Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno just grinned, he was done joking for awhile, well that was unless he had a good moment to, like it was just too good to resist. That usually happened with Reno though, he had such a sharp wit that almost any joke he made he never really thought it through at first, it just came out and then he would process it in his mind, thankfully most things like that were funny, at least according to Cissnei and her giggling. He just nodded a bit to confirm his idea about the pet rock, it would work. Rude wouldn’t have to worry about feeding it and stuff, and it couldn’t die or anything, he was sure to appreciate it. Though the wig idea was so much better. Really confused at himself and his own actions right now, Reno wondered why he was so…calm and less hyper as he usually was. He just wasn’t in a hyper-active joking mood for some reason. It was just a good moment to shut up and think. But a few comments back would be good, no need to just ignore Cissnei and worry about his own messed up self. “I highly doubt Rude would lay one hand on you…he probably wouldn’t ever suspect you, because you’re well…Cissnei! He might give you a famous ‘Rude Glare’ or scowl if you’re lucky. I’ll take the beating just to get a good picture of him in a wig…blackmail purposes you know?” That evil diabolical smile returned to his face as his mind quickly switched courses back to a plotting state. Cissnei seemed to be too distracted by something to notice the pink that had rose to Reno’s cheeks. Thankgod. He took in a deep breath and soon he was all good again. Just Reno, that’s all he needed to be right now, he needed to play it cool and to control his crazy emotions right now. It sounded weird to him as he thought about all this on the inside, but it surely helped him on the outside. Keeping his cool and just staying…mellow, that was the way to go right now. And now…well now it was time to get his head straightened out before going into fighting mode, no need to get distracted and let Cissnei smack him down. That would be embarrassing. In the gym it was quiet and very comfortable. With his goggles tossed to the side Reno had done his pushups and stopped for a minute. Resting one knee against the mat below him he raised his head and stared forward and the blank wall ahead of him. His mind so clustered and his muscles getting tense with all the tension rising from his confusing arguing thoughts. He had to think of a way to get all this out, without actually telling it to Cissnei and just making a fool of himself. “That’s all she’ll ever see me as…” He whispered to himself looking down at the mat again. “A fool…” With a few deep breaths Reno started back on his pushups once again, not going quite as slow anymore, maybe working himself to death these next few days would do some good. Being too worn out to think of anything or worry about any sappy emotions he might have in store. This was the perfect place to be if you didn’t know what to do…beat it all out. With each push against the ground it felt as if gravity were getting heavier and heavier down on his back and he could surely feel it in his arm muscles. Why was he taking this all out on himself? I mean physically hurting yourself wasn’t going to make anything go away, just add more onto it, he was sure to feel sore tomorrow already. With his eyes fixed on the mat below him as he continued pushups, Reno definitely didn’t hear Cissnei come in, which was probably a good thing seeing as she was just staring at him like a teenage girl once again. The thing that actually got his attention was the slam of the door. It made his eyes widen a bit and he pushed against the ground balancing himself back to his feet as he looked over at the door. It was only Cissnei. ONLY Cissnei…No, it was great that she had arrived but given Reno a few minutes longer and he might’ve just exploded on just about anyone. Reno just looked at Cissnei as she stated the obvious, she was late but it really didn’t bother him. Perhaps he should’ve given her more time. It was quite a walk around the ShinRa building. “Ah it’s cool…I was beginning to think you were going to bail on me…” He grinned rubbing the back of his head some almost wishing she had bailed on him, just to give him some sort of motivation to sort these thoughts. “Oh on the contrary. I’m teaching you remember? I’d be nice to me. I could easily take you out Ciss….no offence.” He said with a slight shrug before heaving out a deep breath from all the pushups he just did. “So I figure we should work on some offense today…” he started waiting to see her expression, which was a bit…pink? Blushing…that he had caught. But why? Words: 996 Muse: Pretty great! Notes: It's not as long, but still, I LOVES IT!

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." She stood there, looking at him and suddenly realized she was blushing. Confound it all. She had had just enough time to regain what little dignity she had left before turning towards him. The look on her face was almost like a little kid who had gotten caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Thank god Reno hadn’t saw her staring at him like he was a two headed alien…he hadn’t…right?! She studied his face in horror, hoping he hadn’t caught her standing there with her mouth open breathing like a fish out of water.
Cissnei flustered?! It never happened, and now…well this was just ONE of the times it had happened in ONE day. She had problems. Major problems. And Reno wasn’t helping by looking at her like that either. Not that…he was looking at her weirdly or anything. He was just…looking at her. Which was normal for having a face to face conversation. So what was the big deal? She took in a deep breath, expanding her lungs before letting it out in a whoosh. Maybe you’re just being weird because you just got back to ShinRa and you aren’t used to it. Or maybe because it’s your first day actually TALKING to someone. I mean, you haven’t said such deep stuff to anyone since you left the Turks… Yeah…maybe that was it. Maybe she just wasn’t talking to anyone anymore, at least about anything serious.
She just clasped her hands in front of her and hoped she didn’t look TOO much like a retard. And she also hoped he hadn’t in any way caught her staring. The last person she needed to know knew she was staring at Reno would be….well Reno. She was back to stating the obvious in her mind. This was one of those times she wished she had…well a mom to talk to these things about. She didn’t know what the hell was going on with herself.
She felt guilt when Reno grinned and told her he had thought she had bailed. He probably wouldn’t be too happy if she admitted that she had indeed been thinking of doing just that. Maybe it was her pride, or her stubborn streak that had caused her to come instead of picking up the phone and telling him some excuse. “I’m tired” would have worked just fine. But no, she couldn’t take the easy route for once in her life, so here she was, with those darn butterflies in her stomach and a heart beat that could rival a race horses after it raced. Instead she managed to get something out. “Ahh no, I uh, wasn’t going to bail on you…”
Feeling like a fool, Cissnei calmed herself and took a few more steps toward him, eyes on the place he had been doing pushups. When he said he could take her out she knew he wasn’t joking. Crimson eyes turned once again toward him. “Weeeeellll, maybe all those pushups you were doing tired you out…?” She asked, almost hopefully, of course it wouldn’t make a difference, but still, a girl could hope couldn’t she? Then she realized that she had seen him do ‘all those pushups.’ Oh lord would he know she had been staring at him? She almost groaned as she thought of him knowing she had been staring. Until she got these weird feelings under control she sure as heck didn’t want Reno knowing that she had been staring at him in fascination. What would he think of her?
Probably the same as always. ‘Little Cissy.’ For the first time in her life she actually…resented being the little sis? Why was that anyway? She loved being Cissy. With extreme effort she shoved those feelings away. Almost as if wiping her slate clean. Yeah, if she just concentrated on other things...like…not Reno’s close proximity. Yeah! That was the key. So she just thought of learning martial arts and forgot about Reno. As best she could at any rate.
He was telling her they would work on some offense. “Ok you’re the boss, anything you say goes.” She said with a smile. Reaching up, she made sure her pony tail was still in place as she walked toward him, denying in her heart the pink that had been up on her cheeks. She was quite close now, ignoring the beating of her heart as she focused on her teacher. If she thought of him as only her teacher would the flutters go away? It was worth a shot anyway. She dropped into the typical Karate stance, over dramatic as she did so, just being silly. “What’dya think? Pretty awesome stance eh?”
She smiled and straitened back up, put the best authorities look on her face and glanced at him, “You know you could always kiss my feet and beg for mercy now.” But that couldn’t stop the mischievous grin from forming on her face. The thought made her want to laugh; Reno wouldn’t even kiss the president’s feet, so he surly wasn’t going to kiss hers. She just stood there with a stupid grin on her face waiting for him to give her instructions. The glitter of humor in her eyes was back, and had chased away –for now- the weird thoughts she kept having about family and babies, marriage and…Reno.
“So do you want me to warm up before we start?” Without him giving her the go ahead Cissnei leaned down and touched her toes, stretching her back. She did a series of other stretches before lifting her hands high and then letting them drop to her sides. “Ok I’m ready, so what do we do first?” She looked at him and waited for him to say something, to start teaching her. She was his puppe….ok not that far, but she would do what he said if she would become good at martial arts because of it.
Words: 1129 Muse: Good!!! Notes: I know!! OMG I can't wait for this to happen! <3

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno stood there looking at Cissnei, her expression a bit off, but nothing too weird that he should question her about. He just felt a little embarrassed that he had been doing angst pushups when she walked in. He let out a random nervous chuckle before wiping some of the small beads of sweat from his forehead, a nervous grin to match. He hadn’t noticed her staring a few moments ago, his eyes had been fixed on the mat below him, and he only noticed her after the door slammed, a little jumpy she seemed, and a pink tone to her cheeks. But Reno never put two and two together, at least for anything about him to make her blush, it was probably just out of embarrassment that she jumped or something, again Reno figured Cissnei would only see him as a fool, like the court jester of the Turks. Reno just waited for some sort of response from Cissnei, she seemed…flustered, bothered, or something along those lines, but she wasn’t going to bail on him and that was good enough for him. The muscles in his back relaxed some, less focus was on himself and more on Cissnei right now. “Well good, because if you would’ve bailed…then you’d be a step behind on training.” He said with a grin, knowing he wasn’t making great conversation, it was just there, some useless rambling to keep the silence and thoughts away, and as of now, he was succeeding. So Cissnei noticed Reno doing pushups? How long had she been standing there? Was she staring or something? Oh god the questions and thoughts came back to mind, a slight blush on his cheeks, barely noticeable but he felt the burn of it…maybe it was just his muscles relaxing now that Cissnei was here? Maybe, who knew anymore? “Ah, nah, I think I’m okay, though those pushups might give you an advantage…just this once though.” He said with a wink. A wink? Really? Wow, lame was all that could describe Reno right now, it seemed as if in his own mind that he were trying too hard. “Next time I’ll know just to jump straight into training, nothing to wear me down…be prepared.” A mischievous grin crossed his face then. Cissnei did a stance, Reno just stared for a moment, a smile across his face. “Pretty impressive Cissnei, but when I’m done, no one will be fazed by your stances.” He said with a really wide and very smug grin. Oh Reno was so cocky and over the top it was unreal. But for this type of matter, that was okay, he was going to teach her everything he knew. “You really shouldn’t have said that” He folded his arms across his chest raising an eyebrow and just the corner of his mouth curved up. Reno was definitely up to something. “I don’t think I’ll be the one begging for mercy Ciss.” He took a step towards her, and his stance changed, not to a regular posture but almost one about to leap. He grinned mischievously like before and then pounced forward to prove his point. With a fast swift movement Reno knocked Cissnei’s feet out from under her, lightly and not enough to hurt her. He knew pressure points and where hits hurt, he avoided all those. After that he watched her fall back for less than half a second before letting himself fall forward slightly quicker than her, he pressed one hand against the mat and had one around Cissnei’s back, keeping her from falling to the ground. He was just inches from her face as his smile grew bigger. “What was that you were saying about mercy?” (omg that should make her blush like a crazy person just imagine Reno >:]) After his little show-off moment, Reno set Cissnei back up before she stretched. “Yeah stretching’s probably a good idea…after that we can work on some head on attacks, a few dodging moves to go with it…” He felt a little weird after that move he just made, almost making Cissnei hit the ground like that, but it was out of…Reno’s usual show-offy self, suppose he was trying to impress her, which hopefully he was doing a good job, at this rate, something was sure to slip out. Just…not this very moment. Words: 842 Muse: MAGNIFICENT! Notes: I know its alot shorter but its my favorite post yet. Idk why but its so adorable! Reno being all manly and show-offy <3

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." She had no idea and no way of knowing where Reno’s thoughts were at the moment. Had she known he thought her thinking of him was a fool she would have quickly –Though shyly- told him that he was wrong. That she thought much more of him then simply a fool. But of course she had no idea what he was thinking, which was probably for the better since she wasn’t exactly up to spewing out her emotions. Especially since she didn’t know WHAT she thought of Reno. Her mind and thinking was muddled and she wished only that she knew exactly what she thought. Easier said then done, especially with how confused she was right at the moment.
If she’d bailed they would be a step behind on more then one thing, but Cissnei was to confused to do anything except nod and attempt to smile, “Can’t have me behind now can we?” Had she come to maybe straiten out her…little attraction? Maybe by being close to him she would realize that what her body was telling her was false. She did not, was not, and could not like Reno! Yes, maybe it was by telling herself that that she was here now. Probably a bad choice because she felt even more odd and the butterflies in her stomach only intensified.
When he winked at her Cissnei wondered why her knees went slightly weaker. God why had he had to wink? She thought of everything bad to call him, ‘Inconsiderate, pompous, egotistical….MAN!’ she told herself that in her mind, but at the same time, ‘Stop lying Reno isn’t like that.’ She really hated herself and her foolish thoughts at times like these. Resisting the want to roll her eyes Cissnei just arched her eyebrow. “Oh we’ll see if it’s just this once.” Then without thinking she closed her eye in a very pronounced wink back. Shocking herself in the process. Had she just winked back at…? Oh no. Blame the ice cream! Obviously something had been put in it to make her think crazy.
Next time. She shouldn’t have come this time, except that Reno was like her brother! She couldn’t back out and hurt his feelings. Plus he had been nice enough to offer to teach her. Why did it have to be Reno that was making her feel so weird? Anyone else she could have just been mean to, or brushed them off and been done with it, but she wouldn’t, couldn’t, do that to the person who had been if not her best friend, one of her best friends for as long as she could remember.
She put her hands on her hips, effectively forgetting about her emotions as Reno said that he wouldn’t be the one begging for mercy. Narrowing her eyes, she looked every inch the tomboy who could kick most people’s butts and still look good doing it. There was no backing down in her glare, only a ‘come and get it’ kind of look. To bad she was dealing with a guy she knew could kick her butt. Sadly she was way too concentrated on glaring him down to realize he was going to pounce on her. Plus he moved so fast she could barely register he was coming toward her before he was right there.
She had time to gasp slightly as she felt her feet being knocked out from under her. Only having time to curl her head up so not to hit it when she fell and to brace herself, closing her eyes tightly and turned halfway so the fall wouldn’t be so severe. Her eyes were closed tightly and she held her breath for the impact that didn’t come. "Reno Sincla-" She started to chew him out before she pried open her eyes and registered that Reno’s own face was only inches from her own. She quickly stopped midway through with what she was going to say. She didn’t say anything else as she realized that he could have let her fall but didn’t. At the same time she noticed his face very close to her own she also noticed that he had a hand around her back, making it so she wouldn’t fall. She let out the breath she had been holding very slowly before wetting her lips nervously.
She blushed fiercely as she realized just what it must look like with him holding onto her, face pressed close to hers. The glare, tomboy, hands on hips look had all but disappeared as she contemplated exactly what had just happened. Then his grin widened and he spoke. How dare he look so boyishly handsome as he made her look like a fool?! (lol <3) She opened her mouth to say something but snapped it shut when she couldn’t think of anything to say. Finally she cleared her throat, “I was…um…saying…er…you should beg for…uh…mercy?” Truth was she had entirely forgotten what she had said. The look on her face was sheepish. Though she had been kidding about the whole beg for mercy, she was obviously the one who should be begging for mercy for real. Not that she would, because Reno obviously wouldn’t hurt her.
She was just about to suggest he set her up when he did just that. She was still blushing furiously while she did her stretches, shaking lightly in the hands. Not so much because she had just effortlessly been knocked off her feet, but because when she had opened her eyes Reno’s face had been so close to her own. She hoped the rest of the night wouldn’t go to odd, she didn’t know if she could handle another open eyes to Reno’s face so close to her own episode. Might just make her go crazy. “Yeah, I’m definitely ready to learn some dodging moves…” She said somewhat soft, though she tried to laugh, it came out more of a choke. She walked up to him, hoping the blush had gone away, “Ok I’m ready to learn…Coach…” She said slowly, forgetting that she had told him before she would never call him coach.
Words: 1158 Muse: AWESOME! Notes: omg I loved your post! (pst she called him coach rofl)

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno just kept a small smile on his face. He was so…scatter brained right now. It seemed confusion just clouded the air right now for both of these Turks. It was almost annoying not knowing what you were feeling or what you wanted to say. It was like…someone wouldn’t let you, and that someone was yourself, holding you back from knowing what was going on, making you learn all of this the hard way. Why did life have to be so difficult? Just to irritate people probably. “Yeah, imagine this. I teach you something today, tomorrow we go on a mission and you know that new move and it is the difference between…say someone getting hurt or not? I’m a lifesaver.” Oh the ego. Why a wink? Was that not just a movie star thing? Doesn’t the handsome drop dead gorgeous male hero of any movie just…wink? Trying to show off the charming good looks? Well, Reno figured he’d better lay off, it’s not like he was ‘super star’ material right here. “I promise you, it’s just this time…if even then…I could totally take you. I’m sure I could take Rude too…if I ever dared to put my life in that much danger…let’s not EVER test that shall we?” He said folding his arms across his chest and figuring out how to transition this chatter to battle and teaching. Maybe with a little silence Reno could clear his mind. Once this training got underway Reno would let Cissnei practice and while she did that he’d do his own thing before testing to see if she got the move right or not then call it a day. ‘Just remember…little sister Cissy…LITTLE SISTER CISSY.’ The little voice in his head commanded to him. If Reno could figure out some way to forget all of these newfound emotions, well that complicated life he complained about to himself would be mostly gone. This sort of thing was worse than work! Reno wasn’t necessarily a ‘ladies man,’ he didn’t really have experience in this field. It was new to him and all the information he had on what to do came from the media…all lies. Hopefully he wasn’t dumb enough to blurt something out or do something incredibly stupid, though it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he did. Oh it was so on. Cissnei didn’t look to convinced when Reno said he wouldn’t be begging for mercy. Oh and evilest of grins crossed Reno’s face before his little stunt, literally sweaping Cissnei off her feet, though not in your typical fairytale situation. She wasn’t some princess, a damsel in distress, and Reno was far from your stereotypical prince, or even a hero. Though now there was a time Reno wanted a time where he could save Cissnei, win the heart of the girl by saving her life…show her the lengths you were willing to go to keep her safe. Knowing Reno’s luck that day would NEVER come. Cissnei sure didn’t see that one coming! The way she was about to rip Reno to shreds for his little stunt was almost priceless, it was a great deal of effort for Reno not to burst out laughing right then and there. His grin just got wider and it twitched at the corners as he held in that laugh wanting to get out so bad. Oh the blush that rushed to Cissnei’s cheeks was the best result he could get. It meant something, it had to mean something. She wouldn’t just blush for nothing if Reno just about let her fall to her face. Something was there…Reno was still a little oblivious to it, but now was his time to say something, or at least after this mini lesson was over. Yeah, he knew exactly what to say, he’d just have to play it cool. “Look before you leap Ciss. Once you surpass the teacher…well then maybe I will beg for mercy.” Reno said very confidently, that Ego of his probably doubled right there. So she was ready to learn, that was good. Finally time to get on with this lesson. The faster this went the sooner Reno could talk to Cissnei in a non-teaching way. He wanted to ask her out to dinner or something nice like that…but he’d have to be more clever if she actually said yes. Rejection never really flowed through his mind…at least not yet. “Alright…evasion is pretty easy, we can start with that...”WHAT? Cissnei called him Coach? Reno’s face blanked out a bit. “I thought you said you would NEVER call me coach.” After a thought or two that smug smile returned to his face as he waved off his last sentence. “Never mind…back to evasion.” Getting in a battle stance, almost offensive, he kept balanced on both feet. “Make sure you bounce your weight back and forth to the balls of your feet, that way you can bolt in either direction quickly. Remember if it’s a lower attack to try and jump up out of the way, if it’s a higher attack…duck down, really very easy…” He said straightening up to normal posture. “You want to try a bit? Just so I can see what we need to actually work on…” Words: 1010 Muse: Excellent! Notes: I have the CUTEST idea!!!!! Next time I see u in the cbox...im totally spilling this idea. its too cute!

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Oh how his ego kept on coming and coming. Still she had to smile at his ridiculous thought that from one day of lessons her life would get saved from a bad guy. She hated to burst his bubble, but she couldn’t help herself. “Reno I’m pretty sure I would live without the help. I mean, I have survived years while being a Turk.” No on…no one was going to say she was weak. Heck no, Cissnei didn’t have a problem with voicing her opinions, and her opinion now was he thought her altogether too weak. She had been only half teasing, and would have been serious had she not known he was teasing her. Good thing she knew he was teasing her or she would give him a piece of her mind.
It was then Cissy remembered she couldn’t remember the last time anyone had winked at her. How long had it been since she had been around people that she enjoyed. And heaven only knew how much she enjoyed Reno’s company. Even she wouldn’t admit how much she enjoyed it. To bad he had to ruin it by telling her how much stronger he was. Oh lord but he was full of it. She decided she had to show him he wasn’t the weakling he painted her out to be. And maybe she could show him she wasn’t a complete retard either. She hadn’t been making that clear with her staring and open mouthed drooling at him. She was getting as bad as fan girls. She almost groaned at that, how dare her stupid mind betray her like that?! She started smiling when he hastily said that they should never test that theory. “I don’t blame you; I wouldn’t want a mad Rude kicking my butt either.”
She looked up at his eyes again found herself staring once again. Why hadn’t she ever noticed the color of Reno’s eyes before? They were such nice eyes, greenish blue. She found herself smiling and wishing she had eyes like that. Hers were so boring and brown, if she had blue or green eyes she would have liked it so much better! They weren’t as pretty as the mako eyes were of SOLDIER, but they had a green hue that was very different. Keep it together! Don’t you realize its RENO! He’s…he’s… She conveniently lost her thoughts when she realized she had been staring yet again.
After his show of ability to overpower her Cissnei stood there, glaring at Reno while blushing at the same time. Darn him for pulling the stung while she hadn’t been ready. That’s what she told herself though she knew he could have probably done it even if she had been ready. And THAT was a humbling thought. Better play it safe and always watch to see what he was going to do. She just narrowed her eyes in more of a mock glare as he went on about looking before she leapt and that nonsense.
Oh she would look alright. Reno wouldn’t see her coming when she got really angry. Heaven help him. He talked about learning evasion. Oh good, but she wanted to learn how to kick people’s butts. Still she knew it was better to learn defense before she learned offence. When she realized she had called him coach she couldn’t believe it. “I…I didn’t call you coach!!!” Then a puzzled look crossed her face, “Did I?” Would she ever stop making a fool of herself?! If she ever stopped it would be a miracle. And why was she being so emotional? She was usually calm and in control, and she had enough sense to know she wasn’t like that right now.
She was too deep in thought to pull herself out for a moment, just standing there like a moron. If Reno didn’t stop doing…whatever he was doing to make her stare at him…So help me god! she thought to herself. To bad she had no idea what exactly he was doing. When he dropped down into his stance she was jarred out of her thoughts. Biting her bottom lip, she tried to concentrate exactly on what he was saying. It wasn’t easy, but she managed to accomplish it. Time to get her head out of the stupid clouds and actually learn something. Hard as it was to fathom with how preoccupied she was.
She nodded to show she understood, “balls of feet, bolt, jump up, duck down. Yup I think I’ve got it.” She said with a smile in his direction before she ran that through her head again. Pretty simple so far. Which was good considering how scatterbrained she was at the moment. “Ok let me see…” She trailed off and positioned herself with a slight bend in her knee, careful to keep the weight centered evenly between her two feet. She was altogether relaxed and confident in herself. Good thing she was actually quite light on her feet. She looked at him for approval, not quite sure what to do with her hands, she simply held them loosely in a way that would defend her upper body if attacked. She would be ready next time he attacked her, even if it killed her to be so. “How do I look so far?” She asked when she glanced up at him. Some might be awkward from being in a position they did not do often, but her entire body was relaxed. Probably looked like she had her guard down. Heck no, she’d be ready!
Good thing she wasn’t thinking about Reno again! Because if she was those stupid flutters would probably come back. Why did he make her get so….so….fluttery?! She demanded to herself for lack of a better word. True he was good looking, but a lot of guys were good looking and didn’t affect her in the slightest. Now his eyes though…the-GOD she was doing it again!! Clearing her brain wasn’t going to be easy, hopefully he hadn’t noticed her moment of not having any concentration. “Stupid, idiotic…” She mumbled to herself so low she doubted Reno heard. Or rather, hoped he hadn’t heard once she realized she was mumbling out loud what she was thinking. Oh man that would be embarrassing!
Words: 1193 Muse: Awesomeness Notes: Omg I can't wait for your idea!!! Oober cute!!

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno smirked a bit as Cissnei said she would survive without the help. Sure Reno knew that, I mean she was a Turk after all, she had to survive, it was her own fault if something happened. But luckily she was very good at what she did. “Oh I know that…but just imagine all the NEW possibilities for you! Oh the thousands of new things you can accomplish! Not to say that you aren’t a good Turk, because you are…much better than some people I’ve know.” He ended that part with a heavy cough and just sort of stared away as he was trying to keep these goofy thoughts in his head, rather than spilling them out now. What was Reno doing? I mean really? Was he being silly or stupid? Both probably, at least in his mind this was both silly and stupid. Winking and giving off charming smiles…he was trying too hard, but Cissnei didn’t seem to even notice at his efforts. No matter how much he told himself to stop acting like an idiot, he’d just turn around and do something to top everything he’d done before, how would this look to Cissnei? Did she know something was up? Or did she just assume Reno was naturally a weird person? He was probably just weird. “I don’t think I ever want to find out what that’d be like…Rude probably scares me more than anyone, at least if he were mad enough to you know…physically harm me into nothingness.” Reno said scratching the back of his head some, almost laughing nervously at the thought of Rude trying to rip Reno’s limps from his body…though Rude couldn’t get that mad at him could he? Oh no, the wig. That just might do it, and from this point on, Reno shied away from that idea. Reno felt Cissnei’s stare, was she looking at him funny? Trying to see what could be going on through that weird head of his? He just glanced away not wanting to see the odd expression she would give him, as most people gave him. But instead of looking at her to catch her staring at his eyes, Reno was just oblivious, counting the different ways in his head that she could see him as a complete weirdo. Oh the possibilities. His stunt had Cissnei blushing, it made him feel…well good. Maybe that was some sort of sign or something? Or maybe she was really REALLY angry with him. But it was Cissnei! She wouldn’t get mad over something like that, he knew her too well to know when she was pissed or just embarrassed. “Oh yes you did call me coach, but if you want, we can pretend it didn’t happen…” He said with a sly smile as he enjoyed her puzzlement. Seeing Cissnei so out of it was quite entertaining to Reno, so to keep this going on would be fun. Especially in training. If anything…it was cute to see her so…flustered and confused. Reno explained what to do and stared at Cissnei for a moment. She seemed to be…not paying too much attention, but she got the general gist of what he had said, good enough for him. “Remember to be alert as always…don’t necessarily think about what you have to do, just let it come to you…a split second decision…no one will ever see it coming.” He added onto his instructions as he watched her position herself like he said. Able to move quickly out of the line of fire would be the best thing for her, once all this simple evasion crap was done with, then they could work on the fun stuff…like offense! And even some stronger defense and stuff like that. But all this review and simple stuff had to come first. No need to jump right into the hard stuff, as Reno had stated to Cissnei before, look before you leap. While studying her posture and whatnot Reno nodded a bit. “It’s good, just remember to keep balanced. It’s easier to move in a direction quicker if you’re evenly balanced on both feet, but you’re doing just fine…this is the simple stuff really…” he said with a shrug before getting in his own stance. “Now it’s time to test it…I need to see what we need to work on…be ready...I’m not holding back this time.” He said with a chuckle in his voice and a smug ‘tough guy’ grin on his face as he rushed forward for an attack to see how well Cissnei would avoid it. Of course he would never hit her or anything like that, but she didn’t know that. He had to make it look as if he were really going to hurt her…to get her to move, otherwise he’d be labeled over as ‘Reno, the big marshmallow.’ Words: 919 Muse: FANTASTIC! (im in a giant posting mood!) Notes: AHHHH I CANT WAIT!!!!!!

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." She actually laughed when he enthusiastically told her about the new possibilities. Crimson eyes twinkled with humor, although that probably wasn’t funny. Especially when he coughed and turned his head like he was trying not to say something. She misinterpreted what he was thinking. She thought he was trying to be nice when he really thought her just a little girl who couldn’t take care of herself. Damn the times that Rude and him had to come to her rescue. She suddenly wished she would never be called Little Cissy again! She hated being the little sister, no one took her seriously darn it. After a few seconds she sighed and shrugged, knowing she could never hate her nickname. It was part of her, whether she liked being the little Cissy or not. With a sweet smile on her face she admitted to herself that she did indeed like the nickname. She couldn’t lie, and besides, the only people that called her that were Reno and Rude. Her two favorite people.
Cissnei was oblivious to Reno’s efforts. After all, he’s just being brotherly and welcoming me back to ShinRa… Was it good or bad that she had no idea when someone was making an effort to get her to notice him? Having no expertise in this, she was completely innocent when it came to flirting and attraction. She decided with a bit of stubbornness that she didn’t want him to be brotherly! But that meant…meant…meant…no. No! She wouldn’t let herself think about that. Besides Reno couldn’t…like her, could he? And there was no way she could like him so problem solved.
At least when he was talking she could get her mind on more important things. She smiled when Reno looked a little pale from thinking about Rude. She felt like teasing him for it, but then decided that she wouldn’t. Everyone was scared of Rude; even she had used to be. She wasn’t scared of him in the least now. He was too big of a teddy bear with her to be scared of him. But she could relate, so she took it easy on him. “Yeah, I think people are scared because he looks like this ninety nine percent of the time.” With that she put the biggest scowl she could accomplish on her face, spread her feet wide and tried to look menacing.
She then remembered the coach and looked horrified that she had called him that. She couldn’t have possibly…could she? He was just kidding right? She wouldn’t have ever called him…no, Reno wouldn’t lie to her! Wrinkling her nose, she nodded enthusiastically when he said they could pretend it didn’t happen. Jumping at the idea. “Yes! That’s what we’ll do, just pretend it didn’t happen!” She looked up to see the expression on his face and put her hands on her hips. “Are you just teasing me Reno Sinclair? Why do you look so…so…mischievous?” She finally settled on, because he did, look mischievous, like he was up to something big.
She shook her head and tried to concentrate on what he was telling her while glaring at him for looking quite so smug. It wasn’t an easy task. Still she managed to accomplish it for a few moments before she forgot to glare and settled on actually learning. She nodded to show him she was actually listening to what he was saying. She found his advice good. Anyone that tried to hard to think about it wasn’t going to do it very good. Look before you leap, look before you leap. He was taking it slow, which was probably good. Good thing she had patience.
“I see the wisdom in that.” She said softly when he told her to just balance and be ready. He might laugh at her but she was serious when she said it. When he got into a stance Cissy smiled at him, but she remained focused for once while she did look at him. He had indeed become the teacher, she the student. She nodded again to show he had her attention as he mentioned he wouldn’t hold back. Wait! He had been holding back before? Darn. Oh well, she could do this! She tensed slightly, but forced herself to relax as she carefully balanced on the balls of her feet and waited. Poised but relaxed, that was always what Reno looked like so she tried to match it. Besides she had been in enough tough positions to be quite good at being relaxed while you waited for the strike against you.
Then it happened, he rushed her. In the second she had to move, she calculated what attack he was going to use and that he was aiming for her lower half to force her down towards the ground. Of course it was only a rough estimate, since he probably was going to do something completely different. In that same second she moved with amazing speed for someone not used to martial arts. She was however, more skilled with dodging. Because she had been balanced she simply pivoted on her right foot before jumping in that direction, tucking her shoulder in she rolled once before she righted herself. Now behind him, though he had probably turned to meet her. Still he would have had to turn all the way around, thus giving her a moment to get to her feet and settle herself. She was on her hands and was balanced on one knee with the other weight balanced on her toes as she remained there, looking slightly like a cat that was going to jump. For a moment she thought about jumping up and trying to go offence on him, then decided against it. She didn’t know enough offence to really make it effective. Instead she jumped to her feet, immediately telling herself to drop down, bend her knees and put her weight on the balls of her feet, again ready. Of course Reno had probably taken it easy on her, but she figured she had done pretty well, at least for a beginner.

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Oh so these new possibilities were funny were they? Well the day that Cissnei wished she had all the talent that Reno had, then we’ll see who’s laughing…though that day probably would NEVER come. But Reno just kept up with it, it was something to talk and joke about, to keep both of their minds distracted from other things. They needed to let loose with this whole training thing, it would never work out of it you were distracted to the point where you couldn’t focus…thus getting your butt kicked. So, on that lovely note, Reno just cleared his mind and focused on the matter at hand. Showing Cissnei up! Er…training Cissnei. Reno watched at Cissnei imitated Rude’s scowl almost perfectly. “Wow Ciss, I didn’t know you had that type of scary in you…I mean, striking fear into the hearts of millions is one thing, but when you add a Rude scowl…well you win.” He said with a grin and shrug as he kept his own goofy smile going instead trying out his own imitation of Rude, just because knowing his luck he’d imitate his friend, and Rude would walk in or walk by, thus Reno getting his butt kicked. Why did everything come back to Reno getting the crap kicked out of him? It was started to reoccur a lot these days. Maybe laying off the pranks would benefit him. “You know what…you might be scarier than Rude when you do that.” He chuckled a bit getting distracted from training once again. But that was okay, I mean, bonding time was good. And anyone who knew Reno knew there was always going to be joking around no matter what he did, unless it was a mission and a very important one for that matter. So of course, delays were expected from the red head. Oh Coach! Reno’s grin just grew as he looked at Cissnei’s expression, it was absolutely priceless. If he had a camera right here, right now, he’d be taking photos for entertainment, to think back on moments like this and just have a good laugh. “Yep, we’ll forget about it. I won’t even mention it to Rude or anything…although I can’t promise anything if it just so happens to ‘slip’ out.” His smile turned smug and mischievous. “Me? Tease you? Now what would ever give you that idea? I don’t do that sort of thing, you know that.” Obviously sarcasm. “I look mischievous? Oh, well then that’s kinda bad for you…it means Im plotting….see these lessons will come to good use! I promise you that!” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders and going back to his smugness. Reno…and wisdom? Do those words belong in the same sentence in a positive way? No probably not. “Well thanks, that’s the first time anything I’ve said has been taken as ‘wise’, though I understand why.” He glanced away for a few long seconds, his mind starting to return to earlier thoughts of him being a goofball and Cissnei being…well out of his league. She was a girl who deserved the best, and Reno…well that’s just what he thought of himself…not good enough. But there was no sense in not trying was there? Miracles happen every once in awhile…you never know what’s going to come around. Now for the attack! Reno rushed forward and Cissnei seemed to catch on. She dodged it pretty well, no complaint from Reno, but as he had rushed forward and she moved out of the way, he was going for it to look like a punch or some sort of offensive attack like that, instead he sort of fell forward and flipped himself over before twisting around to face Cissnei. He kept his posture in attack mode as he grinned at her. “Good job…now let’s see how long you can last against the amazing Reno Sinclair!” Then he rushed at her again, using a bit more speed to distribute lower and upper attacks, seeing how quickly she could dodge and duck out from anything he threw at her. This was more out of fun than training right here, just to see what she could do. Cissnei was doing a fantastic job he had to admit. After this last line of quick attacks Reno backed off a few steps and huffed a deep breath or two. “We’ll take five…don’t want to over work yourself and pull a muscle or something silly like that.” He said before silence crept into the room. Reno walked over and sat down on a bench where you would lift weights, he just sat there and stared down at the mats below before rubbing the back of his head and glancing up at Cissnei. “Hey Cissnei…I’ve been wanting to ask you a question all day…and I hope you won’t laugh at me…” He waited for a moment before looking back down at the floor and clearing his throat. Reno stood up and took a breath. “I was wondering if you…would like to…maybe possibly...I mean, I’d understand if you don’t want to…erm…” Could he not just spit it out? ’Don’t chicken out now dude!’ Reno stopped and scratched the back of his head. “Would you want to go out for dinner with me sometime? Maybe tomorrow night if we’re not busy with work or something?” His voice broke on the last word as he gave off a nervous smile and waited her reply. Words: 1037 Muse: Amazing! Notes: <3 So close!

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Well now, should she take that as a compliment or not? “Hey! Is that a compliment or are you just being mean?” She tried to act mad but the twinkle in her eyes and the smile she tried so hard to hide peeking through showed just how not angry she was. “If I had shades I could be Rude’s twin!” Well…not exactly. She would have to put on like 150 pounds and grow at least a foot, be bald, get big muscles and have the scary aura. Nope, she wasn’t like Rude at all. She couldn’t help but burst out laughing when she thought about that. She really was a weird person! Who else would have thought of that?
It was a lot more enjoyable then she had thought it would be. Actually or some reason she had thought it would be quiet and they would be purely concentrating on training. Not the case. But that was great because it gave her time to stop acting so retarded over Reno and get a grip. Here she was acting like a lovesick fangirl and he was just thinking of her as a short nobody. The thought was depressing and she wished overnight she could grow another 5 inches. If she had long legs instead of being mini mouse would he notice her? Again with this thinking!
She groaned aloud when Reno mentioned it might slip out. Of course he would torture her this way. “Darn it Reno if I get any dirt on this I’m gonna shave you bald in your sleep for real!” She huffed out before eying him as he feinted innocence. “Oh don’t even try the whole innocent routine with me Reno Sinclair! It won’t work and I know you to well! You are most definitely up to something.” She was using his full name a lot, which she only did when she wanted to get someone’s attention. It wasn’t common knowledge that they actually did have last names. It was a protection, but that didn’t make sense since they didn’t get much protection. They were the protection…
She blinked and her demeanor changed when he thanked her for telling him his advice was wise. Had he really never had anything he had said be thought of as wise? It was the truth, and she had meant it, but he looked almost dejected as he thought about something. She was contemplating comforting him or asking him why he looked so deep in thought when he rushed her. She dodged pretty darn well but when she had gotten up she saw that he was facing her. Quickly getting herself back in a defensive stance, she waited to see what he would do next. His praise made her smile and she felt warmth that he thought she had done alright. “Thanks, I-” she stopped when he rushed her again. He had almost caught her off guard. Almost.
He seemed to alternate between upper and lower attacks. Darn but he was good at this. The first was a lower, so she put her weight to the left and jumped to the side to avoid the fist that went through the air. It seemed like immediately he followed through with an upper attack, and following his own advice she ducked low and pushed back, twisting around to right herself, although she had been a little bit sloppier. The next lower attack he dealt she didn’t just dive out of the way. Tensing her legs, Cissnei jumped back before doing a series of two flips through the air behind her, putting more distance between herself and Reno. Oh good a break! Although she thought she had been doing pretty darn good. She immediately smiled and rolled her neck the side, cracking it.
“Crap why didn’t you tell me you were that good?” she said with a laugh before walking over to where her water bottle sat. She strolled back toward him, smothering a yawn with her hand and stood there for a few more seconds. Better take advantage of the rest. Setting her water down beside her Cissnei put a hand up and felt to see if her hair was still up in its pony tail. It had fallen out a bit, so she quickly redid it, before she realized that Reno was talking. When he started she raised her eyebrows and nodded, waiting to see what he was going to ask. When he started…was Reno nervous? Something wasn’t right. He wasn’t making any sense either.
He sounded like her when she had been stuttering like a fool coming into the gym. She would have giggled except she knew it would hurt his feelings. Besides he hadn’t laughed at her, and she had definitely made a bigger fool out of herself. He just seemed to be having difficulty saying what it was he wanted to say. When he paused for a long time, she finally thought she should help him along. “What’s up Reno?” She gave him a big smile before lifting the water bottle up and took a drink again. He finally spit the words out and she started choking on the water she was drinking in her surprise. She spilled water all over herself as she jerked back the water bottle and continued sputtering.
When she was finally able to breathe again she just stared at him with her mouth open breathing like a fish. Had she…did he…was she…was what she thought she heard correct?! Not exactly what a girl did with the guy she had been trying to impress. “Did…are…you’re…” She trailed off, still overcome with surprise. Had Reno Sinclair just asked her out on a date?! Was she dreaming? Or had he really said something else. All this time she was still staring at him. Reno.Sinclair.Had.Just.Asked.Her.Out.On.A.Date. She should say no. It was her brother, it was Reno, she couldn’t like him, he didn’t like her-but wait a second! You didn’t ask someone on a date if you didn’t’ like them did you? And you obviously didn’t accept if you didn’t like them.
Suddenly she felt just as awkward as he had felt. Plus she was altogether painfully reminded of the water she had just drenched herself with. Of all the-she didn’t know how to react, so she just smiled. No wonder he had been nervous, although she didn’t think she had ever seen him look quite so…sickly. “I…um…that is to say...” Finally she just laughed and nodded, “Yeah that’d be great!” She said brightly, her eyes twinkling and the smile on her face was very large. She grew excited and wondered exactly what to do now. “You get to pick since I picked today.” She said, a little bit shy now. “Only fair right?”

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Cissnei’s reactions today were just so…amusing and entertaining! It was too bad Reno didn’t have a camera on him right now. He simply chuckled at her question, leaving her in suspense without an answer. It would probably make her yell at him to say something and stop laughing at her, but that was typical between the two. So he just kept up his little smug grin but couldn’t help himself after Cissnei said she would be Rude’s twin…with a pair of shades. Comparing the two right after that sent Reno into a laughing fit. Even with shades, Cissnei could NEVER be a Rude. He was tall she was short, he was big and muscular, she was tiny, he was…well bald and so on. It was the exact opposite. “Yeah Cissnei, you tell Rude that…your twin, and see what he says…or scowls, whichever comes first.” He added as his laugh died down quite a bit so he could think clearly once again. The silence that filled the room, well it never lasted long. It came in briefly and disappeared as quick as it came, that was a good thing. It was a good distraction. Reno keeping his mind busy trying to think of the sharp witty comments he could make to try and make Cissnei laugh instead of worrying about his emotions and all that other crap he didn’t want to deal with right now. Now was just not the time, especially when you were in the same room with the person you had been thinking about all day, it was hard to concentrate, but Reno managed his best to play a good poker face…at least to hide his weird emotions for the time being. Back to hair threats…oh lovely. Reno just raised an eyebrow and looked at her, not believing a word she said. She wouldn’t dare touch Reno’s nice red hair. It took him a long time to get it that way, and that is how it was going to stay. “Remember what I said earlier? You shave my head, I shave yours…or worse!” He said making a face and going back to his innocent phase. “Besides…you know me Cissy, im an Angel…I would NEVER tell something so embarrassing to anyone…and No, this isn’t sarcasm.” Of course that last part of the statement was dripping with sarcasm, his tone gave it all away, which was the point. Either way, Reno had dirt on Cissnei and if she dared to harm one single hair on his head…she’d wake up to a rude awakening…to find her hair either colored or gone. Oh the joyful distractions of plotting! So close. Reno almost had her, she almost was too worried about responding to move out of the way, but Cissnei did it. Good for her, at least this wouldn’t be a lesson they would have to repeat once again, they could move on to actually…ya know…learning something new? She seemed to dodge anything he threw at her, even if it was by a long shot or very close to Reno actually getting a hold of Cissnei, she was doing very well. Much better than Reno anticipated. “I wouldn’t have told you how good I was even if you asked me…it helps with the element of surprise!” He said enthusiastically as he really was proud of her, and now…it was break time. At least a good five minutes to rest up was enough. But then Reno went into his nervous phase…oh boy. Who wouldn’t be able to tell Reno was nervous by now? He was practically babbling out unfinished sentences and not getting to the point…nervous. Cissnei even seemed to pick up on that, trying to ask him what was up and stuff to get him to spit it out. Finally the words came to his mind, maybe in not the most clever way but they came just the same. And once those words were spoken, Cissnei choked on her water. ‘Oh no…what have I done?! She’s choking because she thinks its horrifying! I’ve just blown it! Idiot idiot idiot idiot!’ His voice screamed at him in his head as he kept his face blank, not letting any sign of the utter worry that was happening on the inside. After the water spilled, Reno just figured it was all going to be a no…maybe a laugh or two, but nothing more. What a stupid idea. Later he’d have some good motive to be down in the dumps, no jokes…no nothing. Now Cissnei started babbling like he had done before asking her out. Was…that a good sign? Or a bad sign? He couldn’t tell! Reno wasn’t used to this whole ‘guy ask girl out…girl choke on water and babble’ It wasn’t exactly the way the movies portrayed it. Hopefully this was a good thing…his thoughts were bouncing back and forth between the good and bad possible outcomes of all this. Reno looked back down at the mat, closing his eyes almost, but Cissnei wouldn’t see at the angle he was sitting and his bangs sort of fell in his face when he looked down. He was hoping…there was at least a tiny spark of hope that this would all go in his favor…but his chances in his mind were slim to none. Cissnei’s tone seemed a bit different than the little spurts of sentence fragments from before. She sounded happy…giggly. Oh here it comes! But…as Reno glanced up at her from where he was sitting, she wasn’t pointing and laughing, she had…AGREED?! SHE SAID YES? What happened to the world these days? Cissnei and Reno were going to go on a date…next thing you know Sephiroth would be on a street corner selling ice cream cones to homeless children for a good cause! All hell had to have frozen over right here, right now. Reno just blinked, his expression blank as he registered what had just been said. He jumped up to his feet quickly as a GIANT smile ran across his face. “THAT’S GREAT!” He stopped to ‘clear his throat’ “I mean…That’s great Ciss. I’ll pick a nice place…and well thanks for not laughing.” He said happily as he tried to calm the utter joy running through his brain right about now. This was excellent! And Reno…Reno Sinclair…had the perfect way to win the heart of his fellow Co-Worker. Words: 1203 Muse: SUPER DUPER AMAZING! (there are lots of caps in these notes >_>) Notes: OMG OMG OMG!!! My excitment is going to explode! AHHHHH!!!!!!

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." He laughed at her when she imitated Rude. She couldn’t help but laugh along with him. Who wouldn’t laugh? It was comical, but maybe they could be twins in…personality? No, not even that. “I just might, it might actually make him smile for once.” She wondered when the last time he had smiled had been. On second thought, had she EVER seen him smile? Probably not, at least not that she could think of. It was a sad thought, maybe her own personal mission should be to make him smile. She probably could do it if she tried hard enough…well…maybe she could do it.
She simply crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him when he told her that he wasn’t using sarcasm and that he would NEVER tell her story to anyone. Fat chance she thought to herself. Knowing Reno he was probably compiling a list of people he wanted to tell. And besides that, just the fact that his voice was literally saturated with sarcasm when he said it made her shake her head. If she lived to be 100 she would probably never figure him out. Not that it was likely that she would live to be that old. Probably die from a bullet or sword wound long before then. Not exactly a nice thought. Actually it was quite depressing. No one wanted to die, especially the way that Zack or that Aerith woman had died. She flinched just thinking about it.
She realized she was being angst with her thoughts and tried to force them in a different direction. Like answering Reno. She put a fist under her chin and kept her eyebrows raised. “And what might I ask is worse then being shaved?” The truly puzzled look was still on her face. She had grown out her hair for way to long for Reno to hack it off! It was fair though, if she cut his hair he would cut hers. She could barely picture him with short hair anymore. Although it had been years since his hair had been short at all. She had been so young back then! What…16? 15? A long time ago that was for sure. “And don’t lie to me, you’re dripping with sarcasm!”
Good thing she had managed to stop herself from getting completely distracted. She was confident that he would have definitely flipped her off her feet again, probably letting her land on her back this time. She smiled, “The element of surprise eh? Well it worked, I was sure surprised.” She said with a laugh. But she was glowing with his praise. Why it meant so much to have done well in his eyes she didn’t know, but it did mean a lot to her! She almost started humming as she went to go get her water.
She was so surprised herself, and then distracted by choking and spilling water all over herself that she didn’t notice that Reno was being awfully quiet. Even If she had looked at him though, she probably wouldn’t have noticed that he was almost devastated in thoughts. He didn’t look it; actually he just looked quiet and composed. She on the other hand was looking like a fool as she effectively showed him what a klutz she really was. And of course she would have to blush again. Darn it darn it darn it darn it! Yet that didn’t seem to stop the warmth from creeping up her neck again. When she said yes he actually jumped to his feet. She couldn’t help but grin back at his enthusiastic reply. She felt completely shy now. Ugh not shy! She hadn’t felt shy with Reno in…forever. But she could not make herself regret saying yes, no matter how hard she tried. Not that she tried at all, actually she was excited. Who wouldn’t be? Reno had just asked her out on a date! She wondered if she was actually glowing, because she felt extremely happy.
She had managed to set her water down beside her, and then her gaze dropped down to see the extent of the water damage. Ugh, her shorts and tank were literally soaking with liquid. Way to go being graceful… she grumbled to herself. But nothing could stop her from being happy. Suddenly she got it. Reno had been nervous about asking her out. She actually smiled at that, it made her feet…well more special. Like it meant something. She was fairly bursting with happiness. Now if only she hadn’t made a complete idiot of herself and drenched herself with water.
And then she almost felt her jaw drop again. Had Reno just thanked her for not laughing? Then she stood up and took a few steps foreword to wrap her arms around Reno and hug him tightly again. Her voice was a tad bit muffled from having her face up against his chest. “Thank you for asking me!” Then she remembered how wet she was. “Oh man, I forgot how wet I was, I’m sorry.” She said quickly, embarrassed about her show of affection. She giggled then, looking up to meet his eyes as she covered her mouth and tried to suppress the giggles.
What a day! She never would have guessed it would have ended up like it did. It felt good, to enjoy a day, even if they did almost get hurt. She smiled then and suddenly saw Reno’s goggles lying where he had tossed them. She didn’t know if she had ever seen them off his head. She couldn’t resist so she went to get them and pulled them over her head. Settling them on her head she turned and gave her Rude scowl. “Look I’m you and Rude combined!”

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Poor Rude. If he knew how much he was made fun of or made topic of conversation today, he’d probably well smack Reno and give Cissnei a good scary scowl. But, that was always fun, watching people’s reactions when you poked some fun at them…unless it was Rude…or pretty much anyone else around ShinRa who had NO sense of humor whatsoever. “Rude? Smile? Good luck with that one Cissy. If you ever get Rude to smile, I’ll give you one of my paychecks as a bet.” He said with a rather large grin, almost too confident and knowing so well that getting Rude to smile was one of the biggest challenges in the world, it was easier said than done. But the thought was nice, Rude needed to be happier more, find a girl, and live life a little better than just work all the time. Reno just kept an innocent angelic smile plastered to his face as Cissnei didn’t buy his act. Though that was part of the plan, sarcasm then act innocent, it was all in good fun, it probably pushed her buttons a bit knowing that Reno was or wasn’t going to blab about her strange behavior and her calling him coach. “What could be worse? Why would I tell you that? You’d use it against me I’m sure…so once again…I’ll keep that a secret…Element of surprise!” Oh Reno. So full of himself and so funny sometimes, he was back into his happy mood once again, like he was at the beginning of the day, nothing to take his mind off of Cissnei or what was going on and definitely nothing confusing running around that head of his, it seemed as if…nothing had really gone on today, but thinking back on it sparked the thoughts again. It was like a song stuck in his head, he thought it was gone for a few moments and it came back, louder than ever. “I’m not lying! I just might be…not telling the truth. You never know do ya?” He chuckled. “The element of surprise is always good. Catching someone off guard, a preemptive strike, all those are bonuses in a battle.” Reno stated seriously, actually getting a little more facts in there that Cissnei probably already knew, but then again…it was reviewing pretty much. All and all, Cissnei did pretty good, there really was no need to review had he known she had this pretty much in the bag, but next time it wouldn’t be so easy, Reno would go full force and then see what they actually needed to work on. It was hard to say with different people, you didn’t know what their limits were, so this was all to figure out Cissnei’s limits, her strengths and weaknesses, etc. Nervous feelings just about made Reno want to be sick. His face was a little paler just by the awful feeling in his gut, but at least he was taking a risk and going for something he thought was right. Hopefully things worked out, Reno wasn’t a romantic type, but he had a pretty good idea in mind if Cissnei agreed to all this. In his mind it played out like a movie, where he got all of his other references, but it seemed almost perfect, all it depended on was the verdict, which turned out to be exactly what he wanted. His eyes sparkled a bit with happiness as Cissnei had accepted his invite, a risk Reno took, and a good time to take it, all that mattered right about now, was that Cissnei said yes. No matter how silly all this was, Cissnei spilling her water all over, and Reno about dying from his feelings, this turned out to be perfect. Reno was bouncing off the walls in his own mind with the different thoughts he had. He needed to look nice tomorrow, he needed to go shopping, he had to pick a nice place to go etc. All these thoughts were running through his mind and just kept repeating like a ticker tape. But the hug brought all those thoughts to a complete halt. He froze for a second before getting at least one arm around Cissnei before she backed away and apologized for her being soaked and stuff. Reno just glanced down at his own attire, the complete front side of him was wet but he just laughed it off. “Don’t worry about it Ciss. I’ve had much worse…I’d rather get a mushy hug from you than getting beaten to a pulp any day.” Did that really just flow out of his mouth? It was kinda cute…but then again…nah, lets just go with Cute, why ruin Reno’s moment? Reno watched as Cissnei grabbed his goggles off the ground and placed them on her head. His hand went to his forehead as he chuckled lightly and tried not to look at her. Fearful of a giant burst of laughter. “What a combination…” He stated before letting his arm drop to his side. “I say we call it a day…get some sleep and…see what goes on tomorrow alright? And I promise, next time you’ll actually learn something.” He said before doing one last thing, he walked over to Cissnei…Took his goggles off her head…stared her in the eyes… ...................... And then ruffled her hair before running out of the gym laughing a bit. Too happy with himself to care of she ran after him fuming and wanting to punch him in the face, he’d take it. His day was made already…nothing could ruin it. Words: 1033 Muse: Great once again! Notes: <3

...Quiet Warrior..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei just shook her head at Reno’s comments, but this time she just smiled and didn’t say anything. They had gotten to fighting and that was that. She actually wondered at his serious mood, he surprised her with that. But she didn’t want to hurt his feelings and tell him she already knew what he had told her, so she just smiled and nodded, trying to look serious. Good thing she knew her way around fighting or this would be even harder then it was. Although she had always been better at defending herself then with hand to hand. Still she wanted to be able to defend herself without a weapon.
Cissnei was suddenly feeling a burning feeling in her neck when she realized that she was clinging to Reno yet again. What was with her and showing affection anyway? Blame it on Reno, he just looked too darn…huggable. She laughed at how his entire front of his clothes was wet now. Nice, he was probably cursing her in his mind. A large smile split her face when he said he’d rather get a mushy hug from her then get beaten into a pulp. “Oh how sweet of you.” She said a tad bit sarcastically. It had been cute, but she wouldn’t admit that, even to herself.
They were done already? The puzzled look on her face showed her surprise when Reno whipped off her goggles and said they would call it a day. “Wait…we're done already?” She was a bit shocked, but then again, learning slowly so you weren’t overwhelmed was a good thing right? She just shrugged and wondered what he was going to teach her next time. Was she actually agreeing for there to be a second time? Remembering her near not come at all, she wondered what had changed her mind. Was it because once she had gotten warmed up she had stopped thinking such weird thoughts?
Or was it the fact that Reno had actually asked her out on a date? She still couldn’t believe it! She was more excited then she had been in a really long time, but then a horrified thought came into her mind. What were you supposed to wear on a date anyway? She had looked though her clothes and hadn’t seen anything that would be good for a date. Not that she had ever been on a date, so she wouldn’t know. But usually she saw girls in cute dresses and heels. She didn’t own a pair of heels, and she didn’t think she had a dress either.
She felt a tad bit breathless when she was staring into Reno’s eyes. And it wasn’t because she was winded from the martial arts training either. If she did get this ridiculous notion of gasping like a fish every time Reno got close under control she would end up making a fool out of herself every time he looked at her. Then Reno had the audacity to ruffle her hair once more before running out laughing like an idiot. “RENO!” She burst out, exasperation thick in her voice. Her breathless moment effectively stopped as she automatically chased him out of the gym. “Hey come back here! You can’t get away with that and then just run off!!” She considered chasing him all the way to where he stopped and tackling him. But she stopped just outside the door and put her hands on her hips. “HEY! Don’t I even get a goodbye?!”
So she stood there and watched him retreat, trying to stop the smile from making its appearance on her face. Why could he make her laugh and smile even when he was being ridiculous? She just shook her fist after him before laughing and jogging after him. In the silence Cissnei finally had time to think. She suddenly was very quiet. Remembering that she didn’t have clothes she could wear she almost panicked. What was she going to wear?! She was going to have to go shopping, because for once in her life she was not going to wear a suit. But what exactly was one supposed to wear to a date? And who could she even ask? Elena? That was a big no. Rude? Even bigger no. Tseng? She doubted he even knew that there were clothes other then the suit. She didn’t want to bother Tifa, although she would probably be the best person to ask. So that left…no one. At least no one she wanted to talk to. What if she under dressed? What if she over dressed?!
This was harder then it looked alright. Of course Cissnei had been asked out on dates before, but it had been easy to turn those guys down. She didn’t know them or work had gotten in the way, but she had never actually been on a date before. She sighed, no wonder she hadn’t been on a date before, it was way to much work. She walked back to her living quarters slowly, wondering what it would be like. She felt excited and dread at the same time. Of course she was going to blow it…she was good at that. Groaning as she unlocked her door and pushing it open. Pulling out her hair band, she ran a hand through her hair and walked toward her closet. Putting on her pajamas, Cissnei deposited her wet clothes in her laundry bin and went through her closet once more.
She finally sighed and shrugged nothing she would want to wear on her first date. Covering a yawn Cissnei jumped into bed and pulled the blankets up to her chin. Her day had started out odd, but it had ended wonderful. She smiled when she thought of how nervous Reno had been when he had asked her out. And how happy she was Reno was her first date. She fell asleep with that smile on her face…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waking up to an alarm ringing in her ear, Cissnei yawned and reached over to shut it off. Wishing she could have a few more minutes to sleep when suddenly she remembered. Bolting upright in bed Cissnei gasped a little bit. Had that been real or had she been dreaming? Hoping it had been real, Cissnei glanced at her phone. She hoped they didn’t have to do anything today because she needed to find something to wear. Bouncing out of bed she suddenly wondered why she had so much energy. It wasn’t even sunup yet, although she was used to the schedule. Actually she was impressed that she hadn’t gotten a call telling her that there was an emergency she had to take care of. She didn’t usually get a full night of sleep, or so she remembered from the last time she was a Turk. Had they let her sleep because it was her first day?
Grabbing her phone Cissnei quickly showered, got dressed and ready to go. She was going to have to get a few more suits, but that could wait. First an outfit! She picked up her phone and called Tseng. Asking him if she could have the day off wasn’t exactly the easiest thing she had ever done. Luckily he told her that there wasn’t anything to do so far, so she could have a few hours off. When he asked her what for she stuttered out that she had a date. She still might have to go on a mission, but Tseng just said he would keep her updated. Suddenly realizing that she had to give him a report about the incident from the day before Cissnei walked down to his office and told him before filling out the paperwork she needed to do on it. She was too excited to think properly, but she tried to focus on what needed to be done instead of exactly what she should wear. Maybe if she bough huge heels she wouldn’t look so short. Ok so probably not major heels…but maybe heels of some sort…

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno just kept that stupid goofy grin plastered to his face as he felt so…proud. He’d never been the romantic complimentary type, unless he was being sarcastic, but today he was doing such a nice job. He gave Cissnei a thumbs up when she said that was sweet of him, he didn’t really notice the hint of sarcasm in her voice, he was too busy being sooooo proud of himself. Oh Reno. What a silly silly turk. A 10 minute lesson? Well that was good enough, besides the two were soaked now, not that Reno minded, he did mean what he said about getting hugs from Cissnei, moving on though. Something was indeed learned, well sort of, the element of surprise had many different forms and it just wasn’t for battle. Reno was surprised Cissnei said yes to his date invitation, let alone he even spit out the words to ask her! Now that…was surprise. “Yep! Next lesson will take longer, I just didn’t expect things to go the way they did…besides you are good to go on evasion and stuff like that. And you wouldn’t want to strain yourself too much, we still have jobs that require a lot of work so no need to wear you out on the first lesson.” He said, that grin as wide as ever as he folded his arms across his chest…his wet chest…thanks to that mushy hug…oh well. All the angst Reno was feeling towards himself before was completely gone, and it wasn’t going to return anytime soon. He had gotten over his fear of emotions and just spilled out the words to form something…truly amazing. Cissnei agreed to a date, and Reno’s confusing feelings were finally all sorted out. He knew exactly how he felt and he was going to prove it on their date, he had a surprise in mind for Cissnei, hopefully she wouldn’t be freaked out or laugh at him…that would be a total bummer not to mention Reno would feel like…an idiot. At least more of an idiot than he was. In his mind he pictured the perfect setting, Reno would actually have to make himself presentable and find a nice ring to match his idea. Now I know what you are thinking, and no it wouldn’t be a wedding ring, but a promise ring…to show Cissnei he was serious and that he cared THAT much about her. It was the perfect thing to do. Oh no. This meant…SHOPPING! Finding something to wear wouldn’t be hard, Reno already owned plenty of suits, but…that was his typical attire, he needed to switch it up some. Maybe a tie? Or actually button the jacket? That would be figured out tomorrow, but the worst part was the ring. Reno being a guy, had no sense in what girls liked in jewelry, and its not like he had anyone to ask. Rude? Hahaha, No. Elena? No she’d probably tell him he was doing EVERYTHING wrong, then there was Tseng, and well that just didn’t sound like a good idea. Looks like Reno had to go with his gut feeling on everything here. Hopefully he had enough sense to know what was decent, what was god awful, and what was well…perfect. Cissnei’s reactions were just so animated and dramatic almost, so entertaining as well! Reno listened to her holler as he made his great escape. He ran down the hallway laughing like a moron as she ran after him, stopping and asking about a goodbye. Reno turned still moving, but half running backwards before waving a bit. “Bye Ciss! Is that oka- OOF!” He didn’t get to finish before running into a wall and sliding down it. Ouch. Slowly getting back to his feet with a nervous laugh "Meant to do that!" Reno avoided the wall he just hit and walked backwards slower. “ill see you tomorrow!” And with that, he turned around before he hit anything else and went on to his own room. While in his room, Reno changed into a new set of clothes, much like his gym wear except with longer pants, and he looked through his closet for something to wear for the next day. He pulled out a tie from the back of the closet which was covered with dust. He blew off the dust before hacking on the dust particles. “Oh this is going so smooth already.” He coughed before he wrapped the tie around his neck and tried tying it a …bagillion times. Finally after almost choking himself on the tie he threw it on the ground and searched for something else. “This is horrible. I can’t even tie a tie…oh well, Guess it’s a suit ill have to deal with.” He said shutting his closet door before diving onto his bed, pulling the blankets up, putting his arms behind his head, and falling asleep. That goofy stupid grin…still there as it was back in the gym. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another day… Reno was half slumped over in his bed, his arm hanging off and almost touching the ground as his snores seemed to try and drown out the sound of his alarm. He snoozed it about twice by now before finally rolling himself out of bed. With a yawn and a stretch he realized all the stuff he had to do today and groaned as he sat on the corner of his bed, rubbing his eyes to wake himself up. This would be a busy day he already knew it. So long as things didn’t end up in disaster, Reno figured he might actually pull this all off. He slumped his way to the shower, waking him up more before getting dressed and heading out to actually start the day. With a deep breath he made his way down to Tseng’s office, babbling something about needing time off or a good notice if something was going to come up, which was okay, today seemed like a slow day for ShinRa anyway. With all that settled, and Reno not really caring about what else to do for work, he headed off. The sun was rising the malls were opening! His biggest fear now came alive…shopping. Oh how Reno dreaded shopping for anything, even for himself. But it had to be done. As he opened the doors to one jewelry store in town he looked around. The glass cases around everything made him nervous. So he walked slowly and made sure not to trip over himself as he looked at the rings. Spending a good hour and a half in the store talking to a sales lady who seemed to take her job way to seriously, Reno picked a ring so he could get out of there as quickly as possible. Besides…he liked the one he picked out…it was nice and pretty, he even paid for it out of his own money. He was truly serious about all this. If only things would stay quiet for today…nothing was going to ruin his plans! Walking back into ShinRa Reno peeked his head around every corner, making sure Cissnei wasn’t near so she wouldn’t notice the bag. Now this was the true mission impossible. Reno felt like a ninja making his way to his room being all stealth-like. When he finally made it back he leaned against his door and smiled to himself. “You’re just too good Reno…an amazing person. You win.” He told himself in a tiny self-pep talk. Oh was Reno ready or what! Only hours stood in his way of his plan…if only time would move faster… Words: 1383 Muse: Great! Notes: Sorry its kinda bleh, next post they can go on their date or whatever.
