This monster was huge! T-Rexuars were nothing compared to this thing. A slight smirk came across the boy’s face though as he saw that his attack had blinded the beast in the right eye. So it could be hurt, it would just take some time. Fortunately, Fate was a patient boy. Fate turned his attention to Vanille and nodded in agreement as she spoke. Of course Fate didn’t want her to fight, but he pretty sure she was going to anyway no matter what he said. ”Sure… Think they’ll name a holiday after us after we save the day?” Fate said jokingly, ”No? Maybe they’ll name a parade after us then.”
But as Ultimecia made her retreat Fate eyes finally caught a glimpse of Angeal, his trainer. It was as if Ultimecia was still here because Fate just froze as if time had stopped. Fate had no family to call his own. He never had one. But being around Angeal made Fate wondered if that what it was like to have an older brother, maybe even a father. Fate took a step forward which quickly turned to a sprint. As he reached Angeal, Fate tripped over his own feet, sliding against the ground. Ignoring the minor pain, Fate pushed himself back to his feet. He pointed one of his blades at Angeal with a serious look upon his face. ”You better make it your damn day Old Man! Get up! You’re not going to die here. You—You got to finish training me!” He said, offering his hand to help Angeal up, ”Besides, you can’t let a pretty boy like myself outdo you on the battlefield, right?”
Losing someone close to him again scared Fate. He wasn’t sure how he would react. As Vanille focused on healing and everyone else focused their attacks on the beast, Fate stood back trying to make sure Angeal was okay. Also waiting for the right moment to attack. Fate had never experience a battle like this. A battle where there was a chance that he might not make it out alive or someone he cared about wouldn’t.

His eyes closing, and darkness claiming him Angeal could hear the screams of his comrades around him. Strange, nobody ever cried or screamed for him to get up the first time he died, what was so different about this time. Then it hit him in his slightly dead state, he had actually touched someone's life here, that is why Fate was yelling, He couldn't leave Fate alone, as much as he hated to admit it, Fate was like Family now. And part of his honor would not let him leave family behind. His eyes shot open and suddenly he felt as if he could move again, no family left behind. ''Heh, well to let a pretty boy outdo me..... Then you have to be pretty don't you'', he said chuckling, he felt no blood coming from his mouth, which was a sure tell sign of pending death.
He took in a deep breathe and rose off the ground holding his arm and looking around for the sorceress...Nobody makes him bleed his own blood and get's away with it. When he realized she was gone he began to gain relief.... For all of about 4 seconds. Angeal closed his eyes and tried with all his might to lift his sword as he turned to look at the huge bastard of a monster. ''Well..... Isn't this a bitch on he period'', he said to himself, at this point beaten, bludgeoned, bleeding, Angeal's tongue was not something he was going to hold back. With every ounce of strength, he lifted his sword over his head, allowed his wing to sprout from his shoulder and began to glow a bright blue all over his body.
In the blink of an eye Angeal was on the move at what seemed like almost blinding speed, nothing but a blue blur was what he was now. Since Vanille had healed him he was now brand new. In about 3 seconds it took Angeal to get from the spot he was in to get to the huge monster. He swung his blade with great intensity as it too was nothing but a blue slash going across the monster's head neck and abdomen.
He landed with his wing flapping and held his blade at his side drawing in energy for his final blow, though he hoped it would do some damage, it looked to only make the creature even angrier. He sprang forward all blues in the spectrum surrounding his blade, he swung his blade one more time this time was the most significant of them all as he aimed it at the creatures neck.
''Engel Letzten Flug''... With that utterance Angeal landed atop a nearby building to observe the damage that he had done or lack there of.
