Cloud Strife
Nightmares become real... Love remains the same.... But soon everything will disappear.... All because of me....
Cloud opened his eyes....And saw that Sephiroth was now directly above him.....He was going to die today....He knew he was....Cloud's eyes then widened in more fear as the sword was coming right down towards his chest! This was it....."Tifa I love you....." He said in a muffled voice....Probably so muffled Sephiroth couldn't make out what he was saying....And then another voice came.....
"Damnit Sephiroth!!" "Cloud!? You ok??"
Zack? How's he know? Cloud closed his weak eyes as he just huffed in pain and silence....He was trying to hold on...He knew what the out come of any L'Cie would be if they had not completed their focus....Cloud couldn't even think about it. But Zack's voice was enough to make Sephiroth stop from finishing Cloud off....There was only one person that could've told Zack about this....Aerith....Cloud knew that off bat....It had to be her....Who else would know? No one. "Hello Puppy...ready to die?" Cloud turned his head towards Zack....As tears from just pain just fell from Cloud's eyes then as he saw his best friend...."Z....ack, finish....him.....off....." (Couldn't resist it^^ XD)......At that Cloud closed his tired eyes and just laid there....More fighting....? Cloud was sick of fighting....He was sick of living this way....Being a L'Cie and all was so not some thing some one would just wish to be.....
Though Cloud did kick Sephiroth's butt pretty hard earlier with the massive sword attacks Cloud was still not able to bring down his greatest enemy....And when Sephiroth mentioned Tifa....That made Cloud sicker to his stomach....Cloud had to have faith though that Zack was gonna be the hero this time.....Not him....Even if Cloud did die....He knew Zack would protect Tifa....It was just how close he and Zack were....Zack would just know to do that for Cloud....But still Cloud didn't wanna think about that.....All he wanted to do at this point was live and see Tifa again....Even now.....Not knowing it, Cloud was giving away his L'Cie side.....Zack would see his brand light up almost in a fade sorta way.....But Cloud didn't know it was trying to protect him from any more harm....Cloud wanted to fight right by Zack's side so badly it ached! But he knew now that was impossible.....Cloud was not the type to run from a fight....Sephiroth knew that all to well....That's what happened at the beginning of this one.....
((Go on and post....I'll post Aerith again soon^^))

::...The Puppy...:: Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. Zack might never have felt anger like this in his lifetime. Sure he had been angry before, even furious, but this…this made him look like a saint for how angry he was now. Everything. Sephiroth ruined everything, and he would pay! Finally he would pay, but was Zack truly strong enough to fight him? He wasn’t thinking clearly at the moment, brain too clouded by anger and the rage that had built up in his body from the time he had had to fight and kill his mentor.
Zack stood there and watched the scene unfold before his eyes. Dread welled up in him, but his anger wouldn’t allow him to think of what might happen. The nightmare from their past was there, ready to kill, and he couldn’t do anything about it, at least not from this point, high above them. He couldn’t let that happen! Tifa, Aerith, they counted on him to bring Cloud back, at least Aerith did. He couldn’t let him die! His focus, Gaia, he needed to live!
“Yes, I’m ready to die Sephiroth, but I’m not going to.” He shouted down at him, bringing a hand back and clasping his sword in his hand. “No, we won’t die today Sephiroth, its you that will once again be defeated, as you always have been. We’ll be here to watch you in misery.” He said loudly, taunting Sephiroth. At any time he could just run Cloud through and then turn to him, he wanted to make him mad so that he would just turn to him instead of hurting Cloud. This is it, you’re probably gonna die now man…but at least you will have died for a good cause! He smiled a bit, wishing he had told Aerith once more that he loved her. Stop with that! He didn’t kill you last time, he won’t this time, besides you’re stronger now. He chided himself, he wouldn’t die today!
He just stood there, ready to accept his fate. No matter how it turned out, he was going to see it through. He hoped it didn’t turn out the last time he had stood prepared to accept his fate. It had ended with his death. Trying to shove those thoughts out of his head, Zack lifted his head proudly, eyes watching, waiting. He would let Sephiroth come to him. He had the advantage of the higher position. Anything he had he was going to use to his advantage.
He heard the words Cloud spoke to him and despite the seriousness of the situation he smiled. He remembered saying those exact words to Cloud when he had been lying there, defeated and unable to get up. Cloud had won, so maybe it was their good luck charm. He just gave a nod and lifted his sword, clasped it with both hands and closed his eyes for a moment. Just like he did before going into a big fight, maybe it helped to make him concentrate, or maybe it was just something he had picked up from Angeal. Either way, any help he could get was a help. “I’ll see you rot.” He said softly, repeating the words Sephiroth had told Genesis all that time ago. The past…time…it seemed to stop as the wind caught at his hair and clothes, seemingly foreshadowing what was to come. “Come on Sephiroth! Are you scared?” Oh yeah, a taunt, probably not good since it was directed at Sephiroth? He called himself all kinds of fool and he was sure Angeal was calling him a fool as well.

~Evil Angel~ I was chosen to rule this planet. Sephiroth almost turned back and killed Cloud when he whispered out to Tifa. Fool, no one cared for him! No one cared for anyone except themselves. Their own stupid pleasures and desires. He hated them all! As it was he felt anger, anger that these stupid humans thought themselves superior. They didn’t know the meaning of the word! Yet he did, the blood of the ancients flowed through his veins. That meant that he was truly the superior person. Anyone with sense would bow before him. Worthless, all of them. Leeches that only sought to stay alive, even if it meant killing others.
Well they would bend to him, he was indestructible. A master of war and fighting, Zack was in for the fight of his life, and then he would die a hard death. And he would be sure to make him know that Aerith would die as well before he got sent to the lifestream. He actually smiled at that. Yes, it would be worth the wait to be able to see the fear in their faces, knowing, as they lay broken and bloody on the ground that the women they ‘loved’ would be killed as well. As they knew of their own destruction, so they would know about the destruction of everything they held dear.
Zack’s reply made his lips curl back in fury. No human was ready to die. They would beg and plead for their life, which made them weak. Knowing that Zack would welcome death made him have more of an advantage. As was the fact that though he was human, he was enhanced. He was no simple human. All the more reason to kill him. He felt anger swell up in his chest though he fought it down. He refused to succumb to the hatred that burned within him. Then he was surprised. Zack had dared to speak what he had said, Sephiroth raised his sword until it was pointed in his direction.
Then Cloud told Zack to…finish him off? That would never happen. He actually laughed at that. (The laugh from disturbed, inside the fire intro) A scorning laugh, one that mocked and burned with hatred for the men that dared to stand up to him. He had no use for them, they would all die and no one would mourn their passing. Fools. They were all fools, and they would die because of that. “Give in to the night.” He said then, bitterly, hatefully as he watched the raven haired man lift his massive sword high and press it against his forehead. Angeal had done that many times. “Feel it taking over!” He said coldly.
He knew that he was at a disadvantage with having the lower ground. Obviously Zack would not come to him and disrupt that advantage. Smart. He would give him that, it was smart to stay where he was. “There is much you love Puppy…I’m going to take it all away.” He spat out before propelling himself in the air. He jumped off ruble, hovering in the air before he made it up to where Zack was standing. Sephiroth moved as a graceful cat, no movement wasted as he moved toward him, bent on destruction and the end of a ‘hero.’ “I think I’ve made my message clear, you will die this day.” With that he swept toward Zack, sword raised. Putting magic into the sword he slashed and sent it in waves toward the tall man standing so confidently, facing him. Oh yes…they would die this day.
Words: 699 Muse: Pretty good Notes: Sorry it took me so long. Full of disturbed lyrics

Cloud Strife Nightmares become real... Love remains the same.... But soon everything will disappear.... All because of me....
Pain, beyond pain hit his entire body as he looked up at the man that was about to end his life for good. He was going to die here today he had accepted that. When Sephiroth moved away from him, he knew Zack had done some of his provoking to get the man away from him. The loss of blood was tremendous. He could not even breathe. He just chose not to. He knew this was the end of him. Rather, Zack was fighting for him or not. Cloud looked up at the dark sky above him with weak eyes. As tears fell from his eyes. A bloody stained tears fell....As he remained silent. He then heard the swords clash as he knew Zack was fighting. But that was all he could hear at the moment. Even their voices were draining. He was in so much pain he could not lift any thing. He couldn't even if he tried. He was pinned to the ground. He was cold and broken...dying and lost all hope. He knew Sephiroth would feel his emotions. And Cloud knew the man would be over joyed by the way he was feeling. It was almost over for him. As he laid there on the cold concrete. Not the way he wanted to die. But he was a soldier......You never get a choice where any way....He was almost at the point of suffocating...It was that bad for him. As he coughed up on some of his own blood....He moved his head to the side as he was looking over at Zack...Or what he thought was Zack and Sephiroth fighting....He was fading away faster and faster...His heart was just slowing down with each second gone by. He moved his head back up right and looked at the sky...As he saw the dark clouds moving out to reveal a morning dew a head he laid there as he looked over to his left and was able to see the sun rise....He would never forget this. Since it was his last sun rise. He let tears fall as he glared at the rising sun....Every thing else was deafen and he could not register what any one would say. There was nothing more for him. He was dying. He held on as long as he could. But it was hopeless. He at least held on until Zack got there...And now he could die in peace. As he took his final breath, he was breathed in the fresh morning air once more.....As he then felt the darkness take over him and he closed his eyes...... ((Sephiroth would feel that in a heart beat!!! XD))

o ::...The Puppy...:: Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. Zack lifted his sword up to fighting level and waited as Sephiroth spoke his nonsense about darkness and having it taking over. He narrowed his eyes when Sephiroth made the threat that he would take away everything he loved. “You already have once Sephiroth, I won’t let it happen again.” But suddenly magic waves were being sent his way one right after the other. Zack blocked them all, lifting and lowering his sword to break through the defense of the attacks. These were stronger then they had been the last time he had done this, but then again, so was he.
When Sephiroth attacked him, Zack spared with him, fended off his attacks and all around fought him head on with their massive swords. Metal clashed on metal as they went back and forth. Then Sephiroth twirled around sharply, feinting an attack before whirling into a different attack. Zack lost his footing and dropped to one knee when Sephiroth’s masamune hit his buster sword. He held onto the sword with one hand while the other was spread out onto the ground, holding himself upright as the weight of Sephiroth’s anger and strength bore down on him. With that Sephiroth flicked his sword and threw Zack back. Advancing toward him, he grabbed Zack by the shirt front and hurled him down onto the rubble. A stabbing pain hit his left shoulder as he felt it snap out and back into place again. It had been disjointed there for a second. "Focus Zack." Angeal's words came back to him then.
“Damn…it…” He breathed out, blue eyes turned up to look at Sephiroth as the man just laughed and spoke to him. Sephiroth then came to him, put a foot on his chest and laughed again. He had failed again; he was going to die again. From this angle he couldn’t get the leverage he needed to throw Sephiroth off. He couldn’t fail! He would have to pull out an attack Sephiroth didn’t know he could do. But could he before Sephiroth killed him? Something he would never expect. No one knew that he could use magic without materia, and there was no material in his possession. At that moment Sephiroth’s eyes turned away from him. Zack followed his gaze as he looked at where Cloud was lying.
And he knew. “CLOUD!” He yelled out, before Sephiroth cocked his head back and laughed triumphantly. “DAMN YOU!” He yelled then at Sephiroth. Finding the strength from inside himself and with Sephiroth distracted by his own ‘triumph’ Zack grunted and threw Sephiroth from leaning against him. He jumped up and in a second had summoned lightning with his left hand and hurled it in rapid succession at Sephiroth. Sephiroth backed up as Zack came toward him, hurling lightning and then he started attacking him with his buster sword as well. His shoulder hurt, but he ignored it and continued on, practically seeing double with how angry he was. Then Sephiroth did something he was shocked at. He retreated, and yet his words of parting make Zack shudder. “I’ve won…you can live for now, but Tifa won’t.” With that he disappeared.
With that he turned and ran back to Cloud. “Cloud!” He shouted as he checked for a pulse. Nothing. “You’ve gotta be KIDDING ME!!” He shouted before praying that this next thing would work. Cloud’s brand was still active. Zack touched it and wrapped his hand around Cloud’s wrist. “Come on, please work.” He begged out loud as he tried to feel his pulse. With that he knew…he was going to shock Cloud’s heart back to going again. Putting his sword back on his back, Zack laid his hand back on Cloud’s chest and summoned a tiny portion of lightning. Hopefully the shock would get his heart going again.
Trying not to think to much, he sent the tiny bit of electrical shock into Cloud’s chest and muttered the hope that it would work. “Please please please, I don’t have the courage to tell Tifa he died! Don’t DO THIS TO ME!” He shouted at Cloud, maybe his yelling would get through to this. Just a faint flicker of life until he could get him to Aerith. She could heal better, if only he could get a flicker of life!

~Evil Angel~ I was chosen to rule this planet. Sephiroth just attacked then, no more speaking, all there was now was to attack. To maim, to kill, to destroy. And Zack was going to be dead, he promised himself that Zack would be dead at his feet beside Cloud. He watched out of intelligent green eyes Zack blocking the magic attacks he had hurled his way. Impressive. Zack was having less difficulty blocking them this time then the last time they had fought. He didn’t take the time to dwell on that though, either way Zack would be dead. No one to stop him when both ‘hero’s’ say lay dead at his feet.
Finally he got tired of watching him ward off his attacks. That was when he moved in. Snarling, he attacked him from every angle, sword simply a glint of metal as it flashed here and there. Quicker then the eye could follow, and yet Zack went hand to hand with him and did not seem to be tiring. He felt a growing anger in his heart as they fought. Suddenly getting tired of their sparing, and feinting an attack so that Zack would be preoccupied, faster then lightning he attacked from a different angle. Zack, being off balance from quickly trying to defend against the new attack, was thrown off balance and he forced him to his knees.
He leaned his weight against the sword that was being kept away from Zack’s heard by a large buster sword. The sword of his previous friend. That’s when he flicked his wrist and threw Zack backwards. He sneered as he advanced and paused for a second. He could just end it there, stab his sword into Zack’s heart and kill him, and yet instead he leaned down, grabbed Zack’s shirtfront and threw him down into the rubble. The flash of pain across Zack’s face made his eyes narrow. When Zack spoke to him he laughed, harsh, mean, “Ready to die now?” He walked closer and put a foot on his chest, pinning Zack down to the ground. Lifting his sword, he was about to plunge his sword into the chest of a former comrade when something happened that made him pause.
Eyes turned toward the blonde haired man that had just taken his last breath. It was done. He chuckled again, Cloud Strife was dead. His enemy and the man that had time after time tried to overthrow him. Zack’s yelling was blocked out as he took a moment to cherish his victory. The rest he could destroy like bugs. He was satisfied…but now…he turned back to look at the raven haired man beneath him when suddenly he felt himself being thrown off. He growled in anger as Zack seemed to find more strength. But it was all the better, when you fought in anger you made mistakes, and Zack was definitely angry.
No one was more surprised then he was though, when lightning started flashing toward him. Dodging the lightning, he did not show his surprise, but he wondered how Zack had gotten this strength. A bolt singed his left arm. Narrowing his eyes, he transferred the weapon to his right hand and met Zack’s attacks with his sword. Was it worth getting injured over? No it wasn’t, so he took his leave, knowing he could kill Zack, but choosing not to, instead he might be useful to him later on. “I’ve won…you can live for now, but Tifa won’t.” With that he raised his eyes and lunged into the sky, going up to the ledge and disappearing. He would go to Tifa…kill her first, and then he would go after that damned Ancient. Zack would watch her die and only then would he kill the man…
The one Winged Angel would be back...
Words: 730 Muse: way better (I feel evil lol) Note: EXIT SEPHIROTH! So Zack'll take Cloud to Aerith now!

Cloud Strife Nightmares become real... Love remains the same.... But soon everything will disappear.... All because of me....
Death took over him. As he was in nothing but darkness at the moment. But still there was no Life Stream where he was. He was in pure darkness. And he was starting to get extremely worried. Was he really dead? He had to be. He took his last breath. And just as he thought there was some thing up, he saw the entrance to the Life Stream. The very entrance he knew all to well. But should he go in? Of course he would go in! He really did not want to go back to that world. He started to go to the portal. But some thing stopped him...A voice of agony and sorrow...Zack's voice to be exact. “Please please please, I don’t have the courage to tell Tifa he died! Don’t DO THIS TO ME!” Tifa....Tifa Lockhart. He could not leave his one true love to that world all alone with out his love. He wanted to go back now more than ever. He wanted to wake up and make Zack happy again. But for some odd reason he could not get back to his body....He wanted to wake up more than any thing. His life was there on Gaia....L'Cie or not....He was needed there. And he had to get back there some way or another. He then felt a spark on his chest as he was just jumped....And his body jumped as well when Zack put a little spark of lightning in his heart. Zack was obviously trying to bring him back. And that was enough spark, to bring him back to his body. As he gasped out! But as he opened his eyes, Zack would see no more light in them as Cloud looked up at his best friend...He couldn't even speak yet and he wanted to tell Zack. But he had a feeling that Zack knew now what he was....And not to mention, Cloud was thankful for what Zack had done for him. He didn't know Zack could even spark out lightning. Like he had done. Cloud had never seen that happen. "Zack....I'm....." He said with a very weak voice...He was trying to tell him thank you. But he was way too weak. As tears fell from Cloud's eyes as he looked up at the man that just saved his life.....Yet again.....Cloud's throat was too dry to even speak any thing any further....He glanced at his brand and looked back at Zack....Zack would know then that this was the secret that Cloud tried to keep from him...And he was sure that Sephiroth had told Zack by now about it. It never donged on him that Zack knew already what he was...

::...The Puppy...:: Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. Zack wanted to pull his hair out and yell some more, but it wouldn’t help. He realized that. After sending the shock into Cloud’s body he waited and hoped as he saw his body convulse. He dragged a hand through his hair as he watched Cloud’s body resettle back on the ground. Cloud was dead…he couldn’t get out of that undeniable fact. He just stared dumbly down at him, numb to the pain of loosing a best friend. He felt like screaming, or tracking Sephiroth down and making him pay. Or taking his weapon and going up against the fal’cie to kill them for making Cloud a l’cie.
His jaw hardened then, anger flashing in his eyes. They would pay for what they had done to him! His left hand was still wrapped around Cloud’s wrist as he tried to think of something to say to Tifa. What was he supposed to say?! “I can’t do it…I just can’t do I-”He stopped as suddenly a pulse beat against his finger tips. He gasped and dropped Cloud’s wrist like it had burned him. Eyes opened wide as he just knelt there and stared down at the blonde haired man he had gone through so much with.
Reaching a hand out slowly, he started to pick up his wrist to feel if he was dreaming or if he had really felt the pulse beat. And then a voice spoke out, Cloud’s voice! “Cloud! Holy mother of darkness you’re alive!” He practically shouted after he heard the two words that came out of Cloud’s mouth. Probably the best two words he had ever heard. He looked down into the mako blue eyes that mirrored his own and wanted to hug Cloud, smack him for even thinking of dying and hug him again all at the same time.
He saw the eyes go from the brand and then back to him and knew. Knew Cloud knew he knew about the brand. He didn’t say anything about it, just grinned down at Cloud like a fool. “Ok here we go, gotta get you to Aerith so she can heal you up nice and proper. I swear to god if you try dying on me again I’ll send every bit of lightning into your chest to get it pumping again just so I can kill you again.” He burst out, voice overcome with relief as he leaned down, scooped Cloud up and lifted himself back to stand again.
His shoulder hurt but he ignored it as he made the climb out of the collapsed bridge. Easier said then done, especially with a package as heavy as Cloud. “I must say Cloud, this was a lot easier last time…what’d ya do? Pack on a bunch of weight?” Gotta keep the jokes rolling so that he wouldn’t think of Cloud dying again, or the fact that he had just brought him back to life. After he finally made it back up to where he had parked his bike he made his way over there. Thank god he was strong and enhanced, not just a regular person. Getting on his bike while maintaining the most comfortable position for Cloud was easier said then done, but he finally managed to do it. Starting the engine while keeping Cloud balanced in front of him and then driving wasn’t exactly easy either, but he managed to do that. Now the final test…calling Aerith, keeping Cloud centered on his lap and keeping the bike going. He could almost feel the sweat as he dug out his phone and pressed the speed dial for Aerith. Holding the phone up to his ear, he hoped she was there…”Please Pick up…please pick up…” he mumbled to himself as he raced through the rubble of midgar. Words: 761 Muse: good Notes: nopers

Cloud Strife Nightmares become real... Love remains the same.... But soon everything will disappear.... All because of me....
He heard what Zack had said and smiled up at his friend. He would gracefully allow his buddy to smack him if he wanted. He knew he must've really scared Zack this time. "Zack, I'm...A L'Cie..." There he spat it out! He said what he was....He knew that he was leaving Zack in the dark about all this. Cloud was still oblivious that Zack already knew long before Cloud probably knew. But he had to tell Zack before some thing bad happened. For a moment the pain did not even bother him any more. His conscious was cleared the moment he told Zack the truth.... He felt his body being carried around obviously by Zack then. He was not in the position to argue with the man to take it easy on him...But he had let out a few groans and let him know that way. He then felt his self being placed on a bike...As he remained quiet and listened to Zack's calming and some joking words that were said. He knew that was only to keep up his spirits...And Cloud nearly silently smiled at some of them. At this point Cloud just wanted to sleep more than any thing! But he was trying to stay away from his friend. He was so out of it though. He didn't know where he was going and at this point he really in his mind did not want to see Tifa at this point...And h just had a feeling that Zack knew that already...She would only be worried half to death about him and that was some thing he would never put her through....

Aerith Gainsborough ...::Flower Girl of Midgar::.... All this time she had known some thing horrible has happened. She could feel it in her own heart. That the one they were fighting for was indeed dead....Until she felt the shock wave hit her as much as it did Cloud and she knew he was back. But it was now up to Zack to get Cloud back to the church so she could heal him...She was standing on her head pacing back and forth some times. Then other times she was basically just praying for them to return safely back...She was scared though of Sephiroth returning to kill them off. But she knew they were both alive still and the Sephiroth had indeed left them. But where? She didn't know that answer...All she was really worried about was Zack and Cloud not Sephiroth.....She then heard her cell go off and she rushed over and answered it.... "Zack?! Are you alright?! Bring him to me...As fast as you can..." He would tell her voice was shaking and she was scared and worried about them...But he knew how this would affect her. Right now all she wanted was to see him and Cloud come through those doors and she would calm down...She knew it was a bit of a ways where the guys were....She just hoped that Zack remembered not to take Cloud to Tifa.... "Zack...Don't take him to Tifa...She doesn't need to see him like this..."

::...The Puppy...:: Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. Zack heard the whispered words that were spoken to him. Glancing down, he met Cloud’s eyes and shook his head, telling him that it didn’t matter, that they would talk about it later; that he only cared about his safety, but he knew Cloud wouldn’t be comfortable until he had acknowledged that he was an l’cie. He sighed and stopped for a second, trying to give Cloud a second to not be jostled around. He was trying to be as gentle as possible, but it was hard to do. He had heard the little groans, but he couldn’t really do much more as it was right now. It hurt him to think of Cloud in pain. “I know Cloud, but we’ll talk about it later ok? Don’t want you to put any more stress on your body.”
It could be really hard not to think of every bad thing that could happen, and even he was thinking of the possibilities. Stop it! We’re close to Aerith, she’ll know what to do, just…get him there! Flipping open his phone and dialing Aerith’s number, he breathed a sigh in relief as she answered. Her voice was shaking, but then again, his had been too in relief when he had thought that Cloud had died. “Yeah I’m fine, a bit bruised up but nothing major, Cloud though…Aerith just be prepared ok? We’ll be there in a few, but he needs the medical treatment now. I did what I could, but I’ll tell you all about it once we get there.”
When she told him not to take him to Tifa’s he nodded, “I wouldn’t think about it, but…Aerith I’m scared for Tifa. Sephiroth said something when he left that makes me think she’s going to be his next target. I’ve…I need to go check on her soon, but first things first; we’ll be there in a few minutes. I’ll talk to you then ok hun?” With that he shut his phone and concentrated on driving again. He kept glancing down at Cloud to make sure he was still breathing, if he had to shock his heart again he would, hopefully he wouldn’t have to though.
Finally after what seemed to be eternity he pulled up in front of Aerith’s church. Putting the kickstand down, he shut off the engine and scooping up Cloud again, got off and strode towards the door, not bothering to take small steps. The way Cloud looked; the sooner he got him to Aerith the better. Kicking open the door with his foot, Zack managed to carry him through and not drop him in the process. “Aerith!” He shouted out, hefting Cloud up and starting to carry him up to where Aerith’s room was. A bed was way better then the floor, and even with the panic he was feeling he wanted Cloud to be as comfortable as he could possibly be. He should be used to this, after all, how many of his soldier friends had died? Especially during that first AVALANCH group? A whole lot, but he wasn’t. He hated death, but he had been a party to a lot of it…still…he would not let Cloud die. No matter what happened, he promised himself that.

Aerith Gainsborough ...::Flower Girl of Midgar::.... “Yeah I’m fine, a bit bruised up but nothing major, Cloud though…Aerith just be prepared ok? We’ll be there in a few, but he needs the medical treatment now. I did what I could, but I’ll tell you all about it once we get there.” She listened to the sound of his voice. She was very worried definitely. She hoped he was pacing himself and not pushing himself too hard. She knew he needed to get Cloud here as soon as possible. But he also needed to think about himself as well...But at this point she would not be able to tell him to calm down. Cause she knew he wouldn't. He was too worried about his best friend. Worrying if he was going to live or die. "I understand darling. I will be. I love you and will see you soon..." “I wouldn’t think about it, but…Aerith I’m scared for Tifa. Sephiroth said something when he left that makes me think she’s going to be his next target. I’ve…I need to go check on her soon, but first things first; we’ll be there in a few minutes. I’ll talk to you then ok hun?” "Alright, I'll see you soon sweet heart...Be careful out there....." When she hung up on him. Her eyes watered up. The thought of Sephiroth going after her best friend made her tear up and full of fear. As she walked up to the room she had prepared especially for Cloud, and started to boil some hot water to help wipe the blood off either of them....She was going to make then as well as she possibly could. She was so worried as her hands shook as she did this....“Aerith!” That voice boomed upstairs where she was! She dropped everything and ran down stairs! The sight of Cloud was indeed not good! She covered her mouth with her hands when she saw Cloud's condition. As she rushed over and took one of Cloud's arms and wrapped it around her shoulders and helped Zack get him up to the bed as they got there she helped ease Cloud on the bed. As soon as Aerith saw the damage done to Cloud's body she was scared that she would not be able to heal all of him.... "Cloud...It'll be alright..." She grabbed one of Cloud's hands....Cloud had passed out yet again...But she could see his chest pump up and down. He was still alive..... "I'm not sure if I can heal him all up Zack...He's too much injured. But I'm gonna try my best...Okay." As soon as she saw the moment. She placed both of her hands on Cloud's biggest wound. Which was the one where Sephiroth impelled him with his sword...Aerith could not hold the tears back as she placed her hand on that wound and blood got on her hands then. But she was strong enough to help her friend live...As her healing power started to pour inside Cloud....There was a faint light soaking into Cloud's wound....She breathed heavily as it was getting to be a but much for her to handle....But she continued on...Cloud mean while was looking a bit better than the last... "hang on Cloud...We're here for you. You can't leave us....." She said with a firm voice even though tears fell from her eyes....

::...The Puppy...:: Your gonna be my…Living Legacy. He saw Aerith come running down the stairs and felt immediately better, everything was going to be alright now. Aerith could heal Cloud. She helped Zack heft him up to bed and as he laid him down on the bedding he felt fear constrict his heart. He had just had his best friend die and had shocked his heart back to life. If ever they needed a miracle it was now, because Cloud looked really bad. Aerith immediately took over and started working on him. Zack stood there, almost dumbly, staring down at his spiky haired best friend who was so close to death. He was hanging there on the balance between life and death, struggling for survival. He couldn’t die! His focus, Tifa, Gaia, his friends, he would NOT let him die.
That snapped him back into action as Aerith said that she didn’t know if she could heal him. “Aerith…we can’t let him die! Is there…what can I do to help?” He had willing hands, and though he wasn’t a doctor, he could help with anything she told him to do. Taking a deep breath he waited patiently for her to tell her what he could do. He stared down at Cloud and held his breath in fear that his eyes would never open again. It was as if their roles were reversed from all those years before on the outskirts of Midgar.
He found himself telling her what happened, if only to occupy his mind so that he wouldn’t think of Cloud’s possible death. “Sephiroth impaled him and then the bridge must have collapsed, he…Aerith he died there.” He rubbed his face with his hands and remembered exactly what had happened. “I…shocked his heart back into going with an electrical shock, I remembered reading about that in a class growing up so I figured I could try it and see if it worked, and it did, surprisingly.” What could he do now? Nothing, he felt completely useless as he paced back and forth waiting to see if Aerith would tell him he could do something to help. That would be a lot better then just pacing here not able to do anything.

Aerith Gainsborough ...::Flower Girl of Midgar::.... “Aerith…we can’t let him die! Is there…what can I do to help?” “Sephiroth impaled him and then the bridge must have collapsed, he…Aerith he died there.” Aerith looked up into Zack's eyes when he said that last part. She was terrified now. Cloud died....But was managed to come back? That was truly amazing. But, she knew it was Sephiroth's own hands that driven Cloud in to this state of darkness he was now in, and when she heard him scream out in pain, Aerith let go...And stopped trying to heal him just then. She jumped back and gasped. She had forgtten that Sephiroth had such a hold on Cloud that this would be the out come of it.
“I…shocked his heart back into going with an electrical shock, I remembered reading about that in a class growing up so I figured I could try it and see if it worked, and it did, surprisingly.”
"I...can't. His darkness in him is to strong for me heal him this way....Zack you have any healing materia? That might help some....." She was really out of options now. She had no idea how to save some one that was so consumed with darkness. Her heart was feeling the pain that Cloud was feeling and it was overwhelming to say the least. She had backed into a wall when Cloud yelled out in pain earlier. She was still trying though. She felt bad that she could not heal him fully. He needed it so badly. But as long as he had that darkness in his heart, there was no chance she could touch him. "Zack, you might have to use more than a spark to bring him back...." She said softly as she walked over to Cloud's side and rubbed a cloth on his chest as she wiped some blood off him. She wasn't sure what could happen now. Cloud was just in his delicate state that she was lost for answers past this point.
