Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille nodded some, if only plans like that were simple enough. “Sounds like a good idea to me.” She sighed a bit before her age came back up. It didn’t bother her really, so long as she didn’t look 519 years old, which she didn’t, so really, she was okay with the jokes. “Yeah, I’m sure I got a few old school skills for writing and what not.” She grinned a bit. Although out of those 519 years she had been alive, 500 of them were taken away, spent being a crystal, Vanille really only lived 19 years, till now. Though the thought of turning crystal again came to mind. She always thought that L’Cie who completed their focus went into an eternal crystal slumber, apparently not. Maybe, if that legend was false, maybe there was indeed a way to overcome your focus. With a shrug Vanille nodded once as her straight lined expression transformed into a small smile. So there really was hope, that was nice. “No one ever said this was going to be easy…but, as long as we have hope…I think we’ll be fine.” She agreed with Fate on that, it would be tough, but they would be able to handle whatever was thrown their way. Even if visiting Oerba was a complete bust, at least she got to spend a lot of time with Fate now. “Heh, I really don’t think becoming a mushroom is in my future. I’d much rather not be eaten by a chocobo.” She smiled some swinging her arms at her sides as she continued to walk. The mines weren’t that scary, just a little dark and dirty, otherwise fine. Nothing around her seemed to faze her, from the rusty materials lying everywhere, to even some pulse worker robots working around the almost deserted mine, she just kept focus on Fate as he told her his story. Vanille listened carefully, taking every bit of information in and processing it. Seemed he had a rough past, just as most people did. Though the people with the rough pasts, don’t generally look towards a brighter future, but then again, Fate was different than most people. “Wow. That’s…really something Fate.” Hopefully her asking to know more about him didn’t offend him, or make him bring up some bad memories or something like that. She knew how it felt and didn’t wish it upon anyone. “Well…all I can say is, all that experimentation made you who you are today…look at you now. You’re fantastic, the great Fate.” She smiled hoping that would lighten the mood, she had noticed Fate stare at the ground, an obvious sign of sadness or something related to that. It was her turn for the cheering up. “And trust me, I wouldn’t have you any other way. The Fate I know is too much fun and sweet. If anything were different…well. I’d be sad.” She grinned even more walking down onto a platform that was made out of thick sheets of metal. Vanille stopped and looked around. “The mines can’t be that big, we should be at least in the middle…Oerba is getting closer with every step.”

"Well, you definitely have Fate on your side... No pun intended." He smiled. All jokes aside, Fate was pretty much starving. They would have to hurry and get to Oerba and he was afraid that he might not make it. Okay, he would make it Oerba, but it would have been nice to put something in his stomach. He hoped that the waitress got the money that Fate left on the table now that he thought about it. Betcha someone took it. Just sayin'. Not a lot of people are goodie-two-shoes. Fate would hate to admit it, but there was a slight chance that Hope was right. "No mushroom... What about an about apple? Hey, I better we'd make a great pear..." Fate rubbed his neck for a moment, "Great pear... That has to be the lamest pun I ever said to date."
Being an experiment had it perks. He learned to control his abilities much better... Sadly, that was about it. "You know, i'm not even angry at the people who done those things to me. I just like to meet my parents if they're still alive... Ask them why they gave me up? Why I didn't mean anything to anything to them?" That was the only thing that haunted Fate. Why wasn't his parents real parents? It was even more sad because he didn't even know that Sonuske, his best friend, was his actual biological brother. If Fate were to find out that Sonuske was his brother that would change their relationship forever. "Fantastic... the Great Fate... Well, if you say it then it must be true."
Vanille was is the first to know of Fate's past. He was going to tell Sonuske first, but was never got around to it. Guess Fate was really scared of what Sonuske might think. No, more like Sonuske not wanting to be friends with a weapon. He continued to walk along with Vanille, looking at... everything. "Oerba close, ay? .... Thanks Vanille. Thanks for accepting me." He walked up to her and rubbed the back of his head, nervously. Well, he felt that this was long over due... He leaned in close to her as he closed his eyes. He placed his lips against her's, kissing for just brief moment. He pulled back, blushing, and quickly turned in the other direction. "And that... was my first time..." He placed his hands in his pocket and started to walk back on their path.

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille was getting out of her once bummed out mood, that seemed to come off and on, but now she was starting to think again that there was hope, there was a possibility things would work out. As many times as she wished for a miracle, maybe this was it? Or maybe Fate was just good luck, or maybe, nothing would happen at all. She just had to keep a positive look on things, and try to keep it that way from now on. “A great pear? Haha, that one is actually funny, believe it or not.” Ah, talking about food, only made her hungry now. She hadn’t really thought about it until now. Hopefully they’d get out of these mines sometime soon, there was bound to be fruit or something somewhere… Off in the distance, well maybe not the distance but a good 100 yards away, Vanille saw a light, to the outdoors. The smell of grass and plants was around, so maybe there was something there? Might as well check it out to get her mind off food and being hungry. So Vanille quickened her pace a little. “Well, there’s something we have in common. I never knew my parents, I wish I had, but it’s okay. Who knows Fate, maybe once we’re done battling this L’Cie thing in Oerba, maybe you can go seek out your parents? Another mission to look forward to?” If there was some way to escape this focus, Vanille would be free to do whatever she wanted, and if that happened, she would gladly help him find his parents, if that’s what he wanted to do. It was best she return the favor of helping, since he was here helping her to Oerba. “Yeah, it’s true alright.” She smiled and nodded confirming her statement from before, Fate was Fantastic and great, she meant it. “Well I THINK Oerba is close by…maybe, I’m not sure really. Once we get outside these mines I’ll be able to tell….and Fate, honestly, I would’ve accepted you no matter what. I decided that a long time ago.” Sometimes it just wasn’t the right thing to do, judging someone on their past. Judge them for now, the present. By now she had stopped walking and just kinda stood there, whatever possessed her to stop, she had no idea. Maybe it was just the fact that they were talking, and she felt like she needed to stop for this kind of subject? No. There really was no reason, but perhaps it was a good thing that she did stop walking. Fate had kissed her, and not like she had earlier when it was just cheek action, it made her dizzy a bit, but in the end, she had closed her eyes too and blushed, hard. As Fate then spoke and started walking, Vanille stared from where she was standing, one of her hands trembling as they touched her lips. She felt her lips curve into a side smile as she ran to catch up with Fate, heading towards the open area outside the dark mines, and as of now, for the first time in a long time, Vanille was nothing but speechless.

”… Did you just laugh at my lame joke to make me feel better? Awesome! Best girlfriend ever!” It was cleaver pun, Fate would admit that much, but he didn’t think it was funny. Maybe she was in that crystal so long that she hadn’t heard a good joke in a while. But it was nice to have someone to laugh at his jokes, even the ones that weren’t that funny.
”Sorry to hear that. But at least you have Fang and you have me now.” ’Til Fang kills us... Painfully and slowly. She’d have to catch us first! [coloryellow]… We’re so dead. [/color][/i] Truthfully, Fate wasn’t sure if he wanted to meet his parents. What if they gave him an answer to his questions that he didn’t want? He didn’t need them for seventeen years of his life so he was pretty sure he could do without them for the rest. ”Another mission… Yeah, but they can wait,” Fate said, ”We have to finish this mission here first, right?”A huge smile was planted on the boy’s face as she said she would have accepted him not matter what. ”I think you like me; you really, really like me!” He sung. Yeah, Fate was pretty awesome. He couldn’t believe that he had just kissed her. Of course he walked off to play it cool, but he was still blushing. Hearing nothing from Vanille lead him to believe that she liked it. No, loved it. He simply kept smiling as they finally reached the outside of the mines. ”I was totally waiting for the right moment to do that… Though the mine was the last place I thought it would happen.”[/blockquote]

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille really did laugh at Fate’s joke. He could be funny, without even knowing it, this being one of those moments. “Haha, I laugh at all your jokes, at least so far. I haven’t heard you bomb a joke yet. Consider it a compliment, being funny and all.” She said happily as she continued walking towards the exit of the mines. “Well it’s good to know I’m doing a good job already on this whole girlfriend thing. I’ve never been one before.” She said smiling and being all cheery as everyone saw her as, but this time, there was a difference. This wasn’t her fakey fake happiness, this was…Vanille happiness, and it was real. With a shrug Vanille didn’t seem too upset at the fact that she didn’t know her parents either. Perhaps it was a good thing, she met Fang through the orphanage that way, so it really didn’t bother her that she was an orphan. “Eh, It’s okay. Somehow, I’m okay with the fact that I never knew my biological family, because I may not have met my new one. Fang, you, my weird…dysfunctional at times family.” That surely put a smile on her face, at least an even bigger one than before. She realized that she never needed a biological family, these friends of hers, that’s what made her family. People who care about you and love you, that’s a family. “Yeah, this mission comes first. But it’s really up to you about your parents. Maybe we can find another mission to go on after this?” It was a nice thought, thinking about the future…if there was one. A few giggles escaped from Vanille as once again, Fate made her laugh. It seemed she could never stick with a bummed out mood anymore. “Well you thought right, because I do like you, I really really like you.” She grinned mimicking the words in a mock-dramatic way. Now walking outside of the mines Vanille looked around, it was sunny again, and there were trees around. And where there were trees, there was fruit, at least on Pulse there was. “Well…as weird of a location as it was, and how sudden it was…I think you picked the right moment to do so…I couldn’t imagine a better…place and time.” She assured him with a smile. "Like I said before, Cute girl like me...it's hard to stay away." she giggled that last statement before looking around back at the plants and her eyes catching a patch of flowers, ones that grew near Oerba. “We must be getting close.”

"Well, long live my dream of becoming a comedian... and the first human, baby chocobo," Fate said, "I'm still waiting for my wings... And feathers to come in..." It was kind of surprising that Vanille never had a boyfriend. She was amazing. Then again, he could see why most guys would stay away from her. Fang! She just seemed like the type to behead someone over Vanille's broken heart. But Fang was worth the risk. Besides, Fate was sure Fang would like him once she got to know him. "Hey, guess that's something else we got in common. I never been a boyfriend before... Surprisingly, I have been an orange... Yeah, Garden Festivals sucks. The costume was totally too small for me too."
It was nice to see Vanille smiling again. It just made everything much better. But she was right again. If they would have stayed with their biological parents there might have not been a chance that they haven't met or met the people in their lives now. What would Fate being doing now if he stayed with his parents? He was sure he wouldn't have been here. That was a terrible thought. Another mission after this? "Sounds great. How about we find Fang, Captain?" Great... So we're gonna go search for our death at the hands of this lady... I love your ideas marshmellow.
He grinned also. Okay, he was having too much fun with this. "Yup, i'm totally caught. I couldn't stay away even if I wanted too." The first thing Fate notice was the fruit. FOOD!!!! Yeah, seeing the sun and being out of that mine was nice, but it was the fruit. "So... If I like grab a few of those fruits and like ate them... Would I die?" He asked, staring at the fruit and then back at Vanille. Oh, yes, they were getting close... to the food!

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Well that was nice, as crazy as it sounded, at least Fate had a dream. Not that Vanille was so sure that he wanted to become a chocobo, that had to be a joke. The only dream Vanille had, was overcoming her focus, and if that happened, well she’d have to find a new dream. “Well good luck with that. A comedian baby chocobo…you’ll certainly get some attention with that.” Fate would get attention anyway, who wouldn’t stop and stare at him? Even if his jokes were a little, lame, some people would find humor in them, I mean look at Vanille, she was laughing at them. “Yeah, Boys tended to stay away from me…because of….well Fang, and the L’Cie thing….but I’m sure you made a great orange, I’d love to have a picture of that.” She said with a slight diabolical smile, but it was all in good humor, nothing more. To find Fang, they’d have to head back to Cocoon, and Vanille was okay with that, at least she got to wander around Pulse for awhile. “That’s probably a good idea. Fang is probably worried sick by now.” She said with a sigh thinking of what her friend was probably doing right now, hopefully nothing dangerous or conspicuous to her being a Pulse L’Cie. Drawing attention to herself was the worst thing that could happen right now, at least on Cocoon. Wandering the small area, Vanille nodded as she looked around at some of the various fruit trees. “Of course, the food here on Pulse is never tainted. All completely edible.” She said unhooking her binding rod from her sash, and using the weapon to gather food. She swung it and the strings flew out of it, wrapping around some of the fruit of one tree and pulling them down, onto the next one. “I will say, it’d be really hard to find a sandwich here, unless you made it all from scratch…it’s a difference from Cocoon. We stick to the natural healthy stuff.” She said flipping her binding rod back together and placing it back on her sash behind her back before walking over to the pile of food she had struck down, and she sat down next to it. This was probably where they would stop for the night, one, it was starting to get late and this place looked safe, so might as well stay there. Besides there was food around and it was grassy. It would be an easy place to rest. “How about we stop here for the night? It seems to be safe here and…I’m getting really tired.” She said with a yawn at the end, proving her tiredness.

"Yeah, i'll try not to let the attention go to my head... Sadly, I think it's too late." Maybe Fate could try this comedian thing. Why not use his humor to make a few dollars? Everybody loved a funny guy with purple eyes. Well, the L'Cie thing could push guys away. Who wanted a relationship with someone you feared? Fate didn't fear many things except being alone. "What? Uh, yeah I'll try to get you one of those pictures... If I don't burn them all first." If they were any, those pictures needed to be destroyed. If Sonuske got a hold of them Fate would never live it down.
"Yeah, she might be. But we have nothing to worry about. Fang just looks like the type that could survive anything... Yes, even a nuclear explosion." Maybe after finding Fang, Fate would go find Sonuske and Angeal. He was sure when he told them everything that happened that he would get scolded by Angeal and a hit in the back of the head from Sonuske... Yeah, all that was an guarantee.
All completely ediable! That's all Fate needed to know! He planned on maybe climbing the tree, but it seemed that Vanille had a much better idea. Using her binding rod she was able to get some fruit. We need to get a binding rod! That thing is so awesome! Yeah, it's pretty sweet. Fate walked over to the pile a fruit also and sat down. Fate's first reaction was to grab one of the fruit and just chop away, but that wouldn't be gentlemen like. Instead he would wait for Vanille to grab something. "Stopping is cool with me Captain. And I do love camping out."

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille was happy to have found a place to hang out for the night, to rest and to eat. Tomorrow would be a long day, traveling to Oerba and hopefully making it all the way there by nightfall, though Vanille wasn’t exactly sure they were even heading in the right direction. The only way she knew was the flower patches she saw. The more flowers there were, the closer they had to be to Oerba. “Well, I’ll find a way to get a picture. I think it’d be cute. You dressed up as a fruit. Adorable.” She said making her voice sound as if she were talking to a baby as she pinched one of Fate’s cheeks and laughed a bit before taking a seat next to the pile of food. Fang? Tough? Yes, she was probably like a brick wall. Not easy to take out. “You’re probably right, Fang’s tough. She could probably outlast being a L’Cie…well wait, she already has. Success for her.” As Vanille sat down she felt relief, being able to rest and all, her legs were sore from all the walking, although it could’ve been worse not having that chocobo earlier. With a restful sigh she grabbed a piece of fruit and just rolled it around in her hands, not really wanting to eat, yet wanting to at the same time. “Camping…yeah. Gran Pulse is like one giant camping trip.” She said before finally taking a bite out of her food and laying back against the soft grass. The sun had finally crossed below the horizon and all that was left was the afterglow of its departure. With a yawn Vanille closed her eyes, not going to sleep but resting. She felt much more positive about the future. Like there was really going to be one. Fate made her believe that there really was hope, and there really was a way to overcome your focus. All and all, a pretty successful day. “We’ve covered a lot of ground today…” She said curling herself into a ball on her side against the grass. “Tomorrow will probably be tougher…not that today was tough or anything. Just a theory.” The start of a closing, a way to end conversation for the night, how was she to do that? Just say goodnight or what? “I think I’m gonna get some sleep, I suggest you do too…”

Fate tried to hold his laughter in when Vanille pinched his cheek and started to speak as if he was a baby. It was even funny cause Fate could actually picture Vanille doing something like this. Maybe, just maybe, Fate would allow Vanille to have one of those pictures of him dressed as an orange as long as she didn't use it to blackmail him... He would give in to her even if he knew that just to make her smile. "Adorable wasn't the word I was looking for. Sad, pathetic, pitiful... Yeah, those words fit perfectly," He smiled, "And it the costume smelled. No matter how many times I watched it I still smelled like an orange!"
"Fang's cool. We should be worried about those who try to oppose her." Fate was sure that anyone that got in Fang's way would end up hurt. Fang would do anything to protect Vanille... Even destroy Cocoon. How was one suppose to destroy a whole world? Was there some other awesome power that L'Cie have? Fate would keep those questions to himself. He didn't want to bring up the L'Cie thing and ruin Vanille's mood. Instead, he picked up two of the fruits and started to eat. "Gran Pulse has everything! Huge creatures, chocobos, beautiful girls, fruit, roller coasters, and camping. It's like a big amusement park."
The sun was going down now. It had been a while since Fate had slept outside, years actually. But today was fairly easy besides all the walking. Fate had thought that they would have to fight off creatures, but it was nothing like it. He removed his sheathed blades and fell back, looking up at the sky. Different worlds, but they had the same sky. It was nice and peaceful. He took another bite of fruit before placing his hands behind his head. He watched Vanille curl up and smiled. "Yeah, sleep sounds perfect boss. I'll save the bedtime story for another time. G'Night Vanille." He closed his eyes to get lost in his thoughts. It would be a while before he actually fell asleep.

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille waved off the pathetic words Fate used to describe…being an orange. “Whatever you say Fate, I still think Adorable applies here.” She wouldn’t give up on that, no matter how silly the subject was, she was just inferring that Fate was adorable no matter what. Sensitive and what not, it was perfect for Vanille. “If it makes you feel better, I just so happen to love oranges. They’re the best fruit ever.” That left a wide grin on her face, it was like when she said she would turn into a mushroom or something, there was always some way to keep the other person happy. With a nod in agreement, Vanille decided Fate was right, again. Fang was a tough person, who wouldn’t be brought down easily. “Yeah, she’ll be fine I’m quite positive about that.” She agreed taking another bite of the fruit in her hand, while just listening to the great things pulse had to offer, from Fate’s point of view at least. “Yeah it seems to be a great place…the food, the outdoors etc. Although the amount of bloodthirsty animals waiting to kill you isn’t that exciting, more of a turn off if you ask me.” She shrugged before she had laid down and gotten ready to sleep, not that she could probably fall asleep for a little while, too much to think about. It wasn’t even pitch black out yet, but Vanille wanted to try and get some sleep. It was bound to be a tough day tomorrow and having a lot of sleep and energy was probably a good thing. So after she finished off her piece of fruit, she folded her hands under her head as she sighed. How was she to sleep with so much to think about? Maybe, her mind could put off thinking until the next day, at least about all the L’Cie stuff. “…Goodnight Fate.” She said before closing her eyes and waiting for sleep to take over, and as pessimistic as she was about ‘not getting any sleep’. It only took a few minutes before she was lost in a dream, rather than her thoughts.

She just so happened to love orange… ”…. Dude, I’m going to go find that orange costume now! I’ll wear it everyday if it puts a smile on your face and… I don’t have t wear it on any day that ends in a ‘Y’.” That was completely a joke… Okay, somewhat. He wouldn’t mind putting on a goofy looking costume just to see that smile. ”Seriously, I would dress up as an orange for you and only you… And maybe someone who has food. But I’d do it free for you.”
Fang was going to be fine and so were them… Unless one of those bloodthirsty creatures ate them in their sleep. This was enough talk for the day. Fate would let Vanille have her sleep. All in all, it was a nice and life-changing day for Fate. He was shot. He would definitely earn some cool points telling Sonuske that. He also got to see a brand new world. Most importantly, he got to chill with Vanille. He looked over to see that Vanille was sleep. Well, this is nice—Fallin’ asleep under the night sky. I’m not goin’ to ruin the moment by mentionin’ all the ferocious creatures that could eat us while we’re sleep!!! Ferocious—When did you learn that word? Ya make me so mad sometimes. Finally, after a moment to reflect on the day and a nice talk with Hope, Fate fell asleep.
The next day Fate had woken up pretty earlier thanks to a wooly friend. Fate had no clue what it was. It looked like a small sheep. It was cute though Fate wouldn’t say that out loud. He would say something more along the lines of ‘that’s cool’ or something. Fate’s hands couldn’t help but to be drawn to the little creature. He have never seen anything like this in his home world. Three more appeared surrounding Fate as he sat up. ”Whoa, whoa… Alright, I can play with you all. Just don’t eat me.”

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille just giggled at what Fate said about dressing up as an orange, she really didn’t need to respond, as long as she signaled some way that she was happy, which the giggle did that, then she would be satisfied. Now, it was time for sleep. Her dreams seemed very bright a colorful at first, the area she was in was clearly Gran Pulse, and some of it was Cocoon, with all the bright colors and flowers surrounding. In her dream, it consisted of her, Fang, and Fate. It was like, bits and pieces of the past and what she thought was to come, the past was just her and Fang, the future, Fang and Fate, but…where was Vanille? Her once beautiful dream had taken a turn for the worst, the skies of Pulse grew dark and Vanille, was no longer herself. It was a nightmare, the image of her turning into a Cei’th, and Fang and Fate having nothing to do with her beyond that point was when she decided, enough was enough. The skies were still dark when Vanille shot up and sat there, trying to focus and tell herself that it was only a nightmare. She wasn’t going to turn into a monster, at least she didn’t want to. The dream, or nightmare, seemed so real. What would really happen once Vanille changed? If she changed that was. Would her friends really abandon her and just forget about her? Hopefully not, but hopefully she didn’t change in the first place. After a few quiet moments of collecting her thoughts Vanille looked over at Fate, who was sleeping at the time. Hopefully his dreams were better than hers. With a sigh Vanille got up from where she had been sitting and walked over to sit a little ways away, to get some of that…alone time she wanted right now. There was no chance in going back to sleep now, so it would just be nice to sit here, and watch the sunrise, or something. As the sky started turning different lighter shades of blue, Vanille sat hugging her knees as she heard tiny bouncy steps behind her. She turned and her face went into a smile as a little herd of sheep wandered into the area. Bouncing their way in Vanille seemed to be distracted from her horrors of earlier. One little sheep nudged her with its nose and Vanille seemed…well, girly right now. She adjusted to sit criss-cross and the little sheep bounced into her lap. This was almost like talking to a chocobo, nothing replies, it just listens. Though sometimes, it was better just to talk things out when the other being can’t reply or judge you. “Hey little guy.” She said patting its fluffy wool. “Wandering out by yourself eh? It’s not safe to do that.” This was sad, oh so sad. Vanille was talking to a sheep! As if it understood her! “At least you’ve got a family nearby.” Vanille said with a smile as she turned around looking at the sheep starting to circle around Fate. A giggle escaped her lips as she directed her attention back to the little sheep in her lap. “I’ve at least got Fate with me…” The little sheep nudged her again with its nose. “What? I’m not running away from anything….well, maybe I am. Or I’m trying to overcome something…I don’t know really…sometimes, you just gotta do what’s best for others. I guess coming back to Pulse was a good thing after all…if I do turn Cei’th…well then at least the Cocoon people and Fang will be safe.” She said before hearing Fate wake up. While still holding the one lone sheep she turned around and looked at Fate, being surrounded by the others. “I think they like you…” She beamed with a smile. “Good morning…looks like you got a wakeup call.”

Seriously, Fate had slept like a baby. His dream? Nothing. Sadly, he didn't have one. He never had one. Strange? Maybe. It was something that Fate never thought about. There was some nights other people didn't have dreams. As long as Fate could remember he has never had them. He go to sleep and wake up, feeling like only fifteen minutes had pass.
He was a little shock to see that Vanille was actually awake before him. Must have been nightmares... Well, there wasn't much anything Fate could do about those. Well, maybe he could. He could keep up what he was doing all yesterday, making her smile and left, and maybe that would fill her dreams. "Wake up call... Riiiiggght. I think they want to take me to dinner.... And i'm going to be the dinner." He smiled as he laid back, letting the small sheep-like creature nudge against him. "Good morning to you too.... Uh, I didn't snore any, right?"
"Hey, that lil' fella isn't flirting with you, is he? Does the jealous boyfriend have to fight someone?" He said jokingly, "Please say no. Honestly, I don't think I could take him... As you can see i'm out numbered." He stood up and placed one of the sheep on his head. He walked over to where Vanille was and of course the rest of the sheep followed him.
"Hey, these guys are cute and cuddly... I totally didn't say cute and cuddly... I mean they're cool and huggable. Yeah, that's better. Anyway, how do these little guys survive out here? Wouldn't the bigger animals just... eat them?" He made sure he whispered the lasts words, eat them, to Vanille as if the sheep actually understood what he was saying. I can tell ya how... THEY'RE EVIL! They're totally usin' their cuteness and are gonna take over the world like Justin Beiber! Who is Justin Beiber!? You know, nevermind. Just shut stop talking.

Hopeful DreamerWishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here, and now.Vanille sat half facing Fate, and half facing away as she kept her hand patting against the white fluffy wool of the sheep in her lap. “Dinner? I hardly think these cute little fur balls could even bite you.” They just seemed to cute and cuddly, obviously herbivores. “Nope, no snores. In fact you slept like a rock. It was almost too quiet.” She smiled some looking down at the ground and then back over to Fate. “Did you sleep well? I know camping in Gran Pulse probably isn’t a luxury or anything…” She shrugged, she’d been so used to sleeping outside at times with Fang back in the past, but she knew what it was like to have a nice comfy bed to crawl into, she missed that a lot right now. A home, as in the building, of course Pulse was her home, but there was a difference between a world, and having someplace to be. It almost seemed too early to laugh, but once again, Fate had managed to make Vanille smile and giggled some as she looked down at the sheep and stroked its head, its little legs flailing around happily. “He might be a little flirtatious, and his all around fluffy cuteness is helping. Though I don’t think he could win me over, I’ve already been won over by someone else.” She said closing her eyes some and letting the creature down to the ground as it bounced over to the rest of the little sheep all over by Fate, but they just seemed to bounce right back as Fate walked over with one on his head. “Don’t worry, if they all ganged up on you…I’d save you. I don’t think the sheep are any match for me. Though I could be wrong.” She watched as the sheep followed Fate and she stood up. “Like I said, I think they like you. Or think you are their mom or something. I’ve never seen them follow people around like that before…but cute and cuddly…yes.” How did anything survive? It was just life, some of them died she was sure, but others just knew how to hide themselves and coexist with the other animals around pulse. “ I’m sure they manage. They probably know all the good places to hide.” She grinned thinking about what the day would bring, where would they travel today? Would they get to Oerba by nightfall? Hopefully, if not, another campout was in order. ((btw love the smack against Justin Beiber. Lol))
