::...The Puppy...:: ”Boy oh Boy, the price for freedom is steep.” Zack hadn't even thought that there might be parents younger then him. The thought made his head swim, “Holy crap Repa! I could have kids right now. No! No no no! I'm not even thinking of that, I couldn't have little mini Zack's running around. My life is WAY to crazy for that!” Besides, the kids would probably run all over him. No, he would be a firm discipliner, the way his parents were. When he had helped out Nanaki from those stupid kids he had made that decision. His kids would be respectful and show honor and dignity, along with pride and dignity. Zack wanted a big family yes, but he would also crack the whip on them, no disrespect from his kinds. No way no how! That he promised himself. Yeah, he could leave the kids for the future.
He wanted to roll his eyes when Repa said that they wouldn't tell that she had let him win. “I STILL don't see how I let you win girly. Maybe I should throw you out in a snowbank again just to show you who really won that match.” He gave her a look that told her he would never cry. “I'm SOLDIER, I never cry!” Then he remembered the day he had had to kill Angeal. His mentor and a father figure, Angeal had meant so much to him, and yet he had had to do him in. Afterwards he had gone to Aerith and she had just held him as he cried his eyes out. He had been 16 at that time. 16 and he had just killed his mentor. It was a lot for someone so young to bear, and so he had broken down. Never after that though. He had toughened up considerably because of that, enough to make it through the rest of the events until his own death. Fighting Sephiroth, Cloud, Hojo, Genesis, the Army, Turks...
Zack just laughed, sharpies? “Good knowing you have my back.” He loved this, being able to laugh and smile, joke around without having to be all gloomy and depressed. He had only known Repa for a short time and yet he already viewed her as a close friend. And wait a minute...she had money on the fight? A vote of confidence! He grinned, “Alright then! I can't loose with this now, not that I had a plan of loosing before.” Then Ebony joined the group. She said she was alright so he nodded, “Ok. I'm glad your alright.” He gave her another award winning smile and then she introduced herself. Her name seemed odd to him, but then again, he had heard some REALLY weird names in his day. Like Tseng, and Sephiroth, Angeal...so yeah, names that were different then he was used to was ok. She was right, everyone was alive so it wasn't that big of a deal.
They conversed about Josh for a bit then. “So are we gonna have to track him down or wait till he comes here?” He finally put his two cents in and then waited to see what they would say. It wouldn't be fair if this Josh was tired out and he was fresh, although Zack was almost always fresh and had a lot of energy. Even running around from the army and the Turks for a long time hadn't made him tired. It was because he was enhanced. So he just stood there and looked between the two young women, wondeirng what was going to happen then.

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa kept a smile on her face as she nodded some. It was a scary thought but she herself could have kids now too! Even kids younger than her…it was really a scary thought. No one needed to take up that type of responsibility at such a young age…perhaps in a few years that would all change, but Repa was 21! A few years to her was like…5-8, and being 26-29 years old seemed a little better to start a family rather than being…just a kid. Yeah, she still thought of herself as a kid sometimes…but there were times she really took on the adult role, not very much though, she just wasn’t used to having that many responsibilities, and now that she was helping save an entire world…she was starting to get a dose of reality and the real world that adults always talked so much about. It was frightening, but it certainly gave her a wakeup call. “Little Zack’s?” She said with a tiny laugh, it was a weird thought, soon little Repa’s might be running around, and she brushed that scary through from her mind as quickly as it came.
Happily, Repa grinned as she placed her hands on her hips and just smiled wide. “It’s because I’m that awesome.” She said with a cheesy grin before her face fell into a blank stare and almost horror when he said he should just throw her into a snow bank. That would be cold! The scary thing about this was…Zack could do it too! He was what…6’2” and Repa was what…5’2” if even that? Oh yeah, she’d put up one heck of a fight against a SOLDIER…and LOSE! She just laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her head, taking a step away from Zack. “I don’t think any snow banks are necessary…besides…that isn’t fair, you’re like huge compared to me…how would I be able to fight off a SOLDIER?” she said still smiling a bit as she looked up at Zack. Josh was definitely going to have his work cut out for him…though Josh was no small fry like Repa was…that was for sure. “Okay so you never cry and you threaten to throw people in snow…you so win.” She said shaking her head some and acting as if she had been defeated, which she had. Zack would win, no doubt about it…at least against her he would.
Oh Repa would have Zack’s back, for sure! And the whole sharpie thing…she wasn’t joking. She’d done it once, Josh was asleep and she took that permanent marker to his face. After that she learned never to draw on someone with sharpies while they were sleeping, or they would literally drag you outside and try to stick gum in your long black hair….or Repa’s long black hair that is. Which thankfully never happened, Repa never thought she could pull of a short haircut. But that’s way off topic! “Well that’s good! I don’t want to lose my money either so that’s another reason you got backup! Not that I think it’ll be necessary.” She said with a small shrug of her shoulders before Ebony had joined the party…and with bad news, at least for Repa’s sake. This smack down wasn’t going to happen anytime soon now was it?
“Darn it. Perhaps we should just wait for him to get home? Lord only knows what’s going on out there…” Repa said with a sigh and a shake of her head as the thought was depressing. Her brother was out on the battle field right now probably, he could die…any day he could die. It was a sickening feeling she got every day, just waiting for the bad news of the loss, but she counted her blessing since he was still here…for now that was. It was how her oldest brother had died, in combat and all, but she just couldn’t lose Josh…he was like her best friend in a way. “He’ll come around…don’t they usually relieve the soldiers after so many hours a day?” She said looking at Ebony trying to remember the ropes of the army around here. “I think that’s what they do…” she said shrugging her shoulders once more, now with nothing to do.Words: 872 Muse: Great Tagged: Ebony & Zack Notes: I WILL post Josh after Zack's next post, i promise!

Black Researcher Those orphans gave me the name Ebony. The citizens of Cocoon gave me the name Blackwell. Now you'll see why. “So are we gonna have to track him down or wait till he comes here?"
“Darn it. Perhaps we should just wait for him to get home? Lord only knows what’s going on out there…”
The two said something along the same lines as the other with a couple of differences. But, they would have to wait for him. Ebony didn't know what went on in that battlefield of theirs, and she really didn't want to know. She had already seen plenty of fighting, killing, etc. etc.
The poor guy was already deprived of sleep and food. What else could the army do? Ok, scratch that. She really didn't want to think of that. She just let out a heavy sigh, and ran her free hand through her hair, looking off to the side.
“He’ll come around…don’t they usually relieve the soldiers after so many hours a day? I think that’s what they do…”
She really didn't know that either. With how everything was going lately, Josh was getting off later and later, and that was what Ebony was worrying about the most. At the rate he was going, he was about ready to fall from exhaustion. But, maybe the generals and higher-ups would notice him and give him a break...or not...its not like she could read minds or anything...though that would be nice...
"Well...we'll just have to wait and see. Why do you need him anyway?"
She hadn't exactly heard any of the earlier conversation echoing down the hall...she was too engrossed with her book to listen in... Words: 380 Muse: Meh...could have been better, but we can't get all that we wish for... Notes: None

::...The Puppy...:: ”Boy oh Boy, the price for freedom is steep.” “Yeah! Little Zack's! And...well...little Aerith's?” The thought was scaring him more and more. Most men didn't want to think about kids and the whole future marriage thing. So he coughed and turned a bit red. Though he wanted kids, it still was a very scary thought. Plus the fact that though he was 23, and would be 28 if he hadn't died, he was 19 in mentality. He had been under mako in comatose fashion for 4 years, so that was four years that he hadn't aged in mind in the least. “Ok ok, so this whole kid topic is kinda scarin' me, lets hope it doesn't happen for awhile!” he said that venomously, almost to try and deny the fact that he could be a father. Eyes were now crossed as he tried to shake the thought out of his head. Hell, he couldn't be a father! What kind of life could he give his kids? He never knew when he would die or be killed or anything like that! He just...couldn't even think about it.
Thankfully Repa provided an escape from the previous conversation and Zack focused on what he would do to her about the snowbank. “Oh yeah, snowbanks are completely necessary, so you'd best watch your back girly-q.” If Zack could have an evil look it was crossing his face as they spoke about it. If he had a sister Zack would have definitely thrown her in the snowbank for something like this as well. She did raise a valid point however, when she mentioned that she couldn't fight off a SOLDIER guy. Ok! What was a weakness of his? Weakness...weakness...“Well I'd tell you a weakness of mine...but A: that would defeat the purpose, and B: I can't think of any weaknesses.” She told him he won and he smiled, “Ok so I was lying about that, I HAVE cried before. But don't go tellin the guys 'bout that ok?”
With a little shrug as well Zack wondered if he would ever get to meet this Josh. He could relate to the guy, being a soldier wasn't exactly the greatest job ever, though it paid the bills. Still, the hours were bad, especially if you weren't the highest level of soldier. The work, plus the monsters, fighting, bad food, bad pay and all that jazz made it a job that most would never go for. “Even soldiers need some rest, I'm sure he'll come around sometime?” Of course, things could be different, all he had ever known was SOLDIER that was funded by ShinRa, this could be completely different.
Ebony asked why they needed him and Zack went to answer before he remembered that they were going to give him the smackdown. Perhaps now wouldn't be a good time? If this Josh was tired, hungry and cranky from the work, which was understandable, a smackdown wouldn't be that great of an idea. He gave Repa a look like that and scratched his head. “Well...I'm a SOLDIER, or an ex-SOLDIER, and I wanted to meet Josh. Ya know, since he's a soldier guy and all.” Who was she anyway? Was she someone that would be upset if she knew that they were going to be laying the smackdown? He eyed her up, obviously she knew Josh, but was there something else going on? “Uh..and possibly...well...” He glanced over at Repa and shrugged, wondering if she would jump in and say anything. It was easy to joke around with Repa, but he wasn't so sure if the new woman would take offense at anything. Words: 747 Muse: alright Tagged: Repa and Ebony Notes: Nothin

Super SoldierI am a soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight. Another day…another sleepless night before…another starving afternoon…and another shift coming to an end. Josh yawned a bit as he was walking out of the base a few miles away from the castle, his shift had ended for the time being as he was going to go home and get some sleep, eat, and try to relax before the next day came and he’d have to do it all over again. Things had been picking up lately, ever since Josh and Ebony had come back to Delatorr from Cocoon, the weight on Josh’s shoulders seemed to quadruple. He was working way overtime and wasn’t getting the best health possible for a young soldier like him, of course in times of war, things were different. There were no exceptions to keeping your home world save and protecting your title. Josh wouldn’t watch his world…his father’s creation crumble down in ruins…and one day, he or Repa would continue their father’s legacy.
Riding in the passenger’s seat of a small army vehicle, Josh kept is eyes peeled as he and a few other soldiers drove away from the base. Things were very quiet today so he figured maybe he’d get a little extra time off, though the thought was probably silly. No one in the army really got time off, it was just a ‘break’ between bullets. But who could complain? It beat having to stay up and out there all the time…Delatorr had many troops, so it was easy to switch up about shifts and what not…right now it was Josh’s turn to head home for awhile. He expected to see Ebony there as always, but wasn’t expecting a visit from his sister. He saw Repa a little while ago back on Cocoon with Ebony, but then she departed back for Gaia to watch over Cloud and PSICOM…so he figured it’d probably be another few weeks before he got to see his baby sister again…wrong.
As the vehicle pulled up into a small lot around the castle, Josh hopped out and it drove off again. With his gunblade strapped to his back he strolled inside to the great entryway and saw water on the floor. Someone was here…perhaps Ebony or one of the servants had gone outside? Maybe…the snow was getting to be unbearable, so cold and hard to fight in. But Josh lived with it as he strolled down to his room, changing out of his muddy uniform and into something more presentable. A pair of jeans, black t-shirt and a white jacket over that, it made him feel refreshed and a lot better, now…to find Ebony.
As he walked down the hall he heard chattering, Ebony’s voice he could clearly pick out, another voice he knew too well, but figured it was just his imagination, and another voice, a man he sure didn’t know. As he rounded a corner he looked down the hall, there was Ebony…there was Repa…and there was…a guy. Josh made his strides a bit longer as he walked up towards the group of 3. Walking up behind Repa he placed a hand on her shoulder and looked over at Zack. “Repa…What are you doing here?” He said cutting his eyes downward at his little sister before looking at Ebony, then over to Zack. “And who is your friend?” He asked, his green eyes studying Zack carefully, by the look of him…and the giant sword on his back, Josh had to figure this was a guy from Gaia…some sort of fighter? A Soldier maybe? What was going on? And Why was Repa here…?Words: 714 Muse: Good Tagged: Ebony, Zack, Repa (myself!) Notes: had to change his color up a bit so its not confused with Zack's...and...ill post Repa later >.>

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Repa laughed a little at the whole subject, it was something so far away, at least it seemed like it to her. Something that wouldn’t happen for years…if ever, at least in her case. It was a nice thing to think about though, the future and where you would end up. Repa had all sorts of ideas, though with every passing day, the events she had gone through changed her thoughts of the future, and took away some of the options she had or gave her new ones. “Alright, how about we just drop the subject for now eh? I’m not partial to thinking that far ahead into the future…I want to live here and now…not like 10 years from now.” She said with a wide smile as the subject finally came to a close, as she wanted…but still…in the back of her mind it would creep up on her once again.
With a mock horror look on her face, Repa did her best to not smile, just to go along with her expression. “Snow banks are not necessary! Would you really throw a Princess into a snow bank?” She said shifting her expression from mock horror to sad puppy eyes. That was probably the only time she threw around her title as important…to save herself from being thrown in the cold wet snow again…but she knew he probably would never do that, unless she really got him good with something, then it probably would be necessary. After her puppy dog eye attempt, Repa changed her expression once again back to happy and smiles as he talked about weaknesses and what not. Oh boys, how they would never admit a weakness, but then he admitted he had cried before…everyone had their moments, sometimes life was too much and you had to let things out, even if you were a big bad tough guy SOLDIER. “Don’t worry, I won’t say a single word on the subject.” She said with a wink and a smile before Ebony got into the group, cool, the more the merrier.
Repa just shrugged and stayed quiet for a few moments. Josh would come around, god willing nothing horrible happened today and he died or something, that would be a real downer of a day. But it always seemed that no matter what was thrown at the guy, he always seemed to survive. A grin spread across Repa’s face as Zack started explaining to Ebony why they were looking for Josh, sure a SOLDIER to Soldier meet would be nice, someone for both of them to relate to, but Repa’s intentions were so far greater…at least in her eyes they were, it would be so entertaining. When Zack looked over at her and started to stop speaking, Repa jumped right in. “Oh I want to see Josh get the crap kicked out of him.” She said with a wide grin. “Don’t get me wrong I love the guy, he’s my brother and what not, but he needs to be taught a lesson…to not be so…full of himself when it comes to the battlefield.” She said with a confirming nod as she folded her arms across her chest.
After a few moments of silence though between the trio, Repa swore she heard footsteps behind her and the rest of the small group. She started to turn before she felt a hand on her shoulder and a familiar voice into the air. Perfect timing! “Wow Josh, you have superb timing…” she said turning a bit towards the snowy white haired guy now next to her. Honestly, if you looked at the two from the front, they really didn’t look like family, Repa had black hair, Josh had white…but with black in the back at the roots, Repa had blue eyes, Josh had green, but still, they were siblings, pretty close actually. “I had some business to talk with dad about….oh and this here is Zack.” Repa then turned to Zack and gestured at Josh. “Zack this is Josh…my brother.” And with that a grin so mischievous, so happy, danced across her face.Words: 812 Muse: Good Tagged: Ebony, Zack, Josh (Myself once again) Notes: None

Black Researcher Those orphans gave me the name Ebony. The citizens of Cocoon gave me the name Blackwell. Now you'll see why. “Well...I'm a SOLDIER, or an ex-SOLDIER, and I wanted to meet Josh. Ya know, since he's a soldier guy and all.”Soldier? What did being a soldier make a difference? She could only figure that it was some sort of guy thing. Sure, she had been an Escort Guardian at some point, but that job was different. She was called on the fly, and the time of the job varied. With soldiers, well...they were soldiers. She would have to ask him about that later though, since he looked like he was almost guilty of something. Did she do something wrong? No, nothing like that. Because then Repa answered her question. “Oh I want to see Josh get the crap kicked out of him. Don’t get me wrong I love the guy, he’s my brother and what not, but he needs to be taught a lesson…to not be so…full of himself when it comes to the battlefield.”Beat him up? Well, with that big sword on the guy's back he could most certtainly do that. Of course, if it got any more intense than just talking and a few punches, then Ebony would most certinaly jump in and show this Zack guy who was boss. But, she was pretty sure it wouldn't get that far. It would be interesting though, she was sure of that. Suddenly, she heard footsteps heading their way from farther down the hall. She looked up to see Josh walking down towards them, in a more casual outfit rather than his uniform. He must have just gotten off duty then. He walked up behind Repa, and put his arm around him. He must have been surprised to see Repa and such, since the last time Ebony saw her, was...well, she wasn't going to go into detail on that. She just listened as Josh asked why Repa was there, and then asked about Zack. Simple and obvious questions, so Ebony just closed her eyes and waited. “I had some business to talk with dad about…oh and this here is Zack. Zack this is Josh…my brother.”Ebony cracked one open, and saw the mischievious smile on Repa's face. This was probably the moment the girl was waiting for. So, Ebony stood up a bit taller, and just waited for the actions to commense. Words: 504 Muse: Alright Notes: Notta.

::...The Puppy...:: ”Boy oh Boy, the price for freedom is steep.” Zack stood there and looked down at her as she gave him those puppy dog eyes. Man he WAS the puppy, he should be immune to such things. He wasn't. And she had exceptionally good puppy eyes too darn it. Blinking a few times, he looked down at her and sighed. Yet then a slightly evil grin crossed his face. He could play the mean older brother part! “I would throw a princess into a snowbank. Remember? I'm not going to be any different to royalty then regular people, and if you were my sister hell yeah I'd throw you into that snowbank!” Of course, those puppy eyes loomed in front of him, so big and cute. He felt himself slipping in his resolve and finally rubbed the back of his neck. “But I suppose I can be nice and not do it because your a girl and all.”
Of course, while he hadn't wanted to tell Ebony what they were doing, Repa seemed ready to just come right out and say it. Zack had to laugh at that, and did so, blue eyes twinkling. “It seems Repa never says whats on her mind.” Oh the sarcasm. Yet he had to admire her for that quality. He himself was pretty much an honest open person, at least when it came to most things. Never one to lie or try and get away from the truth. No, Zack was definitely a come right out and say it kind of guy. Actually at times he lacked the tact that most had in situations, just because he came right out and said what everyone else was thinking.
Though he specialized in physical attacks using his sword, Zack had a plethera of options open to him when it came to battle. Having been in the lifestream, he had learned the use of magic without materia, and could thus summon magic when needed. Zack, though human, was a greatly enhanced and advanced human. Thus he had quite a few things up his sleeve. For some reason Zack was ready for battle. Though he looked relaxed, underneath was a fiery ball of energy just waiting to be let loose. He was always a big ball of energy though, so it wasn't anything new. Thats what had gotten him the nickname of 'the Puppy.' his zero attention span and hyperactive nature.
Suddenly steps could be heard. Attuned to most things that went on around him, Zack turned his head slightly to see a man with white hair walking toward them. It was like Sephiroth, white hair and all. He had never been able to understand how anyone could have white hair and be young, yet Sephiroth had had silver hair. That of course was attributed to the Jenova cells running through his body. Blue eyes didn't change as he eyed up the guy who was apparently this Josh guy Repa had been telling him about. Looked like just a regular guy in normal clothes and everything, although when it came right down to it, Zack looked like just a regular guy as well.
Of course, he was being eyed up just like he was eying up his opponent. Thats what guys did, they sized each other up. Its what men did, almost like their past time. He talked and Zack just watched, not wanting to interrupt their meeting. He wasn't altogether sure they got to see each other often, so he didn't wanna screw up the meeting. Zack caught that mischievous grin of Repa's and couldn't help but return with a grin before turning back toward he guy that was about his age. With a nod, he reached his hand out for a handshake. “Heya, Zack Fair, as your sister just told you. I've heard quite a bit about ya, glad to finally meet ya.” Words: 756 Muse: meh its dying on me >.> Tagged: Repa, Ebony and Josh Notes: MUST.GET.CAUGHT.UP.TODAY!

Super SoldierI am a soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight. Josh stared at the three, something was up. Especially that evil little smile on Repa’s face, that screamed that something was up. She was totally plotting, but Josh just raised an eyebrow at her and looked over at Ebony with a grin, happy the day was over for him and the he could spend some time lounging around the castle…god willing that was. If something major happened at the base or something Josh would be called back, and as any good soldier, he would return ready to fight and defend, but for now, his mind was away from war and fighting, he had enough of that lately, why make it 24/7 for him? That would really bite. As he smiled at Ebony he dropped his hand from Repa’s shoulder and wrapped his arm around Ebony. He was just so glad she was staying here, now he didn’t have to wait weeks at a time before seeing her again.
With eyes flickering from Ebony to Repa, and from Repa to Zack, Josh just kept quiet, listening to Repa’s little introduction with a small nod before Zack introduced himself as well. A grin spread across Josh’s face as he shook hands with the man in front of him. Any friend of Repa’s was a friend of his right? Well…almost. “It’s nice to meet you.” He grinned with a small nod before narrowing his eyes some and cutting them over to Repa for a brief moment. “She’s said stuff about me? All good I hope.” Josh said with a small chuckle before his eyes went back to Zack, he had almost given Repa one of those ‘what did you do now’ type of glances, but knowing her it could be just about anything.
What was this business Repa had come to talk to their father about? And What did this Zack guy have to do with it? Or was he just enjoying the trip, keeping Repa company or something like that. Guess it was time for a Q & A session. “So…what’s the business you need to speak with pops about? I mean…if you don’t mind me asking. You haven’t been here in months…so I guess you could say I’m curious to why you’re here now.” Josh said keeping his arm wrapped around Ebony but his mind was someplace else. Running through the countless thoughts of Repa and her ambitious ideas, it was bound to be something crazy or really REALLY important. That was a good enough question though, Repa or Zack would say something right? Meh, who knew?
“So what have you done today?” Josh said letting his eyes glance over at Ebony, a smaller smile on his face as his curiosity had spiked up a bit, but still he was happy. Glad to be home and able to probably go rest or something soon. “Anything exiting happen while I was gone?” it was probably a lame question to ask, it was always the same thing, nothing really happened around the castle, it was all left on the battlefield, at least anything interesting to him. But still, easy conversation was better than nothing. “Say, I have more time than I thought I would…want to do something later? Take advantage of all the free time I’ve got…I swear the workload doubles each day.” He said with a heavy sigh as things really were getting rougher around the base and what not. This war was getting out of hand and going on far too long…it had been a few years now and it just kept progressing, then getting nowhere, the boundary lines weren’t even shifting at all! It was stupid…the way things dragged on like this. Words: 731 Muse: Good? Seeing as I wrote this a few days ago? Tagged: Repa, Ebony, Zack Notes: sorry it took so long v.v

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Okay, so Zack got her there. Wasn’t it Repa who said ‘Royal people just want to be treated normal’ or something like that? She set herself up for that one and failed miserably, but instead of huffing or anything, she simply rolled her eyes at the thought of being thrown into a cold wet snowbank. “Well then it’s a good thing you aren’t my brother, I got enough brotherly ‘abuse’ when I was a kid…I still do!” She said sticking her tongue out at Zack like the immature girl she was being right now, that was Repa for you. Of course, her eyes narrowed a bit as she raised an eyebrow at Zack. That whole ‘because you’re a girl’ stuff bugged her a bit, but she could play off of it. She didn’t need any man’s mercy, if it meant being thrown in a snowbank, so be it. She would survive right? “Because I’m a girl…or how about because I’m just so awesome and cool you wouldn’t want to see the scary side of me?” she said with almost a hopeful look on her face to see if that one would work, though it probably wouldn’t.
Repa kept a huge smile on her face as she was never afraid to say what she thought. No matter how silly or strange it sounded, she was more than happy to share her thoughts, unless…it was sad or depressing. Sure she would share her thoughts, but she wouldn’t share her memories…her past. Those were dark things she kept to herself. Of course, no one would guess that. A good smile and some lame attempts at jokes took away any ideas of her being a sad depressed girl, which granted, she wasn’t but everyone did have their moments. Certain things brought her down, but playing it off as nothing, that was her specialty. Being friendly was easy for her, but opening up that way, unlocking her past…it was easier said than done.
“You bet’cha!” She said with a small fist pump as she grinned widely and it twisted into an evil grin almost at the thought of her little plotting scheme. Josh was totally gonna get it handed to him! Repa couldn’t wait! Of course she didn’t want anyone hurt, just…give the guy a wake up call, that’s all. “I’m such a quiet person.” She said sarcastically with a wink as Josh finally decided to show up. PERFECT. As he asked about her business, Repa simply waved it off. “I’ll fill you in later, it’s a…really long story.” She said now going into a more serious tone and mode, there was a time for messing around and being silly and a time for being serious. Now she should probably be serious, not act like such a goofball and maybe add some class to her name. But of course, the plot in her head made it really hard to keep that way. Oh well!
“So Josh…Zack’s a SOLDIER, from Gaia…and you’re a soldier from…well here.” Repa started, shifting onto the balls of her feet as she grinned sheepishly, how to initiate a challenge for Josh? Well, she could be blunt about it and just spit it out, or she could tip toe around it and let him figure it out for himself. “You two have a lot in common I’m sure…” sneaking around it was what she was going for I guess. “Perhaps you two should swap stories, you know? Talk about your glory days, battles, maybe duel- I mean, yeah glory days.” Her grin widened as she looked over at Ebony before Josh started talking to her. “Ebony…do you like popcorn?” Ring side seats! You needed popcorn for anything like this! Of course she was only half joking, no need to make a huge deal out of this, it was all in good fun right?Words: 786 Muse: Good Tagged: Ebony, Zack, Josh Notes: Same as post above v.v

Black Researcher Those orphans gave me the name Ebony. The citizens of Cocoon gave me the name Blackwell. Now you'll see why. With Josh now part of the picture, Ebony couldn't help but continue noticing the mischeivious looks that Repa and Zack kept having cross their eyes and face. Poor Josh didn't even know what was coming to him, as he just stood there, smiling and oblivious. He thought it was all just about a simple thing with the King, but he didn't know about the pain that they were ready to inflict upon the. She could only let out a small sigh and cross her arms over her chest, moving the book that was under her arms to her hand, as she continued to lean against the wall that was behind her. But...she never let the thought of stopping them come into her head. Secretly, she wanted to see what would happen with all of this. It would be entertaining, she couldn't help but admit that to herself.
Josh then moved from his siter to over to her, and placed his arm around her waist. Not that she wasn't umconfortable, it was jsut that neither had really ever shown affection in front of other people. At least, Ebony didn't. She couldn't help the small blush that rose up to her cheeks, but she only scowled and looked off down the hall, as Josh started to talk, and she noticed the sly grin on Repa's face, as she started to bring in the idea of the challenge. She could only roll her eyes, and let a small smirk appear on her lips, as Josh started to talk to her about doing something later.
"Say, I have more time than I thought I would…want to do something later? Take advantage of all the free time I’ve got…I swear the workload doubles each day.”
Ebony ignored the proposition, as Repa turned to look at her. There was that look again. That one that said that something was going to go down here soon, and Ebony could shake her head.
"Ebony…do you like popcorn?”
To be honest, Ebony had never had popcorn. It was a luxury that was hard to steal back in Cocoon, because it was either crowded, or the vendor was keeping a close eye on it. Besides, she didn't really care for it. The essentials, like bread and water, were what she cared about.
"Don't know. Never had the stuff. Like to try it though, now that I don't have to worry about being caught."
That last part was more of like an inside joke for her, but she didn't care if Repa didn't need to understand it. She was just waiting for everything to go into place. Words: 555 Muse: Pretty good Notes: Sorry for the shortness and kinda long wait! >.<

::...The Puppy...:: ”Boy oh Boy, the price for freedom is steep.” Zack had to laugh at the other reasons Repa provided that he might not want to cross her. “Awesomely scary?” He even got a tongue stuck out at him and everything. “Hey girly! Even sticking your tongue out at me now? Whos the kid again?” He was on the verge of picking her up and tossing her over his shoulder until she said she was sorry when suddenly he realized she had said there was a scary side to her. “Scary? You? Somehow I don't think its possible. At least not for someone so little. You weigh all of what, eighty pounds?” At the same time he reached out and poked her in the stomach, blue eyes dancing with fun. He hadn't had this much fun in...forever? With a relenting look Zack smiled, “I was just kidding about the girl stuff though, believe me, I've known some girls that could hand you your ass and look pretty doing it. I was just raised by a mom that would be the one handing me my ass if I ever mistreated a woman.”
their chat was interrupted though, when the other woman and Josh showed up. With his hands on his waist Zack couldn't help but shake his head at the look Repa had on her face. She must really be enjoying this. Of course, it wasn't like Zack just automatically knew he could actually lay the beat down, but when you survived as much as he had in his lifetime you got pretty sure of yourself. Just like he had been confident he would be able to beat down Genesis all the times he had had to, Zack was confident now. Overconfidence could destroy someone, and with Zack overconfidence had put him in some pretty bad situations when he hadn't been all that strong. But he had lived through them all and and here he was today, though he hadn't survived that last battle...anyone that could take down an entire army and live to tell about it...well they had his respect. Zack had taken down all but three before exhaustion and the bullet wounds that had littered his body had taken over.
Enough of that. Meeting the gaze of the brother, Zack liked him immediately. Of course, he hadn't doubted he would, but still, meeting someone face to face was a lot different then hearing about them. Obviously the two, Josh and Ebony were dating or something. From the look and the way he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. Zack sighed a bit before rubbing the back of his neck. That was just another of his long list of regrets...but best not to get into that. When the brother talked to him Zack nodded, “You too, and yeah don't worry about it, all good stuff, if not I would tell ya.” Glancing over at Repa, Zack almost laughed at how evil her expression was. It had 'Look out I'm plotting' written all over it.
Repa...was being quite interesting in how she was explaining why they were there. He had to laugh at how she mentioned dueling in the mix of stuff. “Yup, us soldier guys have to stick together, although I must say there aren't very many soldiers on Gaia anymore.” Could she be more obvious? Zack was smiling and barely holding his laughter in now. Lips were twitching as he tried to keep the cool look, but really he was ready to crack up. “Your the prince here right? I think its pretty cool you work too, I mean, the guys back home that are higher up haven't always...worked, at all actually.” He thought of the president when he had been in SOLDIER. The guy was just about the laziest man ever, overweight and had everyone else do his dirty work for him. The perfect example was the Turks. Even popcorn? Really? He had to laugh at that, he couldn't help it. “Popcorn Repa? Better save some for me!”

Super SoldierI am a soldier, I fight where I am told, and I win where I fight. Josh hadn’t really been listening to much until he heard those words ’I’m such a quiet person’, with a glance in Repa’s direction he raised an eyebrow, still standing near Ebony, he just couldn’t quite believe what Repa was saying. “You’re quiet?” he said in a quite tone before shaking his head some, just letting her go on with her sarcasm towards the others and just enjoying the company. It was nice to be out of work for the day, as the workload piled on deeper every day, Josh valued and took advantage of any spare time he had. For sleep, food, and spending time with Ebony of course, but then again, he never expected to see his sister here, or her friend Zack, so surely he’d sacrifice a few moments of sleep, a few bites of food, and maybe…nah he wouldn’t sacrifice any time with Ebony even if it was to say hi to Repa.
Be filled in later eh? Okay, so long as Josh got the full story, that would be fine. It didn’t really matter what Repa had come here for, but it did spark interest that she brought a friend with her, was something wrong back in Gaia and they needed help or something? Or was this just one of those friendly visits? Maybe that was it, perhaps she was feeling homesick? There’s a thought. And as soon as that thought ran through Josh’s head, it was gone forever. Now he was paying attention to Ebony, her little scowl as she looked down the hall and Josh had his arm around her. He chuckled lightly at her expression, she was pretty amusing he had to admit that, with the way she didn’t like to blush or anything, just sort of…scowl.
Now shifting his attention to Zack, Josh just grinned slightly. These two would probably get along fairly well seeing as they were both soldiers of some sort, both knowing the battlefield pretty well, it would be nice to talk with someone who actually knew where you were coming from sometimes. Besides, when all you had to talk to was Ebony or Repa…you definitely needed some guy time. With a nod towards Zack, Josh shifted his eyes in Repa’s direction. “I’m sure something eventually won’t be so dandy about me…at least coming from Miss Diabolical expression over there.” He said nodding in Repa’s direction as the look on her face was just…pure evil. That look of plotting, he knew that look. He’d grown up with that look, and suffered from it quite a bit. “So I can only imagine what she’s thinking…what’s going to happen to me today?” he said raising an eyebrow and then looking away from Repa back towards Ebony. “Any ideas?”
“Yes Sir, Prince Raines…that’s me.” Josh grinned back at Zack as he spoke about him working, yes, Josh did work and he enjoyed it…most of the time, it was just to ensure his world’s safety. He wasn’t going to be a whiney little bum just because he was royalty or rich or anything. On the battlefield, in combat, or even just at the base, he always felt just like one of the guys, normal, nothing that special about him, except for his fighting skills, that’s all he relied on. No one ever called him ‘your majesty’ or ‘prince’ or anything even close to a royal title, it was sort of refreshing not to be so high up on ranks. “Well thanks, I’d rather fight with my men and protect my people then watch them all suffer from the safety of my home.” He said honestly before Repa said something about popcorn. What was she planning?! “Popcorn…? Really?” Words: 732 Muse: Good Tagged: Repa, Ebony, Zack Notes: NONE!

Princess at Heart”Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.” Oh how mature were we today? Repa was probably acting like such a kid, but then again, she never really got to all that much. Usually she was more quiet and mature, sort of an adult figure at times, but definitely not today. Perhaps she should cool it and try to be a bit less…childish? After all she wasn’t a teenager anymore, no sense in fooling around all the time right? Nah, she needed some fun. She couldn’t resist enjoying life here for a while, acting carefree and like a kid again, it brought back so many memories. Less stress, and nothing to worry about, everything back then sure was sugar and rainbows…but now, there wasn’t much to be happy with these days. “So what if I act like a kid sometimes? It sure beats dealing with the stress of adulthood right?” She said with a bright smile as she had explained that she had a scary side, which she did have, everyone had that scary side to them, it all depended on when you unleashed that side…considering circumstances.
“I’m totally scary! I don’t see why everyone thinks I can’t be scary just because of how small I am.” Repa said placing her hands on her hips after Zack had poked her in the stomach. She was trying to form a menacing look on her face, though it probably failed because the corners of her lips kept twitching to turn upwards into a smile and possibly a laugh. Giving up on that look, she smiled and sighed. “I’m a softie…I get that…but I can be a scary marshmallow sometimes?” She more or less questioned, she couldn’t exactly remember the last time she had exploded on someone or really been angry enough to scare people, but it was sure possible. “Well aren’t you just a chivalric SOLDIER? Never mistreating a woman, how noble.” She smirked, of course growing up in her world that was a theme with the soldiers here. Chivalry, and Josh had that side to him as well, always treating a woman like a lady, like a princess, it was just the nature of men around here…typical.
Repa’s face really did look quite diabolical, and this was her plotting face. How to get that smack down to initiate? The wheels in her head were definitely turning, as pretty much anyone could tell if you looked at her face. Just…so evil! But she tried to tone down that smug smile of hers and try to be a bit more sophisticated while others were around. Shifting her gaze around from Zack, to Josh, to Ebony and back, Repa just sort of kept quiet as Josh was doing some talking, then Zack and him had conversed, and Repa, still plotting, just imagined what it would be like to watch a fight. Popcorn and Soda for everyone! “Me? Diabolical expression? What are you talking about?” And with that she tried to play off an innocent smile, as always. But it didn’t seem that anyone was gonna buy into that. “Ebony?! You’ve never had popcorn before? Girl! That’s crazy! Don’t worry, I’ll help you make up for that…we’ll get you some popcorn.” She said to Ebony with a smile before she glanced over at Zack. “Save you some popcorn…” she repeated almost ‘thinking’ about it. “I can make no promises.” Words: 689 Muse: Good Tagged: Ebony, Zack, Josh Notes: POSTING FRENZY!
