Yuffie walked into her apartment, beaming as usual. She quickly walked over to the twin bed, that was located in the corner of the room, and kneeled down, pulling out a long, thin cardboard box. She opened it with practised ease and let out a small sigh of relief, that was quickly replaced with a smile.
"Looks like all of my precious Materia are accounted for."
Yuffie nodded and closed the box, sliding it back underneath the bed, into it's original position. She stood up and grabbed her 4-point Shuriken, making sure it was secure on her back. She looked at the clock on her small nightstand, that stood to the left of the bed.
"Perfect. Just enough time to make it to the Seventh Heaven."
And so, Yuffie set out, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, heading straight for the bar. Once, she got there, she jumped down in front of the entrance, and entered.
"Fear not! The Great Wutai Warrior Yuffie has arrived!"

Yuffie turned in the direction of the stairs when she heard what sounded like footsteps come from the second level, and then slowly sift down to the first. Cloud, what a surprise! And with no shirt. She grinned mentally. If she was lucky she could turn this into potential blackmail.
"Yuffie?...What uh...brings you here...?"
"Hey, Cloud! What's up? I was just wondering if Tifa or anyone else was here at the moment."
It was then that Yuffie noticed the slight notion of a mark on Cloud's wrist. Though she had never really seen him without his gloves on at one point or another, Yuffie didn't remember that being there. Well...it couldn't hurt to ask...could it?
"Hey, Cloud...I just noticed that mark on your wrist. Did you get some sort of tattoo, or something along the lines of that?"

 Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out earlyApologies sucked. All of them. No matter how many times those two words of ‘I’m Sorry’ came out, they just didn’t seem to be enough. For some people. Reno was fearing this reaction with Cloud, either him getting brutally murdered…or worse. Cloud had every right to be angry with him, but if Zack and Tifa could forgive the red headed Turk…then…Couldn’t Cloud? Hopefully, Tifa was at the bar today, she said she would help Reno with his apology to Cloud, or at least make sure Cloud didn’t attack the red head and let Reno speak his peace. Hopefully…maybe today was the day that Reno could…tie up loose ends with Cloud? Standing outside Seventh Heaven and taking in a deep breath. Reno tried to think of any mental excuse to get himself out of this but it was too late now. He was here and now he was going to finish what he started. He pushed open the door to see Cloud, and…Yuffie? The Wutai princess right? Okay so maybe today wasn’t a great day already, but on the plus side, Reno didn’t have any materia on him. Yuffie had quite the reputation with materia. “Oh…I…Didn’t notice someone else was already in here.” Reno said nervously grinning at Yuffie trying not to make eye contact with the Ex-SOLDIER. “I guess I’ll come back later when I’m not intruding.” And with the quick nervous comment Reno shoved his hands into his pant pockets, did a quick U-Turn and headed for the door. |

::...The Puppy...:: [/color][/u] Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. Zack walked with a bounce in his step. Things, even with Cloud’s horrible news things still looked bright in the world. He had been spending time with the one woman he had truly loved, meeting new people, making friends and had actually been offered help from an old ‘enemy’ to start a business from. Things were going pretty well…but there was still that one piece of information…l’cie. He and Reno had discovered the portals, had Reno found out anything new about them? He should call him and see, that was the simplest way to do it. Steps carried him toward the place that was owned by his best friend and another of his good friends. He couldn’t believe they were engaged, so happy for them; he had a bounce in his step. That was so exciting, he was so, well proud for one, and happy for them to. But every once in awhile he wondered about what the future would bring. He knew Aerith was the one for him, the only one after he had met her. They had agreed not to go further and concentrate on Cloud, but it was hard. He was going to ask her to marry him, but in his mind he had to get his weapons shop and be able to provide fully for himself, her and any kids they would have. He blushed at the thought, but he had always wanted a big family, maybe because he was an only child? But at any rate, he wanted his family to be the kind that could have an entire football team with just them. He noticed suddenly that he was back by seventh heaven, so thinking it was like any other day he pulled out his phone to call Reno to ask how the portal research was going. He hadn’t figured out anything new. Holding his phone by his ear with his right hand his left pushed open the bar doors. He was looking down and didn’t hear what was said until suddenly he heard the hurried footsteps coming toward him. Glancing up he closely avoided running into Reno as he hurried toward the door. “Woah!” He said out loud before chuckling and snapping his phone shut and holding out a hand to shake, “I was just calling you. Where ya going?” Raising a hand he looked over Reno toward Cloud, oblivious to any tension in the room. “Heya Cloud!!” And then he noticed another person in the bar, man this place seemed to be a hotspot. He gave her a smile in the nice way he had. He didn’t know her, another friend of Cloud and Tifa’s? There seemed to be a lot of those. “Heya, I’m Zack!” |

"Uh...yeah...I did...Decided it was about time to get one..."
Yuffie could somehow tell that Cloud wasn't telling her the full story of that mark of his. But she sure as hell wasn't about to try to force it out of him. The guy was like a brick wall when he didn't want to give an answer. So she just shrugged, and was about to merry on with her questions, when the red-headed Turk, Reno, decided to pop in. He seemed to take one glance at her and then turn tail and almost run, before bumping into another man. Wait a second...that guy seemed vaguely familiar...
"Hey, Carrot-Top! Where do you think you're going!" Yuffie yelled, turning towards Reno, grinning. Oh how she loved to torment the Turk!
"Heya, I'm Zack!"
Yuffie turned her head slightly to look at the man who now called himself Zack. Once she got another good look at him, realization appeared on her face, and she pointed her finger at him, taking a half-step back.
"You're that guy who came to Wutai when I was 9, right before it became a resort! And helped me steal treasure!"

Of course this really was Reno chickening out of apologizing…or feeling the wrath of Mr. Strife here. “Ah No, no…” Reno said hesitantly not facing either Yuffie or Cloud. “I think it’s best if I leave.” He said with a light nervous chuckle as he tried to rush out the door but was stopped as he evaded a collide with a familiar face, Zack Fair. If only Reno wasn’t fearing for his life here, he would discuss the information on the portals the two discovered, that had emerged with weird looking monsters, but now probably wasn’t the time to mention all this in front of Cloud and Yuffie. Reno turned to be profile, he glanced around the room, looking at Yuffie, then Cloud, then back to Zack as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Well I…Uh…Don’t want to cause any trouble around here…I mean…I know Cloud and I here don’t exactly see eye to- nevermind.“ And Reno gave up on any excuses. “Oh, Zack…I have a few things to tell you about those…things we found the other day.” Before anymore comments could made from him, Reno heard those two magic words put together. Carrot. Top. Really? How mature were we all now and days? His eyes shifted and narrowed as he looked at the ninja from Wutai. “Carrot-top…like I haven’t heard that one before.” Why did everyone care where he was going? It didn’t matter, anyways, this was now becoming a better moment to apologize, witnesses around to testify if Reno was murdered. Reno sighed heavily before turning to face the blond haired man in the bar he so desperately feared right now. “Cloud…eh…If I may have a word? I want to…Apologize.” Reno said as he stayed a good 10 feet from Cloud, practically ready to run out the door if any negative remarks were made. |

He gave him a sidelong look and met his eyes for a second, wondering what was the matter. Then suddenly it hit him as he took another glance at Cloud. He didn’t look the greatest, kind of shocked and…well maybe a bit mad? He was impressed that Cloud was handling him being here so well, he himself had made peace with the red haired Turk, but he had also done more to Cloud then he had to himself. “Uh…” He mumbled out, not knowing exactly what to say to make the tension go away. When Reno started talking Zack closed his eyes part way and grimaced, Reno should just let it be…but then he said never mind and he released the breath he had been holding…now if only he wouldn’t say anything that…would make Cloud mad. He could joke around with Reno and be fine but if he made some wise crack to Cloud that just might be the end for Reno. When Reno said he would talk to him about the portals he smiled, “Great! Good news?” He shrugged, kind of telling him they could talk about it later if he wanted to, he had forgotten to tell Cloud about the portals, he would do that after everyone left, maybe Cloud knew what they were? Possibly, and he still needed to talk to Aerith about it. He was troubled, but really he wasn’t probably as concerned as he should be. He had been thinking more about the future and Cloud then the portals they had found. When the girl spoke to him he turned his head to look at her. He saw her point toward him and take a half step back. Wait…she seemed…familiar. How did he know her? When she said that he was the guy that came to Wutai and helped her steal treasure realization dawned on him as well, but he was still a bit confused…that couldn’t have been… ”It can’t be the greatest warrior of all of Wutai can it? Treasure Princess?” He knew he knew her name, it had been on one of the mission files… ”Yu…Yif…Yuffie!” He said with a snap of his fingers. And then he heard Reno speak the work apologize. He smiled and hoped that everything would go well with him apologizing. Giving Reno an encouraging look he glanced at Cloud, hoping he would be receptive to the idea. He glanced back toward Yuffie, crossing his arms and shaking his head, he remembered being so frustrated with her, especially since he would never harm a child, or let her be harmed. “what cha been up to? Stealing material still?”

Cloud then looked up...That was unexpected...At first Cloud was speechless....Everything that everyone had just said was nothing but mumbles but what Reno had just said really stood out.....
“Uh…”
Cloud glanced at Zack and then Yuffie....Then back at Reno.....
"Alright....Let's hear it...." Cloud was looking directly at Reno and right in his eyes as Cloud crossed his arms across his chest waiting for what ever Reno had to say to him.....If any one in this room knew Cloud like they thought, it would be hard for him to accept apologizes....Especially from the very Turk that help track down him and Zack a few years ago....

Yuffie just grinned and placed her hands behind her head before turning back towards Zack who was starting to remember her from all those years ago.
"It can't be the Greatest Warrior of all of Wutai can it? Treasure Princess? Yu-Yif-Yuffie!"
Yuffie just laughed, remembering all the good times back in Wutai before it had become a resort.
"Yup! That's me. The White Rose of Wutai, Yuffie Kisaragi!"
"Whatcha been up to? Stealing Materia still?"
"Hell yes! What wouldn't I be doing?!"
But then, Yuffie actually stopped her antics when she heard Carrot Top want to apologize. She almost had to take a double-take, and make sure she heard right. Carrot Top wanted to apologize!? Oh, she had to see this! So she turned around, and watched the Turk expectantly, waiting for him to say it.

Fiery Red HeadLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno was trying to keep up with all the people talking, even if there was only 4 of them total. Getting distracted between the conversation of portals with zack, and being called carrot top by Yuffie, and of course, the biggest one to pay attention to…Reno’s apology to Cloud. Reno grinned a bit as he looked at Zack, figuring he best respond to him and Yuffie before his big apology came through. “Yeah, I think it’s good news, I’ll let you decide later when I fill you in.” After he replied to the man who had forgiven him, it was time to break out the sappy apologies once again. Hopefully Reno could succeed in changing cloud’s feelings towards him, maybe they could be Allies? Or even friends? It’d be a nice change. With a deep breath Reno tugged a bit at his jacket collar and adjusted his loose attire trying to get comfortable with himself, but knowing what was about to spill out of his mouth, he couldn’t help but be nervous. He turned to Cloud and looked him head in the eyes, one thing he learned was if you were going to apologize to someone for something so terrible, you had to look them in the eyes, to show you weren’t lying, so Reno did. “Cloud, I want to apologize to you, to ask for your forgiveness, for the wrong things I did in the past.” This was only the start, but Reno didn’t want to sound like he was just making this all up. “Back a few years ago, I…personally never meant things to get that far, at least for me. With ShinRa, its like…an obligation to do your job.” Reno rubbed the back of his neck and broke eye contact with Cloud as he took a moment to think of more to say. “I tend to get really caught up in my work sometimes…though that’s no excuse for the horrible things you and Zack had to go through. And for that, when I should’ve said no to the orders I was given, I am sorry.” He was finished, it wasn’t as great and epic as he thought it would be, but no one wanted to listen to a monolog of how wrong and sorry Reno was. As silence started to fill the room Reno glanced around at Yuffie and Zack, trying to take in the atmosphere, was Cloud going to forgive him? Or no? “So you steal materia?” Reno said softly trying to break the silence after his apology. |

He hadn't been able to place it there for a second, but he knew he had seen it on a mission folder, the daughter of the leader of Wutai right? That sounded right, but of course he couldn't be sure. The white rose of...wow quite the title. He smiled, but then he laughed when she had an outburst about her still stealing stuff. “Remind me always to check my stuff...” he said with a shake of his head. He couldn't imagine her not stealing...actually he couldn't believe she was the same little kid that he had been so at odds against. He hadn't exactly known how to deal with her, sure she was stealing, but she was just a kid! He couldn't turn her in or anything, or even be to harsh with her. Still she knew how to cry and make him feel bad...maybe it was just his love for kids that had made him take it easy on her. But all teasing fell back when Reno started apologizing. Cloud seemed to be...like a brick wall about this whole thing, but at least Reno was trying. He could understand why Cloud would be so against Reno and the Turks, even if he wasn't didn't mean Cloud wasn't mad. At the same time the Turks had been his friends, his comrades, and they hadn't been that to Cloud, just at odds against him, a big factor of his friend's death. That was a lot to go up against when you were apologizing. He held his breath a bit and hoped everything would go well. Reno seemed to be wondering how to start. He cringed and leaned against the counter for the bar, giving Cloud a smile when he glanced at him. He was impressed with the apology, and though he still wouldn't' blame Cloud if he said no, it seemed heartfelt to him, and just the fact that he was apologizing showed his heart was in the right place. He gave a smiled to Reno when he glanced at him too, before settling his piercingly blue eyes back on Cloud...would he accept it? Silence filled every part of the room and as he shifted his weight the floorboard beneath him creaked, making him stop in mid-shift. With a sheepish glance around the room he cleared his throat and wondered what he should say...but Reno broke the silence and asked Yuffie if she stole materia. Glanced back and forth he remained where he was and waited for Yuffie to answer...maybe Cloud would go easy on him and forgive him? It was so messed up, the past...his philosophy? The past should stay exactly where it was...in the past. |

Cloud heard that response from Yuffie and just raised his eye brow....But smiled. “Yeah, I think it’s good news, I’ll let you decide later when I fill you in.” What was that all about? So, it seemed that Zack & Reno were cool? That seemed weird to Cloud as he watched the men converse.....
“Cloud, I want to apologize to you, to ask for your forgiveness, for the wrong things I did in the past.” And there it was....Was Cloud next on Reno's list? He knew now that Zack had forgiven him and he even knew Tifa did.....But it was just some thing that was hard for Cloud to say to any one....But Reno was not just any one....He was one of the Turks that had tried to track him and Zack down a few years ago when they broke out of the ShinRa Mansion....Yes that memory was so memorable....Cloud has never forgotten it....

"I see.....Your job comes first huh? That's more important to you than lives....?" Cloud was so not making things easy for Reno....He may have gotten Tifa and Zack's forgiveness but to him, it hurt him so much more.....Why Tifa even forgave him was beyond him....Remembering his home town torn to shreds by a bad seed.....Meaning Sephiroth...Where as Sephiroth was apart of ShinRa....And there for he could not forgive Reno....Not today any way.....“I tend to get really caught up in my work sometimes…though that’s no excuse for the horrible things you and Zack had to go through. "I'm sorry.....But you won't get off that easily....Your company burned my home to a crisp! And you want me to accept your apology? You could've said no to the orders you were given....But the thing is....you didn't! There's nothing I need to get from you then....And there's nothing I need now from you....You destroyed my home town....I can't....I can't forgive you Reno...." And with that he walked past Zack and walked out the front door.....He was so angry....How could that guy even try and ask forgiveness from him? What'd he think he'd get it? All the pain Cloud felt because of ShinRa.....There was no way in hell he was gonna let that Turk get what he wanted......

Yuffie watched silently as Reno apologized to the stoic Cloud. This was starting to get really deep, really fast. She wasn't sure if she should bump in, so she just decided to stay quiet and keep out of it. It would probably be better anyways.
And then there was Cloud's response. Okay, sure Yuffie wasn't exactly best buddies with any of the Turks herself, but wasn't Cloud going just a bit too far? ShinRa were the ones who turned Wutai into a resort and you didn't see Yuffie in a tantrum. She had gotten over it, not like how Cloud was acting.
Yuffie followed Cloud with her eyes as she watched him leave from the bar. She would probably have to tell Tifa about this one later...Wait, he did know he didn't really have a shirt on...right?
