Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." The day had goon by slowly for the staff at Dr. Striker's place. He had no work and was tired from a long day. His father was the one who did everything that boring ride of light and dark. He just filed papers and signed in and checked out patients all day. His eyes showed dark rings and even the scar side was darker. He looked to the photo on his desk and picked it up. Clearing the dusk to show him and his childhood friend. H
e sighed and remembered the day of her death and slammed his head on the desk with a grunt. He left his head on the desk like that for five minutes before he heard a book slam on the desk and looked up. His journal had been moved. He picked it up and stuffed it in his desk and locked it away. He then looked ahead and his father was in his face, "You know you are being lazy Niel." "Father I have been working all day I need a break!" "Does not matter. Keep working."
His father left him and Lar stood up acting like a small child as he mocked his father. He put on his dark glasses and left the room, turned the light out, and locked it. He then went to the main door and sighed, it was past dark. He went outside and looked around. His good eye was sore from that pound he gave his face. Maybe something could ease his eagerness to do something. Or give him grief.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Gaia…a place of complete havoc right now. At least that was how Repa liked to put it. Things had been so chaotic lately it was really starting to bother her. Not only was she a walking target these days, but she was really getting the crap kicked out of her, and not just because of fights. Her well being and health was diminishing rapidly. Lack of sleep, lack of food, and not to mention the real things like getting shot at! Those were the things really bringing her down, and now she was dead tired all the time, so testy and very very unable to handle things the way she once did. She used to be happy, energized and what not, but it all seemed to be slipping away from her since she came to this world and decided to stay to help her friend Cloud through this L’Cie business.
Tonight was the same routine, go out to try and relax, take in the fresh air, maybe actually get something to eat, but no. PSICOM had to ruin that each and every day, it was starting to get REALLY old REALLY fast. So here we go again! Repa ran down the block, huffing and puffing for air as she was starting to feel her legs get sore, of course these past few weeks of constantly running, she got way more active and could handle more physically. But this was just insane! As she ran down block a smirky smile stretched across her face as she turned around and shot a few fires from her gunblade at the soldiers, and they just shot them right back at her. "Get off my freaking back!" She tried to maneuver around the bullets but sometimes it just didn’t work out that way.
While coming down the street Repa felt that this game of cat and mouse was going to come to a close fairly soon as she then turned back and started running at the soldiers, not shooting them per-say but using her gunblade in a different way. She hit them with it, knocking them out and down so they wouldn’t bother her anymore. Killing people wasn’t exactly her style, so this would work for now. As she kicked and punched and anything else that would be good for defense, the soldiers fell. Thank goodness this was a small group otherwise she might have a tough time. When things were finally quieting down one last shot was fired from the last guy she had elbowed to the face as he was falling. Repa felt the lead pierce through her leg right below her knee and she instantly lifted her leg to get off of it. She hopped her way out of the cluster of PSICOM and dropped her gunblade before she fell back on her bum to sit. “Lovely…” she grumbled to herself.Words: 572 Muse: Meh. Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." The side walk was dark gray as the night had set in making it tough for him to see where he was going. His glasses were then stuffed in his coat and he took it off to sling it over his shoulder. His red shirt hung loose around his body His hair covered his right eye as he walked, he wished he could see however the scar was a reminder of his friend and the last thing they did together. He'd keep it for the rest of his life. His hair moved left and right as he walked, when he was younger he used to put his hair in a pony tail and left some of his bangs hand down. Now he let it hang. He halted as he heard the cracking of guns and looked around. The strange noise he had heard before when he learned how to use his pistol but one of the guns was different like a metallic scrape. Lartenick's eyes opened more as he saw the dim glow from gunpowder.
They were headed this way. He ducked into the alley was as they came. He watched through his good eye and saw a new weapon. It was a sword yet it was a gun. It intrigued him greatly. He watched the soldiers run by and felt that this was not a natural thing for them to do this. He stepped out and reached in his coat pocket for his pistol and walked behind them slowly and tried not to be seen. Some of the shots from the other men seemed to connect with the one they chased and he winced even though it was unsure. He then aimed at one but he was knocked down. Lar then lowered it and walked to the all and kicked a couple each unmoving. He hid the gun and set the coat on the ground as he crouched and examined them. His hand on the face of one and he closed his eye.
Nothing was wrong with the man nor the others. Just a bunch of bruises, "Unworthy of my help scum." he muttered and took up his coat. He then stood and looked to a figure sitting on their posterior. He walked, jumped, and stumbled over the bodies of the unconscious and was by her after standing upright. His hand pushed the left side of hair from his face and behind his ear as he then titled his head, "Why were you chased stranger?" he asked and then stuffed the pistol inside his coat again with his free hand. His brown hair looked black in the darkness. He then looked to the men behind him and wondered where they came from. It was strange for soldiers to be there.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa was usually very quick to get away from PSICOM but this was just getting old. It had been going on for weeks now, it wore her out and with this whole lack-of-sleep thing going on, she just didn’t run as fast tonight. Oh well, it was fairly easy to take care of it. Now sitting on the ground Repa let out a giant sigh of relief, that was the last of them for now right? Hopefully. She sat down on the ground and pulled her jean leg up to shake her head at the wound in her leg. She had been hit, shot, punched, kicked, scratched, scarred and everything else so much lately, but she was glad to be able to heal herself, it was a gift she was granted with when she was born…no one knew how but it was just there and it sure came in handy. So as she sighed and pulled her jeans back down to cover her wound she just sat there for a few moments catching her breath before noticing another person on the scene, and it sure wasn’t PSICOM.
Of course being questioned for the chase…Repa understood people’s curiosity with the PSICOM soldiers around here…they weren’t even from this world! Which made things even more strange! And it also sparked more interest in them…though Repa was well fed up with the whole soldier thing around here. They could pack up their overpriced toys and get the hell out ANYTIME. As the question had remained unanswered, Repa sighed a bit before hopping up to her feet once again, not really worrying about her injury, it didn’t really bother her all that much by now so she would take care of it later. She rubbed the back of her head and let her eyes wander. “Where do I start?” she started off wondering if she were to just be very brief about this…or actually explain the whole mess. Probably just be brief…she didn’t want to bore anyone else with her problems right now…which were actually Cloud’s problems.
“Well…A friend of mine isn’t exactly their favorite person. They’ve been going after him trying to harm him and what not. There were a few times I jumped in to save my friend and well they’ve targeted me as a threat.” Repa said with a shrug leaving it at that, there was no reason to get into detail. It wasn’t really anyone else’s business, so long as other people knew Repa wasn’t the bad guy in this situation, she was happy. “Please don’t think badly of me though…” she said looking at the knocked out soldiers everywhere…at least the few that had actually come after her. “Though I guess that’s your own choice.” She said with a shrug wondering why she was babbling right now, she better shut up before she looked stupid. And so she did.Words: 593 Muse: Meh. Notes: None

Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." "The Virus" walked away from the woman and went to an unconscious soldier. His shoes touching the head of the fallen man. His head tilted down and he looked to the man and stepped back kneeling down. His hand on one knee he bent over as his hair fell in front of his face. His other hand went to the man's face and he turned it a little to see what it the man looked like. It was different to see an unknown soldier. He was entirely used to the OLD types. The Shin-Ra SOLDIERs, "First the dammed SOLDIER operatives and now an entire new breed invades..." He then stood and looked at her just as she began to speak. Inside his soul he could tell she was about to do a brief version. He didn't care to be honest, it was just something he needed to know at the moment. She explained that a friend of hers was being hunted and he shook his head. But at the fact she was a target he kind of smirked. At one time he was a target. In a metaphorical way.
Lartenick then walked to her and crossed his arms, "I am not one to judge quickly. Even though I need it for my job - that's another matter." He then let his gaze fall on the men who lay in odd positions everywhere on the pavement. He grinned and then looked to the sky. His hair fell back and showed the scar on his eye as his memory took him back to when things were easy and understandable -for him-. His undamaged eye was closed as he had his face to the sky and as he spoke, "They are not from here. I hate trespassers. Don't not shun a man for asking but I wanna help rid them. Maybe I can find out more about myself and why I lived - You think I can aid you and help? This is my home and I want to protect it. Even if I can't fight well. I can become a virus in order to save my friends and others like me."
What he said was not of sense but he tried to phrase it. He didn't recognize any of the men and at that it displeased him. He wanted them gone. And in tow he was going to become a Virus again one of eradication if possible. Only harm would be to the evil. He was the anti to the normal.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa stood where she was and just tried to catch her breath for a few moments. Rest was hard to come by with her these days, so she took advantage of every free moment she had to rest as much as possible before running off and getting attacked again. She kept silent after she said her brief piece and just watched as this guy looked around at the soldiers, speaking of not judging before looking at the sky. Repa’s eyes shifted downward at the ground as she sighed heavily, mostly to catch her breath and some to just…try and let go of all that building stress she was carrying, though no simple sigh would help her there. Glancing up a bit, she caught a glimpse of a scar on this man’s eye. She looked back down at the pavement, not wanting to get caught looking or anything, besides, if he wasn’t going to judge her, then she should do the same.
As she stood quietly, she folded her arms across her chest and closed her eyes. Trespassers, well that was one way to put it. She wasn’t going to mention that she was a so called ‘trespasser’ herself, why add more to her story? Not that it probably mattered at all, she’d just roll with whatever was said, play it off as if she were from Gaia, after all, she had been staying here for months now, it wasn’t like she was foreign to the world anymore, she knew her way around fairly well in fact. Repa’s eyes flickered over to the guy as he said he wanted to rid of PSICOM. Did he have any idea what these Cocoon soldiers could do? They had bioweapons and soldiers like no other! They were limitless almost! Repa would take down a group and sure enough more Soldiers would march her way.
Repa thought about what he said, wanting to help. Extra aid to her fight against PSICOM would be nice, but she’d already risked so many people against the soldiers, was she really going to drag more in to her problems? She just couldn’t pass up on help, besides…this virus thing, it interested her. Maybe the fighting wouldn’t be great, but something told her, that there was more to him than she thought. With a few moments of silence Repa nodded her head a bit before a small smile curled at the end of her lips. “I can use all the help I can get. It’s not like I enjoy going around getting shot at every day.” She said with a small shrug before taking a step towards the man, finally pulling out her manners she stuck her gloved hand out and smiled a bit more. “Name’s Repa by the way….Repa Raines.”Words: 563 Muse: Good Tagged: Dr. L. Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." As he looked to the sky he wished he friend was here. Or atleast alive to help. She had always helped him. But since the attack of that monster he gave up on learning how to deal with things like that. Till he learned how to fire rounds that is. If he hadn't moved away he would have lost half of his face, he then noticed the sword she carried and examined it, truely she was not from there. However she was an ally now so it didn't matter.
The only "tresspassers" he was in argument with were people who tried to destroy his home world for their own gain. Sooner or later he'd learn a new weapon style. Till then he was a "dormant virus". He then looked to Repa as her name was said and smiled, "Well Repa, I am Lartenick N. Striker. Or Neil. I work close by so the noise brought me here." he then went to her and began to fold his white coat up into a tight ball.
His eye with the scar twitched as he blinked, he held out his hand and clasped it before giving a gentle shake and let go. He had a delayed reaction to what she said earlier and snickered, "I wouldn't like it much myself. But in my line of work I see enough of it and know how much it hurts. Since I am a Med I see it all and take all. Well enough that I can stand that is." he said with a sigh and looked to the sky once again. Trying to remember what gave him the scar years ago.[/i]

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Well things were going to have to settle down, Repa didn’t know how much more of this complete chaos she could take…not to mention one of these days a bullet would probably hit her in the head or something rather than just in the leg or arm…not that that was any better or anything. With a heavy sigh Repa stood there and folded her arms across her chest as her eyes glanced upward at the sky. She prayed every night for a miracle, to get her out of this mess. Darn her rightful instincts to helping people, now look at her, she was a freaking walking target PSICOM was just dying to shoot at….literally. Her eyes shifted downward now towards the ground as she started thinking about throwing in the towel and just going home, like home home, back to her own world to get away from the fighting…not that it wasn’t any less dangerous than Gaia right now.
When introductions were said and done, Repa simply nodded, acknowledging the man’s name. “Nice to meet you Neil.” She said quietly as she really did ponder the thought of just going home, it was the easiest way out, but then again…what good came out of taking the easy route? Guess it was time to take the path less traveled by…or just suck it up and fight for your life whenever you needed to. That was usually the way Repa looked at things, life today it was either kill or be killed. “Heh, well, at least you can handle it…I don’t know how long my conscience can hold off on me before I go completely insane from all this.” She said shrugging he shoulders a bit, knowing it was probably a joke or something with what she just said, but then again…it was probably a risk. So much death, so much despair, that can really break someone down…and Repa wasn’t far from the breaking point.
Repa looked over at Neil and watched as he looked at the sky. Something seemed to be on the guy’s mind and Repa just tilted her head a bit and rocked on her heals some. Should she ask? Or leave well enough alone? Besides, they had just met, it wasn’t her business to ask any sort of questions really. But that was Repa for you! Curious and always wanting to help. “Are you okay?” she asked as her head was tilted to the side a bit, like a puppy dog would do as she blinked a bit. Repa was funny that way, on the battlefield she could be merciless, but without a life to defend, without anything going on, she could be the sweetest most caring person around. That was just how she was, brought up with the best manners and always treating everyone with respect, that contributed to her cheery outlook on life…well sometimes.Words: 588 Muse: Meh, not super. Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." Neil never could understand the pain he had suffered when he sat in the clinic on the very bed his friend died in. He looked to Reepa with a sad smile, "To be truthful I miss my friend Leaf. Before I became a doctor she was like my conscience. I used to hate fighting, that was when I lost my eye. I don't want another innocent dyeing like her. That is my motive now by helping you."
He then pulled at the necklace and lifted it over his head. He held it up to the light and let the dim light shine off of it. He let off a more happier smile as he remembered the good times he had before the attack.
He looked to his newly found ally and then put the necklace back on and positioned it to the middle of his sternum. Her face was his light, even her voice kept him well. He even saw her at times when he was under pressure. She was his angel.
It wasn't unheard of and he was glad he had her there to help him. Looking to the men he then heard noises from them, "I think we should go somewhere else. Got any ideas?" he asked with curiosity. He hated to do something to end them but they needed to be elsewhere to talk.[/i]

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa folded her hands together and held them down together as she rocked her weight back to her heals as she listened to Neil speak of his lost friend and his eye. Repa hadn’t noticed that, or could even tell at least from her point of view. Not that she was really looking for anything unparticular. Once he was done speaking, Reno understood his motives for assisting her, and she couldn’t help but let her heart go out to the guy, she knew what it was like to lose someone who was very close to you. “I’m sorry to hear that…really I am. I’ve been down that road once myself.” She said with a heavy sigh before moving her hands to her hips and looking up at the sky. She wasn’t the type to open up about her past, but a friend once told her, that talking about things might make you feel better…though reliving those horrid memories wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to do.
Shifting her eyes over to the necklace Neil was holding up, Repa raised an eyebrow. Seemed everyone had some sort of way to hold onto people. Repa then looked down and placed her hand near her heart. A chain was hidden under her jacket, and on that chain was a dog tag. The I.D. of her soldier brother who had been killed in battle due to her being so naive and acting stupid for the moment. She never took it off and always held it close to her heart. Glancing up and placing her hand back on her hip she smiled a bit, dismissing those memories from her mind as she nodded a bit at her new ally, new friend. “But we all find a way to move on…somehow…someway.”
Looking back at the men on the ground, she heard them shuffle around lightly as they started to come back to consciousness. “You’re probably right…well I do have an apartment back a few blocks away?” She said with a small shrug, keeping her eyes locked on the men sprawled out across the ground. Not bothering to summon her weapon or anything, she knew that they had a few minutes to escape from the scene before these soldiers came to and began attacking once again…hopefully they just stayed put for the time being and gave up for the evening. Repa was in no mood to go play cat and mouse again. “If not there seeing as it is a few blocks away…I’m sure there’s something around here…a small coffee shop or something” she shrugged feeling a bit embarrassed to not really know the layout of shops or anything around here. She wasn’t from here, but was getting used to the area still, so long as she knew the way to and from home, she was happy, that’s all she needed.Words: 591 Muse: Good Tagged: Neil :3 Notes: Sorry for my delayed replied -____- busy lately.

Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." Neil looked to Repa and smiled at her, "In a way I bet we all have been down that path." he then glanced down and sighed the soldiers lay limp still but were prominent to wake soon, even in his profession he knew such. He heard her speak again and sighed quietly again, "Some can others hold it like a grudge." Neil then stood properly and looked to Repa. He contemplated on whether or not to head back to the clinic it was closer and he had a room below the building they could use, "Repa, if you want we can head back to the clinic where I work. There is a room there that we can use for our needs. I usually use it for when I am caught at work. It is a block away. Up to you." He shoved his hair from his face and grinned at the thought of stopping the soldiers.[/i] My muse has finally taken a fall TT

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Thinking back…it wasn’t exactly Repa’s favorite thing to do. So much had happened in her past, things she didn’t dare think about, but there truly was no way to get rid of such thoughts. She just had to cope with whatever happened and pretend to be happy. It wasn’t easy, but she was pretty good at putting on a good mask. She simply nodded at Neil and his comment about being down that road before, seemed everyone has had a loss of some form or another, some worse than others, but everyone knew that depressing feeling of losing something you held near and dear to your heart. “Yep…can’t argue with ya there.” She said shrugging her shoulders a bit as she started thinking back again…had to shake off those thoughts somehow…a distraction perhaps? But just by thinking of any sort of distraction would just bring her back to those depressing days…might as well give in and let it all play out.
Glancing down at the fallen men, Repa scowled a bit. She definitely had some hostility towards them, though who could blame her? Hearing them start to come back to consciousness, Repa started to get worried, briefly listening to Neil’s words about going back to some clinic and work, she nodded her head quickly, shooting a glance his way and looking off down the road. “Whichever is closest, we gotta get moving, don’t want to have to obliterate PSICOM all over again…or for good, at least for now.” She said starting off in what was hopefully the right direction, stepping carefully around the men who were all over the place. Hopefully she didn’t step on someone causing them to wake up instantly and start shooting at them, that was the last thing she needed…to take them all down again? That would be a waste of energy. “Let’s move!” She said watching some of them start to stir around and move, getting out of there quick was the only idea Repa had now. Move! Lartenick Neil Striker "When the world crushes you, go with it. Someday you can repay them. It will be either Evil... or Good. It will be your choice, not mine." Neil looked to Repa and smiled, “Then follow me.” He said as he then maneuvered around the unconscious men on the ground and walked to the clinic. The side walk near it was white and clean, sometimes his father would clean the walk way near the door. He sighed at the thought of his father somehow over indulging in his “happy elixir” and making the road spotless as well.
He soon snickered at the thought and hoped to keep it from him. Knowing his tendencies though Neil would somehow blurt it out at him, he didn’t care much as he walked to the door. He took out his keys and unlocked the door.
The air smelled of flowers again, thankfully it wasn’t as pungent as it had been lately. He then looked back at Repa and waved for her and then went inside. He flicked on the lights and began to look around. It was empty, the clinic was creepy when no one was around.[/i] {Muse still feels like crud}
