[~Lithe Dragoon~] ”I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her!” Closed eyed, silence surrounds a crystal, one that was granted eternal sleep by the fal’cie many decades before. 500 years of slumber, not one movement had come from the woman trapped inside the crystal. And yet the future would hold something thought impossible to both the woman and to common citizens. Awakening. Situated in the world of Cocoon, it was a miracle her crystal had not been found, but it had not been. Unknown to the woman her best friend had already awoken from crystallization, and was searching for her. But she had yet to do the same. Everything about her looked peaceful, in little enough time that peaceful look would vanish, replaced with worry for her friend. And then happened the first movement she had seen in 500 years. A twitch of her finger. Small, unseen, almost insignificant it spoke of what was yet to come. Nothing more however came from the crystallized woman. Crystal was located in the ruins of Pulse Vestage, which was located in Bodhum. In just a few days all chaos would break loose, Serah would be turned to l’cie, PSICOM would create a purge for innocent people, but none of that had happened yet. There had not been an entrance to the ruins until this exact day, as Vanille had already awoken and was now wandering around Bodhum…alone. If she knew that she would be worried sick, but at the moment no thought or feeling was going through her mind or body. She existed, and yet did not at the same time. Anyone coming upon her might gaze in fascination at what she was, possibly not thinking she was a woman at all, or even a human being.

~ There is Nothing either Good or Bad, but thinking makes it so ~
At the pinnacle of his fortress, the light of the crystal shone glaringly at him. The silence in the chamber decided what things appeared to be happening and what did not. The prince stood a few feet away from the gradually rotating stone that seemed to have come alive; he never acknowledged it as valuably as he should've because he was ridden with duty born from dread to it. The dread for his future had stalked him since childhood. It's existence, it's presence had shaped his foundations and he sighed softly. Dormant on most days, it had been; he hadn't seen anything quite like today in his time as keeper, yet... but he could sense a magnetic pulse streaming with life around him, and through him. His rune had separated into multi circular patterns that paraded in an enclosing hover above him, and around him, an inch off the cold ground. That slow whirlwind of blue light protected him from anything he encountered and it had not met it's match nor reached it's limit. Brow's furrowed, a concentration so focused, he watched as the transparent energy flows warp the frame upon a podium situated behind the structure that stored his greatest prize, and destined downfall. The air thinned ever more at the depth of where he was, and he rounded the giant preservation, approaching the distorting membrane where his portal was. Things never opened on their own and it was more than rare for him to chance on it happening without his direction; things were controllable after all, but this was a strange awakening. There was a missing link he needed to find. Sceptical, his breath deepened as he contemplated the dangers ahead if this portal was two way and the reasons for why it had opened for him or anyone. The notion of anyone put him on guard very quickly, and his expression grew heavier with instinct to fight. Several minutes waited for him; time passed with him and nothing stirred from the heatwaving pathway to another world. It dawned on him that he was either to stay in guard forever until it closed, or to go through it and discover why it had opened... In the meantime, there were higher chances of doing something about the predicament of caution that he was in if he were across, than limited to the damp underground if he stayed. There was colour, like the aurora borealis he read about. It had blinded him momentarily so that he had to close his eyes, lowering his chin so that the upper rim of his colour brushed to hide his face. A push through that line, he could have been walking into enemy territory or an outright war, and he was prepared... but all was quiet. When sight returned to him, a second after, he was mesmerised by the most delicate sculpture of a figure intertwined in what he couldn't explain. It confused him as to what it was, and if this was a figure at all. Cursed lies he did not hear, would tell him that was ice so clear it sparkled like a diamond filed to reflect on every face. The air was hot, he felt it prickle at his skin and knew this may have to be more sacred than a sculpture or a peaceful art. These days things arrived with dark stories that disturbed trust. Backing away a few steps, Noctis glanced around and listened hard to any approaching ambush... but again, there was nothing. In the midst of the unknown, he simply admired the crystalline formation naively, lost in wonder.

[~Lithe Dragoon~] ”I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her!” The appearance of the stranger went unnoted by the crystallized woman. But more rapidly was there movement from within the icy prison. Ice so clear that it was transparent, a human that wasn’t anything of a human stood trapped upright in the crystal, hands folded in front of her, her spear barely able to be made out was held between them. None of that could be seen thought. Eyes flickered rapidly, as a person does before waking up, fingers twitched and chest raised upwards in a breath. Light surrounded the ruins as the stranger appeared, while that might be the most obvious reason for her awakening, but it was something much more then that. The Fal’cie were awakening her just to send her back to crystal when she completed her new focus. Things were calm, no sounds were heard as her chest rose up and down in another breath. And then an intense light flashed all around her as the sounds of cracking crystal made a sound loud enough to pierce the ears and deafen any that were around the ruins. The blinding light shattered the crystal and made some ruin stone structures crumble. Eyes burst open as a huge gasp erupted from her lips. The bright light diminished to show a woman where the crystal had previously been. Lips were parted as she stood there, her knees locked, hands clenched onto a spear that hadn’t been used in 500 years, knuckles were white. Green intense eyes stared blindly ahead as her chest did not rise again for a minute. No thought crossed her mind as she stood there, almost trapped by some unknown energy even though she had escaped from the crystal status she had been in before. And then her body swayed as her unbelievable strength she had known before left her. She had been situated on the top of stairs. Now as she swayed no thoughts crossed her mind, she hadn’t even seen the stranger watching her in surprise. And then she lost her balance. Still clinging without strength to her long bladed spear she toppled off of the pedestal like structure she had been sitting on. Eyes closed as she fell down the few feet to the ground, arms outstretched. Her spear clattered as it hit the ground, but the fingers on her left hand still clung to it, somehow she managed to cling to it even with the hard fall she had just experienced. No sound escaped her lips through it all after her initial gasp of breath, although her chest rose and fell steadily…alive…after 500 years of the granted eternal slumber. ..
