“The City is just ahead….we can stop there for the night…get some food and rest. Tomorrow will be a long day.” “I’m sorry for what I said back there…I should know better than the fuel and argument.” Cloud sighed as he closed his eyes for a moment. And then he opened them back up. "I'm sorry as well...That wasn't me back there. Even for you...You know I've never lashed that hard core out before on you...I didn't mean it man....Honestly, it's this damned brand that is making me feel differently about things. And I think. it has more focus on anger than any other emotion...." This was him indeed being honest to the red headed Turk he held a grudge for for so long! The fact that this man was taking his his life and placing it on the line for him was amazing to Cloud. He walked over to Reno then as he placed a hand on the man's shoulder...."You saved my life....A lot of people will thank you for that... Including me..."

He said as he looked at the man in the eyes just then...Did he say and do what he just thought he had done? Yes, Cloud was deciding that it was time to put the past in the past and go on with what was placed in front of you instead....Was this the Cloud every one knew? Or was he just so damned terrified of death that he was asking out for help? No he was not that way. He had to take all in and accept what was placed in his life. He was a L'Cie...Public enemy number one now....So he had to fight for his life...If he had to live like this for now on, a life on the run then so be it...He would not let those that cared about him down one second.....He knew he was running out of time too. But he had to do what he had to do to stay alive.....

"Come on..." He said to Reno softly and walked in into town then....As he walked in to the closest hotel and rented a room for him and Reno....He was ready for a nights sleep...He needed it. He really needed to grab sleep while he could get it...

Second in Command
Looks like today we're clockin' out early

Apologies were just flying all over the place now weren’t they? Reno was a bit surprised that Cloud said he was sorry, he didn’t expect it nor did he brush it off as nothing, he just stared at the blonde for a good moment or two, blinking in utter shock at what he had just heard. He understood everything Cloud had said, he knew that wasn’t exactly Cloud back there, Cloud may have hated his guts, but would never threaten him like that, and Reno really did appreciate this apology, and he accepted it no matter what. He smirked a grin onto his face, of course the two probably wouldn’t be the best of buddies, but it was a step forward. “It’s alright Cloud…I can’t say I understand what you are going through…but there’s really no need for you to apologize…I’ve heard this stuff can really get the best of you.” He said with a heavy sigh.

Reno then felt the hand on his shoulder and he froze for a second before realizing it was Cloud. He turned a bit to face the man who had been apologizing to him and grinned a bit. “Alright then, sounds good to me, so long as I’m on good terms with people I’m happy.” He said before stretching a bit as they started off once again. Placing his arms behind his head as he walked Reno felt pretty good about himself right about now. He had saved the day twice…and that was a big accomplishment for him, especially when it was Cloud he was saving. Good deeds did make you feel good! And Reno kept that grin on his face all the way into the city, and even as Cloud rented them a room, he felt the need to still be happy.

As Reno walked into the hotel room he looked around for a minute before feeling a wave of tiredness sweep over him. Today had been a long day, it was time for some sleep, but before he did anything he walked over to Cloud. “Just out of sheer curiosity…” he said rubbing the back of his head. “Are we you know….Cool?” He said with a nervous grin as he waited for a response, he didn’t know what to expect. Sure both he and Cloud had apologized to each other, but that didn’t mean they were going to be friends, or even ‘cool’ for that fact. Reno just wanted to know where Cloud stood right about now. With a Yawn Reno then walked over and collapsed on one of the two beds In the room and folded his arms behind his head staring at the ceiling. “It’s funny you know…us working together…no one would ever have seen it coming.” He said with a sigh as his eyes closed but a smile remained on his face for a bit. “We’re in this together you know that right…?”

Cloud Strife

He walked in the room after Reno had. He was just tired and wanted sleep for at least a few hours. He heard Reno yawn a few times. But he was able to get out all the man was saying when he too took the other bed on the other side of the room. He laid his head back on the pillow and let his chest pump up and down as he looked up at the ceiling. He let his eyes blink a few times as he listened quietly to all what Reno was saying. The room was very quiet. Except for Reno talking. He was actually feeling peaceful as he sighed slightly...And laid there with one leg draped off the bed. He did not even bother taking off his boots either....

He was able to block out some things but a lot of things not so much. He'd lie inside himself for hours if it were possible. He found his mind to be the only haven he had left. He was dead certain he would never be returning back to 7Th Heaven. But he also knew he was in good hands. He was used to Reno's mouth going on and on so it was not bothering him one bit as he laid there with his eyes closed he listened quietly. But when he heard that last thing, Reno had ask he gave the man his answer.

"MMHHHMM....." He was so worn out that he was just laying there quietly. Even Reno would soon have to sleep. Cloud wanted nothing for the man to return back to Midgar unharmed. And he was prepared to do as he had to, to make sure that Reno was returned home safely. The man had dedicated his life as a Turk. Had Cloud finally realized what that meant? Maybe...Being a Turk meant a lot of things.....But Cloud was never one. He had no idea what kind of dedication they place themselves in....Soon however sleep would take them both over..They were still human. Even if some refused to see it...As usual he told some one good night in his mind...and that some one was always Tifa....

Second in Command
Looks like today we're clockin' out early

Reno was well relaxed by now, sleep would be no problem for him. As he laid there he could feel sleep enter the room, Cloud was probably exhausted, and Reno knew he himself sure was. Keeping his eyes closed and what not Reno mumbled his last few comments and waited around for Cloud’s reply, it wasn’t too reassuring, but he’d take it anyway. Perhaps this was the start to a truce? No more trying to kill each other kind of thing, that would be a miracle. Reno took in a deep breath and kept quiet then, letting sleep drift over him and he was out. Dreaming of back at ShinRa and on missions with Rude and Cissnei, the good days to him at least. But now he was far away from that, but he’d return soon, he knew it, and go back to living life as he always had, working for ShinRa of course.

As the night went on Reno kept still as he was asleep, no tossing or turning, in fact he was quite content. And once a few hours rolled by, his eyes shot open in the dark to start the new day. As he rolled over his own bed and looked at the alarm clock built into the hotel room, Reno sighed and yawned before laying face down in his pillow. Darn that mental alarm clock in his head that always got him up bright and early for work. After a few minutes of sulking in his pillow, Reno got up and straightened his messy suit…not that it bothered him or anything, it was almost a little less than perfect. While staring into the mirror, Reno also fixed his hair and goggles that always seemed to be strapped to his head, all and all, he looked pretty good for not having a new change of clothes or a comb to tame his wild bright hair.

Looking over at Cloud in the dark Reno sighed before heading out of the room. He walked downstairs and as any hotel seemed to do, they had breakfast going. Complimentary was always nice. He grabbed a few of the disposable plates and filled them up, no one else was down here so why not grab all you can while you’ve got the chance? Of course this was for Cloud as well. Reno felt his stomach grumble loudly and once he had his plates full he walked back up to the room Cloud had rented and walked in, the sun was coming up and Reno figured he would be the best wake up call. Closing the door by kicking it with his foot he called out. “Rise and shine!” He said with a chuckle before setting a plate down on the side table next to Cloud’s bed before relaxing back on the one he had slept on. “Wake up there blondie…don’t want your food getting cold now would ya?”
