Ethan (Two Guns)
"Keep mouthing me off and I‘m gonna put a bullet through your head."
Custom Title: `/Ex-Mobster\`
Age: Looks to be somewhere from his early twenties to mid twenties. I’m gonna go with 24.
Gender: Male
Family: Unknown
Race: Human
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Home World: Gaia
Alignment: Turks & ShinRa
Job: Turk
Items: A cell phone so that the other Turks can contact him or Rufus ShinRa.
Accessories: Two Guns wears a gold earring on his right ear that has no significance other than décor.
Appearance In appearance, Two guns doesn’t look to be all that old. For an ex-bodyguard of Don Corneo’s, he sure doesn’t look the sort considering how much better care in appearance he has. No scarring or tattoos indicates his past except for the gold earring he wears on his right ear.
His right side of his face is covered in jagged, shaggy and limp fringes that run down to just past his jaw. His eyes appear to be a dull, hazel gray. On the sides of his head, Two Guns has his hair slicked back rather tightly leaving four obvious partings on his head. One single strand of hair, he lets dangle loose on his left side of his head. For the most part, his hair is slicked back except for the fringes he leaves up front. It reaches half way down his neck from behind and despite the fact he slicked it back mostly, the edges are as unkempt as the bangs.
Like the other Turks, Two guns wears a black suit. However, he wears it styled a bit differently from the other males of the bunch. Where, like Reno, he wears the undershirt unbuttoned to mid-chest level, the undershirt is tucked in. He holds the professional look rather well with a slight hint of ruggedness but yet still looking sharp.
Height wise, he’s five feet and nine inches tall. Weight wise, probably no more than around 135 pounds. He’s slim but toned though not a bodybuilder like martial arts male.
Personality:
As an ex bodyguard of Don Corneo’s, Two Guns is pretty careful with his surroundings. He had to be in order to ensure his former boss’s safety. When out on a mission, he’s always on the look out for suspicious characters trying to mess with him or his fellow Turks and always quick to act. He always makes sure to carry out his assignments with outstanding efficiency regardless of the task. His ability to do this labels him as a level headed and cool professional. He’s so good, attacking precisely and swiftly with his two guns that it’s said by the time someone turns around and looks into his gun’s noses, the target’s dead before they knew it.
Protocol is something he often struggles with. Etiquette is not always his best subject for when mouthed off, he’s likely to give it right back uncaring how colorful his language might get. He also struggles in politics, never really having cared to pay it much attention and preferring to just be sent out to do the dirty work rather than sit around and discuss what actions to take. He’s not stupid, just doesn’t have an interest for politics. It’s because of his distaste for petty politics that Two Guns left behind his old ways for the way of the Turk. When it comes to custom, Two Guns is also not the best for he only knows the hard life of the slums and is still getting used to the life of a Turk.
Despite his faults, Two Guns does his best to back up an ally when they need it. With a cold and harsh demeanor, Two Guns does what he can to help an ally. He’s definitely not the type you want interrogating you. He despises people using dirty means to gain the upper hand, another major reason why he had left Don Corneo and his former allies behind. Being with the Turks, he knows he doesn’t have to constantly look over his shoulder for any of his former co-workers since leaving like he did would’ve most likely angered the Don.
Outside of business, Two Guns is able to relax more and even the type to slouch in a couch with his feet propped upon a table carelessly. Where he’s not the social butterfly of a group, he’s not the quietest of the bunch either. He’s able to joke from time to time with his fellow Turk but during a job, he’s serious.
History:
Ethan was born down in the slums of Midgar. Life wasn’t friendly to those trying to survive in the city’s underbelly. It was throughout his childhood that Ethan was forced to learn the way of how things worked in the slums. Only the strongest survived in a world where most people were cutthroat. Most children were forced to join gangs or end up bullied most of their lives. It was no surprise that Ethan chose to join a gang. Where at first he hadn’t been the best at what he did, he soon grew to learn the ins and outs of how to survive a life filled with crime and was soon able to hold his own.
Due to how very real danger was in the slums, it was not surprising that Ethan would discover something as dangerous as a hand gun on the ground one day. Who left it behind, he didn’t know but was quick to take the weapon with him. Having seen many things in his life growing up in the slums, Ethan knew at that age that without a weapon then he would surely end up dead. Ethan knew nothing other than violence and survival. It was so hard wired into him that killing somebody for a loaf of bread wasn’t as horrible as it would seem to those who lived lives of luxury.
Oddly enough, because he used it so much, Ethan’s shooting skills were quite remarkable. It were as if he had a natural talent for it. He enjoyed how quickly he could get things settled with just pulling a gun out and making his foes back off in a strife. He even liked how quickly it ended one’s life so Ethan could be done and over with it and leave. It wasn’t that he enjoyed killing, it just made it easier to get rid of his enemies rather than waste time and energy on an opponent when trying to bludgeon them when defending one’s self.
It was because of how much he liked his previous hand gun that Ethan considered trying to get himself a second one. After all, why waste time? If he had double the guns, double the ease of things getting done and all the much faster. At age fourteen, he had managed to purchase himself another one similar to his other gun. It hadn’t been easy at first getting the hang of using two guns but it didn’t take him long to learn how to either. Having been somewhat ambidextrous in the past, even when writing, it wasn’t hard for Ethan to learn. His issue though was learning accuracy. Where he had a natural talent for shooting, he was still clumsy when it came down to truly aiming something.
It had been an old friend of his that taught him how to shoot accurately. With accuracy, soon came experience. Having seen how skilled Ethan was, Don Corneo hired him to be one of his personal bodyguards.
It wasn’t at all a pleasant time for Ethan having to serve under Don Corneo. Where he gained a lot of respect and a name for himself, the Don was a cruel, twisted man. The Don was always quick to stab someone in the back if he suspected them of anything or gain the upper hand in a confrontation by using dirty methods. Don Corneo was also quite cowardly, always quick to sick Ethan and others at his foes rather than fighting them, himself. On top of it all, it was the cruel way the Don exploited women that had finally made Ethan decide that he had enough. Where Ethan wasn’t an angel, he didn’t like having to see day in and day out as women were forced to come before the Don. All because the Don kept claiming that he was in the market for a bride. Which, of course, he never did choose and merely used it as a thing to force women to come before him. Those the Don didn’t choose often got left with Ethan’s fellow mobsters. Usually having to always be by Don Corneo’s side to protect him, Ethan couldn’t do much to help the unfortunate ladies escape.
Sick and tired of it all, Ethan eventually left despite knowing he might soon have to live a life of constantly looking over his shoulder for any of his former gangsters. Hope came to him then in the form of a job offer. An offer to become a Turk and serve ShinRa Electric Power Company. Knowing of the Turks, for he had encountered a few in his time and not to mention how often they were talked about, Ethan saw this as a means of protection as well as a means of getting out of the life he was tired of. It was from then on that Ethan’s life as a Turk had begun.
During his training and missions, Ethan had finally earned the nickname he’s famously known for: “Two Guns.” Those who survived encounters with him often told tales that by the time someone were to gaze into the nose of his guns, they were already dead. It wasn’t entirely farfetched either. Having spent his years since fourteen wielding two hand guns and working in a field where he had to use them effectively, Ethan had become rather dangerous and skilled.
Two Guns took part in the battle between AVALANCHE and ShinRa during the time just after Wutai fell to ShinRa. Where his role wasn’t exactly major, he did help his fellow Turks put a stop to the more violent AVALANCHE members, participated in Nanaki’s capture, as well as defeat Fuhito and save the world, also finding and defeating the Planet’s first ever known weapon: Jade Weapon.
Where he hadn’t been directly involved in the whole Meteor incident or the incident with Advent Children, Two Guns had been working behind the scenes with his other Turks. Now, he’s doing as he usually does, carrying out his missions with chilling accuracy. When it comes to the L’cie and Fal’cie, if they confront ShinRa or try to interfere with the Planet, you can guarantee that Ethan would be there to help stop them.
Abilities:
1. Ambidextrous: Ethan has the ability to use to hand guns at once and in different directions with great accuracy. He can even write with either hand if he has to. If anything, this is a natural and passive ability.
2. Marksman: Two Guns is known for his excellent marksmanship using two hand guns in a fight. Where he is fast, he is also quite accurate. It doesn’t mean that enemies can’t dodge/block/avoid his gunshots, it’s just more difficult to do so.
3. Say Hello to my little Friends: With this move, usually when there are far too many enemies to handle, Ethan will rush into their midst and open fire in a circle around him at the surrounding enemies. He only turns in a full circle once before being forced to retreat. Can only do this three times in a battle and has a cool down of three posts in between each use.
4. BANG: Where Two Guns finds himself at gunpoint with his arms raised and requested to drop his weapon, he will do so but just as it reaches hip level, Ethan will drop to the ground, catch the guns in mid-air and shoot at his foe once with each gun. Only happens when he’s at gunpoint or asked to drop his weapons so this is rare.
5. Heavy Aerobics: Even though Two Guns is not initially a hand to hand fighter, he can actually perform basic martial arts as well as flips and somersaults to rolling. All this is really saying is he’s more flexible than he appears to be and isn’t useless without his guns but would prefer if he still had them on him.
Summons: None
Magic: Ice, can caste small melon sized spiked ice shards at his enemies. Can only caste one at a time. All it does is hurt when hit, no freezing capabilities.
Strengths: Is very agile with his two guns, can expertly wield two guns at once.
Weaknesses: Proper etiquette and custom with how things are done. Has one side of his face covered in long bangs, making his right side more easy for attacks. Shoots first and asks questions later. Better with guns than physical fighting. His friends.
Weapon Two black hand guns of the same make and model.
Crushes: Unknown, he doesn’t talk about it or himself much and doesn’t give any indication of who he’s interested in if he is.
