----- Now that the place was becoming colder and darker (and, as a result, slightly more dangerous), there was an ever greater chance that the group would be stuck here until the morning. If someone came to save them. But, as Ayako had demonstrated (and Jamaila had warned against), phones were no good. In here, at least. So, Ashibo couldn't call one of his best PSICOM buddies.
As a slightly reserved guy, he wasn't much for socializing and making friends at his workplace, but Fema was a sort of ... 'special' case. The guy was a nice opposite to Ashibo - the two balanced each other out nicely. Although, they were both just as loyal to PSICOM as they were to each other. Which made Fema that much more unique, in Ashibo's eyes. He would never refer to anyone else in PSICOM as such.
With the others closing their eyes and making themselves a little more comfortable, Ashibo followed suit. Whatever awaited them tomorrow, he would have to face then. His previously dark thoughts were retreating into the back of his mind. There was no need to think of the current situation anymore. At least, not yet.
- EARLY MORNING -
He was awoken by helicopter blades. At first, he believed he was still dreaming. After all, what would a helicopter be doing in-?
His eyebrows pressed together, he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he was greeted with was scenery that wasn't from home.
And a helicopter.
Raising himself up, he stretched before strolling towards the figure now exiting the helicopter. Ashibo recognized the guy ...
It was Fema!
Surprise covering his face for a brief minute, Ashibo composed himself enough to ask, "Fema! How did you where to find m- us?!"
Fema raised a hand in greeting. "Hey, Ashibo! Well, fancy meeting you here!"
Ashibo and Fema both began to walk towards each other and stopped when they were close enough to speak without having to shout. The jade-eyed warrior looked back at the rest of the group, who were still asleep, before turning back to Fema. "So ... you were stationed here?"
Fema nodded. "Yeah. I was actually going to let you know, but ... I couldn't get through to you."
Ashibo informed the man of why that was. "Well, apparently, technology isn't too good around these parts of Pulse."
Fema nodded in comprehension. "Ahh, I see ... Well, it's pretty lucky that I met you here. How did you arrive here?"
Ashibo frowned, doubtful that Fema would be able to explain this anomaly. "... By a portal of sorts. It took me here. But, not only myself. Those three currently resting back there were also transported here the same way." He jerked his head to the side, indicating the others, who he was growing increasingly fond of.
Fema frowned as well. "A portal? Hmm ... well, that's strange ... But, um, since you're not stationed here right now, how about you let the guys in the 'copter know you want to go back? He should be leaving for Eden shortly. You and your friends can go with him."
Ashibo's eyebrows rose slightly. "Well, that sounds like a plan. Thank you, Fema." Then, noticing the lack of back-up, asked, "But, how will you be able to get back?"
Fema grinned a little. "Ahh, don't worry about me and the guys, Ashibo. We'll be fine. More helicopters and soldiers will be arriving shortly."
Ashibo smiled and nodded. "I'm glad you found us, Fema. You be careful here. Some of the fiends are much worse than we thought."
Fema positioned his arm in a type of salute. "Don't worry about it, Ash. Or about us. We'll be fine. And may you and your friends have a safe journey home."
With another nod, this time of thanks, Ashibo then turned back and walked towards the trio still sleeping. Rousing them up, he then gestured to the helicopter that was waiting for them. "Good news. We've got a way to go back to Cocoon. That PSICOM helicopter will be taking us to Eden. So, let's board." And, on that note, he led the way inside, his hope revived.

----- It was the morning now, but Shichiro didn't want to wake up just yet.
He had been having a nice dream. Something related to home and fighting and ... everything in between. The thing about sleep was that it just made you forget about reality - dreams and a vague sort of hope was what he clung to. The only time he was used to showing off his determination was when something benefitted him. He hated taking orders from weaklings and guys who didn't know how to lift a weapon. After all, he would usually ponder to himself, what sort of a man was that?
He heard voices - his mind was still so far away so as to decipher just whose voices they were - but he was okay here, in his mind. Nothing to conquer him here. He tended to not delve too much into what Mazzy boy and the others were doing, but simply dreamed on ...
What felt like a couple of minutes later, he was being shook awake by someone. Mumbling incoherently, he groaned before yawning and opening his eyes.
'Damn, I thought it was just a dream ...' [/i] Sure enough, he was still here. In Pulse or whatever. As he regarded the person beside him and the addition to the 'party', his expression slowly transformed into a grin. Well, okay, so he wasn't going home, not yet. But wasn't Eden where Jamaila lived? Hell, she'd be able to show them around and maybe give them a place to stay. Or something. Turning to her, his grin increased in size. "So, looks like you're going home, huh? Give us a good tour, alright?" With Ashibo being the first to board the helicopter, Shichiro followed him in, whilst regarding the sight of the PSICOM soldiers. One of them smiled at him and Shichiro grinned in response. His dream had started a little something like this.[/blockquote]

Ayako was glad that someone had woken her up - her nightmare had just been getting worse and worse the longer she slept and, despite that, she hadn't been able to muster the power to just wake up from it.
Maybe she felt responsible, but that didn't make Ayako feel any better as she had watched over the worst moments of her life. It was all in the past now, but it still crept up on her in her thoughts at night.
Groggily opening her eyes, Ayako stretched and rose from her previous position. Vaguely taking note of what Ashibo was saying, she turned to observe the helicopter resting a couple of feet away, waiting for the group to board.
'So, looks like you're going home, huh? Give us a good tour, alright?'
[/i] And then it clicked. Oh, right, Eden... Jamaila's home and Ashibo's - regular - place of work. At least the two would be able to help her and Shichiro become accustomed to life on Cocoon. Of course, it wasn't home, but it was close enough... And, incidentally, a tour sounded good. She had also been promised a tour of Cocoon by someone else. Which caused Ayako to ponder the chances of her meeting people from Cocoon. Two of them, she had met in this world. And the other, she had met in her home world - but in Balamb rather than in her hometown of Esthar. She was planning to think about that some more; would it have something to do with Fal'Cie and L'Cie - mostly - being based in the two rival worlds of Cocoon and Pulse...? But, now, that thought was driven out of her mind. Instead, she made her way towards the helicopter, making sure to curtly nod at the man who had been - partially - responsible for the group's escape to freedom. She could consider him a friend, seeing as Ashibo was something of a friend now, too. After all, wasn't that how trust and honor built up...? And now that she was going to a(nother) world unfamiliar to her, she had to be grateful for the fact that Ashibo and Jamaila were with her and Shichiro - at least they'd be able to prevent the duo from getting lost.[/font][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Had someone told her that - today - she was going back home to Eden, Jamaila probably wouldn't have believed them.
Okay, the group had been convinced (or, rather, had been trying to convince her) that they were going to get out of here as soon as possible. But she had doubted that they - themselves - had honestly believed that they could get out of here. This place was like a maze - easy to get into, but difficult to get out of. There was no obvious way to leave - no brightly-lit exit around...
It had taken her a while to convince herself that there was no point in giving up. What would that accomplish...?
Jamaila's eyes were still shut, but her ears were open - she could hear voices in the distance. But it didn't concern her, so she didn't pay it much mind.
What did concern her was the sudden shaking. Someone was obviously a little impatient in waiting for her to gracefully get up herself. So, saving a glare which she was going to use on them once she found out who it was, Jamaila yawned before stretching and stood up, brushing herself off invisible dirt marks. When she discovered that Ashibo had been the one responsible for oh-so-carelessly waking her up, Jamaila pouted childishly. "Hey, you know it's not polite to wake a woman up like that!" She had been about to say some more, when his words stopped her from going on a mindless ramble and caused her frown to disappear; her expression was now one of mild disbelief. "Huh...?"
Sure enough, once her mind was working properly, Jamaila noticed the helicopters of PSICOM park nearby. It had taken her a while to absorb this information, though; she was half tempted to jump up in glee. She was really going home?! Well, that fact alone made her thank the Gods above as well as the guys who had bought the helicopter here in the first place. Although, she couldn't scream excitedly now; the rest of the group were already making their way towards the helicopter. And, incidentally, it wouldn't do for her to embarrass herself here.
So, following the trio, Jamaila smiled-slash-grinned at the man who was waiting there. With a small salute, she nodded professionally at him. "Thanks so much for coming here. You've saved us all from being stuck here forever." Her tone of voice then went from grateful to slightly more serious. "But, be careful here. There are a lot of fiends around these parts, who don't seem to be easy targets."
The guy nodded back at her. "Aah, don't worry about it. I'm just glad we got to you guys in time. Oh, and don't sweat about the fiends - we've got a lot of manpower to back us up. I'm sure everything will be fine."
Seeing as he was optimistic enough, Jamaila decided to take her leave. Waving goodbye to him, Jamaila then jogged towards the helicopter; her excitement and pure joy causing her to think of nothing but home.
'Well, isn't this a warm welcome...?'
