Yuffie has short black hair, and purple eyes. She is short in stature and is also the youngest of the group.
Yuffie wears a black t-shirt with white designs that ends about mid-section. A black vest is worn above the shirt. Black shorts, with a brown ending and belt adorn her lower body. She wears converse boots with black socks coming up just above the boot. A black glove adorns her left hand, while a white wristband adorns her right. A headband is wound around her forehead.

Yuffie is very cocky and tomboyish usually giving herself titles such as "Wutai's Greatest Warrior" or the "Single White Rose of Wutai." However, she is also very upbeat and hyperactive though this usually tires her out quickly. Her personality is also quite strong when it comes to the subject of Materia, which she usually steals if it is mentioned in a certain area.
Yuffie is also quite clever, and sneaky, but also just as greedy. Her cleverness and sneakiness comes from her ninja heritage, but she is just as greedy for her beloved Materia. Her emotions which usually get the better of her, if someone is severly injured and she will react in an over-emotional state.
She also experiences motion sickness on any moving vehicle whether it be airship or boat.

Yuffie was born in Wutai, a country located on the world of Gaia, that became a tourist resort as she grew up.
Before Crisis:
Yuffie encountered a Turk at this time when he saved her from AVALANCHE who was pursuing her. She then learned about Materia and schemed stealing it mere minutes after learning about what it was. She followed the Turk into the AVALANCHE base and steals the detonator. She then accidently pressed the detonation switch, and she cooperated with the Turk to escape. Once rendezvousing with Tseng, she realized the Turk was with Shinra and runs off.
Crisis Core:
Yuffie meets Zack for the first time and calls herself "Wutai's Greatest Warrior" despite only being 9 years old. Wutai then loses to Shinra and starts its transformation into a resort. Yuffie is upset by this and runs off repeatedly, stealing Materia from unknown travelers. Zack receives mail at one point from the "Treasure Princess" who is actually Yuffie needing someone to help her with stealing treasure. It turns out some "blondman" recommended Zack to help steal the treasure. In the end, she steals Zack's Bahamut Fury Materia, but later returns it after finding out she cannot use it.
Final Fantasy VII:
Yuffie joins the party only wanting to steal their precious Materia when they enter Wutai. They retrieve it back after saving her from Don Corneo. She then proves herself by beating the bosses of Wutai's Five Story Pagoda, and her father comes to understand her position.
Advent Children:
Yuffie appears in the battle against Edge coming from Cid's ariship and still feeling the affects of the motion sickness she experienced up on the airship. She helps to defeat Bahamust SIN, and brings Cloud's collection of Materia back to the ruins of Midgard.
Dirge of Cerberus:
Yuffie is in chard of the espionage and intelligence gathering for the World Regenesis Organization, or WRO. She rescues Vincent from Rosso the Crimson in the Shinra Mansion, before he is killed by Tsviet, and takes him back to WRO headquarters. She then leads troops from the Battle of Midgard to shut down a generator in the Shinra building. She and Vincent then go into Deepground in order to kill Weiss, but are ambushed by Nero who then sucks Yuffie into darkness. Vincent saves her and she and the other AVALANCHE aid him in Omega's destruction.

Yuffie jumped from rooftop to rooftop heading straight for the Seventh Heaven, Tifa's exclusive bar. Her usual grin was plastered on her face as she grew nearer to the usual facility where she met all her friends and companions. It had actually been a while since she was there, having to deal with a slight problem back in Wutai.
"I hope Tifa is able to give me something on the house this time. That would be awesome! Here comes the Single White Rose of Wutai!"
Yuffie jumped down, quickly noticing Cloud's bike parked in front of the bar. Typical. She should have known. She just shook her head slightly, smirking, before barging into the Seventh Heaven.
"The Great Ninja Yuffie is here! What's up?"
