"Yeah. It's imperative that I find those files. I need them to live." He was serious about this. If Servos didn't find the blueprints to himself within the year, he was sure that he would stop functioning altogether. That was the last thing he wanted to do. Existence was pretty much all he had left to him at this point. He didn't even have a known goal for his nearly eternal life.
He stopped for a second when Repa offered her aid to him and Cissnei. This was exactly what they needed. Repa had information that was vital to Cissnei's mission and Servos had promised to help. And if he was anything, he was a man of his word. "So if I asked you, you would come along with me to meet my friend? Because she needs to find out information on these portals. And I'm sure an extra combat-capable comrade could come in pretty handy. I'm sure Cissnei won't mind the help."
Servos sighed and looked down at his feet again as he walked. His voice just above the volume of his malfunctioning legs. "The project I'm looking for is 50 years old, but still possibly in the remains of the lab of one Professor Hojo. The project files should contain the blueprints to a vast number of mechanical pieces fitting together in the form of a bipedal humanoid with a plethora of functions. It's my project. Project Golem. And if I'm lucky, also with the blueprints will be some sort of clues to my past. Or at least part of it."
With one hand he tore open his already mostly destroyed shirt. His chest was mostly a compilation of steel plates. From around his collarbone area to mid-neck, was many wires, hoses and lots of exposed flesh. From there was all still human parts, thought as Servos lifted up the hair from the left side of his head, an input slot and a output cord could be seen.
"I need those files or I won't last another year. For something created to last forever, I need a lot of maintenance. I haven't received any for 40 years or there about. All that is left of Project Golem is me and, if I'm lucky, ancient files left in an abandoned ShinRa laboratory."

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa blinked for a few seconds. So he needed these files to live, oh yes, then she would definitely offer her services, she’d help if needed. Of course she’d only known the guy for what…a half hour? Maybe not even that, but she still felt like she owed him something, he did help her through all those PSICOM soldiers after all, besides, helping others was her specialty, though the time she found for it all was hard to come up with. But she managed to get it all done. When Servos then asked her about helping out, she instantly nodded and a smile appeared on her face. “Of course. Just name the time and place, I’ll be there.” She said with a wink as she folded her arms across her chest, feeling good about all this help she offered to people, which most of them did take it, and she didn’t mind a bit. Cissnei…why did that name sound familiar? Perhaps she’d heard it thrown around a few times in the city…nothing clicked just yet, but she kept quiet and continued to listen carefully. She took in everything he said and put it all to memory, she was going to remember everything he said, she had to, maybe if she thought long and hard about all this she could really help? Who knew what she’d come up with. “Well then yeah, count me in…it’s really important to get these files.” She confirmed to herself more than anything as she was now really interested in this ‘mission’ she got herself into. When she saw all the metal, the wires everything, Repa knew that this was no joke. He needed these blue prints, and she’d be there to assist him and this Cissnei girl, whoever she was. “Then we better figure up some sort of game plan to get these files.” She said with a nod as they arrived at her apartment complex. “ShinRa probably has that area sealed off…it might be a complicated thing to recover…at least if the stories I have heard are accurate.” She said walking up the stairs to the doors of the complex. “If you have time, we can talk about this game plan and then let Cissnei know what’s up…” She said turning back to look at Servos. “Just know you’ve got all my support…” Which would be a lot, if Repa committed herself to something…she’d get it done. "Actually," he started, "We do have a way in. Cissnei is a Turk. She could get us in and out relatively fast. I've already calculated time estimates and we should be done with the lab in approximately 10 minutes, 7 with your help." He illustrated the time by lifting his hands then putting down three fingers.
"Even back in my time, the Turks had many allowances through ShinRa's restricted areas." Servos buttoned up the coat he was wearing and gestured to the apartment complex. "So our gameplan gets quite a bit simpler. That means less to worry about. You go get some sleep. We can go meet Cissnei after a while."

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Cissnei…was a Turk? Repa had heard of that, they were some sort of group in that ShinRa company right? She hadn’t heard the best things about ShinRa from Tifa when they last talked…but she’d help out anyways, it wasn’t like this mission would put anyone at risk right? It was for Servos’ own good, so with a smile Repa nodded some. “Well that makes it sound relatively easy now…” She said folding her arms across her chest as she continued to listen to him talk. So her help would make a 3 minute difference? Well it was something alright. “Like I said…easy…easy as pie.” She said with a confirming nod to herself as she now was hungry for pie…she brought that one upon herself. But food would definitely come later, a nap was first in order…then maybe some food, something to get Repa energized. Lately things had just been so complicated and full in life that she didn’t have time to keep track of her own health. Lack of sleep and lack of food was starting to tear her apart. While still listening, Repa kept her eyes on Servos, listening about these Turks…she was interested to know what they did. Perhaps this Cissnei girl could enlighten her and explain this ShinRa stuff to her…Tifa only gave her brief descriptions and that was about it. “Well then good thing Cissnei is on our side.” She said with a wide grin still before a muffled yawn as she tried to cover it with her hands. She was probably dead tired right about now. So perhaps Servos was right, get some sleep then meet Cissnei. It sounded like a good plan to her. “You can come in if you want? If not…do you have a phone? You can just call me and tell me where to meet you two.” She said taking a step up one of the steps that lead up the main lobby of her apartment complex. “A nap sounds great…wouldn’t want a dead tired person on your team now would you? I’d probably be worthless if I am as tired then as I am now…” she said sheepishly rubbing the back of her head while using her free hand to pull a card-key out of her back pocket so she could be ready to just walk inside and go to her place. Servos smiled and followed the lady in. He looked around and noted everything he saw. Surprisingly there were not that many people in this apartment. That's just as well, he thought, if PSICOM were to find us, it would be unfortunate for anyone else to be caught up in the crossfire.
"Thank you. I don't actually have a cell phone. I haven't been awake long enough to get any real money to spend on anything." He scratched the back of his head and smiled. Despite the fact that he was probably worth over 15 million in parts, the cyborg had nothing to his name except the clothes on his back and his sword and gun. Oh well.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa knew her home was safe, she always made sure no PSICOM was around before entering, and if they were around, she would simply walk around the block till they left, or fight them off, whatever was easiest, she didn’t need them knowing where she lived, otherwise that would put other people’s lives in jeopardy. She didn’t want that at all. But walking inside, there weren’t very many people in the lobby of this nice place…a few couches laid in the lounge area and they were empty, the only people in were either walking out, or behind the counter waiting for more rooms to be rented out. It seemed more like a hotel than your average apartment complex, but that is what Repa loved…the best service for a girl like her. She was a princess after all, only the finest things in life right?
After stepping indoors Repa started heading towards an elevator, there were four stories to this building, she was on the top floor, which she loved, so that’s where she was heading. Her eyes sort of widened when Servos stated that he didn’t have a cell phone, or the money to get one. Her eyes shifted off to the side as she thought to herself. “Oh I see…that sort of is a problem…Cell phones are pretty much a thing everyone has these days.” She said with a shrug as she pressed the button summoning the elevator down to the bottom floor. “But…I mean…if you need one, I do have an extra one upstairs. It’s my brother’s old one, it’s still a great piece of equipment but he gave it to me…just in case.” She said with a smile in his direction before the doors to the elevator opened up with a ‘ding’ and Repa stepped in, keeping the doors open. A cell phone... that would be helpful. Although Servos already believed that he was asking quite a bit of someone he just met to be giving anymore, Repa was offering something to him for free and anything at this point could be incredibly useful.
He nodded and stepped into the elevator with her. "Alright, thanks. A mobile phone would come in handy. I kinda wish the advancements in technology during my project had included one of those." He joked a bit, hoping to coax a laugh out of the lady.
He stood at the back of the elevator with his robotic hand clutched behind his back. Every once in a while, they would clack against the sword and shotgun. He closed his eyes for a second or two and reviewed a maintenance checklist as it scrolled by over his eyes. Other than his leg problems, there wasn't too much wrong. However, it would appear that his power source was fading slightly. Hopefully that too could be remedied with the location of those blueprints.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa never minded offering up help or anything, even a spare cell phone didn’t bother her, it’s not like she was going to need two of them, besides the one she had right now was perfectly fine and it suited her needs fairly well. So really, she didn’t see why not. Once Servos stepped into the elevator, Repa let the doors shut and she waited quietly as the humming of the elevator was the only sound really heard, before the semi-silence was broken by words. Repa’s attention was drawn to Servos again as he spoke. With a small laugh Repa nodded some at what he said. “well I guarantee you it will come in handy and it will be a lifesaver…okay maybe not a lifesaver, but it’ll help a lot I promise!” She said as the elevator came to a stop and dinged stating they were at the designated floor.
Stepping out as the doors opened, Repa pulled a key ring out of her pocket, attached to it had 3 keys, one for her apartment, one for her room back home, and one for her bike that sat in a lot outside. The one Cloud had helped her pick out, back when things weren’t so…stressful. Walking up to a door she stuck the key in the socket, turned it and pushed open the door, flicking on the light and stepping to the side to let Servos in. “I’ll have to go find that Cell phone…it’s somewhere around here…” she said with a shrug and a smile before walking into her apartment and walking off down the one hallway the main room led to, back towards her room to fish out the cell phone, wherever it was. “Make yourself at home!” She called out while you could hear cabinets, doors and drawers flying open.
After a few minutes of searching, you could hear an “Ah ha!” From back where Repa was before she walked back into her living room holding up a black modern cell phone, it was nice shiny and ready to go. “Alright, here it is…I think we just have to program it to work for you…so it doesn’t end up calling me or something like that.” She said with a shrug holding her hand out with the cell phone in it to Servos. “I hope it works alright for you…may take some getting used to.” She added on happy to help.Words: 514 Muse: Good Tagged: Servos Notes: None

Servos scanned the room for something to sit on while he removed the gun and sword from his back. There were many chairs to choose from, but none of them looked like the could hope to support the cyborg. Instead, he would just leaned against a wall. In the corner nearest him, he rested his weapons. Sunlight still shone and reflected off of them and around the room in oblong shapes.
Technically, he could never get tired. An inexhaustible automaton. But somehow, he felt like he should take a nap as well. The day, no the entire week, had been filled with momentous events and Servos was mentally drained. Still looking at the light reflections, he slowly sank to the floor, his back still on the wall. His eyes once again started to close.
As Repa re-entered the room, his eyes snapped open and his head quickly turned to the direction of her voice. The small sleek device in her hand must be that cell phone she was talking about. He smiled as she talked about reprogramming it to work for him. "That would be nice. Thank you. And... thank you for your assistance in finding my blueprints." It was strange, even his voice sounded a little haggard to him.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa was in an unusually good mood for a day like this. Running into PSICOM didn’t seem to faze her as much anymore, and neither did her horrible lack of sleep, it was just something you got used to I guess. As she wandered back out into her living room, she had a small smile on her face as Servos thanked her. She nodded her head once and smiled a bit wider. “No problem…No problem at all, I’m always game for helping others…so long as they don’t shoot at me.” She said with a small shrug of her shoulders as she noticed Servos’ voice sounding a bit haggard. “You alright? I mean, I dunno how any of this really works…” she said rubbing the back of her head letting her eyes wander around the room before settling back on Servos. “Do you sleep? Like…please feel free to tell me to mind my own business, I guess I’m just curious.” She said with a nervous laugh before looking around again trying not to feel or look stupid or silly.
As she turned around and looked behind her, Repa walked over and hopped up, sitting on the counter that connected her small, yet cozy living room to the oober tiny kitchen she had in this little apartment. Sitting there swinging her legs briefly she shrugged her shoulders again. “I guess you could call me a techie, I am quite the mechanic” She said with a wink and a wide grin. It was true, Repa was no idiot princess, she was quite aware of a lot of things, she knew technology pretty well, though she’d never seen…or met a cyborg before, it was fascinating to her, so questions were a given, at least in her mind they were. “Okay, so I may not be a pro or anything, but…I’m not dumb or anything.” She said before she decided she should either shut up or move onto another topic.
“So…are you- um, We supposed to meet this Cissnei girl sometime soon? Did she have a meeting place in mind?” Repa asked raising an eyebrow, just trying to get the details on everything so she was well informed. Though she was delaying her nap, she didn’t mind, a few minutes wouldn’t hurt, but you could tell by the dim color of her eyes that she was exhausted. Dead tired, it was a shock that she hadn’t collapsed on the carpet and just gone to sleep then, but then again…she could suck up a few more minutes before she drifted to sleep for like..what an hour? Every minute counted to her.Words: 548 Muse: Good Tagged: Servos Notes: None!

Servos smiled, though it looked like it a grin given during a moment of nostalgia.
"Oh don't worry about me too much. I just need maintenance. I don't think I need sleep on a physical level, but emotionally and mentally I need rest. I haven't had a rest since I woke up the beginning of this week. And it has been eventful. I don't really 'sleep' either. I just enter a Stand-By state. I won't really respond to much, but I can hear everything said around me." He closed his eyes again and let the dull green numbers pass by his eyes.
"I think it would take a lot more than being a techie to work on robotics like this." He opened his coat and then the steel casing on his upper left torso. Where a human heart should be was what looked like a miniature reactor of some kind wired into the mess of machinery, wires and a metallic skeletal frame. Despite its age, it still seemed extremely advanced for even technology now in Gaia. "My project dealt with technology centuries ahead of its time. I don't mean to offend your capabilities in any way." He closed the casing and covered it with his coat.
"I know exactly where we'll be meeting her. She said she would wait for me to finish some last-minute preparations, so I don't want to keep her waiting too long. Besides, I doubt PSICOM will want to mess with you, me, and every single Turk in ShinRa. Hell, I woundn't... but that means that you could catch up on the sleep they've robbed you of while we get there." Servos smiled a bit more as he thought of getting to that old lab and finding his blueprints. Then of him fixed and able to truly repay these two ladies for their help. After that, he might finally be able to find the reasoning behind his urge to wander.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa shook her head, mechanical or not, sleep was a definite must. She didn’t know how she herself would last if she hadn’t slept like…ever. Rest was probably a good idea, even for him, even if he didn’t physically need it. Just time to relax that was probably best. Repa knew she had to get some sleep or she’d really lose it. Go insane or something like that. But then again, a few minutes never hurt anyone, she would resist the urge to sleep for now, and then sulk off to her bed or even the sofa to just pass out for an hour or so, then they had to go meet this Cissnei girl. “I don’t know how that’s possible.” She chuckled a bit probably just being silly. “I mean…everyone deserves the right to actually sleep…to dream, and all that stuff.” She said cutting her eyes over to a clock on the wall. It was late afternoon, a nap wouldn’t mess up her already whacked out sleeping schedule so she would be good to go.
“Yeah, I bet…I don’t feel as smart now, but that’s okay.” Repa said with a shrug before taking in a deep breath and hopping down from where she was sitting and stretching a bit. “Don’t worry, no offence taken here. If its technology centuries ahead of its time…then I’m sure you’d love my world. Full of technology you could never dream of…though the location I guess you could say it really old fashioned.” She shrugged a bit, thinking back about home and how advanced in technology they were, but where they lived, it seemed to be set in the past. A castle and tiny villages surrounding the area, small towns and what not. It wasn’t your classical renaissance world, but there sure were some of those qualities lying around, but of course new things were being rebuild in the most technical way possible, like Repa’s home, it was no dark dusty castle, everything was completely modern…at least for her world’s idea of modern.
Listening to the plan of where to meet Cissnei and what not, Repa kept quiet and just nodded, taking a mental note of everything Servos said, before he got the part about her being robbed of sleep that is. She wasn’t going to disagree with him there. “Alright, sounds good to me…I’m gonna see if I can at least catch a good hour of shut eye. I’ll be completely useless unless I’m completely focused.” She said smiling a bit as she looked around the room before placing a hand on her hip. “You can chillax here if you want…Make yourself at home.” She said walking back down the hall she had gone back before to retrieve the cell phone, but this time she didn’t come back. Getting even an hour of sleep would affect her dramatically. It would make her more alert and ready for practically anything that came her way. Crawling onto her bed, Repa pulled her covers up and didn’t bother even taking off her shoes as she set an alarm for herself to wake up in an hour or so before drifting off to a well needed nap. "I actually don't know if I can or not. Dreams are purely made from the brain processing information from the day and going through important events recorded in long-term memory. Some of my brain is computerized, so I might not be able to anymore. But for some reason, I can't shake the feeling that I wouldn't want to dream anymore." He rubbed his face as he once again attempted to remember. Nothing but a headache...
Servos nodded as Repa took down the hall again. He assumed her room was down there when she didn't return after a minute. He smiled as the he thought of what it would be like to dream again. Not that he remembered much of dreams. His eyes closed and the dull green numbers and letters scrolled every direction in his mind. They suddenly faded away and were replaced with only one word in yellow: STANDBY
Suddenly, Servos jolted up. He was unsure what had happened, but he was in a cold sweat. Looking to the clock, he'd been on standby for 52 minutes. Strange... he should have only 'woken up' in precisely one hour. Something must have jostled him awake sooner. Or... did he have a nightmare?
His heightened hearing picked up some noise on the stairs going up. Just to make sure everything was okay, Servos got up and grabbed his shotgun and sword. He loaded the lightning materia into the cylinder along with some regular shells and slung the Claymore onto his back.
He opened the door and crept out into the hall. Peeking over the railing and down the staircase, his eyes narrowed as he saw who was entering the building and ascending the stairs. It was PSICOM. This area was starting to get to be a hot zone; not the place to be for people like them. Luckily, it only seemed to be a scouting squad of two. He waited patiently for the two to get to the floor he was on.
In one swing, he decapitated the men before they had time to even know what was going on. He then had the bright idea to drag the bodies into the apartment. If this area was going to be crawling with PSICOM soon, maybe it would be better to not be noticed and a disguise like this would be key.
He disrobed the larger of the two corpses and placed it in the closet. The uniform was a snug fit, but it would do. Over the top of it, he wore his battle-torn trench coat and put his tools of combat in their proper place on his back. He sat back down on the ground for the remaining time before Repa woke up looking at the helmet the soldier had been wearing. When his cyberization was completed, would he have the same kind of emotionless look as the helmet he held?

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa just shrugged. She loved dreams, it was an escape from reality, whether or not it was real or even going to come true. But still, it was a nice escape. Everyone deserved to get away from reality for awhile right? Repa knew with all that had been going on, and her lack of sleep, those tiny dreams she had, if any at all, meant something to her, it took away a bit of the stress and replaced it with happy thoughts…unless she was awakened with a nightmare. There was a downside to everything now wasn’t there? Yep sure was. Repa didn’t say much more, she just smiled and nodded a bit at Servos as she started heading out of the room. “If I’m not out here in an hour, might as well sound off some sort of alarm and wake me up. If I sleep too much I’ll never want to wake up.” She said as her voice trailed down the hall as she did before drifting off to sleep.
With a smile on her face Repa slept like a baby. Her dreams consisted of nothing specific, first she saw her home…the vast green hills and white castle, it almost made her feel a bit sad while she was dreaming, homesick almost. It made her think that it was time to visit home once again, at least when she got the chance to, perhaps while she was there she could get some sleep like a normal person again…then again maybe not. Next through her cloudy dreams, she saw the images of faces of those she loved, and those she had recently seen, all and all, her dream was pretty random for the most part, but at least it wasn’t a nightmare! There had been times where she’d experience the worst nightmares ever…remembering her past, her brother’s death, and the recent things with PSICOM would haunt her as well…but how to get rid of those? Perhaps she had to finish off PSICOM, get them out of Gaia once and for all, then maybe her mind would be at peace.
It had only felt like 5 minutes of sleeping before the buzzer started ringing in Repa’s ears. She shuffled around a bit opening one eye before sighing heavily and shoving her face into her pillow placing her hands over her ears trying to drown out the sound and dream some more, but that was no use. After about 30 seconds of constant buzzing, Repa slammed her hand down on the alarm clock on her side table and sat up. Her hair being a total mess she got up and tried to tame it some before emerging from her room with sleepy eyes. Being sleepy she was oblivious, so walking out and spotting Servos she didn’t notice anything was off, as she combed her fingers through her hair and finally got it straight she blinked for a second before noticing the helmet in Servos’ hands. It looked way to familiar. Then her eyes caught sight of some of a PSICOM uniform on him. Had she switched from dreams to a nightmare?!
“Why are you….Why do you have that?” Repa questioned raising an eyebrow as she didn’t feel so sleepy anymore. Still blinking trying to comprehend why he had this PSICOM uniform, she looked over at the door and started hearing murmurs from outside on the staircase. With a heavy sigh she shook her head and raised a hand to her forehead. PSICOM was snooping around here now, great, just lovely. “Did something happen while I was asleep?” She asked not looking at Servos as she then walked over to a nearby window and looked down at the street. PSICOM vehicles were down there and here she was…trapped inside her little apartment with not much places to run. “So…this is great…any ideas on how to get past PSICOM from here?”Words: 756 Muse: Good Tagged: Servos Notes: None

As Repa asked him, Servos looked at her and pointed to the other body with its legs sticking out of the bathroom. He then pointed out of the window to a few patrols of soldiers going past the building.
"PSICOM is getting close. I was awoken by a couple of scouts that were climbing the stairs. Killed them and, well, I needed a new shirt. But also along those lines, I think we could fool them with these uniforms. After all, they aren't all that bright." Servos thought about how the grunts just basically threw themselves at him. He sincerely doubted they would be able to tell them apart from any other member.
The cyborg picked himself up and tossed the helmet between his right and left hand. "And unfortunately both the fast and long routes mean going through PSICOM hot zones. With you running on only an hour of sleep and me being... damaged... I don't think carving out a crimson path would get us very far."
