Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Focus complete…Check. Gaining Eternal Life…Check. Waking up once again…? What was it this time…a new focus? No surely not, the last focus was actually completed this time…now it was time for that normal life to live right? Yes! Ragnarok was not the end of Cocoon…in fact, it saved Cocoon and Pulse and a lot of lives…though getting there shattered a lot of dreams. Many people died so these…dreaded Pulse L’Cie would make it into Eden…into Orphans cradle…to end things once and for all with Barthandules. Fang and Vanille had sacrificed themselves…becoming ragnarok and saving Cocoon…that’s how it all ended…leaving Lightning and the gang free to live on with their families. It was the new dawn they had been searching for. With a little bit of perseverance and promises to keep Cocoon safe…they made a miracle and changed their fate. Cocoon was a crystallized monument stuck on Pulse now…where everyone seemed to relocate. But now…the two L’Cie who saved them were waking up once again. It seemed like Déjà vu all over again, waking up from a crystallized sleep, except it hadn’t been 500 years this time…a few months was more like it. The day was just beginning and the sun was starting to heat the surface of Gran Pulse…Fang and Vanille’s home world…as everyone else’s for the time being. The crystal practically faded away from Vanille as she landed on the surface of Gran Pulse on her side. Her eyes were closed as she took in a breath, smelling the dirt on the ground of pulse and feeling the warmth of the sun on her arms, her bright green eyes opened and she sat up quickly looking all around her. “What...? Is this…really happening?” She squeaked as she frantically got to her feet and pulled her skirt up a bit to see her brand…but…her brand was white...scorched…like Fang's was once before. Her hands went to her mouth as she gasped in a big breath, a smile effortlessly forming on her face as she felt the need to scream out in joy. The brand was inactive, the focus, Everything! But wait…did that mean her abilities were frozen just as her brand was? She felt back for her binding rod, it was still there on her bear sash and she felt the need to see if all these powers she gained…stayed or went away. She closed her eyes and felt a crystal form In her hands, an orange color in the shape of an apple…she opened her eyes and smiled. Hecatoncheir…she threw up the crystal and watched it shatter as the Eidolon appeared before her. So she still kept onto the powers and what not…even her Eidolon. That was a great feeling. After letting Hecatoncheir go back into a small crystal, Vanille looked around her. “Gran Pulse?” She said to herself before looking at the crystallized Cocoon. “We did it…we actually saved Cocoon.” Her mind then immediately went to Fang…and even the others such as Lightning and Sazh. What happened to them? Were they alright? She hoped so…as she wandered aimlessly in a circle, a wide circle staring at Cocoon…Vanille wondered if Fang woke up too. She hoped so…she wanted to enjoy this focus free life with her best friend…then that brought her back to think of another person. Fate! Was he back on his own world? Probably so…how would she be able to find time…to show what she had done…completed her focus to save everyone. And here she was, able to live the normal life she dreamed about. Everything seemed to be going great. If only she had people to share this moment with. Words: 731 Muse: Great! Notes: THEY HAVE BRANDS! JUST SCORCHED...just so you all know.

[~Lithe Dragoon~] I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her! The figure of a woman lay locked within the expanse of a crystal shard. Resting from the time when she joined with her best friend to become the force that would save them all from the fal’cie, save Cocoon and Pulse from the hate and suffering they had suffered, bringing the people together to live in harmony together in Pulse. The time had come for those people to forget the past, as it threatened to destroy everything. Being granted eternal slumber, it really was not something to be desired. After all, could anyone that had turned to crystal ever be rejuvenated? It had happened once before…but 500 years had passed and everything was different.
Would the next awakening be the same? After centuries of time? No, it would not be the fate of the two women who had ended it all. Only months had gone by since the women had been granted the eternal slumber, now they finally had a chance to be free. A bright light shone as the crystal dissolved from around the figure. No noise was uttered as the woman fell to the ground, lying motionless. Eyes were closed, no movement was found on her, except for the seemingly nonexistent push of her chest as it went up and down, filled with life. Would this be a chance to live again? Or was she to do the bidding of a fal’cie once more.
Suddenly the eyes of the woman flashed open, fingers convulsed into fists as she gained consciousness. Blinking rapidly to try to gain her focus in her mind and clear the fuzziness. “What…?” She whispered, raising herself up so that she was sitting up. Green eyes glanced this way and that, could it be happening again? She wanted to scream her fury that it was happening all over again. She remembered this time, the focus, turning into Ragnerok, Lightning and the others that had become her friends. The fal’cie, Orphan, their focus…and…Cocoon.
Reaching her fingers to grab her lance, she pulled herself to her feet and glanced around, instantly knowing she was on Gran Pulse. “Ahh its good t’ be home.” She said in her accent. Glancing down, she saw that her brand was once again scorched. It didn’t excite her as much as it did Vanille though. The last time she had awoken her brand had been scorched over, but what of Vanille’s brand? Fear constricted her heart. NO! She could not bloody go through with that again. She flexed her muscles, wondering if she was hurt in any way, but it did not appear so.
That was when she, just like Vanille, wondered if she still had her summon. Lifting her hand she saw her own crystal appear. “G’day mate, I thought I’d lost ya’.” She said softly as she jumped up and sliced at the crystal with her lance. Dropping down to the ground again, she watched as the crystal took the form of her beloved Bahamut. The smile on her face heightened as Bahamut dropped do the ground. Lifting her hand, Bahamut once again became the small crystal. So she still had that ability.
Turning, Fang walked until she could see the crystal form of Cocoon. She smiled then, “We did it.” With that she raised a fist in the air and shouted her pleasure. “Yee-haw!” She said before laughing, lifting her face and closing her eyes as she enjoyed the sunshine. Now, to find Vanille, things wouldn’t be right without her best friend. Besides, she had to see if this fantasy was just that…a fantasy, or if it was reality and she would actually get to enjoy life again. Words: 735 Muse: good Notes: weeeeehhooooo

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Standing on Gran Pulse…Vanille was on Gran Pulse! This focus was finally completed the right way. They had saved Cocoon and that feeling inside…just made her feel amazing, the best she had felt in a long time. As she stared at the crystallized Cocoon she smiled to herself and folded her arms across her chest, feeling the warm sun on her back. “It really was a miracle…” She whispered to herself as she turned around and started walking away from the giant planet crystallized right in front of her. Now to find Fang…or anyone she knew on this planet…maybe she’d run into Hope or Sazh even, that would be great…to be reunited with them all, the people she had grown to know inside and out, to love and care for…her family. She’d find them all, maybe not today, or tomorrow, but someday, they’d be back together once more with a less dark future ahead of them. Walking away from Cocoon Vanille looked around. It seemed the people were getting along fairly well on Gran Pulse…it wasn’t changed that much since they all had last been here. Wildlife still roamed the lands, vicious and bloodthirsty as ever with all these new people around, but it was still same old Pulse. Closing her eyes and humming a bit, Vanille’s arms swayed at her side as she was truly happy. No stress on her shoulders anymore and no more focus to worry about. As she kept walking at a steady pace she heard something loud and cheerful…and in a voice very familiar to her. ‘Ye-haw!’She heard it and her sharp green eyes flicked open as she stared ahead, the distance was great but there she saw Fang. Vanille’s eyes lit up like a Christmas tree as she instantly went sprinting towards her best friend, waving her arms around like a complete idiot she stopped every now and then to jump up and wave or something before continuing on to Fang. “Hey!!! Fang!!!” She yelled in her high pitch happy voice as she neared in on Fang. This was absolutely fantastic! Both her and Fang had come back alive and well, and…scorched. As Vanille made it to where they were only feet from each other she took in deep breaths, resting her hands on her knees and looking up at Fang. “Fang…we’re…we’re…” She started between breaths before she just got too over excited and leaped at her friend, wrapping her in a giant hug. “we did it…we saved Cocoon.” She chimed happily as she pulled herself away and the smile never left her face since she awoke. [~Lithe Dragoon~] I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her! Fang stood there and looked at the thing that meant her and Vanille had succeeded. It felt good, finally something had worked out for them. Not if only she could find Vanille. She had to know if Vanille’s brand was scorched over. Or if she was even alive again. It would be cruel if she figured out that Vanille hadn’t been brought back. But she had to slow down! Forcing herself to have better thoughts, she tried to think of Vanille’s face when she figured out they didn’t have a focus, or that they had succeeded with their last one. Filling her lungs with air…Gran Pulse air…was just about the best thing she had done in 500 years. Suddenly a voice she knew altogether to well shouted out.
Vanille!
Spinning around on her heel she caught sight of the red haired woman she had grown up with. “Vanille!!!” She shouted back, waving he hand wildly in the air and forcing herself not to start bouncing up and down. She took a few running steps toward Vanille before stopping and opening her arms wide. Vanille ran into her and Fang almost fell down with the force that was behind that hug. But she didn’t mind, actually, she was flying with happiness. Her mind was swimming with it.
“I know! Isn’t it greaat?” She drawled out, arms wrapped around her little sister. Drawing back a bit, she held her at arms length, just looking at her, so overcome with emotion that she could hardly talk without bursting into tears. “Alroight!” She burst out, “We can accomplish anything when we set our minds to it.” She spoke out with a laugh before turning her shoulder to Vanille. “Mine’s scorched, how ‘bout yours?” She asked a bit worriedly, glancing down to where Vanille’s brand was covered by her outfit. “I’m so happy were back! How long do you think it’s been this time?” Words: 452 Muse: meh Notes: lol mine is shorter and I have no excuse so...xD

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Seeing Fang…seeing her alive and well, it was a great thing! It made Vanille even happier than she already was…if that was even possible. Her smile was as wide as it could stretch and she was so giggly and happy. “We…we made a promise to save Cocoon…and we actually did it!” It was unbelievable…the way things had turned out. A true miracle. Vanille just couldn’t get over that! All those times they almost gave into failure…into becoming cie’th…they disappeared and Vanille was overjoyed. As Fang held her at arm’s length, Vanille just sniffled a few times, almost too happy to bear it. “Fang…” She whispered as her hands flew to her face to stop her happy tears, or from stopping herself from looking like a happy fool. “We really can do anything! Wishes can come true…” Vanille whimpered a bit before giggling some and wiping her eyes. “I look and sound like a blubbering fool don’t I?” She smiled trying to get herself to stop before looking down at her leg when Fang asked about her brand. “Mine’s scorched as well…we finally did things right.” She said lifting her skirt a bit so you could see the scorched brand. Although they could progress at any time…for now they were safe and not tied to a focus. ”Um…I don’t think it’s been that long. It seems people are settling on Pulse…not all the way there but started at least…so maybe a year? Give or take a few months?” She said unsure as she looked around the area, pressing her hand to her chin in a thoughtful way as she examined the area. An idea came to mind. “Hey! Maybe now that people are settling here…maybe we can rebuild Oerba…wouldn’t that be nice?” She said happily with a minor fist pump as the ideas suddenly sparked in her head. Oh how nice it would be now that this focus was done…but what of the Fal’Cie…? Had all the Cocoon Fal’cie been destroyed? Vanille hoped so, especially Barthandules…otherwise known as Galenth Dysley. The Pulse Fal’Cie seemed to be intact, maybe not the ones the l’cie had destroyed on their journey to Oerba…but everything seemed in tip top shape around here. “I wonder where Light and the gang are…I hope they are alright…” She said letting her eyes glaze over a bit as she stared off into the distance. “And…Fate…I wonder where he is…back on his own world i’m assuming..”Words: 536 Muse: Good Notes: Anytime Loon wants to join in...go for it

[~Lithe Dragoon~] I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her! The smile on Fang’s face was larger then it had been since they were made l’cie the first time. For now, no focus, no Cocoon problems, no worries, just themselves. And they were on their beloved Gran Pulse. She remembered Hope calling it hell and smiled, it might be hell to him, but to her it was home and she loved it. You had to be strong to survive on Pulse, but survive her and Vanille had, even through everything they had gone through. “We survived, we got through everything that was pushed at us…I kinda can’t believe it. I’m sorry for when I pushed you to do things that you didn’t want to.” She burst out, wrapping her arms around Vanille one more time. She had to get that out in case she never had a chance again, although hopefully they never had to go through anything like that again.
She actually laughed when Vanille asked if she looked like a blubbering fool. “Maybe a little bit, but that’s ok because out of both of us it’s definitely me that’s the fool.” Green eyes twinkled for the first time and she took a deep breath. She wanted to burst into tears herself when Vanille said her own brand was frozen. Her tough exterior wouldn’t let her though, and so she just stood there grinning like an idiot, almost in a daze. She nodded at Vanille’s logic. “Yeah, Pulse doesn’t look tamed at all. Which believe me, I’m glad for. I don’t want Pulse looking like Cocoon everywhere. I want it to be rugged, untamed, that’s more my style.”
She smiled at Vanille’s enthusiasm to rebuild Oerba. It would be nice, the place they had grown up rebuild to its former glory. Although it had never been like the cities on Cocoon. “Oerba will always have a special place in my heart, it would be nice to be able to see it rebuilt. Growing up there really made us who we are today. I’ll never forget that place.” She said affectionately. Fang nodded, she’d love to see the rest of ‘the gang’ that she had finally accepted as her friends. At first she had hesitated, worried that being close to them, but once she had finally seen that they were there for her, she had grown close to them. She understood Lightning probably the most out of them all, having spent the most time with her and knowing having to act tough and not give in to what was happening around her. She had the most respect for her, but she liked the rest of them, even if she did think a lot of their actions were stupid. “I’m sure they’re still here, we’ll find ‘em, they’re too stubborn to die. I bet they’re livin’ high off the hog and bossing around the Cocoon citizens.”
She let her eyes drop at the mention of Fate. At first she had been angry that he would hurt Vanille more by growing close though they could never be together. But now they could be together. She laid a hand behind Vanille’s head and smiled at her, “I’m sure he’ll be around, he cared a lot about ya’. Just watch, he’ll come around looking, he’d better.” She said with a smile. If he didn’t come soon she was going to go to wherever he lived and drag him back here. She was man enough to admit she was wrong about him and Vanille never having a chance. And if he came back she would apologize for the harsh way she had acted around him. They might even be able to go on that ‘father and boyfriend camping trip’ he had come up with. She chuckled at that idea…wouldn’t that just beat all.

A few months ago Fate had decided to do something extremely stupid which turned out to be one of the best choices he had made to date. Jumping through an unknown portal was not people's idea of fun, but the way Fate saw it was he was getting nowhere on him home world. He had to make himself useful, he had to make something of himself. Sadly, he had dragged along his only friend. That would be the only thing that he would change about the whole experience. He had enter Cocoon, fought Ultimecia, and helped Vanille in her quest. He had done more in those four months that he had did in his whole entire life to that point.
In had been the best four months of his life. He had met Angeal, who was strict, but it was nice to know that there was someone out there that he could look to as a big brother figure. Vanille who was the coolest and sweetest person he had met and she had those amazing eyes. Then there was Fang... She was lovely at times as long as Fate watched what he said. He was not very good at watching what he was saying. I should totally go hit her while she's in that crystal state for being mean to me... Ten dollars says she'll get out of that state and stab ya. I wouldn't put it pass her.
Now that Vanille and Fang were both crystals there was no reason for Fate to stay in this world. They would not awake for five hundred years and Fate was positive he would not live that long. So that left him with only two choices; find the fountain of youth or just move on. He highly doubt that he would find the fountain of youth so that left him with the latter. Moving on was not something that Fate wanted to do, but he was happy that Vanille would be a crystal and one day return to life instead of being a mindless mother. She enjoy her life with Fang. But Fate decided that he would stay here for a while and try to help the people adjust to Gran Pulse and help out where needed.
He was basically doing his same routine that he had been doing for the pass few months; wake up, help build a few households, play with some of the children, and eat! It was pretty simple, but it did make Fate feel useful. He decided to take a from all that and enjoy the sights of Gran Pulse only to run into some of those cute, fluffy sheep. "....Guess I'll chill with you guys today." Fate picked up one of the sheeps and placed in on his head as he marched behind the others. He didn't think twice about where these sheeps could be going, he just followed.
After a few minutes of walking, Fate realize that they were heading in the direction of the crystalized Vanille and Fang. As he grew closer he could her two familiar voices that he could never mistake for anyone else. Those accents! He arrived just at the end of the conversation between the two Pulsians, tilting his head to the side. Luckily, he caught the sheep on his head before it fell to its doom. Was that really Fang and Vanille or was his mind just playing tricks on him. He was pretty positive that he wasn't that crazy.
A huge smile formed on the boy's face as he slowly approached them. "I'm surprise you two even remember this Fate guy after five hundred years," He shrugged, "I've heard that he's stubborn and annoying. Anway, what would you do to this Fate if he happen not to show up Fang? He placed the other sheep on the ground and let it return to its brothers and sister. Okay, all Fate had to do was play it cool, right? He scooped Vanille up into a big embraced and kissed on her on the forehead. "I brought the kids... I think they missed you too." Fate smiled slightly before turning his attention to Fang. He had a huge grin upon his face and he opened his arms for a big hug, walking toward her. "C'mon. Let's hug it out. I've missed you too."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille shook her head a bit at Fang. “No…don’t apologize…Fang, if you didn’t push…if no one did…things could’ve been a lot worse.” She said with a reassuring smile towards her best friend…no harm no foul. “We had made a promise…to protect Cocoon…and that I think changed our fate…we decided for ourselves what our focus was…” and then the hugging started again, Vanille was one for hugs all the time so she just giggled and hugged back. “You worry too much…now that this Focus thing is done with…do you think you’ll relax a bit? Take time to stop and smell the roses?” Vanille said before she pulled away from the hug and placed her hands on her hips, a cheery smile still on her face as she cocked her head to the side like a puppy would. “I want to see you happy again…like we were before this focus…maybe even race some chocobos!” She giggled happily…happy…that was the key feeling right now, everyone was happy. When Fang said Vanille looked a little like a blubbering fool, and called herself the real fool, Vanille just stomped her foot. “Fang! Stop it! Stop blaming yourself like that…it’s…really killing the great moment here…just be happy okay? You are a great person and everyone makes mistakes or does things they don’t want to…fact is we saved Cocoon…everyone…plain and simple.” She said almost frowning a bit trying to get Fang to be a little less hard on herself right now…though she figured it was worthless, Fang was stubborn that was for sure. “I don’t think Pulse will change that much…maybe a little, but still on the wild side as always…” now coming back to her happy mood Vanille turned in a slow circle looking at the area around them. “This is home…I love it exactly the way it is…and Oerba! It being rebuilt would probably…make me even more happy! If that’s possible.” She said with a wide grin once more, rebuilding the school house, the homes everything…it would be just like before the war of transgression. “I can’t wait to see them all again! Hope…Sazh everyone!” Then Vanille gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth. “I wonder if Serah and Snow got married!” She squealed even with her hands over her mouth. “I hope not…at least not yet! I want to be there!” She exclaimed as she dropped her hands to her sides and calmed herself down a bit, she was getting too excited, but that was expected. “And Fate…If he isn’t around here…then I’ll just have to find a way to find him myself!” She said with a small fist pump and happy grin as she felt the need to do a dozen cartwheels with how happy and energetic she was right about now…but if you think she’s happy now…just wait. In the distance…a white fluffy creature was there…getting closer and closer, and as it got closer, the creature got more clear as it sat on someone’s head. It didn’t take more than five seconds for this all to register in Vanille’s head before her eyes light up and she squealed once again in a burst of happiness. "Fate!!!" Before getting the chance to have and epic moment to run to Fate…he was already there, hugging her and kissing her on the forehead, Vanille just didn’t have the words. It was like…well Fate had brought them all here…Fate as in destiny you know. “This is incredible! I…can’t believe you’re here! I must be dreaming.” And then when Fate then went over to Fang and held his arms open she giggled, this was too good to be true. Words: 759 Muse: Great Notes: None

[~Lithe Dragoon~] I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her! Fang held up her hands about chest level and smiled, “Ok I won’t apologize, we did protect Cocoon and Gran Pulse, it just shows that l’cie don’t just have to be mindless slaves, wandering around, waiting for their time to come.” She smiled at the look Vanille was giving her as she insisted she relax a bit, and…stop and smell the roses? She tried to look away so she wouldn’t have to promise that but she couldn’t. She hugged her back and gave her what she hoped was a reassuring smile, “Yeah, I’ll relax a bit, but we are still in Gran Pulse, gotta keep on our toes. But I think there’s room to race some chocobos in there.” The look on her face was a little bit devilish, “Of course, don’t even get the idea that you’re gonna win, because my chocobos are always going to win.” That was teasingly spoken because they seemed to be about even as to who would win.
She laughed outright then, “Keep you’re skirt on Vanille, I was trying to make YOU feel better, not trying to ruin the mood.” That was spoken with a ruffle of the hair and a grin. Vanille got touchy apparently about her trying to be a little bit humble. Well ok then, she would stop. She glanced around, “Wild, Unyielding, I like it that way, it’s a challenge…and you’re right, it’s also what home has always been like.”
Vanille was getting caught up in wonder, “Well I guess we’re just going to have to find them and ask hmm? But you’re right, I’ll kick that hero’s butt if he made us miss out on it, after all that blabbering on his part about Serah, I find I really want to meet this girl.” She turned around as a squeal left Vanille’s lips and she charged towards Fate. She smiled then, faintly, but her eyes twinkled. She herself was thinking about the man she had met while still on Cocoon, Angeal his name was. They’re conversation had been interesting, and now that she was free from her focus…she found she would like to see him again as well. She watched them embrace and crossed her arms, averting her eyes and looking up into the sky. For once…she was glad she had pushed Vanille to do something she hadn’t wanted to do. If not…then they would have just ended up Cie’th and never would have found the joy of here and now.
He asked her what she would have done…of course he would still be joking around. Arms were still crossed as she stood there; eyebrow raised and just watched him. As he turned towards her she kept her arms crossed. “I would have come kicked you’re butt for not being here, and that…is a promise.” She said with a faint little smile invading her mouth. A…hug? She laughed and held her hands out, palms up, “Oh no no no, I’ll leave the huggin’ up to you two.” She said with a smile on her face. But he kept coming closer and too late she realized she would have to back up to get away from a hug. The look on her face was a bit priceless as she resigned herself to ‘fate’ and hugged him. After a few moments she pushed him back, ruffling his hair, “I think that’s enough hugging for me don’t ya think?”

((Yeah, Fate is NOT going on a camping trip with Fang. Pulse is Fang's home. She knows all the places to hide Fate's dead body when she's done killing him. No thank you! And don't evar tough Fate's hair! >:[ )) So Vanille was actually happy to see Fate. That was a big relief! Since she did not have a focus holding her down anymore Fate was sure she would be moving on to better things, things and people much better than him. Tch! Dreaming? I've believe they're called nightmares if i'm involved," He smiled, "It's cool though. I'll be the best nightmare you ever had." And now Fate was regretting asking what Fang would have done if he was not here. After everything that had happen he had strong reason to believe that Fang would somehow find him and kick his butt for not being here. She might enjoy it to since he did make her suffer his full annoying attitude when they first met instead of easing it on her. "Well, I'd try not to enjoy your kicking my butt too much," He said, "But you can't kick my butt now. I'm here and you actually like me now, right?"
"You smell great for someone who hasn't bathe in four months!"As Fang accepted the hug, Fate body tensed up as he was expecting her to hit him or something. Instead, it was actually a nice hug until she pushed the boy away and ruffled his hair. What was she thinking! "Okay, i'll let the ruffling of the hair slide this time, but lets not make this a habit," He said, "It's not like I wake up and my hair just falls right into place." He shook his head a little, allowing his hair to fall back perfectly in place.
"I've been thinking over these couple of months Vanille... You never gave me that Gran Pulse sandwich. This is perfect because I thought I was going to have to wait five hundred years for one sandwich." Oh yes, he remembered. He started to step backwards and signaled for the two to follow him. It was nice to have them back 'awake' again. Now instead of sleeping all the time they could actually help with something. "So when you two, uh, when to sleep I tried to help the people here adjust... It's a work in progress, but it's a step forward."
After a short walk Fate led them to what was Oerba. Fate, with the help of the people, had renovated some of the homes and buidlings. He wanted to keep it as close as to the old Oerba or what he thought the old Oerba would be like. There were a few flowers here and there which Fate had no part in, but he would surely take credit or them. "Took forever to get the creatures to stay out of Oerba, but we finally did it... Well, sometimes we still have a problem with it, but it's nothing major. So... we tried to keep it as close to the original as possible, but if there's something that needed to be change just say the word."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.As long as Fang relaxed a little and wasn’t so…focused on things like before, things would be a little better at least right? Right now there wasn’t a focus to even worry about so she should feel relieved, Vanille was that was for sure. She giggled at the comment about chocobos, that was always a favorite activity, Chocobo racing was super fun, if you got a good fast chocobo. “Oh I’m sure I’ll find myself a nice chocobo…that will leave yours in the dust.” She said with a smile and a small fist pump as the thought entered her head, things would be different than the last time around, more time for fun and games than a focus. She then sighed heavily, but her tone wasn’t the least bit depressed or stressed, she was happy. “I can’t wait to get back to our lives…somewhat normally.”With a small nod Vanille just folded her arms across her chest, so…maybe she got a little dramatic about Fang ruining the mood. She just didn’t want her friend to feel bad about anything anymore, it was a new start for everyone nothing was held against you, especially if you just saved 2 worlds…all in one day. “I’m sorry Fang…I just…I guess I want YOU to feel better, not me…you held a lot of weight on your shoulders last time…I just want things to be happy again.” She said with a small shrug as she then folded her hands together and smiled a bit more. “And it’ll stay that way…no one will dare change Gran Pulse into a tamed, safe and boring environment.” No matter what the people wanted, they couldn’t change Pulse, they were lucky to even have this world to live on, and Vanille was more than gracious to let them stay…so long as they treated it right. Vanille nodded. “Right!” She said in agreement to asking them about Snow and Serah getting married yet or not. “I’ve met her once before…she was very nice…I do…need to apologize to her still.” She said as her eyes sank down to the ground some. She was the reason Serah was made into a Pulse L’Cie, she was the reason that started all of this…trying to forget and deny her focus before caused all the mayhem…though if she hadn’t done so, she never would’ve met Lightning, Sazh and the rest of them…and she was sure if she didn’t have a focus Fate would’ve have stuck around so much to help her…so maybe it was a good thing before? But she still felt the need to apologize. Okay so now Vanille’s smile was huge, she seemed to happy and what not, now if Lightning and the rest of the gang showed up it would be just a weird coincidence and it really would convince Vanille that she was dreaming…but that probably wouldn’t happen, this was good enough for her. “It can’t be a nightmare…I’m too happy.” She simply said before Fang actually hugged Fate, it made her smile and giggle a bit once Fate’s hair was ruffled, at least the two got along okay and Fang wasn’t trying to intimidate him…a lot. A sigh of happiness was released as she folded her hands together again and stepped closer over to Fate and Fang. Oh boy, the things you forget when you’re turned to crystal. But a rush of memories filled Vanille’s head at the sound of the word ‘sandwich’, the sheep, the chocobos everything from their trip around Pulse came back and she giggled a bit. “We’ll get you one sometime….don’t you worry.”The citizens of Cocoon…on Pulse…weren’t they scared of ‘the world below’? How were they coping with this new lifestyle? “I’m sure it is…how is everyone doing? Like…are they adjusting okay or is it really a big challenge?” She then turned to face Fang. “I wouldn’t blame them if they were having a hard time adjusting…I mean, Cocoon was so well protected and advanced…this is like a huge step backwards for them.” But she shrugged it off, it was their problem not hers, she’d help if she had to but as far as Gran Pulse goes…it was survival of the fittest. Now following Fate, Vanille wondered where they were going…Oerba, they had been fairly close to it in the first place and she still was a bit depressed at the sight of the crystal sand around the town until she caught sight of a few flowers. Flowers? Were they starting to come back now? Poking up through the sand and crystal the flowers were beautiful, just like before. Things were starting to fall into place…Oerba looked a little better than the last time they’d been here. “It’s wonderful…I’m just so glad to see flowers around here again! It’s like…Oerba will go back to its former glory days…”Words: 969 Muse: Good-ish Notes: *touches Fates hair and runs* >_>

~HighWind Nightmare~ "You want to keep breathing? Shut up and come quiet." Fang smiled at Vanille, trying to reassure her that she would take it more relaxed and she wouldn't be quite so hard on herself. Although she probably wouldn't hang around the Cocoon citizens to much. They bothered her, or at least some of them would. And the day any of them called Pulse hell was the day she told them just how lucky they were to even have a backup plan and not die when Cocoon had become crystallized. She nodded happily, “You're right, nothing had better happen to Gran Pulse in regards to turning into another Cocoon, I'll personally take out anyone that suggests the idea.” She said quietly, her green eyes determined, “I like it wild here, the ruggedness...it makes me feel free, not caged in like I felt in Cocoon.”
Fang just smirked, “No, I suppose I can't kick you're butt since you're here. Lucky for you.” She said lightly, almost cheerfully, or as cheerfully as Fang could be. She shrugged at his next question, “I suppose I don't have a choice. Although call me Ms. Fang one time and you're gonna regret it.” She was only slightly teasing, she hated that formality, Fang worked just fine, besides it fit her. It you wanted to call her something formal, go with her full name, Oerba Yun Fang. She raised her brows when he told her never to ruffle the hair again. An almost sinister look crossed her face and she had to restrain herself from not deliberately doing it again.
Vanille asked about the citizens and Fang must admit she had been thinking along the same lines. “Yeah, how'r the Cocoon people taking Gran Pulse? Scared outta their wits yet?” Vanille turned to her and she nodded in agreement, “In comparison to their horribly boring, completely uneventful and tame lives in Cocoon, I bet they're having a horrible time adjusting.” That almost evil look crossed her face again, oh how fun it would be to create chaos amount them. The scary Pulse l'cie residing among them, their only hope to being able to survive. They would get picked off one by one if there was no one to protect them. “Oh well, their loss if they don't like it here, although they don't really have that much of a choice, Gran Pulse is their only home now, best they just accept that and get it over with.”
Finally they made it to Oerba? She smiled and knelt down to touch the same flowers Vanille was. She loved it here, it symbolized her and Vanille's childhood. They had met here, grown up here, everything until they had become l'cie was wrapped up in this village. How ironic that one day it might be full of Cocoon citizens. This had been the start of her hatred for Cocoon, and here it had been laid to rest. She smiled at the memory before just listening to Fate and Vanille carry on the conversation. Lifting her face to the sky, she soaked up the sun and gave a little sigh, her muscles relaxed. This was the life...back in Gran Pulse and no focus to ruin their lives with.
She glanced around and saw the changes, it was different from the last time they were here. Walking over to Fate, she laid a hand on his shoulder and looked into his eyes. They were about the same height, but she lifted her chin proudly and glanced into his eyes. Finally she nodded to him, Green eyes sparkling a bit, “Thank you Fate. I'm surprised anyone else would want to help restore Oerba. I appreciate it.” With that she dropped her hand and turning, walked away a bit. That was just about as soft as Fate would ever see her get around him. That was the greatest honor she could give to him, and she meant it, it meant a whole lot to her. ((Don't touch the hair!!! >.< My extremely good looks is the only thing I have going for me! And if I go on this camping trip ima need you not to be mean or heartless.)) "I see your logic is still flawless Vanille." It was great to feel like he was welcome, that he was actually apart of something. Instead of actually being on his home world where he was pretty much useless and had only one friend. The one friend he had left back on Cocoon to help another. Guilt had long hit the boy and he was filled up with it now. The only difference now was that he actually had time to think about it instead of trying to help Vanille. He truly was the worst friend ever. But as always, Fate never let his inner feelings show. He just kept his small grin upon his face and steady dished out his humor. I guess that is why Vanille and him understood each other so much.
"Tch! Lucky for you! Who says I was going to just let you kick my butt?" He said, teasing right back, "Don't let my pretty smile and fear of giant teddy bears fool you. I have taken down many super powerful beings before I've came to this world." Minus the part about facing many powerful beings. But Fate wouldn't call Fang Ms. ever again since she seemed not to like it all. It seemed like they got along just great since they whole focus thing was over with. Ya just gotta be careful with how ya treat Vanille if ya don't want to die...
"Hehehe. You should totally say 'alright' for me Fang. It will amuse me greatly." He smiled. He was not really picking at her accent, he actually found it really cool. It was just really funny how she said 'alright.' Fate shrugged at their question when they asked how the people of Cocoon were adjusting. Honestly, they were scared. A new land that they been told to fear for their entire lives was not something they welcome. "They're... Adjusting. People are still freaked, but there's a few who realize that crying about it isn't going to change anything. Honestly, they wanted to make this place like Cocoon, but I kinda talked them down from it for the moment. Told 'em we should just focus on making this place a home for now." He was sure that neither one of them would like the fact that someone was trying to completely change their home. Maybe they could make it a little like Cocoon and like Oerba, but Fate doubted Fang would allow that.
When they returned to Oerba, Fate smile grew even more wide when he saw that Fang and Vanille were extremely happy. He definitely had to make sure there was flowers here. He had remembered Vanille speaking about them from their first travel to Gran Pulse. "It was the less I could do. I wanted to try to help someway." He shrugged slightly. He was a little unease when Fang looked into his eyes and thank him. "Don't go getting all soft on me now Fang. I really like the tough love you dish out. It makes cry myself to sleep, but later I realize that you only mean the best for me."
Well, Fate did not want to ruin this great moment they were having, but it was best if he said this sooner than later. He swung his arms back and forward for a moment before opening his mouth to speak again. "So... I got to go find my friend. It's kinda--It's all my fault that he got suck into this world traveling stuff so it's my obligation to get him back home. Once I get him home I'll be back here if i'm welcomed back."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now. While swaying from side to side, shifting her weight from one leg to the other, Vanille imagined what she would do if these citizens even THOUGHT that they were going to make this like Cocoon. We all know Fang can be really tough and will definitely speak her mind, but Vanille…cute adorable sweet Vanille…you don’t want to see her angry. It was like you were doomed if you pissed off Vanille, she would flatten you so fast it wasn’t even funny…unless you were just watching and not doomed for the rest of your life. “Oh I have a strong feeling once the Cocoon citizens see us ‘Pulse L’Cie’ they wont dare upset us…especially since we’re kind enough to let them live here.” She said with a confirming nod, she wasn’t for the idea that much but hey, they needed someplace to stay for now…speaking of which, it sparked an idea in her head, if her and Fang came out of being crystal….maybe one day Cocoon would too? And go back up to floating above Gran Pulse? Maybe…it might just be some silly idea. Vanille just flashed a smile in Fate’s direction as he and Fang started to converse. It was so good to see them getting along. That was pretty much all Vanille wanted, she sure was glad Fang could stand Fate…or at least sucked it up and dealt with it, and that really did make Vanille happy and she continued to smile as they continued to talk some. She listened carefully as Fate talked about how the Cocoon people were taking to the land here. She imagined them scared out of their wits hiding behind Lightning and the gang or whoever else had some sort of weapon. There were a lot of beasts out here and there was no doubt in her mind that the citizens were having a hard time with them. A heavy sigh of relief escaped Vanille’s lips as he talked about talking the people out of making this place like Cocoon, though she was sure they wouldn’t give up on the idea. It was still nice to know there would be a delay before any major problems occurred….those problems being Fang and Vanille defending their home against the vipers…or citizens wanting to make this beautiful place as cold and unnatural like Cocoon was. After being dragged across many parts of Cocoon she had to admit, the place was okay, but never natural like Pulse, the closest thing to natural on Cocoon was the Sunleth Waterscape, full of flowers and creatures as far as you could see…but still, it was no Gran Pulse. On the plus side…Oerba! It was starting to pop up with flowers and that made Vanille’s day right there…that and the fact that Fate was here and her and Fang were no longer crystals! In fact…there was a lot that made her day today. Vanille’s expression went blank. So Fate was going to leave? She didn’t blame him, he had a friend to find. Her eyes glanced at Fang as she thought of the multiple times she dragged people around to find Fang, she thought for a moment before her eyes lit up with an idea. She giggled a bit and smiled once again. “Alrighty Fate, you go find your friend…but if you will let me, I’m coming with you. Consider it payback for all the help you gave me awhile back.” She said folding her hands together behind her back and leaning on her toes just waiting to see what Fate or even Fang would say at the idea. ~HighWind Nightmare~ ”“If you don't have the nerve for it, I'll do it myself! Go on alone, get stronger, and smash Cocoon out of the sky!”” Fang actually liked stepping back and watching Fate and Vanille together. Though Fate hadn't exactly been her favorite person in the world when she had met him, she found she actually didn't mind him so much. Of course, that wasn't to say he couldn't irritate her at times. Maybe with the new dawn came a different mind set. Like she actually had time to step back and smile and enjoy life like Vanille wanted her to. Yet it was hard. She was so used to pushing, being stubborn and going after her focus she wasn't quite sure how to act less tough. Maybe this was a start...not being irritated so easily with Fate. Really he hadn't been all that bad, of course, she wouldn't admit that to anyone. She had to keep up the tough girl reputation if she wanted to get anywhere.
Then she was a part of the conversation again. Fate asked her why he would allow her to just kick his butt. “Ya' know a friend of mine said something to me once. She said, it isn't a matter of can or can't, there's just some things in loife you just do...” She trailed off with an odd look when he went on about how he feared giant teddy bears. The hell?! He seriously...she could never tell when he was joking or being serious, so she just rolled her eyes and shrugged it off as Fate simply being Fate. She did that a lot with him...just Fate being Fate...it helped make his teasing seem less odd. Of course she was putting up a great effort to be civil to him since Vanille cared so much about him. She was more apt to be around someone like that Angeal Hewley she had met on Cocoon. Someone just as serious and deadly as she was.
Did he ever stop joking? She raised her brow when he asked her to say alright. She resisted the urge to smack her own forehead and heaved a big sigh. This whole being nice to Fate thing might get a bit hard at times. Although Fate would be protected as long as Vanille was there. The one person who could always stop her, no matter what, was Vanille. She couldn't resist the bright young woman she viewed as her sister...no, they were closer then sisters even. They had been through so much, but yet they had been victorious. She smiled, but decided she wouldn't say alright for him. When she said it, she said it, end of story.
Freaked out? That was probably the short version. She was sure they weren't adjusting at all. How could they when they had been fed so many lies about Gran Pulse? He talked them out of making it like Cocoon? If he hadn't Fang would have busted them up before she let them do something like that. Of course, she had Fate to thank. That went slightly against the grain, but she had already said thank you for Oerba, so why not for Gran Pulse. It wasn't easy swallowing her pride like that, but Fang did things she knew she should. And she should thank him. As far as she was concerned Gran Pulse would stay the way it always had! Cocoons fanciness might be nice to some people, but to her the vibrant untamed land should remain the way it always had. Still, she took in a deep breath and turned to Fate. In life Fang had never liked being pushed into doing something, but if it was a situation like this, she would do what needed to be done. “I guess I should thank you again. For Gran Pulse.” That was as far as she went, and with a curt nod, that was it.
Fate was going to leave? She quickly glanced over at Vanille and her hackles came up, if he was just going off to leave Vanille she wouldn't be happy. Not that every guy Vanille liked had to settle down and marry her, but a little more then 'glad your out of crystal, well I should be going.' would be appreciated. Yet she was fair, and so she just stood, waiting for him to either redeem himself or plunge in her books. She shouldn't have been surprised when Vanille voted to go with him. Fang opened her mouth to say 'hell no' but closed it again when she realized something. She had always been overprotective of Vanille, and now she had to let go of that. Vanille had changed in that last battle with the fal'cie. She wouldn't run anymore, and Fang had to respect that and let her go. It hurt...they had always been a team forever. But she knew, nothing lasted forever.
Clearing her throat, she thought she'd surprise them with not actually protesting. “I have a few requests on that subject...” she started out, eyes firm and unyielding. “First. Anything goes wrong you come back and get me and I'll help. Second. This one is for you Fate...if you happen to find a man named Angeal Hewley...tell him...tell him he was right. I survived, and remind him of his promise. And third...Come back alroight? Don't make me worry for to long about you.” That was directed to Vanille, and with the most tender look she had ever given, she opened her arms to Vanille and tried to smile.
