Two Guns opened up his cell phone and listened to his phone calls. Having just returned to the Turk life, he had a lot of catching up to do with his former friends. There was so much they all probably did without him. It almost made him jealous to think what they all got to do on the field. He needed to get back into the action! Ethan would just have to make sure not to leap in front of trains anymore though. Cissnei would kill him if she knew he played with his life like that. Rod, on the other hand, found it hilarious. He and Rod were just crazy like that.
Between Rod and Ethan, Rufus and Tseng were going to really have their hands full. On top of it all, there was someone else whom made it pure chaos when the three of them were together. Reno had to be the most mischievous out of them. Not that Two Guns minded, Reno was always a blast to hang around with.
Speaking of Reno, Ethan was suppose to meet up with the red head at the new HQ. Having never been there before, Two Guns cursed himself for having gone in what looked like the wrong direction. "Friggin' woods!" he muttered, looking out of his car window at the trees around him, shaking a fist. It had to be the third time Ethan got himself lost in the woods in this forsaken place.
Grumbling, Ethan reversed and backtracked to where he started last. Picking up his cell phone, he considered calling Reno. No, if he did, Reno would probably tell the others that Two Guns had no sense of direction. Well, it was true. If he wasn't with someone, he'd get himself lost in an unfamiliar place like this. Muttering, Two Guns followed another road trail.
It took him a good thirty minutes before finally finding the right place. Stopping the car, Ethan stepped out and looked up at the place. Already, he forgot the name of it. It will get some getting used to for the former Turk. Climbing the steps and knocking on the door, he called out "Hey, Reno1 It's Two Guns!" he called when no one answered the door. Great, just his luck, now they probably weren't even here!
"Damn me!" he groaned.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early (can we say this is after the thread “No way to live” where Reno ran off as a L’Cie) Reno sat inside, well more like laid inside of the empty building staring at the ceiling with his arms folded behind his head. With a heavy sigh he closed his eyes and tried to think. People, or Turks were showing back up left and right, it was a bit confusing as to why. Cissnei had returned, that was fantastic, hell even having that annoying Rod guy back was pretty awesome. Though the punching was not something Reno exactly liked when first seeing the guy was back, but oh well. And now, Two guns, or Ethan was returning as well! Reno had gotten a few phone calls from the guy and was pretty excited to see him around ShinRa once again. Perhaps a few bar nights would be in order, perhaps it would be right to invite Rude or anyone else around here, but no one seemed to be in today, out of missions probably. Reno had been taking it easy ever since his mission with Cissnei when he was branded into a L’Cie.
While Reno was still laying on the couch inside with his eyes shut, he finally heard something from outside, sounding like footsteps making their way to the door. With a lazy yawn he sunk back into the sofa and just waited for someone to walk in, perhaps Cissnei? Or Rude? Nope, just a knock at the door and someone calling out to Reno. Reno opened his eyes as a huge grin swept across his face and he heard that it was Two Guns outside, or Ethan. Slowly sitting up from his relaxing position Reno made his way to the door as the guy groaned to himself, probably thinking no one was here. Reno opened the door before leaning against the doorframe and folding his arms across his chest. “Well it’s about time…I thought you would’ve been here by now.” He said with a grin across his face as he stepped away from the door letting Ethan in.
“Welcome back yo!” Reno grinned as he folded his arms behind his head and strolled back inside. “Did you get lost?” He chuckled not facing two guns. A spark of an idea ran through his head just then and he turned around to face two guns. “Dude! We should go check out the bar! I know everyone else is like out doing missions and stuff today, besides…there’s something I gotta fill ya in on.” He said shrugging his shoulders up and down briefly before his smile sort of faded a bit. It was about time everyone knew about his L’Cie business, maybe not his focus exactly but they had a right to know, especially if they were going to deal with Reno’s unstable L’Cie powers and what not for awhile. He still didn’t exactly know what he was going to do about all of this but thankfully Cissnei and all them accepted him. That’s all he really wanted, he wanted them to be safe too. The Turks were his family, and he was damn sure that he’d do whatever he could to keep them safe. “So what’cha say? Wanna go chill for awhile before everyone starts coming back?” He said putting a grin back on his face in a smug sort of way.Words: 648 Muse: Good Tagged: Two Guns :3 Notes: BAR TIME!

Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." (OOC: Fine by me, I didn't know what the new ShinRa HQ was really except maybe Healin Lodge.) It wasn't long before some signs of life became apparent. Blinking, Ethan turned at the sound of the door opening and someone's voice speaking to him. There, he found the literal red head out of all the Turks. Reno was leaning against the door way with his arms crossed before his chest. "Uheh...you know me!" Two Guns replied sheepishly.
In cities, he had a much easier time getting around. When it came to places like out in the middle of nowhere or forests, Ethan had a tendency to lose himself. It wasn't easy either, getting yourself lost like he did. Hearing Reno's greeting, Two Guns smirked in response. "Thanks, man. I'm glad to be back."
Entering the HQ, he looked around. It was spacey but nothing compared to what the original HQ was like. Judging by how things looked, it was just him and Reno today. Following Reno further into the place, shutting the door behind him, he heard the question and rubbed the back of his head. It was embarrassing to admit it. "Erm...well um...the woods er...it's hard to find my way aroun' places like this. Towns and cities are more my thing." He was certain he wouldn't hear the end of it later on though. Oh well, it was just a sign things were nearly back to normal again among them. Besides, they always found some dirt on one another to lightly tease one another with anyway.
Suddenly, Reno was hit with an idea, turning to Ethan, he suggested they go check out the bar. Hell, that would be a great idea! Like Reno said, no one else aside from them was around. What also piqued his interest is what Reno had to fill him in on. Looking at the now second in command, Two Guns wondered what was up with the fade of a smile. "If it's already abou' the Prez's suite being turned pink, I know already. He gave me a paydock for it." It had been an attempt to lighten the mood a bit.
When it came to the L'cie and Fal'cie, Ethan knew nothing about them yet. He didn't even know that Reno had been branded an L'cie. Even if he did know, Two Guns' opinion of Reno wouldn't change. The Turks were all like family regardless if they didn't always get along. Ethan knew he could never kill a fellow Turk nor would he even consider it. It had been because of his past that he was able to take the way of the Turk and abide by it. He appreciated the bonds everyone had and knew it more than anyone else, except for maybe Rod.
"Yeah, sure. Sounds good ta me. I don't think they'd be sendin' me out on anything extreme yet anyway." At that, he turned back toward the door.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early (Erm, I really have no idea lol) Reno stood there, he was glad to see a familiar face around there…that wasn’t Rod or anything for now. He had taken a lot lately, it was nice to see someone who had no idea what you were planned to do or what you had been turned into, not to mention, not many people even from the planet Gaia had any idea what this…L’Cie thing was. Only reason Reno himself knew before he was branded was because he and Zack Fair had ran into a bunch of those flailing Cie’th monsters and Reno did some research on the beats…thus, he found out all sorts of information on Cocoon and Gran Pulse. Reno just chuckled at Two Guns…Ethan, and grinned widely as the two always seemed to get along, not it just felt like normal. That was a good feeling these days.
“It’s good to have you and the others back. Seems everyone’s coming back.” Reno said rubbing the back of his head in thought. It seemed after Cissnei came back, the rest just seemed to follow, like a chain reaction, but it was true, once a Turk, you really couldn’t get rid of that lifestyle. “Next time…I’ll get you a GPS or a map.” Reno said poking a bit of fun at Two Gun’s ability to get lost easily…at least he had a good reason. Places like this were hard to come by, especially if you were more used to the city, so Reno would be sure to not poke too much fun at the guy…but some was definitely in the near future.
Reno was always one to get in trouble around ShinRa. Pay docks were nothing new to him, but he didn’t mind. He did his job to the best of his ability and still made great money, depending on what trouble he had gotten in that week. But for now, no one was around the HQ, and going out seemed like a great idea to the fiery red head. Though his eyes flickered at Two Guns when he spoke of turning Rufus’ suit pink. How did he manage to get away with that alive?! “You did…what? You know what, I think I’ll pass on the story. I don’t need any ideas.” His grin widened a bit as he thought of all the awesome pranks that he could now pull with Two Guns here and the others…more targets. So this whole ‘being a L’Cie’ thing wasn’t going to be as bad as Reno thought, so long as he had his friends here to get him through it…and especially Cissnei. Oh, that reminded him…though he would never forget, he had a wedding to plan…lovely.
He could see it now! Cissnei running around frantically about cake, flowers, guest list and Reno laying back on a couch chilling while the future wife rushed around. That was pretty much how it was going to be…so long as Cissnei didn’t threaten to cut off all his hair or something. No, actually Reno was going to put a few suggestions out there, if Cissnei wanted them, but enough relationship talk! Reno was ready to go out and enjoy himself! Bar time! Reno grinned happily as he followed Two Gun’s towards the door. “Nah, you probably won’t get assigned anything till…like tomorrow or somethin’ like that.” He said shrugging his shoulders a bit as he remembered Cissnei was assigned something practically the day she got back…who knew what missions lay ahead. Reno didn’t want to think about work, so heading out the door he left all responsibilities behind. For now, he was just one of the guys.Words: 713 Muse: Good Tagged: Two Guns Notes: Sorry it took so long v.v

Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." (OOC: Hey, no worries lol. I knew you were busy. rl comes first.) Ethan was completely unaware about what the L'Cie were or anything to do with Cocoon or Gran Pulse. Unlike most of the other Turks, Two Guns was oblivious. It was just like old times to him. He and Reno got along just fine. Where Ethan could be serious, he was also a fellow mischief maker though nothing to the caliber of Rod and Reno. Hearing what Reno said about them all coming back, Ethan smiled at the thought.
"Good to see ya again, man. Life's been too boring outside." He meant it too. Ethan had been crazy enough to jump in front of a train, if that hadn't already been mentioned before. He slowly shook his head, chuckling at the tease. "Hey, don't encourage it." He smirked, joking back at Reno. He knew the other was just busting him for being horrible with sense of direction. "Although, a GPS or map would really help!" he added, bemused. If someone ever wished to get Ethan into trouble, just send him to find a place out in the woods. It was sure to keep him busy for a good few hours...or days, give or take. Even now, he currently beat himself up for being so pathetic. How did he manage it? He should never take turns to somewhere else and keep more detailed directions.
It was then that Reno looked back at him curiously about Rufus's suite. "Don't tell a soul, Rufus will kill me if he finds out I snitched." Two Guns couldn't help but laugh a little at the memory. Sure, he paid for it in the end but it was too hard to not laugh at. Rufus didn't wear the pink suite but it would've been damn hilarious if he had. Minerva only knew that Rufus could use some humor in his life. Between himself, Reno and Rod the blond was going to get a lot of it.
Ethan still didn't know about Cissnei and Reno. If he did, he would've been really tormenting Reno right about now. He was way behind the times and didn't have a clue about it either. When he finds out though, he'll definitely be surprised. Mainly because he didn't think Reno the type to ever settle down with someone, let alone Cissnei. Not that he would criticize it either. It would just be a great surprise to him to hear such things coming from Reno.
Hearing what Reno figured, Ethan guessed he was right. Two Guns probably wouldn't be tossed into anything too extreme just yet unless they needed the extra man. Heading out the door with Reno, everything work was dropped. They were just two guys headed for the bar. "I drive?" he inquired, once they were well away from the building. Two Guns got out his keys, waiting for Reno's response. Unless Reno would rather abuse the helicopter, Ethan didn't mind driving them. He was just happy to be back. Giving them a ride to and from was no big deal for him but then again, it would suck that he'd have to drink lighter to be the designated driver...if they weren't too tipsy to go back that is.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno was pretty laid back today, no missions to worry about, no girlfriends to keep happy, no nothing. All and all a good day for him, at least so far it was. “I can believe that.” He said with a shrug and a grin on his face. “That’s why everyone’s comin back ya know? To join in on the fun once again!” That how he liked to think of it. Reno never left the Turks unlike some people and for him, he never had a dull moment really. Sure work would be slow at times but then again, that was everywhere, but still, never a boring moment when you were in the ShinRa business. “Either way, you’re back and things are bound to be less boring…believe me.” And that he knew all too well. With all those stupid PSICOM soldiers and all that chaos happening around here, things were bound to get…pretty busy come the next few months or so.
“Encourage it? I fully support it! Hell, I’ll personally buy you a map or something…it’d really do ya some good.” Reno said as he kept poking fun at Two gun’s lack of direction skills, oh how that wouldn’t go away, at least for now. It gave him some ammo against the Turk, which Reno of course had ammo on practically everyone! It made it easier to joke around and prank people when you had good ammo. “Glad you agree…maybe Rufus’ll look into it someday…” He said with a shrug already seeing how this day was going to go. God willing Reno didn’t get cursed with any bad luck today, it should be a pleasant day after all. Relaxing most of the day, and now getting to go hang out with a friend at a bar! It was like…heaven. A perfect day, though Cissnei wasn’t here, but sometimes you just needed guy time. You could only take so many romantic jokes and what not before you were about to explode! Not that Reno particularly minded…
Heading outside Reno stared down at Ethan’s car while trying to imagine Rufus in a pink suit. That image just didn’t work for him. He didn’t think he’d ever see Rufus in anything…fun or cheerful. Not that the Turks wore the awesome outfits. Suits and that was pretty much it, but being a boss and a leader figure, the man should lighten up a bit and not take everything so seriously…like, get a sense of humor? A tiny one would be nice. “I would’ve loved to see his face…priceless, it probably was worth the paydock…” Reno chuckled a bit as he headed out towards the car, today, was not a helicopter type of day, especially if there was alcohol involved. Reno didn’t need any more crap about him crashing any helicopters.
“Yeah you drive…unless you don’t think you can find the way.” Reno’s expression for that statement was blank as he looked at Ethan for a moment, before a smile grew across his face a bit. “That was a joke. Laugh!” He said walking past him and patting his shoulder once before making his way towards the passenger’s side of the car with his hands in his pockets. “So aside from boring…how was the…’normal’ life?” It was a question Reno had wanted to ask Cissnei or anyone else who had experienced it firsthand, not to say that you weren’t normal if you were a Turk, but some habits are hard to grow out of. Living a normal life and not having to worry about getting annihilated every day, well that did sound nice sometimes. But still, L’Cie or not, Normal or not, whatever else there was…Reno wouldn’t trade his lifestyle or anything about it for anything. “I got a couple things to fill ya in on when we get to the bar…one’s pretty awesome, the other…well I’ll just wait before I start babbling.”Words: 773 Muse: Even better than before! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." (OOC: Hope you don't mind the brief skip to the bar after the driving part. If you do then no prob, I'll change it.) Two Guns was fine with the teasing for now. It was only a matter of time before Reno gave him ammo to use on him. Listening to what Reno had to say, Ethan guess he was right. It was no fun, at least not to himself, outside the Turks. Adjusting wasn't an easy thing for him. There had been numbers of times where he pulled out a gun on a guy for pissing him off. A guy that probably didn't deserve it since he hadn't done anything to really deserve a gun to the face except for annoying Two Guns. Where he had originally thought normal life would've been easier for him to adjust too, it never did. Ethan wasn't ever going to live a normal life. He was too much into the action. Once a Turk, always a Turk.
He gave a chuckle when Reno stated things would be less boring with him back. "Yeah, glad to be back. Imagine the jokes we'll be able to get away with now!" he mused. Already, Ethan was thinking of what things he could do. There had been that one time where he had pranked Hojo's cell phone. Needless to say, the scientist hadn't at all been that pleased and called him back with quite a spiteful, slap in the face message. Two Guns would still do it again though for the thrill.
Ethan sighed as Reno chimed in, stating a map would do him some good while also saying he supported the horrible sense of direction and even going as far to say Rufus should look into it. "Laugh it up!" he stated, shaking his head. Well, at least Rod hadn't spilled the beans yet about him running in front of a train. Otherwise, Ethan might not hear the end of that one either and probably get nagged at by Cissnei. Cissnei was the youngest but treated the other Turks like she were their mother. The last thing Ethan wanted was to get nagged to death for his daredevil stunt.
"Rufus will probably get gray hairs if this keeps up...and yeah, it was worth it. Never saw him so angry before!" Two Guns said with a chuckle. Yes, it was tough not to laugh when Rufus had been yelling at him the entire time about his pink suite. Ethan couldn't blame him but couldn't help himself trying to stifle a horrible laugh. Thankfully, Rufus didn't notice and didn't try shooting him for being an idiot. It was a lucky thing he held the Turks in high regards...well, most of them that is.
Personally, Ethan hoped they wouldn't be using the helicopter. Two Guns didn't want to have to deal with a crashed helicopter or falling out of one when drunk. Not that a car had been any better but at least they would be somewhere on the ground. Two Guns didn't think they'd be too badly affected by the alcohol. Well, unless Reno really let himself loose. Not that Two Guns minded it, he just hoped he'd be sober enough to make sure Reno didn't do anything too crazy and he didn't end up following him.
Then again, it was always funny seeing what happened but he just hoped he'd be sane enough to help him if things go too insane. He blinked when Reno stated that yes, he should drive unless he thought he couldn't find the way. There had been a short pause between them before Reno told him that it had been a joke and to laugh. "Oh ha ha! That was so funny I forgot to laugh!"" he retorted with a sigh but smiled anyway. "That's alright, Red...you just wait. I'll eventually get ammo on you one day!" he said with a smirk.
Opening the doors of the car, Ethan hopped into it and waited for Reno to seat himself. Sitting in the car already, he looked over at Reno curiously when he asked him how the normal life had been aside from boring. Two Guns thought about it for a moment. "Well, I managed to get myself out of the slum life I used ta have. My old friends found me but thanks to Elena, we handled them. I got myself a job at the shooting gallery and at a Gun shop, both part time. Pay was decent enough, didn't need to resort to shooting people although I came close to it a few times." Two Guns shook his head after saying that. Adjusting had not been an easy thing for someone like him who had a rough life.
"Not a day went by where I wasn't thinkin' about the Turks again." Two Guns revved the engine up once Reno got in after Ethan had unlocked the doors. Reversing the car out of the parking spot, he heard what Reno said. "Alrighty then...lookin' forward to it, Red!" he stated. With that, they set off down the road where Two Guns was certain he had last come from.
----------------------------------------------------------
Eventually, they came upon the bar. Parking the car, Ethan stepped out as he set the keys into his pocket after locking it once Reno got out. "Just like old times."

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Reno was one for jokes, he was quite the prankster and what not, but despite what some people may say, he was quite the worker. He didn’t get to Second in Command for just being a lazy bum who laughs at everything, no. He was very dedicated and serious when it really came down to it, but unlike some people around the ShinRa building…he had a sense of humor and knew when to take a joke and not get all huffy about it. “I’m sure with more in on the jokes…I’ll still be blamed for most of them” he said with a sigh before a small chuckle. That was true, anytime something happened around the building that wasn’t right or a prank, all eyes were on Reno with the oh so common question of ‘what did you do now?’ it was something he was quite used to by now, something he actually laughed at as well. He really was known for his stunts and jokes…and now he had more people to help him out with lightening up the Turk’s lives with outrageous jokes and pranks!
With a small nod, Reno chuckled some more. Oh he would definitely ‘laugh it up’, how great it was to joke around! Lately, things had been so down in the dumps, so depressing even for Reno, it was hard to get a good chuckle out of anything. “I can’t wait to see how he handles all of us here at the same time.” He said with a mischievous and somewhat smug grin on his face as the wheels in his head began to turn. Paydocks or not, there was going to be some serious pranking going on. Of course, this was all good, it was distracting Reno from those many thoughts he had once before about his focus, about life, about Cissnei, and about his future. A man could only take so much deep thought for one day, and Two guns seemed to be the perfect distraction right now. “He’ll probably save a lot of money with all the future paydocks to come.”
So it probably was a good idea NOT to take the helicopter. That would be one embarrassing call back to ShinRa HQ, stating how they ran it into a tree or something while obnoxious laughter would be heard in the background…or something like that. Car was the best bet. If anything were to happen at least no one would drop down thousands of feet and splat on the ground…unless they really over did it and someone drove like a crazy person, then again, responsible enough if they did have too much to drink, both of them, Reno could easily phone someone like Cissnei or Rude to come get them, rather be safe than sorry.
“You bet’cha that was funny. I’m a comic genius.” Reno said pulling at the collar of his jacket and acting cool for a brief moment with that grin on his face before he decided not to let his ego get to him, for now. Red…now there was a nickname he didn’t mind. Of all things it was much better than the typical, Ginger, Carrot top, and the other obnoxious names he would get called, but Red, he could live with. “One day…that day may not be soon enough for ya Two guns.” Reno said with a grin as he opened the passenger door to the car and sat inside placing his seatbelt on and slumping in his seat a bit as he leaned back and closed his eyes, listening to Two Gun’s story of the ‘normal life’ he had lived before returning to the Turks. “Well sounds pretty good…Gun’s seem to be your specialty, might as well make a livin’ off what ya know eh?” He said as he nodded to the story. What would it have been like had Reno left the Turks…what would he have done to fit in? That was a thought that hadn’t crossed his mind before…and he sure didn’t want to think about it now.
“The Turks aren’t somethin’ ya can forget that easily.” Reno said with a small nod as he sat there in his seat now silent as Two guns drove and he rode along. What was he going to tell him first? That he was a L’Cie (and explain that) and tell him his focus was to destroy the very company he loved and cherished? Or that he and Cissnei were going to get married and he had wanted Two Gun’s to be one of the groomsmen…might as well start off with the first, start it on a lighter note.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once the car was parked Reno got out and stretched a bit as he shut the door behind him and stared at the bar. “The good ol’ days.” Reno said with a small smile as his eyes cut to Ethan. “Well, what are ya waitin’ for?” Reno said before starting to head towards the door inside, his mind now back to thinking but this time, not so much about life and himself, just the words he was going to spill out once they got settled inside and started talking, conversing, and catching up on what had been going on since Ethan’s departure from ShinRa…at least recent events.Words: 1014 Muse: I kicked my muse in the butt! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." (OOC: It's fine, no need to apologize.) Ethan couldn't help but smirk in amusement hearing what Reno said about the joking around. Knowing Reno, it was obvious that he'd be the one more likely to do more pranks than the rest of the guys put together. Now that he thought about it, Two Guns had to inwardly laugh. It was an evil thought but to think Reno could end up blamed for a prank he did was very amusing. That was definitely one way to get back at the red head. However, not right now. Ethan was enjoying hanging around Reno right now. Guys will be guys though so it would be only a matter of time before they were pranking each other aside from the others. It will definitely be funny to see what they would all come up against one another.
Two Guns knew Reno as the kind of guy who could take a joke. That was probably why he had gotten along fine with Reno as opposed to someone more serious like Gun. True, Ethan could have his serious moments but being serious all the time was plain boring. He liked to live a little every now and then. Hearing what Reno said next was enough to make Ethan burst out laughing. "Oh, I'm sure he'll be a very happy man...a bit grayer, but happier!" he said with a snicker.
If only Rufus Shinra knew what he did in letting some of the former pranksters return. With Reno, Rod and Ethan there was sure to be plenty of chaos in the amusing way. Thinking about the transportation options, Ethan was happy to be on the ground. If they got seriously drunk, there was no telling what they'd do. Two drunk men plus a helicopter, it wasn't difficult to see how badly that would end. Hell, even with a car they would be dangerous. Hopefully, if it came to that, they'd be able to call someone up to lend them a hand.
Ethan sighed before rolling his eyes in amusement hearing Reno's retort. "We'll see about that!" he answered back with a smirk. It was all in good fun. Even though they were messing with each other, it was just fun and games. No real threat was behind any of it. It'll be amusing to see how good they got each other with a prank or two...or three or four. It wasn't over yet until the fat lady sings. Where ever that lady currently was, it was obvious she was on extended leave right now.
As they started off, when Reno had managed to settle himself into the passenger seat, Ethan wondered what he'd say about the normal life. A shooting gallery, Reno would probably laugh but surprisingly, he hadn't. Instead, he merely stated how it had been one of Two Gun's specialties so it had been a good idea to use it as an advantage. "Huh, guess you're right abou' that. It's nothin' like the Turks but it wasn't too bad either." As they drove off, he heard what Reno said about the Turks and nodded.
"Yeah, you can't forget about the Turks."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ethan peered up at the bar they were going to be in. It was just like any other typical bar. Nothing special but it served its purpose. A place for the two Turks to sit back and let loose. Sure, it wasn't the usual bar they used to go to but it did bring back memories to Two Guns. Taking his dulled hazel eyes off the bar to look back over at Reno when he asked him what he was waiting for.
Honestly, Ethan didn't know what he was waiting for and just followed the red head into the bar. Looking around, he noted some tough looking guys but they paid them no mind. Everyone knew enough not to mess with someone in the uniforms he and Reno wore. No one in their right mind would even dare. Looking ahead at where Reno was heading, Ethan could see there weren't too many people here. Judging how things were going, the crowd wasn't all that bad. It was easy to find seats for themselves, that was for certain. Ethan didn't like fighting random idiots for seats.
"Yo, Reno. What about over there?" he inquired once they had entered the bar. He was pointing to a table with freed up seats. No one would be able to really listen in on what they were saying either. He had no idea what Reno planned on saying. He had no idea that Reno and Cissnei planned on getting married too. Boy, was he going to be surprised whenever the subject turned to that. Hell, he'll be even surprised as well as confused when it came to the L'Cie subject since he hadn't heard of them.
Heading over to the table he pointed out, Ethan plopped himself into a seat.
Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Oh the thought of pranks made Reno grin wide. At least he’d have some new comrades on his side for pranks instead of getting yelled at by every other person around ShinRa, from now on it wasn’t just him pulling the pranks! Finally! A way for him to get yelled at…less! Maybe! Probably not. In fact, Reno would probably get yelled at even more for being an ‘influence’ or just being stupid and pulling pranks still, and of course the paydocks would still come almost regularly as always, unless he decided to be a good boy and not prank. Maybe mature up a bit? Show people that he could be serious and what not! Nope to that one too, Reno was Reno, and if no one liked the way he was, outgoing and what not, then that was their problem, they were stuck with the redhead till the day he died, they’d suffer his annoyingness and deal with it.
Rufus would have a lot to deal with now these days. With everyone coming back and wanting to be a Turk again, Rufus would have his hands full, not to mention the mischievousness of Reno, Rod, and now Two Guns! It would be really entertaining to see how long it would take before the poor guy exploded…or did indeed turn gray haired. Reno couldn’t help but chuckle at Ethan’s response. Certainly Rufus would be happy…maybe, that has yet to be seen. “That’s probably an accurate theory.” He said with a small nod of his head as his mood had shot straight up since Ethan had made his appearance known, it sure was a good distraction for Reno.
The jokes and friendly little verbal strikes at one another would soon become a common thing, and already Reno was plotting a prank to pull on Ethan, but what? What could he possibly do? Stuff his guns with painballs or something? Nah, what he needed them for a mission? Bah, Reno would come up with something just to irritate the guy, and of course he would had to know it was Reno who did it. Reno always left some sort of hint as to who it was, but then again, everyone always guessed it was him, seeing as it always was. “I’ll say it again, Comic Genius.” He said with a wide grin on his face as he was nice and settled comfortably into his seat.
Listening to the normal life of Ethan, Two Guns, Reno didn’t really want to think much about how his life would have been. He didn’t know what to think that was more like it, He didn’t really know what more there was out there. Get a normal job? Have a family? But…it just seemed to boring and well, normal. Being a Turk was special, it meant you were really good at something and that you were wanted for the job. It was a small elite force, not anyone could just apply for the job, being a Turk was everything to Reno, something he never wanted to give up. “I dunno if I could ever make it in the ‘normal’ world.” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders as she slumped a bit in his seat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh the memories, the good times of a bar. A place to relax and forget about your workload or any other worries you had, in this case, it was a place to lose your thoughts and yet Reno would have to think about them, to explain everything to Two Guns. Now…what was the order Reno was going to state things? Marriage then L’Cie…or L’Cie then Marriage? Which would go better, end on lighter terms? Or darker terms? Now that he thought about it…he might as well end his talking on lighter terms so the two could actually enjoy themselves instead of sulking on a horrible subject, and Reno didn’t wanna dwell on anything more than he already did.
Pressing one hand against the door and strolling into the bar, Reno looked around. It looked pretty average on the inside. Sure people stared for a brief second at the two Turks, but that was normal. People knew not to mess with the men or women from ShinRa, otherwise it might get you in a tight spot, but for not, Reno wasn’t a Turk, just a guy out to get a good beer and call it a day. No confrontations for him today! At least that’s what he hoped for. With his eyes being a bit glazed over, staring into the bar, Reno’s attention then directed at Two Gun’s as he pointed to a seat where they could go, Reno simply nodded and made his way over to the table and sat down. With shifty eyes towards Ethan, Reno folded his arms as he decided to start his conversation. “So…a lot has gone on lately…I guess it’s time to fill ya in bud.” He said with a smile as he waited on a server or something to ask them on drinks, then maybe dive straight into the subject.Words: 943 Muse: Good, Tired though. Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan chuckled when Reno stated that it might be an accurate theory concerning Rufus. Yes, the President would surely get several gray hairs with the three of them now. It wasn't just Reno who would be responsible for all the pranking. Rod and Two Guns would be nearly as bad.
It looks like Rufus didn't consider the consequences of allowing the three of them to be together again. Mayhem would definitely ensure if they all felt mischievous at once. That was something Ethan knew would happen. People left and right wouldn't see it coming. Turk shenanigans strike again! It would be a blast to see what things they could get away with or not. True, someone might get hurt for doing the kind of pranks they did. Of course, only the pranksters, not the victims. Ethan never did anything that would get his victims hurt.
When Reno stated he wasn't sure if he would make it in the normal world, Ethan shrugged. "I think if you worked to your strengths, you'd do fine." Two Guns worked to his but even then he hadn't fully put them to good use. The line of work he was accustomed to would've not been anymore different than what he did as a Turk. Ethan had at least tried to stem away from the crime life. He didn't think he could stand living that sort of life again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Two Guns had no idea what was bothering Reno. Even though their interaction had basically been the same as it had in the past, Ethan couldn't tell something was off. If anything, when he earlier met up with Reno was when he could tell something had been off. It hadn't been too obvious though. Reno could often hide what he was thinking and being a guy, there was no way in hell Ethan would be able to detect much if something was wrong unless it were really obvious. A lady would have an easier time telling if something were wrong with another individual.
He waited for Reno to head over to the table before he did. Just because it would be a waste of energy on Ethan's part if Reno didn't want to sit there and chose a different spot. Thankfully, Reno wasn't picky. Now that Two Guns thought about it, he was used to the seat changing that Shotgun tended to run him through. That girl could get very annoying at times. Why she ditched the high life to make their lives hell, Ethan didn't know. He was just happy that for now, he didn't see her.
Two Guns was able to tolerate her more so than others would stand for her. Still, even he was driven nuts by her but he'd never do a lady harm. Not unless he had orders and thankfully no women tended to be targets for what orders that were given. It was mostly men that Ethan found himself tracking and disposing of from what he could remember in his past Turk days. Sitting himself down, Two Guns let his eyes wander about the bar. It wasn't anything special to look at but at least it was something.
His dull, hazel eyes returned to Reno when he spoke. Raising a black eyebrow, he heard how apparently a lot had been going on. That it had been time to fill him in on what was happening. "Go ahead then, Red. I'm all ears." He sat back in his own seat, so that he was comfortable. Compared to the usual stiff appearance they had to uphold when on the job, it was a little strange to see a Turk sitting back like a slouch practically. As he did so, a server came over to their table.
"Hello, I will be your server for tonight, what will you two gentlemen be having?" he inquired politely. Glancing toward their server, Ethan considered what he would be having already. There wasn't much of a difference between what beverages to have among bars. There usually was the same thing with slight variances. "I'll take a nice cold beer. How 'bout you, Red?" The server quickly jotted down on his little notepad he had as to what Ethan just ordered. He then peered over at Reno, waiting for an answer before he'd jot that down too and take his leave.
Now, it was just Ethan and Reno. Sitting back, looking back at the literal red head of the Turks, Ethan wondered what it was that he needed filling in on. Probably nothing that had to do with the Turk business. Once they were in a bar, everything concerning work was thrown out the window.Ever since his return, Ethan had only caught a few tidbits from those he encountered. Rod had at least let him in on some information. For the most part though, Ethan was left in the dark about everything else.
Sitting there, Two Guns hoped it wouldn't be the announcement of someone's death that he knew. That would really suck. However, Reno's expression didn't indicate something nearly that grave. Then again, trying to even read Reno by expressions wasn't that simple. Patiently, he waited. He was giving Reno the time he needed to prepare himself to spill whatever it was he had to say. Hopefully, it won't give Ethan a gray hair.

Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early “I bet’cha I can sum all this up in one statement.” Reno said with a smug grin on his face as he had his arms behind his head in the car, just relaxing back into his seat. “Prepare for a ton of paydocks in the near future.” Which was probably true. Reno wasn’t poor or anything, but he sure could make a lot more if he weren’t joking around as much, then again, he was still well off with his paychecks, and being used to the paydocks, he didn’t mind it so much anymore. At first it ticked him off a bit sure, getting docked pay for a simple joke, but he learned that some people just don’t have quite the sense of humor like him around the ShinRa building.
Oh boy, work at your strengths? Reno couldn’t really help himself now, he smiled at Ethan and paused a moment. “Work at your strengths huh?” With that he kept silent for a few moments, as if pondering the thought. “Well then, I guess I could’ve gone out and been a comedian…” of course…his ego was probably feeding him that crazy idea, though it was totally a joke and he knew it. It was just easy to make a joke out of things these days, whether or not they were lame, Reno did it a lot. It got a few laughs sometimes, but then again, there were times where people just stared at him. “Comic Genius.” And that was the last thing he had to say on the subject before getting to the bar.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stepping into the bar, Reno felt a little bit at peace. No stress, nothing work related, and that was alright with him! He would gladly take a bar night any day of the week. It was certainly a good stress reliever, and especially with the people you got along with. Sitting down, the words seemed to rush to Reno’s head in a giant jumble of chaos. So he was going to have to explain this L’Cie thing, that was easier said than done…literally. With a heavy sigh, Reno glanced around the room before folding his arms across his chest and leaning back his seat a bit, not too much to make him fall backwards, just enough to balance himself off the ground. “So…I guess I’ll start with the bad news...have you ever heard of the term ‘L’C-“ and he stopped talking when the waitress came over getting their drink order.
This wasn’t particularly a topic Reno wanted to share with the world so he just grinned as she came over and glanced at Ethan. “Aye, same goes for me.” He said with a nod and the girl simply smiled and walked away to go put in their drink order. Back to subject, Reno rubbed his hand on the back of his head as he waited a few minutes, making sure people were out of hearing range for what he was about to say. “Alright, back on topic…it might be a little hard to explain, but…I’ll try my best mk?” Reno said almost trying to figure out what it was he wanted to say in the first place. Explaining foreign things like that to people, wasn’t easy, even Reno didn’t get the whole picture the first time around, it took many days of hard thinking and research to understand what was going on…and it wasn’t a pretty picture.
“Have ya ever heard of a L’Cie?” Reno questioned very bluntly, not really waiting for much of a response, more of a simple yes or no before he would continue on. “Well…they are from this other world called Cocoon, and these L’Cie are given a focus, or task to complete…except its not like its something ya can refuse…its sort of a life or death choice.” That was how he liked to think of it. Life or death. Then again, he still was in a jam trying to decide if he was gonna go forth and take out ShinRa, or just let himself turn into one of those mindless monsters and just die. There was no win. Of course he was still searching for a loophole, some way to get out of this focus unharmed and keeping the focus uncompleted.
Pulling his right sleeve up, Reno glanced down at his brand that was on the backside of his wrist. Not a pretty picture, It was all black and had lines coming out of it, like a tattoo, but not a cool one really. “I was…I was changed into one of those things I was tellin’ ya bout…and my focus…the task I complete, is what I believe to destroy the ShinRa company, now hear me out before ya say anythin’…There’s another option I could take, L’Cie who don’t complete their focus turn into a…monster, a mindless monster…” You know, now thinking about it all, Reno hadn’t even described it this well to Cissnei when he told her he was a L’Cie, it felt sort of good to get it all out, but there still was that problem of choosing what to do. “It may be confusing to you…but I’ll just say this…is scares the hell outta me.” And on perfect timing, two drinks were set in front of the two Turks just as Reno finished speaking. He’d wait for a response from Ethan before going onto the much, MUCH happier subject…marriage, Cissnei and himself, a lovely future…despite the whole focus thing of course.Words: 1067 Muse: Good Tagged: Ethan-Two Guns! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." (OOC: Sorry for the wait, last night I was bummed and earlier today my muse was like dying a painful death but it's back! lol As for the L'cie thing, that's fine with me lol.) Sitting there in the bar, Ethan's mind went back to the whole comedian thing. Reno believed he'd do great as a comedian if it ever came down to that. Honestly, Ethan wasn't sure about that. Well, at least Reno stayed as a Turk. The guy obviously had talent as one. Why else would Tseng choose him as his second in command? Ethan was even surprised considering there had been a number of other candidates for the job. There had to be some sort of talent Tseng saw in him that not many others did. Frankly, Two Guns was happy that Reno had become the second in command.
"I know this is late and all but congrats in becoming the second in command." He sat there and waited for their waitress to head off. Once she had, Ethan looked at Reno patiently. What was the red head thinking about? Was something wrong? Hearing Reno get back on topic, Ethan nodded his head. Anything said on whatever it was would be good enough. Hearing the word 'L'cie' Ethan didn't think he ever heard such a thing. "Nah, I don' think I ever heard of it."
What Reno said next almost lost Ethan. Cocoon? Were they some kind of bug or insect? Puzzled, Two Guns listened as Reno continued on. Apparently, Cocoon was a world but just the name made Ethan think of bugs. L'Cie were apparently given tasks to do but they were more set on a life or death deal. So, why did these beings do that to themselves? It made no sense to him and sounded pretty stupid. Then again, Reno didn't explain what was making the L'Cie and Ethan assumed the L'Cie were beings that came from Cocoon.
He had no idea people like himself or Reno could become one. Right now, it just sounded like this Cocoon world was crazy killing off its own world population in sending people from it to go die or live. Then, Reno uncovered a strange brand on his wrist. It was the most bizarre tattoo Ethan had ever seen. True, Reno had two slash tattoos on his cheekbones but Ethan didn't know he had another tattoo. It didn't even seem like something Reno would wear. Hearing his next words made Ethan tear his eyes off the brand to lock eyes with Reno.
He had been changed into one and he believed his focus was to destroy Shinra. It honestly made Ethan's heart skip a beat in alarm. Reno seemed to sense that and immediately went on to tell Two Guns to let him finish. It wasn't that Ethan considered attacking Reno hearing this, it just shocked him. Reno was made an L'Cie not by his own choice and was given the choice to destroy Shinra or end up as a monster. Knowing a friend was going through this was unsettling. He couldn't see on the outside how Reno was feeling but he must've been feeling uneasy.
"So...So this...Cocoon thing turned you into one of these L'Cie? And if you don't do what they want, you'll become a monster?" he repeated. Hearing that made Ethan lean on his knees as he looked then at the floor. Hearing Reno's words as to how it scared the shit out of him, Ethan believed even he would feel that way. Now, what to say to Reno? It wasn't like he was trying to do him or anyone else harm.
Looking back up finally, Two Guns met Reno's gaze. "I'm not great with words...but...if I were in your shoes, I would be too." Slumping back into his seat, Ethan ran a hand through his bangs, showing his other dull hazel eye underneath it. That eye almost never saw daylight outside the bangs he always had hanging over it. It was a very stressful thing to hear. Thank Minerva the pair of them were at the bar. Ethan knew it had been a good idea to come here, so he can wash it out of his mind.
"That blew me outta the water, man." He was being honest with Reno as he seemed to hold his head then with a hand. If Reno was worried of Two Guns lashing out, he had nothing to worry about. Ethan hadn't gone for his guns and showed no signs of wanting to do that either. He couldn't even if he was ordered to. Reno was family, not an enemy. It brought back memories of how it had been like with Veld. The Turks were family, they couldn't ever kill one of their own like that.
"I'm...sorry man." He didn't know what else to say to Reno. Shaking his head, he sighed. "How many others know of this?" he asked him. Hopefully, if he told anyone, just other Turks. The last thing Reno would want is for the word to reach Rufus's ears. True, Rufus trusted the Turks with his life but Ethan felt he might try and have Reno shot. Unless, of course, everyone else but Two Guns knew. If that were the case then maybe he wouldn't have to worry too much except for the well being of a friend. Reno had said it would turn him into a mindless monster if he didn't destroy Shinra.
"Thank Minerva we're here at a bar."
Second in CommandLooks like today we're clockin' out early Sitting there in the bar, Reno wasn’t really sure what to talk about after all his stuff was said and done…would his two subjects kill the mood? Or…would they just go on either being silent or talk about other random stuff as guys did all the time? Who knew. Reno just hoped Two Guns didn’t take either of the things he was about to say as a shock or anything, though the second part might be highly unlikely seeing as he was about ready to tell the guy that he was getting married, and to Cissnei! Who wouldn’t be surprised by that? It didn’t occur to a lot of people, the idea of Reno and Cissnei even being together, but fate works in mysterious ways, besides, opposites attract right? Boy did that sound cliché. Oh well, it was going to happen and Reno didn’t care whether it effected people, shocked them and whatever, or not.
Reno seemed to let his mind slip away again as Two Gun’s voice brought him back to reality…now…what was it he had said? Oh! Congrats on becoming second in command! Yes, it was an honor to be at such a high rank. Reno grinned and nodded some at Ethan and pulled his already loose collar away from his neck as he didn’t want to start talking like he had the biggest ego in the world, though he probably did. “Thanks dude, sometimes I wonder exactly how I got to get that title ya know? There are many great workers aroun’ here, but it’s an honor and I’ll take it.” He said with his grin getting even wider by the second. Oh the ego, how inflated could it get until it exploded? Well in Reno’s case it was probably just at breaking point…or not.
Back on topic would be nice, but that was Reno for you, so many things to think and talk about with Two Guns, so little time It seemed like, it was almost as if Reno wanted to say everything on every subject all at the same time…just to get it all out. Ethan not hearing about the L’Cie thing would make things a little complex, but Reno would try his best to describe this as possible…though he himself wasn’t an expert or anything, there were plenty of unanswered questions in his head right about now. Rubbing the back of his head, Reno nodded some, explaining this was going to take some work but…hopefully he said the right things and didn’t confuse himself in the process. “Alrighty then…this may be tough.” He mumbled more to himself as he then started explaining the L’Cie thing and his focus.
So…maybe Ethan was picking up on the details. What he said, that was practically it, give or take a few missing details. “Cocoon itself didn’t…their leaders or whatever…I’m not exactly sure on it all, but you pretty much got the idea.” Reno said before sighing heavily before staring down at his drink and not even feeling that great, not enough to go for it at least. He would wait until the knots in his stomach sort of faded before even thinking about downing any alcohol…though that might help when it comes to clearing his head. Reno stared down at the table and just listened to Ethan talk, if he were in his shoes…he probably would be just as freaked out about this as he himself was.
Reno didn’t really want to dwell on this subject much longer, but he simply nodded at the responses Two guns had made and tried to crack a smile. “It’s alright…I’ll figure somethin’ out…I always do.” He said trying to liven up his mood with more ego talk to himself. “Um…just a handful of people. You, Cissnei, Rude…Rod…and Rufus. No one else knows.” Reno said sort of looking off to the side before cutting his eyes back to Two guns. Putting a grin on his face, Reno finally raised his glass to his face before taking a drink out of it and finally starting to loosen up those knots in his stomach. Now was time for the best subject of all, at least to him. “Well enough ‘bout the doom and gloom…how ‘bout something even better than destruction and despair?” Oh Reno, trying to liven the mood, but then again, it was working for him right about now. “So, something else happened, quite recently too…I finally got myself a girl…and…well, let’s just say, I would be honored if you would be one of the groomsmen at my wedding.” He said with a smile stretched across his face as it seemed that topic of L’Cie was dead and gone, so far in the back of his mind that he almost didn’t remember that they had talked about it…now let the fun begin! Ethan: Two Guns"It's said the second you look into my guns' barrels, you're already dead." Ethan wondered how Reno managed to become the second in command. Not that he thought the guy was incapable or anything like that, it just made him wonder seeing as Reno didn't act like Tseng would. What made Tseng choose him? It was interesting, to say the least. In fact, Two Guns was happy Reno got it. If there had been a time where Reno had to lead, Ethan could see it as being a good thing. Sure, Reno was a goofball but that's what made the idea of him being a leader amusing. Reno wouldn't be dull, that was for sure. Ethan knew it would keep up the morale of the others, for sure. Seeing Reno smirk after taking the compliment, Ethan inwardly chuckled. Reno had an ego alright. One that could easily match Rod's or even more so.
"You're welcome!" he replied to the thanks Reno gave. Ethan realized there was a lot of catching up to do. After hearing about the whole L'Cie thing and Cocoon, Ethan was pretty shocked. Reno turning into a monster didn't sound pleasant at all. It only made Two Guns not wary of Reno but sympathetic toward him. Knowing you were going to possibly turn into a monster and attack your friends and family, that was the worst. He looked over at Reno as he stated that it hadn't really been Cocoon itself, the leaders did it.
"I dunno why but I'm not surprised to hear it's cuz of the leaders." It usually was the power hungry leaders behind everything like that. Pity not much could be done about them yet. Ethan would love to stick it to them all and teach them a lesson not to meddle in worlds where the morons don't belong. Hell, even sicking Sephiroth after them sounded amusing. Not that he'd actually do it. Sephiroth was their world's villain even though once upon a time, he had been a hero.
"Yeah, guess you're right. You're Reno, you'll get out of this somehow." He had some faith in Reno in that aspect. Still, Ethan would do what he could to help if Reno needed it. They were Turks, therefore they were like brothers. Two Guns would never turn his back on a fellow Turk who needed his help. Learning that Cissnei, Rude, Rod and Rufus knew Ethan hoped it meant a good thing. His fellow Turks, he knew he needn't worry about. As for the new President, Ethan still had yet to familiarize himself with Rufus Shinra.
It took a moment before Reno spoke up, trying to lighten the mood again. Ethan guessed it was for the best, to put it behind them now and get on to other things. Dwelling on it would only kill their mood. Ethan didn't want to remind Reno of the things he was going through being an L'Cie. Looking over at Reno, whose attitude had become brighter, Two Guns managed to pull himself out of the shock and despair from learning that. Reno seemed like he wasn't at all bothered by the L'Cie thing anymore. He was attempting to move on.
The next subject they were about to discuss, Ethan didn't see this one coming either. Sitting there, Ethan waited as Reno spoke. Hearing that Reno had a girl now made Two Guns' eyebrows raise a bit. Did he even hear him correctly? Ethan took a short pause before realizing that he hadn't been dreaming. Reno really did find himself a girl, it seemed. His reasoning for coming to that conclusion was the simple fact that Reno hadn't burst into laughter after that. This wasn't a joke, it was true.
"You, Red, got yourself a girl?!" he exclaimed in surprise. Reno hadn't been the one Ethan would see getting married. In fact, Ethan had thought Reno had been too much of a womanizer to be thought of as groom material. Yet, here they were and Reno wasn't lying. He was dead serious. "Congrats, man! I'm happy for ya." The day just seemed full of surprises, one depressing one and a more uplifting one. This new one seemed to have covered up the more depressing thoughts. Hearing how Reno would want him to be one of his groomsmen.
"Me? Are you sure?!" he exclaimed, looking surprised. Well, you couldn't blame Ethan for finding that request surprising. Two Guns wasn't exactly great when it came to formal occasions. Still, that didn't mean he wouldn't be honored. He'll just have to keep his own mouth in check during that time. Ethan still struggled with protocol and how one should act in such situations. "Uh, s-sure man. That'd be awesome!" he said, recovering from the surprise. "It'd be an honor, Red."
