Personality: Rude is a quiet individual - not necessarily as in he's very shy, but just that he doesn't talk very much. True, he would be considered shyer than the likes of Reno, but mostly he's just shy with women more than anything else. It's rare for people besides Reno and select few others to hear him say more than a sentence at a time, with long intervals inbetween. He leaves most of the talking to his long-time work partner and best friend, Reno, and only really speaks when necessary.
As shy as he may be sometimes, he's not someone that you would want to get on the wrong side of. He's incredibly strong physically, not to mention a mean fighter. He's very loyal to those close to him and those he cares about, and would do anything to defend his fellow Turks. He's hard-working and efficient when it comes to his job, also lacking any laziness whatsoever, unlike his partner. Those who don't know him well or meet him for the first time may view him as serious and perhaps also very intimidating, but he can be softer than he appears to be. After all, appearances can be decieving.
History: Rude was raised in an orphanage in the slums of Midgar, so didn't know who his real family were, although they were likely to be dead. He was taken in by the ShinRa company at a relatively young age, and put straight into combat training. He had a natural talent for martial arts, and so his amount of physical skills, as well as his physical strength, rose rapidly. He joined the Turks as soon as he was able, and has never once regretted his choice to do so.
Years ago, when the old AVALANCHE, with Elfe at its head, was battling against ShinRa, Rude fell in love with a woman named Chelsea. They dated during the month of December. However, he created some suspicion amongst his co-workers for almost always disappearing as soon as his shifts were over. One of his fellow Turks was told to investigate to see what he was up to, and they found him out on a date in Sector 8 with Chelsea.
Reno had been told about what his partner was up to and decided to follow them himself. He discovered something that would ruin everything, however. Whilst Rude was in the bathroom, Reno saw Chelsea fiddling with Rude's phone, so even after Rude and Chelsea's date was over, Reno followed the girl and discovered that she was a spy for AVALANCHE and that she had been ordered to place a wiretap on Rude's phone. Chelsea's feelings for Rude were real, however, and so she decided to betray AVALANCHE, ending up getting saved by a Turk.
Despite this, Chelsea felt like she couldn't stay with Rude, believing that enemies could not be together. She didn't even tell Rude this herself, however, instead leaving that up to the Turk that saved her. Rude did not take well to her departure, especially since he never even got to say goodbye to her. To this day, he doesn't mention Chelsea at all, having placed a wall there a long time ago, back when it happened.
Rude first encounters the newer AVALANCHE at the ShinRa headquarters, to capture them and as they try to leave the building through an elevator. After that, he meets them again in the Mythril Mines and then with Reno at Gongaga. He also worked with Reno, alongside AVALANCHE, to rescue Yuffie and Elena from Don Corneo, not only because he's loyal to his fellow Turks, but Elena is somewhat like a little sister to him in some ways.
After the events of Meteor, the Turks and Rufus ShinRa retreated to Healen, where they worked from, and it also allowed Rufus time to rest and heal as best he could. Geostigma took hold not long after that, sending the newly built city of Edge into some chaos. The Turks were still working and doing missions, however, one of which led them into a dangerous situation, especially since there were only four of them.
Of course, that one was the mission to retrieve Jenova's head from the Northern Crater. He hadn't wanted to leave Tseng and Elena behind after Elena had passed him Jenova's head in the box and they had been attacked by the Remnants. With Tseng and Elena injured, everything on the Turk's side of things was left to Rude and Reno. As a result, they ended up in a few fights with the Remnants Loz and Yazoo.
Abilities: well-versed and skilled in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, and has good marksmanship.
