Princess at Heart
”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.”
Repa remained quiet for a few moments. The silence was surprisingly soothing as she started to relax a bit. Now days like this called for a nap! That would be her next goal for the day, make her way home and take a long nap. Sitting on the curb, a small smile crossed her face as she thought of the beauty of a nap, the lovely dreams she could have to escape the horrors of reality…at least her reality was a horror movie. It was a big change for her. She had grown up the life of luxury, not really a care in the world, even with a world to run in the future, Repa never really worried about anything, and now look at her. Fighting for her life, surviving on her own, and tons of stress on her shoulders…it was a wonder she didn’t go insane or anything by now. Perhaps later on in life it would all catch up with her.
Repa chuckled a little as that famous question why? came up once again. She had probably gotten that question so much in the past few weeks more than she ever had before. “Well long story short, I was helping a friend away from them…apparently he’s some sort of threat against this world or something, and they want to annihilate him. I helped my friend out of PSICOM’s grasp a few times…they just don’t like me I guess.” She said, her smile widening as the thought of PSICOM simply not liking Repa for taking all their ‘fun’ away, it was just silly, it was a better description than saying that she wiped out large sums of their army and helped a fugitive escape his death multiple times. No…her response was a lot better than that lovely thought.
“You should be okay…this was one encounter, I’ve faced PSICOM many times.” Repa said with a small nod, almost as if she were counting how many times they had attacked her…too many to count actually. One little offense wasn’t going to target Karashi as a fugitive or a threat, especially when it was mostly out of self defense, and besides, all the soldiers here were taken care of, who was going to rat her out? Repa? Surely not. Repa let her eyes shift over to Karashi as she said she had a favor to ask. Repa almost dreaded the thought of having to give up her precious nap time to do more work…she was just exhausted, but Karashi’s request caught her a bit off guard. Repa wasn’t a coach or anything, it wasn’t something you could really teach, especially when you yourself didn’t know how it all worked out. “I’m not sure I’m the best person to ask that…” she said standing up to her feet and looking off the other way almost trying to avoid the question, not that she didn’t want to help or anything, it was just…really complex to her.
