for the Great Fate's awesomeness."
Still, it wasn't something she should be getting use to. She should have to get use to it. Wouldn't it have been easier for the Falcie just to pick someone who was willing to do the focus? It would save them much more time. As they entered the tower and into the dark lightings Fate moved closer to Vanille. He wasn't scared. No, he was more cautious and just wanted to get close to her. "I'm perfectly fine captain. I explore dark towers during my free time a lot," He said jokingly, "This is the first tower that belongs to a Falcie though, but don't worry about me. If it comes down to it, I can sleep while i'm walking. You'll just have to keep me walking in the right direction."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now. “Well good luck with that…at least you got one person on your side.” Vanille grinned as they kept going on their journey. Whatever Fate was doing to keep her happy…well, more props to him, he had better keep it up. It was a miracle job to keep someone who was stuck in such a horrible position happy for this long. Especially someone like Vanille, yes she was one to hide her emotions away and show off even the fakest of fake smiles, but still, it hid everything, but with all these jokes and happiness floating around her it was effortless to put on a happy face…pure effortless. “Fate…do me a favor? No matter what happens on this journey…” It started to sound like another bad topic, but no, it was rather good, hopefully Vanille could get it all out before anything exciting…or dangerous happened. “…Don’t ever change. You’re fantastic and wonderful and if I had more giant words to use that sounded great, oh and you’re great too, well just don’t change.” She smiled at him as the inside of the tower was still dark, but enough light was around for them to see. Giant towers and Fal’Cie no match for the great Fate? If only things like that were possible. Vanille’s mind only raced to an image of Fate taking on a Fal’Cie…no one dared taking on a Fal’Cie. Unless it was your focus, like hers was. Becoming Ragnarok and destroying the Fal’Cie Orphan…thus destroying all of Cocoon’s fal’Cie in the process. “Well I feel more than safe then.” She said with a slight sigh as she walked over and wrapped her arm around one of Fates arms and just walked beside him. “Okay Great Fate…you ready to proceed up the tower?” Vanille asked in high pitched cheery tone, feeling the excitement of Oerba being only a little while away. They would surely make it by nightfall, going through this tower wouldn’t take that long would it? “Oh no no no. No sleep walking for the Great Fate…if you’ve explored so many dark towers before then this should be nothing, especially when you’ve got such a pretty girl on your arm.” She smiled away as the elevator that rolled from tier to tier rolled down to the base of the tower, opening up and waiting to go. “and up we go…” That much closer to Oerba. Vanille was almost jumping for joy at how close they would be. At the top of this tower…Oerba would be in view and she just couldn’t wait to see how the village looked, all flowers and sunshine…but she didn’t know the truth that awaited her. Soon all her hope would be lost…

"Not just any person... THE MAGNIFICENT VANILLE!!!" Well, that was a mouthful and maybe cheesy... Extremely cheesy. True, but that never stopped him before. And it definitely wasn't going to stop him now since it seemed to make Vanille happy. "We could totally have our own superhero show. The Magnificent Vanille and Great Fate! Maybe the sheep could be our sidekicks," He paused for a moment, "I refuse to wear some idiotic outfit though wo that marks the orange fruit suit off the list."
But then it would seem like Vanille got serious all of a suddenly. If she was going to ask him to destroy her if she became a Cie'th he would give her the same answer he gave her the first time; no. He wasn't going to do anything like that at all. But all she said was for him to never change. Well, that was a relief. A huge smile was plastered across the boy's face. Never changing would be an easy task... Hopefully. It was something Fate could do though. "Well, I don't like wearing the same clothes everyday, but for you I guess I won't change," Fate shrugged, "I draw the line there. I must bathe every now and then so that I can stay fresh and smelling good."
"...I'll try not to change. I like being awesome so I don't think it'll be that hard not to change." Now it was time to get through this tower and to Oerba. Would Vanille's people welcome him? I betcha they're all like Fang except worst. Yeah, Fate truly didn't think about that. He was a dead man! He had a better chance of facing one of those Fal'Cie by himself. "Ready as I'll ever be..." He said, eyeing the strange statues. He wasn't even going to ask, he just kept walking.
"I usually travel through the towers with my eyes closed, shivering with fear. But since there's such a pretty girl here I guess I have no choice not to 'sleep walk'." Then the elevator came down from the tier. This was normal? Vanille didn't seem freaked out by it. "Alright! Traveling in a weird elevator in a strange tower... Dreams do come true." He entered the elevator and looked around. This had to be the worst elevator ever! The sides were completely open so anything could fly in and grab them or they just fall off. "So... no elevator music?"

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille sighed lightly. ‘The Magnificent Vanille’ It sure didn’t rhyme like ‘The great Fate’ but it still made her feel somewhat better, having a ‘title’ if that’s what you wanted to call it. Being called magnificent was a compliment, and she would surely take it to the heart. She just always smiled and played along with whatever joke Fate was putting out. “I still wanna see that orange costume…” Vanille chimed happily just imagining the thought. It was funny but it was something she really wanted to see rather than just imagine. Maybe someday…or maybe not. It all depended on what happened here on Gran Pulse…if anything was figured out about her focus and how to get rid of her brand. If that all happened, then the possibilities for the future were endless. When Vanille told Fate not to change, she knew he got what she meant. She just giggled a bit as his comments and kept on walking. “Well you can change clothes and stuff, but your personality and the way you are…don’t change. That’s all I ask of you.” It was true, Fate was perfect just the way he was and if she had met him and he was any bit different, well it just wouldn’t be the same. She loved the joking and messing around, it was a way to keep her mind off certain things, and he was just great at being cheerful and putting a smile on her face. All good things to keep around, and very good qualities in a person…so he couldn’t change, he just couldn’t. “Well I like you being awesome too, so just keep at it.”When the elevator came down and Vanille walked in she looked around. It looked okay, safe enough to travel through. “Well hopefully we can get through this place pretty quick…the silence and darkness isn’t very pleasant.” She admitted sheepishly with a small giggle and she pushed a lever for the elevator to move, the sides of the circular elevator closed off and it started to lift up, Vanille didn’t know how long this would take, but hopefully not very long, if this elevator moved up quick enough. “Nope, no elevator music. But if you listen carefully…you can hear some chimes from the elevator moving.” She said in a whisper listening to the sounds of tiny metal bells or something, like a wind chime almost. The elevator came to a sudden stop, making Vanille lose her balance some but she was okay, just a jerky stop. The sides of the elevator opened on the 6th Tier of the tower. The tier above this one, or below the Apex was broken off from the elevator path. Guess they had to find another way up. “Um...think we should take a look around?” They could either exit left, or right…thing was, what was waiting ahead? Dangerous creatures probably. “There’s got to be some way to get to the top….”

"Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the orange costume," He laughed slightly, "You can see it... I just want be in it." Well, that was a lie. He would surely were the costume to make Vanille happy. He was just too nice of a guy. We call 'em pushovers were i'm from.
"Okay, you're going to make me blush if you keep talking this way." No one has ever told Fate that he was awesome and that he shouldn't change. Truthfully, he had always thought that he should change. He needed to be more serious, right? Vanille loved it and Fate loved it... He was sure that Sonuske loved it too despite his constant complaining. Sonuske would have been left the boy's side if that was the case. "I'll definitely keep it that way."
"I'm sure if you smile it would brighten this place up--Okay, that's the last cheesy remark... Until we get out of this place." Fate could think of plenty words to describe this place; all of which weren't good. The statues were pretty cool, but the whole darkness just made them look scary. But Fate was happy that the elevator sides closed. Guess you don't have to worry about fallin' off or somethin'. Still, they couldn't see what was going on outside which was the case for most elevators, but this was in a creepy dark tower! "Yeah, the chimes are kinda freaking me out a tiny little bit... And how exactly are we suppose to sto--"
Suddenly, the elevator stopped and the sides had opened. "Guess it got tired of carrying us..." He looked around and as much as he wanted to brush Vanille's idea aside it was the only choice they had. "I should have opted for those wings then I could have flown us to the top, but I had to choose red electricity." He took a deep breath before walking out of the elevator first. What if this was that Fal'Cie's doing? "Think we'll run into some of our sheep buddies?"

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille giggled a bit lightly. “All right, I’ll take at least that…no need to dress up.” Though she knew she would somehow get him in that orange costume! He had to, it would be entertaining for her and it would provide A LOT of jokes to come up with, better to have something to fall back on in case the sheep-jokes died out a bit. “Well then you haven’t met any really great people then have you? Or they didn’t want to give you a giant ego, but that doesn’t bother someone like me.” She said clasping her hands together. The chiming sounds sped up to a fast rate, meaning the elevator moved quicker as it moved up through the different tiers. At the highest rate of the sounds and speed, the elevator finally slowed down quickly, almost like if someone slammed on the breaks of a car or something. “Thanks Fate…you sure know how to make a girl feel much better about herself…” She smiled as the sides had opened and the chiming completely stopped, ready for them to get off and head around this tier to find another way to the apex. “Really? I find the chimes quite relaxing…much better than the screams of PSICOM running after you…” Vanille shrugged stepping out carefully and placing her hands on her hips as she looked around with a long “Hmmm…” After looking down 2 different ways to go, Vanille started walking towards the closest room in this section of the tower. “Perhaps…this way?” She seemed a bit unsure, wondering what was ahead. Who knew? They’d find out soon enough. “I think the electricity was a good choice…don’t worry. We’ll be out of here in no time I’m sure of it.” Well…kind of sure. “I don’t think our sheep friends will be here….this isn’t exactly the right environment for them… “ She said finally holding to her first choice of continuing on and walking towards the first room once again. Hopefully this one had another elevator in it. But once turning the corner Vanille stopped and stared at a giant…GIANT Cei’th wandering and wobbling around the room. In the back of the room was a hallway to another room, she heard the sounds of chimes back that way, so this was really the way to go. How to get past this giant Cei’th? Fight it off? That would probably be dangerous seeing as it was twice the size of both Vanille and Fate. One smack and it could knock you out. Great. “Think we can sneak around him?” She said gesturing to the cei’th. “I don’t think there’s any other way to go that leads to the Apex….” What a comforting thought.

"I got a better idea! How about you were the orange costume?" He smiled. Now that was something Fate would pay to see. Vanille in an orange fruit costume... It would be so cute! "Yeah, those people are jerks. I really wanted a giant 'eagle' too," Fate said, "We could fly all over the world on his giant wings."
"Honestly, you should feel great about yourself. You're an amazing person." He smiled slightly. Honestly, he could say the same about Vanille. She made the boy feel way better about himself. The screams from the PSICOM soldiers... Yeah, Fate could see how that could be scary. But soldiers just didn't didn't seem all that scary compared to this place. "I could always sing along to the chimes," Fate shrugged, "But my singing voice makes little kids cry."
"I was kinda hoping that the sheep would appear and show us the way to the top." He shugged as he followed Vanille. So far they haven't had any trouble doing this little journey. It was clear that the only thing or people that took notice to them were the sheep and those PSICOM soldiers. Vanille then suddenly stopped after turning a corner. He peered in the room to see what it was she was looking at... What the hell is that!? How should I know? I can tell ya that it doesn't look friendly though.
What type of monster was this? Despite it's hugemogous size it looked to be somewhat humaniod. It was safe for the both to assume that it was a cie'th, it was what Vanille would become if they couldn't figure this whole thing out. It was once a person... But it did seem a little sluggish. "Sneaking may be the safest way..." He slowly walked forward trying to be as silent as possible.

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.All this conversation kept Vanille’s mind from running back to Oerba, though it was only a short ways away from here, she was too excited, but she needed to contain this excitement and focus on the matter at hand…her being in an orange costume. “Oh no no no, you’d make a much better fruit than me…besides, orange just isn’t my color.” She grinned though her outfit was accented in lots of orange, even her skirt, it was just a silly excuse to get out of dressing like a fruit. “Well, not every one’s wishes come true…only few, just be glad for what you’ve got now.” She said happily, using the same idea towards herself. If things went downhill from here, at least she had a good run, a good life, and wonderful people to surround herself with. It was worth it completely. “Heh, Amazing? I thought I was magnificent?” She said referring back to their awesome nick names of the great Fate and the magnificent Vanille. “Not that amazing isn’t a good compliment to take, because it is.” She added at the end before thinking back to the chimes and stuff. It was good to be…just Vanille around here, she could say what was on her mind, say whatever she wanted really without trying to hide who she was, like she was trying to do with the Cocoon people. “Well it’s a good thing I’m not a little kid then…sing all you want. I’m sure it’d make the place funner.”Walking on the tier to the rooms up ahead made Vanille worry some, the worst part was actually looking at the cei’th. It was like a punch in the chest of ‘this is what you’ll become! A mindless monster of destruction!’ What a lovely thought to think of right now. It was just a glimpse of her future at this rate. But for now, those feelings would have to be put aside, and now it was time to be sneaky, because Fate was right, sneaking was probably the safest way to go. “Okay…lets be sneaky” She whispered taking light, slow, and sneaky steps around the edge of the room, close to the wall and keeping her bright green eyes locked on the giant Cei’th. It didn’t seem to have good vision, it seemed to rely on its hearing to know where things were. As Vanille snuck around as quietly as she could, she heard her heals tap against the ground. It was the only sound really being made, and with the silence, it sounded loud. She tried putting most pressure on her toes as she walked but somehow the heals continued to click against the stone ground, which caught the cei’ths attention. Vanille then just burst into quick loudness as the cei’th advanced towards them. She grabbed Fate’s sleeve and ran towards the little door to the next room, the cei’th a few feet behind but after running through the stone door frame, the cei’th hit the wall and fall back over, wailing and flailing its limbs around wildly as they escaped the giant cei’th attempt at an attack. “So…sneaking isn’t exactly my fortay…”

Fate snickered lightly. Orange just wasn't her color... Right. Well, Fate was sure she would look good in just about anything. "Hey, it's only fair Vanille. I already wore the orange outfit so it'd be your turn next," He smiled, "But I'll be the only one to see it and I'll never make fun of you... much." He was only teasing. He would never make fun of Vanille to her face. He would wait until she turned her back. "I am glad, grateful actually... But it would have so cool to have a giant eagle!"
"Hehehe. Hey, it's not my fault that I can use so many great words to try to describe you. I can start making up some words too... Amagnifing!" He laughed, "Yeah, it does flow right, but it's catchy." Combining words was kind of fun. Fate did gave her a crazy look when she said she didn't mind if he sung. 'Parently she never heard ya sing... Go 'head if ya wanna run her away. It was best if the boy didn't sing at all. He had sad his singing chased away little kids. Sadly, for everyone else it made their ears bleed. "I'll save the singing for a raining day... Or for when you go deaf and can no longer hear me."
As Fate stared at the cie'th he couldn't help but to wonder what this human once look like. Seeing Vanille, it was hard to believe that there was a chance that she could change into that. As they started to work their way through the room Fate notice the tapping of Vanille's heels. It was a bit funny because it seemed like the beast didn't notice... Spoke to soon. Fate was grabbed by the sleeve as they ran through the door, escaping the cie'th. He stared back at the monster flailing and then back at Vanille, shaking his finger and head. "And I thought I was going to be the one that caused him to notice us," He said, "You know, he might just wanted a big hug... Or a giant eagle."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille nodded some with a slight giggle. “Fine, I suppose it’s only fair…but I still want a picture of you in the orange costume… I need proof to know you’ve actually worn it.” She said continuing to walk, swaying her arms side to side, letting her eyes wander around the crumpling architecture of the tower. It was really magnificent, the way things looked, at least they looked even better back in their prime, back before the war of transgression…before everything turned to ruins. “Just as long as you’re grateful that’s all that matters…I know I’m grateful for a lot of things…a lot of things I probably didn’t deserve.” She said that last part more to herself, but it was true, though she was happy for all the things she had in life, aside from the L’Cie thing, she had admit, she was lucky in some cases… “Amagnifiying? I like that word.” Vanille said with a wide smile as the thought of many words jumbled around in her head…about herself. There were some nice ones and some sad ones but never the less…there always came that one word. L’Cie. It was the only thing wrong with her life really. Just that one thing, if she could change anything, that would be it. Keeping herself and Fang from becoming L’Cie and being deceased by now like all the other Pulse warriors who fought in the war against Cocoon…it just wasn’t fair. “I’ll let you know when I can’t hear anymore…” All this joking around made her seem a bit at ease, but for now, they had to be quiet, going around that cei’th and all, which turned into a disaster. But none the less, they got away without so much as a scar on either of them. Vanille stood there, her arms behind her back and her foot fiddling against the stone ground as she smile sheepishly with a small blush. “What can I say? I can never NOT draw attention to myself…” It was a joke of course…of course anymore anything said with Fate was a joke, there needed a time to get serious…now she would probably do that since they were so close to the apex and so close to Oerba. “I don’t think it wanted a hug…more like it wanted to smack us down like the hand of god.” She said looking back at the wailing and flailing cei’th who struggled to get back to its feet. Better move before it actually gets up and goes after them, not that it wouldn’t just end up hitting the wall again. “Let’s keep moving.” She said softly looking towards another elevator just a few yards ahead. Walking forward into the new elevator Vanille sighed a bit as a giant smile crossed her face within the silence. This was the last tier they had to go through to get to the Apex…from there you could see Oerba. As the elevator closed and sealed itself it began to move, not quite as long as the other one had taken before, but long enough. Vanille could hardly contain herself. Once reaching the Apex Vanille skipped out happily. “We’re so close!” She said cheerfully skipping across the Apex floor before that Fal’Cie from before, that circled the tower, approached again, but this time it seemed very threatening towards the two, ready to attack or something! “The Fal’Cie…” Vanille said before her smile turned to a straight frown and she had her binding rod ready. “I’m done sneaking around these Fal’Cie!” She said slightly angry and ready to fight.

"Alright, I'll get you three pictures. You could put one on that binding rod thingy. Uh, the other two you can put anywhere... that no one will see." This place wouldn't be that bad if it had actually had lighting. You would think that the Fal'Cie would fix this place up, make it more pretty. Fate was grateful. He was even grateful for the experimenting that was done on him. Without the experimenting, he may not be able to control his abilities. The only thing Vanille didn't deserve was that Focus. "You deserve everything Vanille... Even a giant eagle."
She could easily try to complete her focus. She had no connection with the people of Cocoon. But Vanille would never do something like that. It shows how much of a good person she truly is. "I'm glad you like it because i'm sure I can't make anymore words as catchy as that one." He smile slightly. Running away from the cie'th seemed like it was going to be the most exciting thing that would occur today. "I use to be good at drawing attention to myself... But my pencil broke so I can no longer draw."
As Vanille said, they had to keep moving. Fate wanted to get to Oerba. he wanted to see Vanille's home and her people. Fate followed Vanille onto the new elevator. Reaching the top, Fate couldn't help, but to have a huge smile as Vanille skipped about. Fate couldn't wait to see how she would react when they finally make it to Oerba. He walked a few feet behind her but came to a stop when the Fal'Cie reappeared in front of them. This wasn't good at all.
Fate thought that they were just going to run, but it seemed that Vanille had another idea. "You're sure?" Fate unsheathed both of his blades as his eyes went from the purple to crimson. He wanted to give one these Fal'Cie a smackdown, but he didn't want Vanille to get hurt. He make the first move and draw the Fal'Cie's attention. He ran forward leaping into the air. He placed both blades in one single hand and with his free hand he took aim at the Fal'Cie. He snapped his fingers causing a bolt of electricity to be launched at the Fal'Cie.

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille simply shrugged, okay so pictures would work, although one day there would come a time when she got Fate to wear that orange costume…but for now she decided to drop the subject until that day came. “Heh, I’m glad you think so….” Though it wasn’t exactly what she believed, but oh well, they each had their own way of looking at things, Fate seeming to think that Vanille was some sort of beautiful saint who deserved everything in the world…and Vanille only saw herself as a tool and a monster for Cocoon’s destruction…which she was. Both. Putting Fang and Fate through these types of situations made her a monster, maybe not a shambling cei’th but a monster none the less. And a tool for the Fal’Cie…that’s all she was to them…that’s all humans were, disposable tools to do their dirty work. Continuing to walk around and wander towards the top Vanille just hummed to herself lightly as she listened to Fate continue to talk, for once she didn’t want to really talk, just listen, and now seemed to be a good time for that. She wasn’t feeling bad about anything for not talking, just wanting to collect her thoughts and not try to burst into a frenzy of emotions with her impatience of getting to Oerba. The top of the Apex seemed to be more intact, and much lighter thanks to the sun, it was nice to get out of that dark tower, and soon the smell of flowers and nature would be around them. Oerba was dead ahead. Slowing her skip down to a small stride Vanille still had her arms swinging at her sides as she let her eyes wander, taking in all the details, a lot of familiar marks and designs, like some of the ones in Oerba that she used to remember. The Fal’Cie. A royal pain in the butt since day one. Vanille gripped her binding rod tightly as her eyes narrowed, she wasn’t playing around anymore. “I’m positive.” She said firmly as Fate then went for the first shot, getting this Fal’Cie’s attention successfully. It wailed a bit after being struck with lightning and Vanille took her chance to debuff it, make it easier to take down, then beat the crap out of it. “Keep it occupied for a moment!” She said as the Fal’Cie did some sort of screech thing and it casted its own magic back at Fate, and Vanille…it was a multicasting spell which shot a few bolts of lightning in Vanille’s direction and water towards Fate. Apparently it had picked up on the lightning power coming from Fate. While this was still going on…magic spells and what not, Vanille had managed to deprotect, deshell, and imperil the giant Fal’Cie….now it was time to take this thing down and get to Oerba! There was no time to waste! “This’ll be easy!” She said with a smug smile before being casted upon with more magic, she was hit back with a burst of a firaga cast. But that sure didn’t slow her down. Vanille got right back up to her feet ready to go once again….
