The Fal'cie were planning to destroy the world of Cocoon, to bring back the maker with a sacrifice of millions of lives for all who lived there, but...why not just take out other worlds while they were at it? Get l'cie to have a focus to destroy the multiple worlds that were out there, and get more power to the Fal'cie.
For those who are chosen for l'cie...You've got a big job ahead of you...can you resist your focus? And for those who aren't...have fun defending your world from Eternal Darkness. Will you succeed in keeping your home safe? Or will you fail, and fall just as the Fal'cie want you to.
Portals were placed in every world by the Fal'Cie allowing others to travel to different worlds. However the portals are unstable and will not always take their users back to the same place they left from, which makes them dangerous and unable to be used to the advantage of anyone.
Do you have what it takes to face your destiny?

Final Fantasy I World Two centuries ago, a group of people known as the Lufenian, who used the power of the wind crystal to craft giant aerial stations Flying Fortresses and airships, watched their country decline as the wind crystal went dark. Eventually, the earth and fire crystals also went dark, plaguing the earth with raging wildfires and devastating the agricultural town of Melmond as the plains and vegetation decayed.
Final Fantasy II World Freedom. This is a concept that men have fought about for as long as stronger men found out that it might be a good idea to oppress other people in order to make their own lives easier. It is something that they would gladly die for, and that they want above all other things. The citizens of the Paramekian Empire are not free. The empire itself is ruled by a psychotic, hellbent on conquering the planet, and able to summon evil monsters to crush and wage war on his enemies.

Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VI World One thousand years ago three gods known as the Warring Triad who served as the source of all magic in the world started a conflict known as the War of the Magi. This quarrel released magical energy into the world, transforming any human touched by it into an esper, who were used as soldiers by the gods. Eventually repenting of the war, the Warring Triad returned free will to the espers and turned themselves to stone. Their only request was that the espers ensure their power remain sealed so that it could not be misused again.

Gaia The Plane, also known as Gaia is made up of three continents; east, west, and one in the north. It's not simply a planet in space, it is a living organism from which all living creatures are born and to where they all return when they die. Its life blood is the Lifestream, a flow of energy that contains all the knowledge of all the creatures that ever lived on its surface.
Unnamed World The world has no known name, yet is diverse as it is large. It is covered in large parts by water, and is composed of three large continents and several islands of varying sizes.
Gaia It consists of four major continents: the Mist Continent, the Outer Continent, the Lost Continent, and the Forgotten Continent. The vast majority of people in Gaia live on the Mist Continent, and very few travel to, or are even aware of, the other three continents that make up their world, largely because the main mode of transport, airships, run on mist, and mist only exists on the Mist Continent, meaning they cannot fly to other continents.

Final Fantasy XIII
Gran Pulse The savage world derives its name from that of the god Pulse. Its vast wilderness is populated by creatures ranging from the monstrous to the deadly, and its fal'Cie seem to have taken a decidedly less friendly approach toward human dealings than those of Cocoon, cultivating the land for settlement, but demonstrating little concern beyond that. At one time in its history, Gran Pulse was home to a thriving civilization and many great cities. Now it is home to many great ruins, and people are nowhere to be seen.
Cocoon From her lofty seat, the world of Cocoon has long enjoyed tranquility. The interior of her spherical shell supports several sprawling cities and a population numbering in the tens of millions. Although a variety of dangerous beasts prowl the wilds, advanced technology and the protection of the world's fal'Cie keepers ensure residents a peaceful and prosperous existence. Travel to the lower world of Pulse is forbidden, but given their deep-seated cultural fears of the place, Cocoon citizens would not even think to venture beyond the paradise they know.
Final Fantasy XIII Versus World This world takes place in seems very similar to the real world, with modern technology such as cars and highways being visible. The world also contains medieval elements, such as castles and armored soldiers.
Delatorr A world ran by a Royal family. It has beautful wildlife reservations and tiny towns surrounding the rest of the world. Also this is the home of Repa and Joshua Raines, the Princess and Prince of this world.
Dissidia The gathering stage of the war between the Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos, and the god of discord, Chaos. This battleground, made from portions of every Final Fantasy game, is fused together to fight the ultimate battle between of the light against the darkness. However, the battle remains in an endless cycle due to the entity Shinryu reviving the fallen god or goddess and continuing on the fight as decided by a contract with Cid of The Lucretia. Will you be summoned?
