"The city of Edge?" Sonuske repeated, totally unfamiliar with the name. He turned to Squall, hoping he had the answer to his newly formed question. "You ever hear of Edge?" He figured since Squall was quite the adventurer, he'd know something about it. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted another black haired man sneaking a bottle of water. He could've said something, but he decided against it for a number of reasons.
"And just how did you know it was a bar? Luckily, this isn't the type of bar that fills people who barge in full of holes!" Sonuske countered, clenching his teeth and his right hand. But stopped after glancing at Marlene who clearly seemed unhappy about the whole spat. She wasn't supposed to see that! He turned to his sister, who had approached them as well. "Yeah, best of friends. No problem at all." He said, turning away from Fate, sticking his hands back in hs pockets.
He turned back to the girl, who had introduced herself as Marlene and gave her a smile. "Nice to meet you Marlene, I'm Sonuske." He introduced, still finding the fact that a little girl running a bar was a little out there. But, it was just till whoever Cloud and Tifa were returned. "Do you know when you're Aunty Tifa will be back?"

Matsu had just gotten finished with her tasteful cookie that the little girl, Marlene who had been working there temporarily. She heard the guy Fate telling her that there was no problem and that the two were the best of friends. And it seemed that Sonuske had agreed to what he was saying and ended up saying the same thing. Matsu didn't believe a word the two wer saying. She could tell by the way Sonuske had been trying to mumble under his breath to fight. But, Matsu has the ears of a hawk, maybe better. She can hear almost anything and can sense the type of tone the person uses, especially her brother(s?). "Marlene you don't have to worry about these two, I have everything under control, so please don't get over-worked or worried about any fights breaking loose." Matsu said while smiling at her. She waited for Marlene to walk away so she could finish talking to these imbeciles. "Listen , I have known you too well to know that there was nothing going on here, I mean I wasn't born yesterday. See boys we're either gonna do this the easy way or the hard way, so one of you tell me what is going on or I'm going to put so much oxygen in your head that it'll burst... So what's it gonna be?" She questioned as her pupils started to disappear and her whole eyeball turned black. This usually happens when Matsu has a sense to kill. While she had been waiting for one of them to answer. She seen a dark blue haired guy walking getting a bottled water. She wanted to be nice for a moment before ending someones life, but she thought him and her weren't gonna get off on the right foot. "Hmmph, that guy looks like someone I've seen before... I just can't put my finger on it.." She thought to herself.

They were in Edge? Fate was silent for a moment as he thought to himself. Fate was pretty sure there was no place called Edge back on his home world. He also doubted that it would be the name of this bar. Nero wasn't crazy! A huge grin made its way across Fate's face as he let out a laugh. He would have jumped for joy, but he didn't want to scare the child. "This is so... Awesome!" Awesome couldn't describe how Fate felt right now. He couldn't put it in words, he just knew he was happy. Fate finally notice the guy, Angeal, sitting down by himself. He must be the guy running this place... He don't look very friendly so let's leave him be... Besides, this girl has cookies! But his sideburns are awesome... Look at 'em!
"No, i'm not from around Ms. Marlene," Fate answered, "You wouldn't believe where I came from if I told you though." Fate would have believed it either if he hadn't experienced it. He turned to Sonuske and laughed slightly. Of course Fate didn't know what type of bar it was, but life was about taking chances. Fate thought that Sonuske had known him long enough to know that. He then turned to Matsu as she spoke and gave her that blank expression. Maybe she had Sonuske, her brother, under control, but Fate was a free man. He snickered slightly. "Seriously Ms. Marlene. No fights here. This guy's like a brother to me," He smiled, "But sometimes he acts like a pans-- poopy-head. He didn't want to come here, but if we didn't we wouldn't have met you."
He smiled at Marlene, but then Matsu started to speak again. Fate tilted his head to the side slightly with a puzzled expression upon his face. He then turned to Sonuske and tapped him on the shoulder. "Something's wrong with your sister man..." He said softly, "Why is she threatening me and she does even know me!?" When Marlene said the cookies were free, Fate nearly jump out of his skin to push Sonuske out of the way to get one. He grabbed one of the cookies and took a bite, enjoying every moment. "These are great! You're so young and you're already a better cook then me," Fate smiled, "Not only that, but you're also running the bar. I'm so jealous of you."

Angeal finished off his bottle of water and turned around allowing his elbows to rest on the counter. He looked down at the bottle in his hand and took into the account the shape and texture. Surely this was sufficient for what he was about to do. Nothing fancy, or violent, Angeal took the bottle cap off and gracefully flipped over the bar to refill his bottle for another drink. He made sure not to make a sound as he heard Marlene say she was in charge. He grabbed the faucet and twisted it running water into the container. 'You do not see me... You do NOT see me', he thought looking at his bottle filling up and looking at the people at the other end of the bar. Angeal jumped back over onto his stool, without a sound. The SOLDIER training showcased itself here.
Angeal took a sip before sitting his bottle on the counter and picking up his blade, sure enough it was just as huge as it had been the day before. He grabbed a cloth on the small rail attached to the opposite side of the bar pore some of his pilfered water on it and began to polish the blade. Every few seconds he would look up and over to the group to his side. They were seemingly gleeful in the consumption of the baked goods they had just been given. Which raised an important piece of information. Angeal hadn't filled his stomach since he came back alive.
''Excuse me, Young one'', he said in a deep voice to gain the little girl's attention, Angeal never really one for manners. ''Is there anything here to eat? Or is alcohol all you sell here?'', he asked in his monotone same old voice. He asked it so loud that anybody in the bar could hear him.

Jane walked in the bar seeing a group of humans inside. The smell of them had give her a little thirst but some of the scents were somewhat repulsive. Jane would've attacked but she doesn't feed on humans. "Hmmm, I smell cookies I wonder who's eating them." She thought. Jane look around checking her surroundings.
She walked up to the bar and seen a little girl working. Jane thought she must have been lost and looking for her parent(s) and/or guardian. But it seemed as if she was working here. "Excuse me uhmm, I would like to order something to drink please." She said with her neutral looking face that never changes. It never occurred to Jane to smile or use any other expression. She thought expressions were a waste of time and meaningless. She doesn't find most things funny. Jane is not really amused by anything like others. She may find the death of an enemy or opponent amusing but nothing else in particular.
Jane turned around while waiting for the little one to reciprocate her an answer. Jane peeked at the group of people standing nearby the entrance of the bar. She just realized there as only one girl in the crowd of boys. She thought maybe it was either awkward or comfortable to be around all of them. Jane wanted to have a little fun and use her ability to read whether or not they have any special power of some sort. "Hmmm, lets start with the pineapple head boy." Jane thought.
She began to see his ability to manipulate shadows. "So he has the ability to manipulate shadows. What a useless power." She mumbled. She found that power meaningless because she knew it wouldn't be a match for her superior like skills. "Well on to the next." She said with her usually low dragging voice.
The reason Jane was doing this is because she would want to see who would be the strongest out of their little posse. After she was done she would later on try to fight them and go hunting afterwards. Jane looked at the girl with the long red orange hair and began to read her ability. "An air manipulator. She's also fond in different types of martial arts. This one may seem like a worthy opponent." She thought. Jane reached for a napkin, she thought it was the only thing closer to paper up there.
She started to moves her hands quickly making an origami butterfly. Jane looked at the other guy standing next to the pineapple head boy and sensed a great bundle of cockiness inside of him. She hated stuck up people who thought the were better than everyone in every way. Those are the types of humans that annoy here she sometimes has the urge to kill them with on thought. But then she realizes how taking someone's life could be wrong but yet soo entertaining. Jane stared at the red head and thought about he somewhat worthy powers.
She had gotten confused and annoyed at how she thought that how her powers were more useful than a group of males. Jane knew what she would end up doing to the girl. She wants to fight her and see if she is a match for her powers. "Hmmph, I hope she's ready for a little surprise!" Jane whispered to herself. She placed an evil looking grin on her face. Jane felt weird for a moment, because she actually changed her facial expression.

Marlene was honestly starting to get a small headache. There were so many people around! Usually, there were hardly any people here, unless Tifa was around. But, today, there were just so many that she was kind of overwhelmed. And, the people here didn't even seem to know where they were, which only added to her confusion. She realized, though, that her face must have given off some sort of discontent because they were fighting. She quickly changed that to a smile so that they wouldn't leave because she was acting rude. "Fights?" She questioned, looking over at the orange haired lady that had talked to her. She looked familiar, but she just couldn't place her finger as to why.
And, then, there was another arrival, this time of a lady without any smile or frown or anything on her face. She placed her hand on her head for a moment before smiling brightly at her. "Welcome!" She said, waving her hand. "There are plenty of seats around. I'll be with you in a...moment." She said, her voice trailing off a little as she addressed the bigger group just standing there. "I'm not worried about any fights, you know." She stated. "You should be the ones to worry about what'll happen to you if you get in a fight." She blinked at Fate, remembering his earlier words. "That's what a lot of people say. That I wouldn't believe. Well, I know a lot of people from a lot of places." She turned her attention back to the man who had introduced himself as Sonuske with a frown on her face. It was one thing when she addressed Tifa as Aunty Tifa, but it was another thing to hear it coming from someone else, especially when that person didn't seem to know Tifa and Cloud at all. "No, but I'm sure it'll be soon if you're going to cause trouble..."
Marlene tilted her head when the newcomers standing in front of her began to talk amongst themselves. She was tempted to go and get a rag and begin cleaning the tables, or go to the lady who had just walked in and ask if she needed anything, but she was snapped back to attention when Fate jumped forward to grab a cookie. She smiled slightly, giggling under her breath, before proceeding to get a rag and come back just in time to hear what he said. "I learned from watching Aunty Tifa." She shrugged, flushing slightly from the compliment. "Jealous? Of me?" She felt her face turn slightly more red. "B-but...You get to go around and travel! I barely get to leave the bar..." She shook her head and turned around, just in time to hear another voice call out to her. It was the man who had gotten the water. She shivered slightly before making her way over to him, the rag on her shoulder just in case she saw some dirt or a messy table. "Well, I'd have to ask what you wanted to I could go and check, or make something..." She blinked and smiled slightly. "Have anything in mind, Mr...?"

He sighed and shook his head; slightly disappointed in Fate. Yes, the boy had found a local who would talk, but that didn't excuse the fact that he ran off. "That's not the point," He said, the words barely escaping his lips. Squall also remember that he wasn't the best suited with children under the ages of thirteen. He just didn't come off as a nice guy, he guessed. And most children tend to annoy him. He shook his head slightly at Sonuske. "... There's no such place..." On their home world, that is. Squall was up to date with the georgraphy of their world, the locations. Never once had he heard of this City of Edge. Only one thing came to mind now... ... Ultimecia!!! Could she had still been alive and this be the results of her trying to time compress once again? No, they had killed her. No reason to panic...
It was apparent that Fate was happy about this. This situation seems to be getting more worst by the minute. Along with the appearance of this strange guy (Angeal) another female decided to join. From the looks of it the two weren't together. "We're not here to cause trouble... Marlene," He said, "We're just trying to get home." How would they get home? Common sense told Squall to just go back to where they had landed and prayed a portal would appear again. But would that portal take them back home or to a different world again?
One thing was clear, Squall wasn't letting Fate get away from him again. He walked over to Fate and placed his left hand on his neck, placing a firm grip. "You're staying with me." He pulled out a chair and pushed Fate down into a seating position.

Lights danced in an immense variety of colours, some he could not grasp nor recognise, yet they danced none the less, his sight filled with unfamiliarity and mind overwhelmed with a sense of change and distraught. It was an odd feeling, one he could no explain properly, nor could he explain properly how it had come to pass over him, but it had and if he had learnt anything from his years in of training. Be prepared for any outcome. This feeling did not last however, it was short but it felt longer. After a few more moments of this unexplainable event everything went dark, no flashes, no wearying concepts he could not understand, simply a blackness taking over his sight, and the sounds of various mechanical objects working, people walking and chatting, perhaps an animal or two scurrying about. Slowly, oh so very slowly, his green eyes reopened to envelop this new light, or lights as it seemed to be, scattered about in every which way. The smell, the temperature, the feel… What was going on?
Rasler Heios Nabradia, Lord of Nabradia and Husband to Princess Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca, slowly pushed himself to his feet. He had found himself sat against a wall in a dark ally way. People seemed to travel of either side of the ally, though none passed down his way. His eyes took some moments to adjust as he gazed around, this place was irregular, strange, and it felt almost dangerous. It was not long before he realised his Second Fasfa, and the guardsman he had accompanying him were no where to be seen. Were they in trouble? He could not tell, though he trusted they could easily handle themselves where ever they were. His mind drifted back, or tried to, to what occurred before he awoke in this strange place. He was travelling to Dalmasca via Airship with his men, and they were attacked. He could not recall what by, or what it did, but before he knew it he was spinning through an endless stream of lights and colours, and lastly he was here. The Prince placed a hand on the hilt of the sword at his hip, the Blade of Dalmasca to make sure it was there and safe before sighing to himself. ‘Whatever mess I have come to be in, I shall… I must find my way to return home, I must return to Ashelia.’ With his resolve burning, he marched out of the ally way and into the streets of Edge.
One of the things he noticed first upon taking stride to the streets were the large differences in his clothing compared to those around him. Of course he was wearing his white and golden armor, trimmed with blue velvet for patterns around his belt, and his long white cloak flowing behind him; so generally his clothes would automatically differ from those not of royalty. However this was different, they had things he was unfamiliar with, talking with pieces of black metal held to their ears, ticking bands on their wrists, logoed boots with strange symbols. Perhaps wherever he was was a place in Ivalice which exercised strange customs. One thing he was not unfamiliar with was the people looking towards him. He was used to it in Dalmasca and Nabradia, it was not like he was not known to the majority of the populace, however it seemed different here, it was as if they found his own choice of attire very irregular and even amusing to some. He chose to ignore it, as he continued down the streets, his noble stride soon leading him towards a building which had a sign labelled to its’ front. ‘Seventh… Heaven?’ Perhaps it was an inn of some kind, a place where he could resupply and find rest. His train of thought was cut short by the blathering of a large man not far off to his left, coming up the road towards the Seventh Heaven.
‘Wassup with this’un ‘ere eh? Gotta have some pretty gil on ‘im ‘ey lads” Bellowed the stranger. Raslers’ calming green eyes lingered over to the large man, somewhat of the round scale, with a number of men at his sides. They appeared to be some sort of gang. Rasler turned to face them, both hands resting on the hilt of his sword, which caused the men to flinch, their hands going into pockets and belts feeling for their own little tools of death, though they were caught off guard to see Rasler simply offer a small bow, before his hands returned to his sides. “Good men. I am here for no quarrels, simply shelter and regain my strength. Tell me, where can I find the Lord, or perhaps mayor of this city, I am Rasler Heios Nabradia, Lord, I must urgently speak with him.” There were some good moment s of silence, before a roughish laughter, followed by many others echoed from the scruffy looking men. Raslers’ brow slightly tipped downwards in question, was what he said in some form amusing? It was not too long before the larger one spoke once again. “Wha’ da’ ‘ell is this pretty boy punk ass’ jabbin’ ‘bout, we’d oughta knock yer damn face in, boy.” His laughter soon returned, as he chuckled words with humorous grunts. “Oi Gnasher, mess ‘im up” Without much warning, one of the men, his hair a deep red coloured and spiked upwards like blades launched forward swinging a bent piece of metal in a reckless flurry of blows. Raslers’ eyes widened for a moment at the sight of attacker, his blade steadily drawing free to block the onslaught. His sword caught the metal pole mid swing, knocking it back to give the Prince room to prepare his guard. “I see, you are thieves then, or perhaps thugs.” The angelically handsome prince flicked his eyes between the group. He did not wish to cause them death if it could be avoided, but he would not let his own life be threatened if he could help it. “If it is a duel you wish, I shall accept.” With a few more grunts of laughter and excitement, the men rushed at the Prince, with metal poles, screw drivers and various other tools that could have found in a scrap heap and began their attack of the white armoured man.

Sonuske rolled his eyes at his sister. Man was she annoying, why did she have to follow him here? She was so troublesome, starting unnecessary problems for him and sometimes others. He turned to Fate sighing. "Just ignore her, hopefully she'll go away." He stated, hoping she really would. He turned to Squall when he said there was no such place as Edge. "I didn't think so... Looks like Nero wasn't crazy after all, we're on another world." The idea of being away from home, it felt strange to him. He knew he probably wouldn't be getting in as many naps as usual, but for some reason he didn't seem to mind it as much as he thought he would.
He turned to Marlene, feeling kind of insulted that out of everyone in the bar, she thought he was th troublemaker. Seriously? He was the least likely candidate to start anything! He sighed again. Kids could be such pains. "Look, I'm not here to cause any trouble. Just calm down." Why was he the one pegged as a problem starter? His eyes darted over to yet another new comer to the bar. This place was pretty popular, which wasn't exactly good for him.
Sonuske was starting to get a headache from so many people being in one place, all talking at the same time. He hated being in crowded places like this. It was such a drag, he was never really a people person. He sighed, rubbing his temples with his middle finger and thumb. He had one of two options. Option One; Sit down at one of the tables and take a nap, or Option Two; Go outside and take a walk. Option one, seemed pretty rude, which he didn't want Marlene to think he was. So that left him with option two, go outside.
"Hey, I'm gonna go outside and get some fresh air, I'll be back in a few minutes." He said to Squall. Telling him, instead of asking permission. Squall may have been the headmaster of Balamb, but he held no authority over him, especially not now. Without saying anything further, Sonuske made his way outside.
Apparently today just wasn't his day. As soon as he stepped outside the doors of the bar, he was met with a gang of people fighting. He sighed yet again, shaking his head. "What a drag." He moaned. He wanted to leave them to their own devices, but the guy in the armor was severely outnumbered, and Sonuske couldn't stand by as someone was getting jumped.
Deciding that incapacitating the men would be easier than actually fighting them, he stretched his shadow forward, expanding and breaking it off into several slithering snakes, one for each of the men. Capturing their shadows would be easy seeing as they were all preoccupied with attacking. As soon as he was sure all of their shadows were connected with his own, he smirked, watching them each freeze then slowly take his normal standing position. "You alright?" He called over to the armor clad fighter.

Matsu looked at her brother as he rolled his eyes at her. She sensed if she had maybe coming on too strong. But Matsu didn't care at all what anyone thought of her at the moment, she was to busy trying to make her brother's life miserable. That's probably why he always thought she was a bit annoying. Matsu overheard him turning to Fate and saying that 'he should just ignore her and she'd go away'. Matsu didn't move an inch.
"Uhmm Sonuske, I heard you spazzy, moronic, idiot." She said rolling her eyes at him. Matsu got tired of being in his presence, so she decided to go get a sprite from the bar. She was wondering why out of all places she had to end up with her brother and the others. Matsu has grown tired of his mean attitude and his obsession of being lazy all the time.
Matsu walked up to the bar and while she was tempted to ask for a sprite she seen a lady sitting down making origami out of napkins on the counter. She seemed very talented she thought. Matsu also looked at how pale her skin was. And her eyes also shifted over and noticed how bright gold they were. As if someone melted gold and place in her eyes. "Hi there." Matsu spoke trying to be polite. She turned her head facing Marlene who had been still working the bar. " Hey Marlene, could I get a sprite please." She asked with a slight smile upon her face.
