Chasing Shadows (Night)

Night was still battling her own internal struggles when it happened. She had to shield her eyes because suddenly the room was filled with bright light. When she managed to look up, to see what was going on she saw something so strange that should couldn't believe could be happening. Wasn't being kissed by a dragon enough for one night?

She saw SaS, he was his shadow as normal but then just hovering behind him was a beautiful light. It was in the shape of a woman and Night thought that it must be the third soul trapped in this man's body. Night by this point was too exhausted to even consider running, or screaming or even simply standing. The ordeals from tonight were starting to get to her and she just sunk down a little more and hung her head; waiting to see what would happen next.

His hand gently touched her own and Night almost flinched when the words that left the man's body were that of a woman. It was a soothing voice though and I think that's what kept Night there and not trying to push her away. She really didn't understand any of what was going on but this voice, this woman inside him seemed to want to explain it to her. So taking a deep breath, more so to steady herself, she nodded and awaited her explanation.

"My brother...SaS...he can't control the Dragon. It was placed inside him as an infant and has terrorized him his whole life, me being in his body doesn't help him that much either. He loses control especially when he has feelings of attachment or anger or sometimes he just loses control without warning. And around you he has a harder time controlling the dragon mostly because both him and that dragon have an interest in you."

Night was finding this all so much to take in. Why would someone even think of putting a creature like that into a child. Night tried to comprehend what she was telling her, this talk about losing control of himself because of emotions but then also because it might just happen too? To top it all off, the fact that she herself is around means that he struggles to control himself. Night shook her head, all she did was save his life...and now suddenly his beings had a crush on her?

"I am the third soul in this body and I am the maiden of light. I protect the boy the best I can but sadly the dragon is much stronger than I. So I can only come out when the dragon is at ease or held back. But I digress...I am here to apologize to you on behalf of those idiots...a girls first kiss is a serious thing and I will have SaS apologize as well. But don't think TOO badly of him...he's just VERY stupid A LOT."

It was just so much to take in all at once but when this maiden spoke of Nights first kiss, Night looked up. She tore her hand from his, or was it hers and then both her hands covered her lips. Her face was blushing too. How did she even know it was her first kiss? Night's head was spinning now from everything that was happening to her.

"And to clarify...the reason he didn't mind it was because he may or may not have a crush on you. I'm still not to sure on how he thinks sometimes. But don't worry...I'm gonna punish him and he WILL apologize." She said with an unamused expression before grumbling, "That idiot can't just tell a girl he likes her...I swear."

Punish? But SaS didn't take it, wasn't it the dragon? When Night thought about the Dragon saying sorry to her she almost scoffed. Though these thoughts did give her a chance to regain her voice. “There...There's no need for that...” her voice was small and her world was beginning to spin a little. It was now all taking its toll on her. The Dragon, the kiss then using her butterfly to subdue the Dragon...what was that about? And this guy, he liked her? Why, she couldn't understand why. “I'm sorry...I can't seem... Night fainted into SaS arms for the second time tonight, but this time it was simply from the overload of emotions and the release of the power that surged through her; and a little because of this man.
