Ayako Sakura Hikumi
"Maybe I'll give it a try ... once everything makes sense again ..."
Custom Title: The Blue Rose[/i]
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Family: Father ~ Kaito Hanabusa (deceased), Mother ~ Sakura Hikumi (deceased)
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Home World: Esthar ~ FFVIII
Alignment: Good/Neutral
Job: Estharian Representative of the Tri-Garden Council (also a member of the Dragon Triad Corporation)
Items: Cell phone ~ One of Ayamo's most prized possessions. It has a black exterior and the screen can be slided upwards in order for her to view the numerical keys.
Accessories: Silver necklace ~ The charm itself is shaped like a lightning bolt.
Bracelet ~ It basically looks like a piece of elastic or string. The bracelet itself is adorned with a small silver star.
Appearance: Ayako possesses light brown eyes and straight strands of hair, that reach just past her shoulders and are caramel brown in color. Her customary hairstyle, itself, is parted unevenly, with the majority of her hair placed on the right side of her face, creating somewhat of a fringe.
Her attire usually consists of: a simple black tank top, with smart-looking black trousers. Atop her covered legs, Ayako wears black fur boots, which reach up to just below her knees. Atop her tank top, she wears a white blouse, where the front is cropped, and the ends of her sleeves are crinkled.
Personality: First and foremost, Ayako is dedicated both to her job and to her hometown, which is the prosperous city of Esthar. She usually keeps somewhat of a detachment from others that are not directly involved in her business, and would only seek an audience with others if she was going to gain something as a benefit for conversing with him/her/them. However, whenever she is lost and/or confused, Ayako would then be forced to show her weak side, where she usually lets her emotions override her usually rational judgments. However, she is prone to feeling for people, particularly a party and/or individual who are worse off than she - herself - is. Because of this, though, many a slippery man/woman would be able to slip past her and elude her law-abiding grasp.
However, underneath her hard and somewhat stern exterior, Ayako is prone to feeling guilty at times. This guilt usually stems from the majority of past memories she holds, such as: not getting to know her father better, and her affair/fling with Ryudo Akira Yoshimizu 2 years ago. She also possesses a fairly moderate IQ score and this is - primarily - one of the reasons of why the Dragon Triad Corporation (or DTC) were so eager to accept her - minus her father's influence and her obvious usefulness as an asset to the company. However, Ayako feels that she has to push herself to keep proving the men of the Corporation wrong, seeing as she is one of the only - if not, the only - woman currently enrolled there. This would also cause her to become somewhat of an independent spirit; seeing as the last man she had trusted had turned out to betray her, Ayako tends to refuse help from others.
Despite her cool facade, though, if one does get her approval to become friends - or more - then Ayako can be regarded as a tough and loyal woman to keep near.
History: Ayako was born to Kaito and Sakura, as an illegitimate child. Her parents had met whilst Sakura had taken part in the Garden Exchange Program and had been sent to Galbadia Garden for a year. Of course, they had been breaking a very serious rule by doing so, but Kaito and Sakura had been drunk on lust/love, and - when the Garden Faculty found out - expelled the two from G Garden.
As Kaito had been hoping to become a SeeD - or possibly a Galbadian Soldier - he was devastated when they kicked him out, and impulsively lashed his anger out on Sakura, attempting to convince her to give up the baby. Sakura, furious from the idea, disagreed and - with Kaito gone - realized that she would have to support the child by herself.
Naturally, as she made her way back home, her aunt was shocked, but didn't criticize Sakura for it - instead, she began to help her niece cope with the burden of carrying a child at such a young age.
It was hard, but in the end, Sakura managed to give birth to a beautiful girl, whom she named Ayako.
From the time of her growing up, Ayako kept her mother's surname, seeing as Sakura had never actually married Kaito, and was unaware of her father's whereabouts - her mother having told her that her father had simply left without a word. It troubled the young girl, slightly, but she never pushed herself to go find him.
She grew up, and was educated, in Esthar, with the help and support of her mother. Her main interest lied in law and politics, and Ayako wished to grow up in a land where justice conquered all.
So, with her mother's approval, Ayako - after graduation - began to prepare herself for her chosen route. She went to interviews and most of the Estharian populace were impressed with her loyal and no-nonsense attitude. There were high hopes for her, and many of them agreed that she'd be an asset to the Council.
This was also when Ayako was forced to grow up and let go of her naive side.
The first thing she had to deal with was the death of her mother. She had been killed in a car crash, with the driver being drunk. Ayako, with the help of some of her associates, attended Sakura's funeral and Ayako was then prone to experiencing bouts of loneliness - her mother's aunt having passed away before, due to old age.
With no-one there to look after her, Ayako - now 18 and a half years old - bought an apartment in Esthar, with the Gil earned from her lavish job. She then proceeded to devote all her time to her work, since she felt that she had no-one else to love (and didn't care much for the father who had abandoned her).
6 months later, and she met Ryudo.
Because of her job, Ayako worked with people from many different cities, and Ryudo happened to hail from Galbadia. However, he had sworn his allegiance to Esthar, and began to help them with their council duties. Ryudo noticed that Ayako's attention was usually on him - although, she tried not to show it - and couldn't help fall for her in return.
And, with that, they started a relationship.
Not many of their work-mates knew of this, because Ryudo and Ayako worked vigilantly still, making sure that their love for each other didn't get in the way of their work. Everything was well for the happy couple.
Or so they thought.
Galbadia had never been the most honest of the continents and it was obvious that many Galbadian politicians and Council members were hungry for power. With that thought in mind, they planned to occupy the other continents, expanding their land and satiating their hunger for power and money.
Of course, they did all this discreetly and away from enemy eyes, hiring hitmen and training members to join their ranks. Esthar, however, were one step ahead and a very wise man ended up creating the Dragon Triad Corporation - or DTC for short.
Primarily, Ayako wouldn't have been interested in joining, but - from what she had observed, watching them - she couldn't help but be drawn to their ability to defend themselves. Many DTC members were extremely skilled in combat - whether it was hand-to-hand or with weapons. Or even both.
It was here that she met Masaru Azama Yamamoto.
By engaging in conversation with Masaru, Ayako felt even more interested in joining and - with his advice - she met with his stepfather, who - surprisingly - agreed.
Of course, she was glad that she was now classified as a member of the DTC, but - due to the absence of many females - she was under the impression that she would have to train twice as hard to gain the mens' respect.
This was, also, primarily the reason of why most of her subordinates didn't take her very seriously.
But, they were surprised.
When she wasn't meeting with the rest of the Estharian Council, Ayako was training with the DTC. Her agile frame and progress with her twin pistols - named Apollo and Artemis - many a DTC member were impressed by her. Training alongside Masaru also caused Ayako to end up becoming a close friend of his, and they maintained a relationship of trust. Of course, seeing as Ryudo had no idea that she had joined the DTC's ranks, she had decided to confide in Masaru. The DTC itself was not supposed to be known to the outside world, but Ayako didn't like the idea of leaving Ryudo in the dark. So, she decided to tell him.
Which ended up becoming a big mistake.
2 months later ...
Because of her duties with the Estharian Council, Ayako had not been to DTC Headquarters one day, and had decided to go pay a visit to them.
Unfortunately, she was greeted with an unwelcome sight.
The Galbadian equivalent to the DTC had found out about the Estharian Corporation and were planning to dismantle it, little by little. And, the most shocking thing of it all?
Ryudo was with them, and was planning to kill anyone who opposed them.
Sparked with both betrayal and rage, Ayako had been planning to fight them off, but had been injured in the battle that ensued.
She was then forced to stay in the hospital, where her thoughts haunted her. When the DTC members had - eventually - won (but not without some losses), Masaru ended up visiting her, telling her of the news.
Despite what he had done, Ayako was relieved to learn of the fact that Ryudo was still alive.
After she had been cleared to go back to work, Ayako began to meet with the remaining members of the DTC, who were planning to avenge their fallen comrades and also put an end to Galbadia's reign. Personally, Ayako didn't want to fight against Ryudo but - given the way that he had shamelessly betrayed them - she felt that she had no choice.
However, as time went by, the Dragon Triad Corporation were able to annihilate many a Galbadian Viper. The conflicts themselves were just like a war, with many casualties from both the Galbadian and Estharian side.
But, Ayako had been targeted by some of the Vipers and - with her being unaware of this - were planning to kill her. Of course, they failed in their plan. But, that was for one reason and for one reason only.
A General of the Estharian Military - who had aligned himself with the DTC - had taken the bullet that had been meant for Ayako. That didn't only upset her because she had lost a comrade ...
... but also because the General had been none other than Kaito Hanabusa, the father she had - and will - never know(n).
Distraught, Ayako attempted to shoot the man who had been responsible for her father's death, but - once again - failed to do so.
The next thing she knew, she was in a hospital bed, and the man had been killed. With no parents and her lover on the other side, Ayako had no-one to turn to but her comrades in the DTC, the Estharian Council and Masaru.
She also realized that, as she left the hospital for the second time, she needed to train more, and become stronger.
However, the news of Ryudo's death had helped hinder her recovery.
She listened on in shock as Masaru explained: apparently, Ryudo had aligned himself with the Galbadians due to the money and power associated with such a continent - his origin had nothing to do with it. Although he had initially been placed in Esthar as a bug - a spy for the Galbadians - he found himself becoming protective of the Estharian Council; in particular, by Masaru, Ayako and Shin (the son of the man who had helped find the Dragon Triad Corporation). In order to protect both Masaru and Shin, he had charged at the Galbadians and proceeded to take as many of them down as he could, before he was heartlessly shot. His death, Masaru had said, was not deserved.
Now, all healed up and her feelings for Ryudo rekindled, Ayako hopes to toughen herself up, in order to honor the ones she loved. Her mother, her father ... and her lover.
Abilities: Hand-to-hand combat ~ Although she primarily wields her two pistols, Ayako can also hold her own and fight without weapons. This is due to the training she has endured at the Dragon Triad Corporation.
Singing ~ Surprisingly, Ayako happens to possess this talent. Although, she tends not to sing out loud ... at least, when people are around her.

Role Play Sample: Her senses weren't much help in this situation, the only sounds that she could hear were footsteps lightly grazing the ground and someone's loud breathing. Crouching a little lower, Ayako waited, her vision restricted, one pistol enclosed in both her hands.
She didn't know how long they'd been here, or how long they'd be waiting. Instead, she narrowed her eyes against the dark, willing herself to see more than just the shadow of - from what she could decipher - an empty office.
They were on neutral ground, or what they assumed was neutral ground anyway - from what reports had outlined, this place could well suffer the wrath of Galbadia's reign.
And the power cut ... that had surprised them. It had also alerted them - this place must already be occupied.
But where were those Galbadian rats ...?
She heard the guy behind her sigh in irritation. Annoyed, she elbowed him in the ribs and took note - with slightly vindictive satisfaction - as he swore under his breath. She had been more than willing to give Akira a chance, but - judging from his attitude - she shouldn't have.
A sudden thud caused the group to sit up in alarm. Pistol clenched tightly around her two hands, Ayako moved to point it at the culprit--
"All clear, guys!"
--and relaxed. The Estharian was lucky that she hadn't pulled the trigger.
