They had done it again. How did this keep happening to them? Why them of all people? Sonuske cursed their luck, it seemed like everytime one of those world transporter's showed up they were right there. He was minding his own business, watching the clouds, when suddenly some wormhole opened up directly underneath him pulling him in. He had experienced this before, and had hoped he'd never have to again, unfortunately he had no such luck.
He woke up, after being unconscious for who knows how long. He slowly sat up, grabbing his head and shaking it, trying to get all of his senses to come back online and fully functioning. After his eyes came into focus, he looked around, now realizing he didn't have any idea where he was. And he actually felt kind of afraid to be alone, hopefully Fate had come too like last time.
He stood up, stretching his back and trying to get a better look at his surroundings. He was on a beach. That fact was slightly comforting. Beaches were relaxing, and nothing bad usually happened there. So he was relatively safe, or at least he thought so for now. "Such a pain.... Why does this keep happening to me?" He groaned, expressing his dislike for his situation.

Again! It had happened again! This time it wasn’t Fate’s fault. They were both minding their own business then the next moment they found themselves in/on one of those portals. This time was much different though. Instead of completely blacking out and coming back to on some sandy ground, he was fully conscious during the whole experience. Traveling so fast that his eyes couldn’t focus; flashing lights and sounds. But for a split second he had though he had seen Fishermen’s Horizon out of the images that rush pass in this ‘light stream.’ That was home, not exactly home, but their home world. He wanted to reach out and grasp the image, but it was already long gone. It left him with nothing to do, but to close his eyes and wait. Wait until he reached his new destination.
Fate Lingod opened his eyes to completely darkness, gasping for air. Instead of air, his fragile lungs were only met with sea water. He finally pulled his head out of the water, coughing up some water in the process. Hell... I’d take that sand over water any day. I prefer cookies… Maybe some French toast… Fate would have laughed at Hope’s comment, but he was too busy trying to get some air. Not only that, but his head was throbbing. This world traveling thing was really started to take its toll. Luckily, Fate wasn’t that deep out at sea. He actually could stand and the water came just below his waist. He slowly dragged his legs through the waters to get to the beach’s shore. Once he reached the shore he felt to his knees, placing his hands on the ground as he double over. His clothes completely sloaked. After a few coughs, Fate’s breathing was returning back to normal. ”Ugh! My head is killing m—“ He paused for a moment, ”—Where the hell is Sonuske?”
Fate slowly made his way back to his feet, staggering for a moment. He turned to look out at the sea, praying that his friend wasn’t out there; unconscious. ”SONNY!!! YOU BETTER NOT BE DROWNING OUT THERE!!!” He cuffed his hands around his mouth as he yelled, ”YOU REMEMBER! YOU’RE TOO LAZY TO DO ANYTHING! THAT INCLUDES DYING!!!” Fate realize calling out to him would be pretty useless if he was unconscious. He had to enter the waters again. But Sonuske could have been anywhere out there. How would he find him? And even if he did, would he find him before he drowned? Well, he had to try. Without Sonuske, Fate wouldn’t have anyone to come along with his stupid ideas. ”The things I do for bros…” Fate ran back into the waters, yelling out for Sonuske the whole time.

Sonuske knew that Fate had to be somewhere, the only question is where was he? He knew that he had to begin his search eventually, might as well do it now. The faster he found him, the faster they could find their way back home. But where to start? He turned around, seeing nothing behind him but a vast ocean. Could Fate be in there? Hopefully not, it was pretty big, and if he was, there'd be no way for sure to find him. He rubbed the back of his neck, already dreading the large amount of work coming his way. "Man, why'd we have to end up on a beach? Why not somewhere it'd be easy to find each other?" He questioned himself.
He turned back around, seeing what seemed to be a mega complex. Possibly a large mall or shopping center. Maybe he was inside there? Just as he was about to go check it out, he heard yelling. Someone was yelling his name, it had to be Fate, no one else ever called him Sonny! He turned towards the origin of the voice, to find his buddy heading into the water, but he already looked drenched. So he was in the ocean before!
"I'M OVER HERE!!" He called out to his friend, trying to stop him before went back out into the briny deep. He ran over to him, just in case he didn't hear him call to him before. Well, this was definitely his exercise for the day. "Glad you could make it. You look water-logged." He said, grinning at his friend, glad that he wasn't alone like he had previously thought. "Now, we just need to figure out where we are.. and how to get home."

Lightning paused to sigh in disapproval at the assignment she just received. Another special mission, and again she was required to leave her hometown. This time the whereabouts of her target was somewhere within Grapa Whitewoods.
Her orders were to leave immediately and dispatch a Pulse fiend that’s escaped into the depth of those woods. The soldier understood the importance of the mission, but why she was a assigned to it was a different matter. Why didn’t the division in charge of that facility take on this task? She wondered but never uttered that question.
Apparently that fiend was wreaking the place and attacking anyone on sight, which explained why this mission was the Guardians Corps main concern. Lightning was slightly bothered about leaving her sister alone though, who knew what Snow would do once he learned of her leave? Probably take advantage of her absence to hang with Serah. Just the thought of that man with her sister angered the soldier beyond means, but she knew very well she couldn't dismiss her orders.
Lightning took pride in her work as a soldier, always accepting every task she was assigned, and complied her superior orders. She disliked the thoughts of taking days off, and never refused to take on a mission no matter what or where it was.
She turned to her holster attaching it to her waist, gathered supplies she needed for her mission in her storage pack strapped around her leg before setting off to Gapra Whitewood. The sooner she finished her assignment the better, and she had no doubt that she could in less time than she was required, the main problem was locating the fiend.
Once set, Lightning departed from her home choosing the fastest path to Grapa Whitewoods, however she knew it would take her several hours to reach her destination. She quickened her pace keeping herself focused on her task at hand, and nothing else.
On her way Lightning noticed a figure or two? not too far ahead. She moved closer to notice two men. She turned to examin their outfits, only to find out they weren't in a soldier uniform or dressed like other citizen.
Assuming that they were lost Lightning made her appearance finally and stood only a few feet away from them. "What are you doing here?" she asked arms crossed together while standing there waiting for an answer.

Fate stopped once heard Sonuske's voice. Great! Sonuske was dry well Fate was soaked. He slowly dragged his feet through the waters again to escape. Once he made it back to dry land, Fate just stared at Sonuske. "Water-logged... Good one. Seriously, you should think about being a comedian," He said bluntly, "All jokes aside, I think I seen Fishermen's Horizon..." He was hoping that Sonuske would say that he saw it too. He took his two sheaths, holding his weapons, that were on his back and placed them on the sands. He double over placing his hands on his knees, laughing. They were never going to get home and it was all his fault. "Sorry man. This has been my stupidest idea to date," He sighed, "And I dragged you into it. I'm selfish."
Well, cryin' 'bout it isn't gonna do any good. We always find ways outta tough situations. Yeah, you're right.
If Fate had never been curious about traveling to different worlds they wouldn't be in this situation. And to make matters worst, they had been found by one of the habitants of this world. Fate looked the women up and down for a moment, realizing that she was armed. Armed and alone... She had to have superior fighting skills. Should they just come out and tell this women the truth? That they were from a different world? He stood up straight, dragging his foot to one of the sheaths just in case he needed it. "Uh, we're lost ma'am..." Which was the truth. They had no clue where they was.
Now they had to wait for her response. "I'm Fate Lingod ma'am..." He figured he might as well introduced himself. He would leave Sonuske's introduction to himself. He could talk for himself and Fate was sure he wasn't going to do anything drastic. That was Fate's department. A department that Fate had to get away from. He had to start thinking things through, especially when it involved other people.

Sonuske could easily tell that Fate was not amused by his jokes. Maybe now wasn't the time for jokes, they needed to be serious. When did they switch places? Sonuske was usually the serious one. His eyes opened wide when Fate said he caught a glimpse of their own world. "Really? You saw FH....." He repeated, in disbelief. Well, that meant they would get back eventually. Atleast it kept Sonuske's morale up. It didn't seem to do much for Fate, he seemed upset.
He hated to see his friend upset, especially when he was feeling guilty. He walked over to his friend and placed his hand on his back, giving him a reassuring smile. "Hey man, it's not your fault. Besides, this whole ride has been pretty fun so far. I kinda always wondered if there was more out there, and thanks to you, I know that there's alot more than home." He said truthfully. "Also, I think you may be curing me of my laziness. I've been much more active since this had started." He threw a joke in to lighten the mood, though that part was also truthful. "Plus, if you saw our home, then that means there's a way to get back. We'll be fine, don't worry."
Had Fate not dragged him to another world in the first place, Sonuske would probably be lying on he grass outside watching the clouds go by. Not that he still didn't enjoy that, but being active was actually pretty fun. Maybe he could be more outgoing from now on. His eyes left his friend, to see a woman standing infront of them with her arms crossed. She didn't exactly seem hostile, but for some reason Sonuske didn't fully trust her just yet. She could've been sent to kill them for all they knew. That idea didn't make much sense, but he couldn't throw out any possible theories right now.
Sonuske's eyes never left the woman, but he listened to Fate speak. He nodded in agreement to the fact that they were lost. "And I'm Sonuske Asama, do you mind telling us where we are exactly?" He asked, trying to muster the friendlist, non-hostile voice he could manage. He kept his eyes glued on the lady before them, examining her as much as he could from that distance. It was obvious she was a fighter of some sort, noticing her lean build, slim figure, and the biggest give-away, the weapon on her hip. He just hoped she didn't find a reason to use it on them.

Some action, at long last.
Well, okay, it wasn't exactly "action", per se, but at least the top dogs of GC were considering Jamaila. After all, when she graduated, she'd be an official member. Of course, there were all the preliminaries ... but she'd deal with them when she got there.
So, with her coat on - because she couldn't hide her daggers any other way - Jamaila took a stroll. After a while, waiting got boring, so she didn't want to just stand there, trying - and failing - to look imposing to other passer-bys and tourists.
She hadn't wandered too far - so as not to get her superiors on her back - when she noticed some figures. One of them was--
Jamaila looked on, a mixture of surprise and adoration flitted in her expression. Lightning - as in the Lightning?
She blinked. That was ... unexpected. Jamaila hoped to be just as devoted to her job, just as tough as Lightning.
She also wanted a cool codename. After all, she doubted that Lightning was her real name.
The other two, though, she didn't recognize.
'Well, at least it'll kill time.' That thought was the main reason that Jamaila strolled towards the trio. "So, what's going on here?" She asked, as she stopped a couple of feet away from them. The pair didn't look like troublemakers, but even so ... She'd feel content with actually getting the opportunity to help people; tourists, innocent civilians ... or two lost guys.
