ooc: Ok, This rp is open to Turks, obviously. I just hope this turns out a fun and long-lived thread. This will not be related to the Plot of this site in any way.
Setting and basic Plot: It takes place after Advent Children. About 3 years later, and Shin-ra has been rebuilt. It is still under construction, but Mako energy use is slowly coming back. Turks and SOLDIER exist again, and things are almost like they were before Final Fantasy 7. But there is a sort of investigation pending.
Strange, unsigned letters have been intercepted; and it seems a new plot has risen to bring about Shin-ra's downfall. But AVALANCHE is not the responsible group this time. The group is so far unnamed, but the situation is getting out of control. People who have been sent out on mission by Shin-ra have returned either dreadfully wounded, or not returned at all. Each failed mission is accompanied by a symbol written on paper, usually attached to victims' shirts. attempts to follow the shady characters committing such crimes have proved a waste of time. Tracking them seems impossible.
News of the problem has somehow leaked out of classified zones, and almost all of Midgar knows. Many Shin-ra employees have retired or deserted, fearing the unnamed organization. Those who remain loyal find it hard to trust each other; anyone in Shin-ra could be a spy. Missions have been few, as people fear never returning.
But now the Turks have gotten involved. A select few, Reno has been assigned to the mission of finding the source of the organization. He was told to chose two other Turks to take with him. There was only one lead available for this investigation. The majority of the fatal missions was concentrated around Junon Harbor.
bic: He had been merely hanging out in his own, rather plain office. The walls were colored a light cream and free of any marks, smears, or posters. The office itself was rather spacious. All that it held was a couch for visitors, his chair, and his desk. his desk had it's drawers stuffed with files, files which had had always kept organized and up to date. The top of the desk had a pencil holder with two pens in it. No surprise, the holder was in the shape of a wolf's head. The computer was dust free and well kept. he had some knowledge of how to take apart and fix a computer when necessary.
His suit was neat and well kept as usual; his furry body itself was freshly cleaned. He had only just finished a shower, before returning to his office. The soft black fur was still damp. Claws were filed neatly to a razor sharp point; no dirt lingered between the pads on his paws/hands. Fur had been brushed out and shone sleekly with health. Each fang in his mouth white and clean.
Yet despite his outer appearance, his crimson eyes shone with held back tears. They were focused on a single picture on his desk; an image of his long-dead family. it had been the last picture of the entire family; before his father had deserted SOLDIER with Genesis. Before his mother had fallen into depression. Before she had gone, leaving him to care for his younger sister... Before the horrid experiments performed on him... And before his sister had taken her own life out of fear of him and what he had become.
The head turned slowly to gaze into a small mirror that was placed next to the framed photograph. he had put that mirror there for one reason alone... to make sure that he always saw the what sort of monster he now was... And how his mistake of allowing experiments performed on him had ruined his entire life. He looked into those pain-filled eyes. He looked at the uniform he now wore. He looked at the wolf's head of his; at his identity.
And tears began to fall once more. "Look at yourself...." He thought furiously. "This uniform that you wear with such pride... You are merely concealing the fact that you are a monster. You are running from reality.... Hiding behind the Turk organization.... It is time for that to change. You have never been worth much as a Turk, you don't even get payed because monsters don't need money. Be proud of what you've become, and cease being a coward..."
The hybrid gazed for a moment longer in the mirror, then stood up sharply. That little echoing voice in his head... It was right. Raze took the mirror, and smashed it to the ground, he carefully placed the bits of glass and metal in a trash bin by his desk. He took the photograph out of it's frame and placed in deep in his pocket. The now empty frame soon joined the broken mirror in the trash. He powered down the computer, watching as its screen flickered off.
He stepped out of his office, closing the door quietly behind him. he would leave quietly and leave no trace of his occupation behind. He just wanted to get away from all his troubles... He was useless to the Turk organization. Though he wasn't afraid of the unnamed organization threatening Shin-ra. Once he left the building, he would take it upon himself to find and hopefully fix the problem. It would be... His last gift to the only family had had ever truly known... Turks...

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Oh boy. Who didn’t love working around the clock? Oh well, Reno sucked it up as he always did and went along trying his hardest to try and figure out this mysterious organization. He was assigned to figure out the source of this secret organization before matters got even worse and ShinRa really did fall for good this time. No one wanted that, but it was really weird how once word got out, a lot of people quit and all this stuff kept going on. Someone was definitely outsmarting ShinRa this time and Reno was determined to find out who it was, as he was always determined when it came to his job. So long as these missions didn’t interfere with Cloud or that group of people, he was okay with it. Sitting down at a desk in his own office Reno had his head on his desk. He had papers everywhere trying to figure out what this all meant and who was behind it all. It seemed hopeless, anytime he got a lead, it went straight to a dead end. Now he was going to get some help, two other Turks to help him with this assignment before he failed completely. With a heavy sigh Reno lifted his head off the desk and got up from his chair, looking down at the scattered mess of papers on his desk he shook his head, grabbed his jacket and left the room. While walking down the hair and placing his jacket on, he thought of the two Turks he would ask. Cissnei and Rude of course! His best friend and his girlfriend, what better way to get things done? A grin on his face as he strolled down the hall to go find one of the two in mind before his eyes caught sight of Raze leaving his own office quietly. Reno thought about it for a minute, maybe asking his two best buddies wasn’t a great idea. Joking around wasn’t good for this mission, besides, he’d heard a few good things about Raze, not that they conversed all that much before. So after thinking Reno made a decision, and he waltzed right up to Raze patting his back once while starting to speak. “Hey there Raze.” He started, he never got weirded out or anything by the ‘being a hybrid’ thing, in fact he was so used to it, so many people’s lives had gotten turned upside down…especially when Professor Hojo was around…but that beside the point. Reno was often kind and friendly to most everyone. “Are you working on any assignments?” He asked raising an eyebrow and waiting a few short moments. “Because I’m in need of some help…I’ve been assigned to figure out that secret organization that keeps messing things up for us…I was hoping you would assist me? You and Cissnei, though I still have to ask her.” He said placing a hand to his chin and thinking for a moment. The more help the merrier right? And there was still a plus side, he’d get to work with Cissnei, Reno knew she would say yes to helping him out on a mission. They were a great pair, and then maybe Reno could get to know Raze a bit more. It was always nice to know your fellow Co-Workers a little better than strangers…besides, they would be working on a big mission together…so it was probably a good idea. “I hope you’ll consider my offer Raze…If you decide to jump on board this assignment with me…well…I’ll be looking forward to it.” He said with another grin, being as friendly as ever. ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei sat behind the desk in the office where the files were kept. She was going through some old ones, and filling out more paperwork that Tseng had asked her to fill out. She had been worried about the whole situation, but when would they be called to go on the mission? She knew it was coming, wouldn't doubt at all that it was going to be assignment to them, but why did the president keep pushing it off? The decision had to be made. She did not know that at that exact moment Reno was receiving the mission and that he was going to ask her to come with him. She stiffled a yawn and tried to concentrate on paperwork again. The problem was that her ring kept flashing in the light and drawing her attention away from the files.
A promise ring, how genius Reno had been to use that when he had asked her to be his girlfriend. Her heart had melted a little bit at that moment, just a little bit. She would admit she had always liked Reno, but never thought of him in that way until she had come back to ShinRa. She smiled now while she was looking at it. Sighing a little bit, Cissnei returned her gaze to the file she was reading, but it wasn't making any sense because her mind was still lost on thoughts of Reno. Dang, she was going to have to snap out of this. Taking a deep breath, Cissnei sat back and rubbed the back of her neck, which was a bit sore from being bent to look at files all day. She really wished they could go out and get some excitement, not that she minded helping Tseng out with the paperwork, she had always been good at it, but she would rather be out with her shuriken, at least there she could see the sky.
Unable to concentrate, Cissnei pushed her chair back and stood up. Crimson eyes blinked and she stretched her arms to try and get the kinks out of them. Stifling another yawn, Cissnei cracked her neck and putting the file back away, walked back out of the room she had been sitting in. Making her way to the nearest cafeteria, Cissnei got herself a water. Putting it to her lips, she glanced around at the nearly empty room. A lot of the employees had deserted ShinRa. “Bunch of cowards.” She said out loud, but deep inside she knew she couldn't blame them. They were scared, and unlike the Turks, they had real families to go home to at night, and more importantly, they weren't loyal to the job like Turks were. With a shrug, Cissnei turned and walked back the way she had come. Work wouldn't wait forever, she really did have to go back down there and look through those files, trying to get a lead...always trying to figure something out.
Rounding a corner, she suddenly saw just the man she had been thinking about all day. Reno Sinclair. He had called her earlier, but she had had her phone turned off. She felt the heat of a blush work its way up her cheeks, but she managed to take a deep breath and it went away. Then her eyes focused on the other...person...that Reno was talking to. Was he technically a person anymore? Not trying to be mean, Cissnei had a compassionate heart, and so she had never looked down on Raze. But she had left more or less only a little while before he had been turned into the wolf he had been by Hojo. She didn't know him all that well, but when she did talk to him, she treated him as an equal. She had helped Servos, the cyborg, when none of ShinRa knew, so she didn't hold it against anyone if they were different. She walked up to them, dressed in her suit with her hair pinned half back so it didn't get into her face. When she was close she heard the word assignment. Raising a brow, she walked close and smiled at them both, nodding a bit. “Hi Reno, Raze. I heard the word Assignment. Something up?” Words: 803 Muse: good Notes: None

Walking slowly, he had managed to take only a few steps before footsteps from behind set his fur rippling uncomforatably. Had his little plan to resign already gotten out? He already had the letter in his pocket, waiting to be dropped off in Tseng's office. But how was that possible? He had only just decided on a whim... The scent made it obviously Reno, one of the higher ranking Turks around here.
But as the hand tapped his shoulder, he turned around, braced for the worst. He saluted the higher ranked Turk briefly, before twitching his ears to listen. As mission? Wow, perfect timing too. Then there was the fact that Reno said he would be looking foreward to a mission with him... That made his furry face split into a wide grin. "No, I'm not on assignment. Of course I'll come." His hand slipped into his pocket, and he clutched the resignation letter tightly; spearing in with his claws. Resignation would wait. Now if Reno asked what he had been about to do, of course he wouldn't lie. But he could only vainly hope that Reno didn't care what he was doing just now.
Then a familiar sound of approaching feet came from around the corner, and he turned to see Cissnei come up. He nodded a greeting to her, smiling as he stared from her to Reno. He was quite certain there were some sort of feelings going on between them, but he wasn't going to ask anything. It really wasn't his business; and he tended to keep his nose out of things that didn't concern him. So he merely waiting quietly for Reno to explain the situation to Cissnei, gazing at the floor.
ooc: So short... Sorry. My muse just utterly died...

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno grinned after he asked Raze to be in on his mission, it would be nice to have some different company around here, after all there really was no mix up, either you work with Reno, Tseng, Rude, or Elena....mostly. And with Raze being here and Cissnei coming back, the options got a little bigger for your party. He grinned even wider when Raze agreed to come. He nodded his head a bit and patted Raze on the shoulder in approval. “I’m glad to hear it! Once I talk to Cissnei, we can meet together and I can brief you guys about what all has and needs to be done. Okay?” he said seriously. When it came to work and a mission, Reno was the guy to count on, he took everything into consideration, and even though he may seem like a lazy goofball sometimes, he got the job done with to perfection. Hence, he was second in command. After a few moments, Reno was about to walk off to find Cissnei when there she appeared! It was like she knew he needed to see her. His face lit up when he saw her come over to them, his eyes showed the happiness he truly felt as they glanced down at the ring she was wearing. The promise ring he had gotten her…it was so lovely. And he was just glad she kept wearing it! But enough of the mushy romantic feelings for now. He nodded at her acknowledging her being there as he shifted his eyes between Raze and Cissnei. “I was just asking Raze if he wanted to join that mission with me….I was hoping you would too Cissnei.” He said looking over at her and grinning one of those ‘dazzling’ smiles as she described it once. Oh the things he and her had talked about, they were always so weird or crazy, but in a good way. The many topics of conversation included work, neon sweatpants, hair, Rude, and other obnoxious things that kept them looking insane. Reno’s thoughts were starting to get the best of him, he was getting lost in his mind, he blinked a few seconds before coming back to reality again. “If you decide to join Cissnei, I need to brief you two on what’s going on. Things aren’t looking that pretty for ShinRa these days and we’ve gotta hop on this mission ASAP. Before ShinRa really falls this time.” He said almost with a hint of sadness to his voice. ShinRa was all he knew, if they fell once more and for good this time, he wouldn’t know what to do. Find a new job as…what? That was just it? Or retire early and have a life…that was a nice idea, but still he had to be able to work and make money to support him and possibly a future family, ShinRa couldn’t fall and he was going to make sure that never happened. So after a glance at Raze, knowing he was all in, Reno looked at Cissnei. “What do ya say Ciss?”Words: 602 Muse: Meh, its pretty good Notes: sorry its not longer than i expected....usually starts are pretty rough for me v.v

...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei noticed the smile that Raze gave her and was actually surprised. Of course he smiled and everything, but she had always thought him as more of the deadly quiet person, but she had of course been away from ShinRa for a long time. Then he gazed a the floor and Cissnei's heart went out to him. He had suffered more then a lot of people from the hands of Hojo. Eyes grew narrow as she thought of him. Hojo and ruining lives seemed to go together like milk a cereal. If she hadn't been a Turk she might have done him in herself for what he had done to those around her, Zack Fair, Cloud strife, Raze. Probably most of the Turks felt that way even if they wouldn't admit it. Hojo had been a demon, she was just glad for the time being he was gone. She still felt this fear that they hadn't seen the last of him, even after his last episode. But she managed to push those thoughts out of her head and turn to Reno as he spoke to her.
She smiled again, loosing a bit of her serious face as she looked at Reno. Of course, while on a mission they always concentrated, no problem there. However it didn't stop her from being happy whenever she saw him. Of course this wasn't the time or place, so other then a sparkling in her eyes and the smile they were back to business. Which was good because she wasn't altogether sure she knew how to do the lovey dovey girlfriend thing. It would just come to her? When just with him, she relaxed and thought less of her job, but with anyone else she was the Cissnei she had been 5 years previous. Quiet, dedicated and serious about what she did, a Turk.
She crossed one arm and put the other under her chin in her signature look. A mission? Of course Reno couldn't force her if she decided she didn't want to. Mainly because he was a softy when it came to that more then anything, but she never shirked her duty as a Turk. After thinking a moment, she nodded, “I'll have to grab my shuriken, but I'll be ready in less then 5 minutes. When would we be leaving?” Then he had to go and give her a smile, of course not just a 'I'm glad to see you smile' it was one of those dazzling smiles she had told him about on their date. She shouldn't have said anything, because he gave her one of those smiles and she was a goner, even got flustered. Feeling the heat creep up her neck, Cissnei cleared her throat and tried to look away. He wasn't an easy man to resist that was for sure.
Back to business. She breathed a sigh of relief, no blushing here in front of Raze! With a nod, she got her head back in the game. “Yes of course I'm in.” ShinRa was that bad? Tseng had briefed her on the outlook briefly, but she wasn't sure exactly how bad it was. Files only went so far. She nodded seriously, this wasn't a topic to joke about, ShinRa couldn't fall. Sure they had done some horrible things, but for the most part they were trying to be better on that aspect. The Turks had even helped out Cloud and his 'gang' in the past few months. “Things are that bad? Tseng didn't mention that things were that bad when I was admitted back in.” her brow creased, what would it mean if ShinRa fell? She knew of course that the Turks would continue to remain loyal, but it was an unsettling thought to put it lightly. She was all business once again as she straitened her already neat suit and crimson eyes glanced from Reno to Raze. Words: 758 Muse: alright Notes: None

He had to admit, he was shocked. Very few Turks had ever spoken to him. They were all far too quick to judge... They would shoot a glance at him, then keep walking. And of course, they would go around talking about him to their little buddies behind his back; completely disregarding the fact that he heard ever single whispered word. In times like that, he had merely flattened his ears and kept walking, not wanting to hear any more. That was one bad thing about his exceptional hearing... He heard things that were not meant to be heard by him. The Mutt had been in plenty of trouble over that before, even though he couldn't exactly 'turn off' his ears; like most seemed to wish he could.
When it came to missions, he couldn't remember the last time he had received his own mission. The Higher-Ups seemed to think that he was more helpful when simply tagging along with another's mission, merely helping... Never leading... It left him feeling drained and empty after every mission. And of course, he didn't even get payed. That didn't bother him so much, as he viewed money only as a way for human beings to harm each other for. He could survive just fine without the little pieces of paper that were worth so much around here. Nature provided for him. But, the fact that he wasn't payed made him feel even less human. So everything he did was viewed as an animalistic thing...
He emerged from his ocean of misery, shaking his head mentally to rid himself of these unpleasant thoughts. they wouldn't help him in any way with the mission that was to come. But as Reno patted his shoulder, he felt a sudden urge to flinch back. The action just made him feel as if he were some pet... One being stroked affectionately... It was with difficulty that his fangs were not bared; though his neck fur stuck up slightly at Reno's touch. Hurriedly, he flattened the fur with a hand/paw. Trying to hide the boiling froth of feelings within himself, he smoothed down his own uniform.
That was one noticeable thing about the Hybrid. He was... Well... Almost vain. He preferred to keep his fur sleek and healthy, and maintained his uniform with great care. He had always kept his mouth clean, making sure his breath was always fresh. Dirt never stayed long between his fingers.
He looked back up at Reno and Cissnei; the tail swishing slightly. another thing he hated... The tail... In order to wear pants, he always had to cut a hole in the back of his slacks, and sow up lose stitches around the opening. At least the holes in his pants were always hidden. The Mutt made sure to wear only overcoats that extended below his waist, just to make sure the opening was covered. He viewed it as a sign of respect, as well. No one would appreciate having their eyes drawn to a tail sticking out of the pants. He would have died from embarrassment a long time ago, anyway...
Raze remained stationary, listening to the words exchanged between his fellow Turks. "Things are very complicated now..." He said softly. "Every mission that has been sent out before us... Those who went either returned with grave injuries, or didn't return at all..." Anger flashed in his intelligent, crimson eyes. He had visited the medical wing quite often. It was because doctors and scientists continued to insist that he be examined for any signs of problems in his transformation. And every time he had went... The moment his feet stepped through the open doors... He had been greeting by pained voices, and the stench of blood and medicinal liquid. He would look around and see many bed occupied... The air would feel heavy with suffering. he had come to hate those medical visits, and avoided them as much as possible.
Once again, he forced the horrid images out of his mind. Already, he had a pounding headache from revisiting such memories. "Reno, Cissnei... I'm ready whenever you guys are." He shot a glance at the red-headed guy. "When are we going to leave?" He was determined to set off... He would do everything within his power to make this mission a success; maybe improve the way other Turks looked down on him. And he had a longing for revenge, as well... He wanted to make those responsible for all the troubles pay... They had hurt his comrades, even if those 'comrades' didn't view the Mutt in the same way. This organization was threatening to destroy the only home he had ever known... And there was no way he would take such acts laying down.
ooc: Ok, we totally need to take a helicopter when we go. I love rp Raze in a helicopter. He can't stand flying, and gets air sick very easily. XD

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno never meant for his pat to Raze’s shoulder to offend him or anything, it was just a dude thing to do. Pat the shoulder, smack to the back, handshake, it was all the same to Reno, he just kept grinning through, trying to brush off anything he did that was offensive. He never really thought his actions through sometimes, which either got him in trouble or turned out really great, but he always thought about them afterwards…but this time it wouldn’t help to say anything so he kept his mouth shut and completely dropped it. He didn’t want to make matters worse, besides, he didn’t know if Raze was offended or completely ignored it, now had something been said he would’ve set the record straight.
Though Raze was different, Reno never looked down on him. He was a Turk and he respected that, in fact he respected all his fellow Turks though it may not seem like it sometimes. Of course he was going to prank people but that was all in good fun, but still he had the upmost respect for his co-workers and never judged them, no matter who or what they were. He was just happy to have people around him who could handle a job. As he looked at the two infront of him he imagined that this would be a good team to work with, of course this was a very complex mission to go on, so back up might be required…Rude or Elena perhaps? It was an option and Reno definitely wanted to go on a mission with Rude sometime soon, he hadn’t seen his buddy in a while now, so it was rather quiet without- ….it was the same.
Reno listened as Raze spoke, talking about it being complicated. Of course it was complicated, everything these days was complicated anymore, it was starting to drive Reno to the brink of insanity actually. He couldn’t keep up as much these days. He simply nodded to agree with Raze and continued to listen. It was true, things were getting horrible, it was time for things to be taken care of. “Right…we need to stop this before it gets any worse…I don’t want to see any more of my Co-Workers sent to the hospital.” He said in a gloomy tone before he realized that he would have to give this his all. He smiled at Cissnei as she said she would have to get her weapon. She was all in as well, that was nice to know. “Alright…well we need to figure out a game plan before we leave…perhaps we should hit a few of the previous mission sites? You know…where things went wrong? Maybe we’ll find something.” He said with a small shrug, trying to remember back on some files he read about those missions that had failed.
With a small nod Reno thought for a second. They could easily check out one of the past mission sites, and with good luck they’d run into someone who knew something about this organization that was plotting all this….that would be a lucky way to go, but things just weren’t that simple. “If we can figure out a starting point we can leave in about ten minutes…I’ve got to get the helicopter read and what not before we can depart…” he said putting his hands in his pockets before cutting his eyes to Cissnei. “Any ideas where to begin? Some of the files have locations of failed missions on them…did you guys think that was a good place to start? I’m open to all ideas here…” he said looking back at Raze wondering if either of the two had any ideas to offer, if not, it was going to go Reno’s way then. He just hoped nothing utterly horrible would happen to Cissnei, or Raze, or himself…he wasn’t going to just sit back and relax if someone got hurt…he was going to do something about it. ...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." If things were that complicated she was fairly sure that they wouldn't be getting any free time off anytime soon. Which was fine, Turk duty came first, as it did now. She felt a strong sense of loyalty and dedication, and if Turk headquarters were that close to actually coming down something had to be done, and quickly. There was no way she was letting it all fall apart right after she came back. She hadn't even had the time to talk to everyone again. People returned with injuries? Cissnei felt her motherly side kick in at that, who had all received injuries? Were they doing alright again? And who hadn't returned? Cissnei could be a bit bossy with her motherly qualities, but usually she was always there to pull her fellow Turks out of a mess and get them back on her feet. Somewhat ironic seeing that she was the youngest Turk. She didn't ask to confirm who was hurt, she would check into it later, right now she had to keep her head on the problem at hand.
She nodded at Raze then, ready when they were. Seems they both wanted to know when they were to leave. Though Cissnei was one of the elite Turks, as she hadn't been around for quite a few years she had less of an idea as to what was going on then either Reno or Raze. She figured she should stay quiet and let them decide because she didn't think her input would help at this point. She was ready to go however, minus her shuriken. Reno had been teaching her martial arts, but she was still more confident in her long range weapons, thus the shuriken and her handgun. They were a great backup when she needed it. Plus the Turks had another weapon up their sleeves. The fact that with one phone call they would have backup in mere minutes, and backup that came raring to fight anything that was harming a fellow Turk.
With all the gloom Reno still managed to smile at her, which she attempted to give back, however the matter was resting heavily on her mind. This was the part she hated about being a Turk. When anyone got hurt she always felt angry and sad. This was HER family, and no one would mess them up. Cissnei nodded decisively and listened to Reno's plan to go to previous mission sites. That sounded like a good plan of action to her. It was rare that Turk missions failed, but if the Turks were in this bad of shape then something was obviously not right. How could the Turks have been this bad and Tseng not have told her? Yet she was back, which meant one extra Turk, that meant Tseng, Reno, Rude, Elena, Raze and herself were all on the job. She had heard whisperings that two Turks from before, when she had been with the Turks, were coming back, but she wasn't sure if that was just gossip or truth.
She would be more then ready in 10 minutes. Yet when he asked about starting points Cissnei wondered if she should say anything. She had noticed that there were failed missions in the Junon Harbor, but she hadn't read into them enough to know if they related. Raze would probably be able to fill Reno in more then she could, so she came up with one idea only. “I think we should go to the place where the most missions have failed. That would be a good way to start out, where we know something seems to be not right. Junon harbor is where a lot have taken place isn't it? Or am I wrong on that?” She glanced between them and then pulled out her phone and looked at the time. She needed to grab her weapon, but hearing this was first priority.

He listened wordlessly, ears flicking nonstop; as if there were some fly buzzing in and out of them. It was all just so much... He didn't want to dwell on the hospital images, and so he wouldn't. All the misery and uncertainty was really starting to get to his head. It made his fur begin to stand again. Everything was silent for a moment, before Reno spoke again. As he mentioned revisiting failed mission places, Cissnei seconded the plan.
Now raze had many bad points, but he also had a good number of pros on his part. One was a great memory. He looked at the ceiling, and counted off his fingers as he highlighted certain events. "Mideel had two missions in which only one who was sent returned. Gold Saucer had massive damage done to the Gondola and Chocobo Race Track in one rather large and long lasting fight. Rocket Town was left pretty much unharmed, but a few building caught fire in the struggle. There was actually a small bit of evidence found in the Wutai area; that was what pointed the way to the Organization possibilities. Fort Condor was left in shambles after a fairly large explosion..."
As Cissnei mentioned Junon, anger flashed in his already intense gaze. "There were 7 missions sent to the Junon area, mostly just routine maintenance for the cannon. But very few returned, and there was much evidence of blood shed. Perhaps we can find a blood stain and take a DNA sample..." He trailed off, feeling as if he had said too much already. He ducked his head in embarrassment to stare at the ground again. this was Reno's mission, not his. Reno would make the decisions.
But then, a single word made every hair bristle on his neck. Helicopter... A mass of objections whirled through his head, and he almost burst out with the words he longed to say. But at the same time, he tried to restrain himself. The result was a spasm of sudden coughing as his throat constricted. After a few moments, he looked back at Reno, eyes starting to water as he managed to breath again. "Heli.. Helicopter...?" He gasped, coughing a small bit more. When he finally got over the coughing fit, the Hybrid stared in horror at both Cissnei and Reno.
"Uh... I don't do well in helicopters... Or any flying machine... I can fly them, but I get ill really easy... Do we ha..." He cut his complaint in mid-sentence. Helicopter was the fastest way to get where they needed to go. He would just have to suck it up and deal with it; and hope that he didn't puke everywhere... The mere thought of nothing but a piece of metal between his feet and the mile drop to the ground below... It really made him nervous...

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno thought back on the files he had read…the missions that had failed, which with Turks…that didn’t happen very often. They were so good at what they did it was almost impossible to see them fail…but some things do tend to slip through the cracks sometimes. This group that they were dealing with certainly knew their stuff…maybe that’s why things were falling through. Were they being lured into a trap or something? Going out to search these areas, though it was necessary, it made Reno feel a bit…sick. His eyes shifted from Cissnei to Raze. Two co-workers and friends he didn’t want to see get hurt or worse. Of course there was always that possibility when being a Turk, every day you were risking your life for things like this…but this mission had ‘death’ written all over it for some reason. It couldn’t be the fact that many people had already failed now could it? It was starting to eat away at Reno’s nerves.
Almost seeming to doze off, Reno was just staring directly between the two, not quite at Raze and not quite at Cissnei…and his expression was blank as Raze was speaking of failed missions. It certainly sparked his memory actually hearing about these places. It seemed there were more missions failed than Reno cared to think about, that was bad and things needed to be stopped now. Blinking for a second, he looked at Cissnei and his face sort of fell to a frown…what if something were to come out and attack them or something? Perhaps he should’ve asked Rude or Tseng to go with, leave the ladies here and not throw them in the line of whatever fire would be coming their way.
So many places mentioned! It was hard to pick a starting point, until Cissnei mentioned Junon, and his eyes instantly flicked back to her, instead of looking sad though he looked pretty determined. Junon was probably the best place to start and the most dangerous at this point in time…nothing like getting a mission done when you go to the heart of the problem right? “Junon is probably the best place of anywhere to start.” Reno said getting a few words in before going back to his thoughts. While Reno stood quiet, his eyes going glazed over once again as he continued to think, he couldn’t help but start to smile when Raze started talking of the helicopter…Reno’s favorite way of transportation.
Finally coming out of his sort of depressing mood, Reno chuckled a bit. Some people just didn’t light heights and what not, but it would be the fastest way to Junon. The look on Raze’s face was utter horror, and Reno couldn’t help but rub the back of his head and smile nervously, the man was just going to have to suck it up if they wanted to arrive to Junon in good time and get things done…of course Reno didn’t want to be cleaning vomit out of the helicopter later either, it wasn’t a win/win situation here. So he sighed a bit and kept a grin on his face as he listened to Raze and his discomfort with ‘flying machines’. “It’s alright buddy…But it’ll get us there so much faster…just make sure you don’t look outside and I’ll be a good pilot…and I promise not to crash into anything.” He said with a chuckle trying to add some humor to it, maybe to lighten the mood or something. “If you start to get queasy, I can always land…and take a few minutes.” He said with a happy tone, just trying to be helpful as now they had a game plan of what to do and where to go…mission time!Words: 717 Muse: Good Tagged: Raze & Cissnei Notes: None

...Forgotten Turk..."Wings symbolize freedom for those who have none." Cissnei stood and listened quietly when Raze started giving out all the failed mission location sites. Turks were amazing in how much they could remember and retain. She herself knew and could recite almost everything hat were in the files from when she had been a Turk, even with her being gone for years now. There were a lot of failed missions. In fact, Cissnei had never heard of Turks failing so many missions, something was definitely up. “Theres plenty of places that we could start at.” They needed to get to the bottom of whatever was going on behind the scenes, she was just happy she could be a part of it, getting to the bottom of the organization behind what had been happening was top priority on her list.
All business and quiet readiness, Cissnei had already prepared herself in her mind for what lay ahead. Getting into 'turk mode' was what she did on missions, and she was in it right now. She kept looking between Reno and Raze and wondering what Reno was going to decide. When it came right down to it, neither her nor Raze would have any say on where they were going, it was up to Reno to decide. They could only suggest, although Reno usually listened to what the other Turks had to say. Most Turks listened to each other, with the whole dysfunctional family thing going on for them.
Seven missions had failed? She had known it was a fair amount, but that large number shocked her. Crossing her arms, she wondered what Reno was going to decide. Crimson eyes turned to blue and she caught the frown on his face. Why was he so serious? If she had known he was thinking of leaving her behind for Rude or Tseng she would have put an end to that thinking right then and there. Cissnei had always prided herself in holding her own, even against the men in the Turks. Though she might not be able to against Reno, Tseng or Rude, and definitely could against any of the Turks that had been there before. They had all tasted her wrath at one point or another, usually when she was being bossy about something, which she could tend to do at some points. Though it wasn't often that she actually bossed anyone around, usually it was because her motherly side came out.
So Junon it was. Nodding, Cissnei uncrossed her arms and let them fall to her side. She had best be ready for a tough few days. This mission wasn't just a little routine mission, it was top priority and there was a good chance that they wouldn't make it through, or would have to call in for all the backup. Rude and Elena could be there in a matter of minutes should something go wrong. That was a comforting thought.
Cissnei had known they would be taking the helicopter. It was Reno's favorite way of transportation, anytime they went on missions with him they took it, which was alright with her because she loved flying. Wanting wings had been her childhood dream, flying made her able to imagine she was actually able to fly. Her dream of flying with wings had been intensified all those years before when Genesis and Angeal had sprouted wings. It had made her long for them even more, even telling Zack about her dream. So when Raze stuttered about a helicopter Cissnei arched her brow. Was he not ok with helicopters? If he did he wasn't going to be in for a fun time.
She felt that motherly side of hers kick in again. When she had been younger she had stated that she was going to look out for all the Turks. That was something she took very seriously. The Turks were her only family, so she would always protect them if she could. She felt bad that Raze must not like flying, but in reality she couldn't do anything about it but be there for moral support. With a look of understanding, Cissnei walked foreword and put her hand on his arm, “I'm sure Reno will take it easy. And if you need to, he's right, we can stop.” Yup, motherly side had officially come out. She gave him an encouraging look and then turned, “Ok boys, I'll meet you at the helicopter.”
Straitening her suit, she smiled at them both and then walked off, chestnut hair bouncing a little bit from her steps. Cissnei was all ready for the mission. The adrenaline would kick in once they got to the mission site and in a battle, but for now she was in her Turk mode and ready for the action. Hopefully nobody would get hurt though, because there had already been enough death and injuries for a long time. Besides, being at the bedside for anyone always made her sick with worry. It was just the way she was, having lost her real family, she dreaded loosing anyone else. That had been shown in the way she had allowed Zack to get away three times when she should have brought him in. Though her conscience had bothered her a bit, when it came right down to it, Cissnei found it easy to follow her heard and not do something she was supposed to, though she wouldn't disobey direct orders. She wondered if any of the Turks knew that she had done that...and would they trust her if they knew? Words: 1019 Muse: Great! Tagged: Reno and Raze Notes: none

Oh, what was this? Information galore! She'd just hit the jackpot. Yes, she'd managed to get into that building, finally. It was pretty easy, actually. Nobody every bothered to check the vents, which is why people in the movies always used them. She would have laughed if she wasn't trying to be completely quiet. Down below, three turks, one with primarily canine features (hah, traitor. It was clear he was another one of their playthings. But he became their dog... literally!), spilled out there beautiful problems like fountains of knowledge.
"keep it coming," the reptile hissed inwardly, ice blue eyes narrowed into venomous slits"I hope you crash and burn, but keep it coming. Any loss for you is a gain for the mighty Bahamut Estille!" If she was going to get a clue on how to return to her original state, the best place to start was right at the heart of the problem. The Turks weren't directly involved, but they still worked for ShinRa, so they were close enough. She'd find her way to the lab later, now that she'd clawed a hidden entrance to the network of pipes. She could go anywhere from here, and she would. A mirthful smile curled across the miniature dragon's fleshy lips. Yeah, she'd toiled for days to make that tunnel, and it had finally payed of. So yay for her
... still, if she'd been her real self, she could have just TORN DOWN THE FUCKING BUILDING! Ugh, frustration. The clay-colored animal's musing made her tense and hiss quietly. She was not a lizard, she was a dragon! They made her a powerless little snake with legs! They thought they could get the best of her... well, she'd show them. She'd-- oh, they were about to leave. Damn short attention span. Now what?
Estille stole a glance at the crossroad a few feel in front of her, then back down at the graft. Lab or Turks? Lab or Turks? Lab... or... eh, Turks it was. With no time to waist, she advanced quickly and purposefully. To the helicopter! She had to get there before them, so she could slip in after them unnoticed. Her usually astute concentration slipped in and out of focus, torn apart by waves of morbid daydreams. Nails in their eyes, cut off their fingers, hahaha!
CREEEEEK! Huh? She paused mid step and dared to look down. That was a big mistake. A sickening rush of panic washed over Estille, violently throwing her back on her haunches a bit too quickly. This place was supposed to be high class. Why was that vent lose? Apparently, it had gone unnoticed for a long time because the lizard fell right through, clawing at the air for something to grasp, and plopped on the ground with a few minor bruises. The vent came down just as quickly, but it landed with a really loud clatter, and threw stealth right out the window. Not that it would have mattered either way. Good thing she wasn't a normal lizard, or else she would have had some broken bones, or been a pancake. Lovely thoughts.
Stars exploded into her vision. At first, Estille though "I'm going to faint." It wasn't until she'd collected herself that she realized she was in the worst possible place. Right in front of the trio of ShinRa Slaves. Damn freaking vent falling in on her like that! It should burn in hell. Panic clutched at her. She ran. Skittering for her life across the hall, scratching at walls, and generally acting like a cornered, dumb animal. No doubt, she was genuinely terrified, but she wasn't about to let that stop her. Were they buying this? They'd better. She'd practiced this a thousand times.
Crap, crap, double crappy crap shit! She'd been so intent of following them just seconds before, but now she just wanted to escape. Well, that could have gone better...Should have gone to the lab...

"Reno I don't doubt your flying skills; I've heard you are quite the pilot. I just... Hate heights, I guess. And landing will not be necessary. I do not think we can afford wasting precious time." He watched as Cissnei left, probably going to get her weapon. He turned back to Reno, opening his mouth to say something, and froze. The ears shot backward, and he stared up at the ceiling.
He could hear something, sure that there were tiny claws scraping against the steel ventilation shaft. Wordlessly, he pointing at the ceiling, shooting a glance in Reno's direction. He turned away, resuming his intense study of the ceiling. The claws were moving, they were further down now, and he slowly walked directly underneath were the sound originated. he had only taken a few steps though, before he became aware of the creaking steel. With a cross between a snarl and a yelp, he leapt backward, bringing himself back to stand next to Reno.
The the vent sheet of metal came loose, the creaking sending pain flashing through his sensitive ears. And down it came. It clattered to the ground a short distance away from both him and Reno, and the Lizard thing came with it. He stared in shock as the orange/brownish reptile hit the floor with a splat; that contact noise had him tilting his head, not really liking the sound.
After a moment of staring wordlessly at the creature, Raze leaned over and grasped its tail gingerly between his thumb and forefinger. He straighted up, holding the thing by its tail as if it were some diseased thing. He stared at Reno, starting to smirk. "Think we should get someone to check the vents carefully? We wouldn't want any more pests falling through it."
He shook his hand, making the scaly thing sway. "What should we do with it? I don't think lizards are exactly native around here. I guess it could be one of those creature science experiments. If so, we should return this test subject."

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno knew as well as anyone else around here how to fly a helicopter, one might say he was very talented at it…but then again, he had troubles sometimes, who didn’t? Everyone had their off days, and he just got reminded of his quite a bit. Despite what anyone things he did not crash the helicopter. It was totally Yazoo’s fault right there…of course Reno wouldn’t want to admit his piloting skills had faltered, but then again…he did get distracted by the remnant flying through his chopper. Either way, he was a good pilot, end of story. “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure the ride is as smooth as possible.” He said with a grin nodding at Raze before his gaze went to Cissnei. “alright see you shortly.” He said as she started off and Reno stood around still, almost waiting for something.
As silence filled the area, Reno kept his eyes on Raze as he seemed to be listening for something, and when he pointed up at the ceiling, Reno’s eyes shifted upwards at the blank ceiling. He couldn’t hear anything really, of course Raze did have better hearing than the average person…so of course Reno was lost right about now. Reno just kept quiet as the Turk seemed to follow this noise…whatever it was, and before Reno could open his mouth to question what was going on, he heard a creaking sound…the sound of the air vents above before it crashed down through the ceiling.
When the dust from the broken drywall cleared, Reno took a step forward before a lizard-like creature scurried out of there. What the hell? With a blank look on his face Reno finally spoke. “Oh look…it’s raining reptiles…” he said in a more monotone than humorous tone. It sure wasn’t something you saw everyday and Reno really had no more jokes for this one. He watched as Raze went over and picked the thing up by the tail and watched it just sort of hang there. Reno raised an eyebrow as he took another step forward, looking at the creature. “Yeah…I’ll mention it to someone later…” he said almost hesitantly as he looked even closer at the creature before Raze made it sway some.
“I’m not sure what to do with it…whatever it is…I’m pretty sure it didn’t come from any of the labs or other parts of this building.” Reno said taking a step backwards and leaning against the hallway wall. “Maybe we should just let it go outside…” he said with a shrug before folding his arms across his chest, not really wanting to worry about critters right now…they had a mission to attend to, and Cissnei would be waiting at the helicopter in the next few minutes, he didn’t want to make her wait long. “Let’s just get rid of it and be on our way…” he said leaning up from the wall and waiting to hear a response from Raze.Words: 602 Muse: Good Tagged: Cissnei, Raze, Estille Notes: Sorry its sort of...bleh, really tired when posted this.
