Sonuske has to wonder what exactly had happened to Repa out there. He didn't see her take any physical strikes, maybe they had some type of psychological warfare that they had missed him with? He raised an eyebrow when she claimed she was fine. "Then why are you holding your head?" He asked skeptically. He could clearly see something was wrong with her, but if she wouldn't tell him what it was, he couldn't help her. He sighed. Why did she have to be so stubborn and headstrong? Just like a woman! Why couldn't she just explain to him what happened so they could figure out what to do from there?
He looked around, trying to find the best route to take to get outta there. Definitely wouldn't wanna go the way the PSICOM soldiers had just come from. That'd be a suicidal move, and Sonuske disapproved of suicide more than anything. Not to mention he wasn't in the mood for dying today. Maybe some other time. Then he realized, Repa had been here for a while. She should know which way to go! That was an obvious solution, he should slap himself for not thinking of it before. "Alrighty then, lead the way boss lady. You know this place better than I do." He said rubbing the back of his neck.
He was pretty tired still, but he had atleast caught his breath now. If he had a few minutes or so to rest without moving, he'd be fine and ready for more fighting. Honestly, he could still fight now, he'd just be pretty disadvantaged. Speaking of disadvantaged, his left arm was still bleeding. He glanced down at it and touched it, wincing at the pain. Okay, so that wasn't the smartest move he had made all day. He'd have to ignore it for now, atleast til they got somewhere safe and it could get treated.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” So why was Sonuske being so observant today? Or was Repa really that obvious with her discomfort. Not that she couldn’t really hold it all inside, she wasn’t a rock or anything. When you felt like you had someone repeatedly stabbing you in the forehead with a knife, you were bound to show some sign of weakness or pain. She took in a deep breath, hoping the deep heavy heaves of air would dull her headache, but It didn’t, it just gave her more alertness to how painful it was. She rubbed her temples and sighed a bit. “Just a headache…” she said with a stressful tone as she didn’t like the sound of anything right about now, or the brightness of the sun. It was all starting to bother her. But she wouldn’t admit that. “I must’ve hit my head or something…” she said lowering her hands to her sides and just deciding to suck it up for now and suffer. She would find some aspirin or something later. At least things were clearing up, PSICOM wise…they were making a good choice and falling back. It made Repa feel a bit better about how things were going right about now. She giggled a bit when he called her ‘boss lady’, sure she had a headache but she could still be a little enjoyable for the time being. She nodded her head slowly for a moment before looking around the area, just exit the park as usual, sneak around PSICOM and their mini-bases and head back to her apartment or something to get away from this killer headache and the stupid soldiers that brought it upon her. Now she was up and ready to go, starting to get used to the pounding pain in the front her head, she placed her hands on her hips and looked at one of the various exits out of the park. An easy way out, she turned back to Sonuske with a blank expression on her face as she spotted the battle wound he had obtained. Repa’s face seemed to turn a bit pale as she watched the wound bleed, and no it wasn’t from the sight of blood, she just felt bad now he was hurt after getting dragged into her own mess. PSICOM was hers to deal with right now, not anyone else’s…well maybe Cloud or Zack and those people but no one that needed to be involved. Repa’s eyes flickered around a bit before she snapped her fingers and a bright smile appeared on her face. How silly of her to forget, she had the magical ability to cure people without the use of tools or any sort of weird past experimentation. It was just something she had been born with. She walked a bit closer to see the wound and a green light had started shining in her hand before she waved her hand over the bullet wound and it instantly healed up. “Feel better?” She asked stepping away and the green light faded back to nothing. “I’m sorry you got hurt…it’s my fault…PSICOM is something I should take care of on my own…I seem to drag a lot people into my own problems lately…” she said as her eyes sunk to the ground, another round of guilt for that headache of hers. For some reason, Sonuske didn't exactly believe that. A headache wouldn't cause that much discomfort. Unless it was the mother of all headaches! Which he somehow doubted, and he didn't see her hit her head, but then again he was focused on fighting for a good while, but it still seemed unlikely to him. Though for now he'd just have to take her word on it. For now anyway. He just nodded. "If you say so."
He wondered just how far from here safety was, hopefully it wasn't too far. He could feel his laziness starting to kick back in already, which wouldn't be very good for their escape attempts. Atleast Repa was cheering up, giggling was a good sign! He could tell she was coming up with the route for them to take. Good, that's why she was in charge! He stretched his back, getting all the kinks out, groaning in pleasure as he did so. That felt good! He looked back at her and noticed the blank stare she was giving him. He raised an eyebrow. "What?" He was undoubtedly confused, until he saw she was looking at his arm. Oh, answered that question.
"Don't worry about it. It's just a flesh wound, I'll be fine." He said giving her what he thought was a convincing smile. His eyes widened when her hands started to glow green. What was she doing? She wasn't using that materia stuff Angeal had told him about. Did she have powers herself? What were they gonna do? He got his answer when she placed her hand over his wound and it healed up, vanishing as if it had never existed. "Whoa..." He muttered, astounded as he moved his arm around. It was good as new, better than before even. He nodded. "It feels great Repa! Thanks!" He beamed back at her, before his face twisted into one of confusion. Was she blaming herself for his injury? "Hey now, I chose to help you. You didn't make me, besides, I got hurt because I wasn't paying attention. And anyway it was just a flesh wound, and it's healed now thanks to you. Stop worrying about it okay?" After he spoke his piece, he did something he didn't usually do. Without warning he pulled her into a hug, embracing her tightly before letting go. "Stop being silly. PSICOM is an entire army, you're one person. Don't get me wrong, I know you're strong, but I don't think you're that strong."

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Well there was some truth to Repa’s statement…she certainly did have a headache now! It would be hard to explain her life story and how it related to all this chaos that just happened with PSICOM…besides, they didn’t have the time for that, especially if PSICOM was going to return soon with larger forces…that wouldn’t go well for Repa and she knew it, for now it was time to run away from the fight rather than charge into it head first. She smiled a bit, trying to show that she was feeling better…not that she was, but she was pretty good at holding a good poker face…or wearing a mask to shield her feelings and emotions, it was useful some days. “Yeah I do say so! And whatever I say is right so there!” She said trying to add some humor to this situation, not that it would necessarily work or anything, but it was sure to brighten the mood some.
Repa was never one to handle injuries well, she never did get queasy with blood or anything, it just never was something she liked to witness, even if it was a paper cut to a giant gash or something like that. She had the power to heal so it was easy to get rid of things, though there was a few limitations to her power. She couldn’t mend bones, so if they were broken, you were screwed, she also wouldn’t heal anything if say a bullet was wedged into your skin…and stuck there. She could, but she wouldn’t it could cause serious damage to the body if left there and healed over. All and all, it was very helpful sometimes. When he stated ‘what’ Repa simply pointed a bit at the wound and let her eyes just stare at it before she actually went ahead to heal it.
“No! It needs to be taken care of….you don’t wanna get an infection do you!?” Repa explained before moving over and taking care of it herself. It was easy enough, nothing she couldn’t fix, a simple wave of the hand and it was gone…like magic…because it was magic. “Told you so!” She grinned before nodding a bit. “You’re welcome….” She said happily as things were definitely quieting down…and now to make an escape route! Though she was indeed blaming herself…sure she was one person, but one person could make a difference right? “I can’t help but worry you know…it seems these past few months that PSICOM has been my problem…and I’ve done fine taking care of them single handedly…today was just…different.” She said folding her arms and shaking her head getting herself to drop the subject before she was hugged, which she didn’t expect. And for once, Repa felt the need to cry, to really cry…not so much about today…but about everything, of course she wasn’t going to explode onto her emotions right now, there wasn’t time for that. So she just accepted the hug and called it a good day.
Repa just sighed a bit as she looked around now before turning back to Sonuske. “We better get going.” She said with a small smile on her face, starting to feel a bit better, maybe she’d feel even better if they got away from PSICOM or something. With that theory stuck in her head, she looked back to where PSICOM had retreated, no sign of any soldiers, and then she turned back and started walking in the opposite direction of PSICOM, out of the park and back towards the more city areas edge. Hopefully no soldiers were based in the city today…that would end up being a real bummer. “So…that was relaxing.” She said trying to spark of some useless conversation with her sarcasm and a grin. Sonuske couldn't help but laugh. Her attempt at humor was a success, though he couldn't help but feel that he had heard that line somewhere before. Oh yeah! He had said it himself on a multitude of occassions to Fate and a few others. "Whatever you say boss lady. You got it." He said, still laughing. He could tell she was still in pain from whatever kind of headache she was suffering from. But since she didn't wanna talk about it, he wouldn't press the issue. Besides, doing so could be counter-productive. Making her strain herself would probably make her headache even worse, and that was something he wanted to avoid, so he left it alone. For now atleast.
Sonuske shrugged. He was sure he could handle it, but she raised a good point. If it got infected, things could've got extremely worse. To the point he may have even had to get his arm amputated. He shivered at the very thought, then realized just how lucky he was to be friends with Repa. If she healed his arm, couldn't she do the same for her headache? Or did her healing abilities only work on external injuries such as cuts, scrapes, bruises, etc.? He wouldn't get an answer by pondering it forever. "if you can heal, can't you heal your head?" He asked, tilting his head sightly to the side quizzically. If only shadows had the magical property of restoration, alas they only had to power to destroy.
He shrugged again. "Hey, everyone has their off days right? No big deal. Besides, it's not like you were useless, you did pretty good till whatever happened to you happened. For a second I didn't think you'd need my help at all." He said, trying to cheer her up. Had to be rough, fighting an entire army single-handedly. He wouldn't know the feeling, he usually had Fate to back him up whenever he was in a jam. Which of course he didn't at the moment, but he hadn't gotten into a large scuffle so it didn't much matter.
Okay, Repa didn't reject the hug which was a good sign. He honestly didn't know what type of reaction to expect out of that, nor why he did it exactly. It just felt like the right thing to do at the time, so he did. He nodded. She was right, they should definitely start moving. He followed her lead, glancing side to side constantly, watching for any signs of enemy movement. He had to keep his guard up until they were safe, no telling where something may jump out at you and strike. He refused to be struck preemptively. Just wasn't his style.
He watched as the scenery changed from green trees and plants to concrete streets and buildings jutting out of the ground and stretching high into the sky. He was snapped to attention as she stopped and spoke. He chuckled, grinning. "Oh yeah, even more so than a nap. I say we should do that more often to relieve stress." He replied, tossing his own sarcasm into the conversation. He had no idea where they were, but he was sure Repa knew, so he didn't think too much of it. He wasn't lost, just ignorant of his location.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Even if it was lame, Repa had succeeded with her attempt at being funny, she smiled herself and kept herself from laughing as she snickered to herself, shoulders raising up and down as she kept her laughing to a minimum. Mostly she would be laughing at herself for saying something so lame, but still, it got a good laugh and that was all that mattered. It changed the mood for right now, which was good, a clear success. “Boss lady…I could get used to that…” she said with a smirk as she placed one hand up to her chin as if she really contemplated the thought. Which she wasn’t really, just trying to add to the humor of the moment, keep things happy instead of doom and gloom, there had been enough of that around here as it was. “Not saying you have to call me Boss lady though…Repa works perfectly fine.” She said with a small shrug and a smile.
Repa was lucky to have such a power, to be able to heal wounds and what not. But she never healed broken bones and never could heal things such as headaches or other things like that. It was mostly the legit physical stuff that she could handle. It would be nice to cure this headache in a flash, but sadly, it was going to have to disappear on its own…the hard way. While shaking her head some, Repa placed her hands on her hips. “Nah. It’s more for cuts, and stuff like that…besides…healing my head would take a lot of work…not counting the headache, I think there’s just too much wrong with it.” Another attempt at humor. What was she trying to do? Keep the spirit lifted and not worry so much about problems, it was starting to work too, because the sharp pain in her head started to dull some, or she was just getting used to it, either way it was a good sign for her.
“Yeah…I guess you’re right. Maybe it was just a fluke?” Repa said with a shrug as she hoped that’s all it was, if that ever happened again…it would probably be worse the next time around. And what if someone wasn’t there to protect her? It could very well cost her her own life. That would be a real downer. “PSICOM used to be relatively easy…I swear they’re toughening up on me just to confuse me.” She said rolling her eyes some and brushing the subject off to the side and trying to get back to that happy humor tone and mood she was just in. “Next time will be better…no messing up for me.” She said confidently before starting off out of the park. The city was always quiet, unless PSICOM was on some sort of ‘mission’ trying to annihilate Cloud or herself, so it meant the soldiers were away from the city, that was good, but where to go from here?
Repa smirked a bit as the city grew even quieter and duller than when they first stepped into it. “Yeah…that’s a stress reliever all right.” She said with a small chuckle in her voice as she continued to walk before stopping and turning back to Sonuske. “So…where to go from here…where have you been staying while on Gaia?” She had to ask, she herself had a place to stay, a small condo with 2 bedrooms (one her brother usually stayed in on a visit, or even Ebony who had bunked in with her for awhile). If he didn’t have a place there were a few places she knew that would be able to take him in, first there was her own Condo, Ebony was gone by now back on Delatorr with Josh so there was a free room, otherwise there was Seventh Heaven, Tifa and Cloud were really nice and Repa knew they wouldn’t turn her away, let alone a good friend of hers. “Just out of curiosity you know…”Words: 785 Muse: Good Tagged: Sonuske Notes: None!
