Shichiro Date
"Mazzy ... things are pretty tight around here."
Custom Title: Psycho Dog
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Family: Both parents (biological and foster) deceased; considers the DTC his family.
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Home World: Esthar ~ FFVIII
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Job: Member of the Dragon Triad Corporation
Items: N/A
Accessories: Eye-patch - Something he is never without. Although, he wears it more as a sign of badassery than anything else.
Appearance Usually, Shichiro is seen wearing a printed jacket, which had been made with Anacondaur skin. Comfortable black trousers are worn on the lower body, accompanied by black shoes and gloves. The jacket is usually left open, exposing his torso, as well as part of his Oni tattoo. Although, when he's in combat, he usually removes both his jacket and gloves, revealing the whole of his tattoo, as well as his lean build.
He also owns a suit, which he usually wears for meetings and the like. The jacket, trousers, shoes and tie are of a dark black color, and his shirt is crimson red. However, he never takes his eye-patch off, which only reinforces his wild nature.
Personality: In a nutshell, Shichiro is very unpredictable.
Even though he would be loyal towards a certain cause, person or group, Shichiro would still tend to do what he believes is right, regardless of what others have to say about it. As a firecracker, Shichiro is usually more brash and prefers to fight things out, as opposed to his good friend Masaru. A lover of violence, Shichiro also shows signs of being slightly crazy. Although his fellow DTC members don't say anything - who knows how he'd react ...
Despite his tendency to attract trouble, Shichiro could be classified as a good guy ... sort of. He's proved, time and time again, that he's loyal to both the DTC and to Masaru, especially. He also shows extreme dedication - it's just the execution of said dedication that could be called into questioning ...
Although he seems to be good friends with Masaru, the two often engage in friendly brawls; Shichiro likes the amount of power and freedom he's given in the DTC, but can't seem to get over the fact that Masaru is stronger than him. So, he trains himself, in order to become stronger and - finally - defeat his friendly rival.
History: Shichiro had never known his parents. Apparently, his father had been just one of the many casualties of the Sorceress War and his mother had died giving birth to him.
So, he was brought up in an orphanage.
However, his time spent there was short, as he was adopted shortly after. As a kid, he was slightly reckless, often getting into fights and expressing himself in a unique and bold way. Despite that, though, he lived a relatively normal life.
But, that all changed once the DTC was found.
His foster father was called in to help instruct the new recruits in hand-to-hand combat. Of course, Shichiro was curious - but also of age - and it didn't take him long to find out about the organization. Strangely enough, his foster father had had the same idea - to let Shichiro join to the DTC. He knew how to brawl, although he relied more on just plain attacking rather than channeling his energy and strategically eliminating his opponent(s).
And so he enrolled.
Shichiro made his foster father proud, that was for sure. The man was proud that he could watch his son in battle.
Which wasn't very long, admittedly.
Date, like his foster son, was reckless and impulsive and - upon discovering (or thinking that he had discovered) his friend's killer - he planned to murder the man.
Of course, he failed, and Shichiro was - once again - left without a parental figure. Not exactly in the mood to train himself any longer, Shichiro temporarily left the DTC, hoping to find something else calling out to him.
And, that he did.
Apparently, his biological father was an architect - and with that in his mind - Shichiro began to assist in the making of buildings and the like.
However, due to certain issues, they were forced to cease production of the site they had been working vigilantly on for years. If it hadn't been for Masaru, Shichiro would have never come back to the DTC. Then again, he should have never promised on coming back if Masaru beat him - which was what happened. And, whatever his faults, Shichiro was one to keep his promises.
He respected Masaru - particularly his strength. And, with a man like that on his side, Shichiro knew that he'd be able to experience many a brawl. Excitement filled his life again - he felt free, or as free as he could feel ...
Which is why he returned to the DTC. Still training, still fighting ...
Still attempting to beat Masaru. With not much success.
Abilities: Weapon Proficiency - When he is not wielding his two swords, Shichiro is usually known to fight in many other ways: hand-to-hand, with knives, and with a katana that belonged to his foster father.
Summons: N/A
Magic: Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga, Cure
Strengths: Combat abilities, loyalty, dedication, commitment
Weaknesses: Brash, unpredictable, prefers to resort to violence, wants to prove to himself that he is stronger than Masaru.
Weapon When he doesn't resort to fighting single-handedly, Shichiro is usually seen with a simple blade, which he wields with one hand.
Crushes: None ... for now.
Role Play Sample: This wasn't what Shichiro had planned.
When he had signed up to be Shin's so-called 'bodyguard', he had expected to be respected - to be revered. But, instead, he was a pawn. To get Masaru to doubt him, that Galbadian dog had framed him - made him look like the bad guy in this scenario.
He breathed in and looked down at the city. What he was doing now would benefit Esthar in the long run. Come to think of it, Masaru had been the one to make up Shichiro's mind. It was done now - no fuss, no questions asked.
Although, he couldn't say that he hated serving the DTC - that would be distorting the truth. But there were times - when he wanted to be the one in charge. He wanted to be the one everyone would focus on serving and guarding (not that he needed a guard, as he told himself continuously).
Which was why it had been pretty easy for Gai to frame him.
His hands gripped the railing tightly. When he got his hands on the maggot ...
